The location is perfect and close to a ton of restaurants so you can grab a quick bite after. The building atmosphere is filled with energy and excitement of small business owners. Pare, located towards the back of the oval hallway, has such a warm and inviting feel. It's a small space but really just enough for what she needs. The products she uses are amazing that make my hair smell wonderful, also super impressed with the high-quality tools. Over the last couple years of seeing her, I've noticed that she always makes sure she always gives each client plenty of time and attention, she makes sure they're happy with the end result. I'm the first to say that usually when I leave the hair salon, I hate it for at least a month until the cut grows out. So i'm shocked that this hasn't happened at all since going to Erin. She has a great way of making the cuts look extremely natural and not at all 'just-cut'. I always come out of there feeling fresh and confident. I've also had her do a few 'lived in color' techniques, usually just sitting down and asking her to do whatever she recommends. I am just thrilled each time with what she creates. Literally will never go anywhere else.

When I was growing out my hair, the past two years were a slight struggle because it would grow out thick, and the layers did not grow congruently after a month or so. At first, I thought it was my hair type and texture, but I was becoming frustrated that I have to see a stylist after a month and a half on a pretty consistent basis. You see, for longer hair, you technically don't have to go that often if the cut was done well. I had a slight suspicion that it was how my hair was being cut but remained in denial until the stylist that I was working with couldn't fit me in for a haircut. At that moment, I decided it was time to try a new stylist, and I immediately booked Erin, which was recommended by a good friend of mine. Long story short, I was very impressed with her knowledge and skillset. She shared a lot of knowledge during our first appointment, and the nerdy side of me squealed when she juxtapose architecture with hair. I thought to myself: "Yas, she gets me." I am not an architect by trade, but I love it when people are passionate about the craft and can relay a deeper meaning into their work. Truthfully, the first haircut presented great results - even after a month a half, the layers grew out beautifully, and I really didn't have to get a trim nor haircut at all. This past Wednesday however, I went in for a full babylight and in discussing what I was hoping for I said: super bright, platinum, not warm, "I hate a yellow blonde", "just like last time", and "I can't wait to be platinum again." She asked if I wanted to keep dimension (like last time) because the grow out looked really natural, I said yes. Note, I previously had extensions and was getting partial babylight services because the extensions really brightened the bottom. I was excited to really lighten underneath, and wanted that same bright platinum color. After all of the foils were in, I sat for just 7 minutes before she washed me. I typically sit for 30. As she was washing I said "oh those must have came up really quick" to which she replied "yes because I increased the lightener in the top foils." As she was blow drying, I knew it just wasn't what I had been hoping for. I said in the chair - "I just don't love it, I still reel really dark." She responded, "it's literally bright." That made me question myself, and it didn't create a space where we could talk about how to get my hair to a place where I was confident in the result. She finished, I paid, and then proceeded to cry in the car. After sleeping on it and trying to love it, I couldn't justify spending $500 without speaking up for myself. I texted Chloe (screenshots attached), and her response made me feel gaslit. Yes, we talked dimension, in the same token we also talked platinum and the same brightness as previous visits. Yes, the back was grown out, I should have sat in the foils for longer than 7 minutes. She asked me to call Gabby, the manager. I called, and Gabby could not have been more rude or unprofessional. She told me I could come back in for a paid service because "I already got the service I paid for and Chloe would need an assistant." The website states, adjustments can be made complimentary within 7 days of service. I was told she was booked out for two weeks and there was no availability. I asked if this could be escalated to the owner, Jamie, and she said yes. She requested photos, I sent them (also attached). That was Thursday afternoon, less than 24 hours after the service, it is now Saturday night and they have yet to respond. I called the salon several times today, and it was forwarded to voicemail. So, I drove to the salon where Chloe O. told me she would ask Gabby and/or Jamie to call me back because neither were in. Fast forward, it is 11PM Saturday and I haven't heard a word. I have been so polite and kind in all my conversations, and just wanted to feel happy with my hair - which Chloe L is super capable of, because she has done my hair phenomenally in the past. I am incredibly disappointed at the lack of professionalism, consideration and understanding particularly from a management and ownership perspective. I understand this is a small business, but a client service mindset is so important. I am not one to write a review, but I am so upset and feel like I wasted a significant amount of time, money and tears over this situation.
