This is my absolute favorite boba shop. the drinks are fabuloud, and it's just a really cute place to hang out.

The owner that I met a few months ago was nice and attentive - however, when I called in today, one of the female employees felt rather rude as if my calling them was very annoying to them (before I even asked anything). She also was not familiar with the way I said the location's name where I said "tra boba" and she responded that "no, this is t-r-a boba and snacks". She couldn't even confirm the location being next to HK bbq, basically saying she doesn't know her own neighboring store. Overall was turned off by the experience and changed my boba plans to buy elsewhere. Maybe I'll come back when someone else more pleasant is working. read more

Okay, I posted that original review because I came in nearly every day for like half a year and it was great. Everyone who worked there used to be so nice and attentive. Their music was tasteful but trendy, and never too loud. The snacks were an occasional treat but SO GOOD, and the drinks were consistent. I always thought they were pricey, but I was paying for a nice ambiance, good service, consistent drinks and food, and guaranteed seats! But unfortunately Trà has gone down! They increased prices, added food that was NOT developed or tasted before rolling out, and they play weird loud chanting music the times I have been back. I have ordered the vietnamese coffee before, but recently it was watery when I received it and not full. My other favorite drink, passionfruit tea half sweet, is never going to be the same again. Every time I try to go back, it's inconsistent and ultimately not worth it anymore. I used to LOVE this place and I'm heartbroken. The nail in the coffin has been making the grave mistake of relying on my memory and ordering the popcorn chicken. Picture attached and speaks for itself! The girl working on Thursday 6/4 for closing shift was extremely rude for no reason. I asked her a simple question and she walked away from me without saying anything, once she returns she tells me they are sold out of items which seems like a lie because right after that she says "we are literally closing in 10 minutes". I had no idea when they closed but a simple "we're closing already" would've been fine with me and I would've left the establishment, but instead I was met with a horrible attitude. Once I left I checked the time they closed at & it says 8:30. I walked in at 7:45... all I wanted was some milk tea... Grabbed their drinks on my way to Idyllwild, and I love how cozy their vibe is. A lot of seats and place to hang or study. The drinks are vary so they have a pretty good selections on the menu. I got their dragonfruit mango drink, can't remember their unique name, but they are good. I was able to adjust sweetness as well,a nd it's still the best thing ever because I know the boba will add more to the sweetness. Parking: free now, they've removed the bars and no ticket needed when you enter. Taste: the taro cloud cup looks more slender than the picture in the menu and different than in other reviewers' pictures. It's ok, understandable. Inflation. The taro smoothie I got without cheese foam tasted sweet and yummy. The boba though chewy and had a good portion but unfortunately was bland for me/"tasteless" (according to my children, though they enjoyed their Strawberry Yakult with lychee jelly). $8.45 but I probably won't get again. read more

This cafe is run by one barista so we had to wait a few minutes to get our order in. We waited 20 minutes for two milk teas and a Yakult tea. The milk tea was very watered down. The cafe itself it's nicely decorated, but no lights were on inside. read more

Multiple times I've been here and the same rude server is working alone. I don't think it's right for her to have to close alone often but she was impolite to people who were just trying to throw their trash away. Instead of notifying anyone that she was closing she began shutting the lights off and as we were leaving she very rudely stopped us from throwing our trash away and asked us why we thought it was okay to use the trash that was located "behind" the counter even though the trash was located near the back of the counter and the restroom which seemed like a very reasonable trash can to use to discard of well... trash that is. Also as an individual with a job who also works closing shifts I know that it is not a complicated task to take the trash out at the end of the day. I didn't enjoy the music almost as much as I didn't like her attitude. I thought this would be a good place to study because it's never very busy however I can see why that is. We've been trying to find a good boba and popcorn chicken place and this place was a major disappointment. The picture outside didn't match the price nor the food inside. By 5 pm they had already run out of boba even though they close at 11 pm. The popcorn chicken was changed and is now an over salted disappointment that's more similar to small chicken nuggets. The service was whatever and the decorations are nice but you're better off going to boba cafe which is in the same plaza. read more

I took my wife to the nail salon nearby and she wanted a drink, so I went to Tra Boba. I saw some people inside but they were not open for business, but at the time it was already past noon. When I tried to knock and ask to see if they were open, they gave me some weird looks instead of giving me an answer. I went back to the salon, and the people at the salon recommended me to 7 Leaves instead. The lady running the shop insisted that she speak with them because she was their neighbor so she went over to check on them to help their business. She spoke with them to see if they were open because her customers wanted a drink. The girl at the boba shop was so rude, she was very disrespectful to me and the lady, bad mouthing me and leaving poor reviews on her neighbor's business when she was only trying to check in and help. not a huge selection for snacks, which is a little funny considering the name of the shop :p i got the garlic fries and i think the pricing was pretty fair for what i received, and my roommate was very pleased with her spam musubi and drink combo. the portion of the garlic fries was very filling, which i appreciated! i only wish that the garlic seasoning was much stronger, as the garlic taste was pretty subtle. in addition to this, our cashier was really nice, and the barista(?) on duty was very quick to get us our food, despite the several people in the shop. i'll most likely return to try their cajun fries next :) pretty decent spot for a quick snack stop! read more

Wandered in here while I was in University Village for lunch and found out they had a deal going on where you get a free taiyaki with a purchase of a drink! For the fillings you can choose apple, strawberry, cheese, or nutella. I ended up getting a nutella taiyaki as well as a mangonada 30$ sugar. The taiyaki was nothing crazy, but for free I truly can't complain. The mangonada was very refreshing and perfect for 100+ degree weather. Chamoy isn't for everyone though so the sourness/spiciness might throw you off if you're not sure what to expect. I really liked that I was able to adjust the sweetness of it so it didn't feel like I was drinking straight sugar. I probably would've liked it more if there was slightly less chamoy. The inside is very cute, and would be a great place to sit and catch up with friends or maybe even study. I also experienced really great customer service. She could tell I was overwhelmed by all the options on the menu and she asked if I wanted any recommendations. You can get 2 free hour parking in the area and after that I believe it's $2 every 30 minutes but not sure if the restaurants validate the parking ticket or not. read more

Great convenience for students in riverside and priced on the cheaper side. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for and the garlic fries I ordered were quite literally inedible. It was way too salty, and I'm not trying to be picky when I say it was genuinely inedible from how much salt was added onto these fries. Also, extremely soggy fries coming from a soggy fry lover--just disappointed that I can't even eat this snack!! This location was originally Sharetea but was changed to Trà Boba & Snack and I think it changed for the better! The boba used to be mid but after seeing the new store name and changes, the tea (at least the items we got) is so much better than it used to be! Rose Oolong Milk Tea (left): I was pleasantly surprised that the taste of tea and rose was pretty strong for this location! It was a bit sweet, so for next time, I will be getting 70% sweetness! Tiger Boba Milk Tea (right): This drink was too sweet for me, but my bf liked it! The boba was soft and chewy. Overall the tea at this location was pretty solid. The taste of the tea and other ingredients was strong! You can definitely taste the brew. The standard 100% sweet was too sweet in my opinion, so I recommend decreasing it to 70%. Would definitely come back for the Rose Oolong Milk Tea! read more

Amazing, not too sweet and delicious milk tea. Both the taro and Thai milk teas were excellent. Staff were great and offered to adjust the sugar and ice levels to your personal preference.
