I was a walk-in needing over all color to cover my red. Someone said they could help me if I came back in about 30 mins so I did. When I came back I was seated and let the stylist know what i was wanting. Dark brown, not black, wanting to get closest to my natural color. Maybe it would have been better if I came on a different day but ALL of the ladies were swamped!! I was passed off a few times to different people, left in the washing bowl longer than the stylist said, so much so my neck and my scalp went numb! One of their helpers blow dried my hair but she seemed uncomfortable or she is barely starting to learn the trade. She was friendly enough though so I'm not mad at it. I got charged $205 for overall color that I'm not happy with and $25 of that was for a bang snip. When I got home I noticed I had dye on my hands, in my ear and the most upsetting part of all on the back of my dress. One of the stylists took a pic of the back of my head before I left for in sure their social media and I know they saw the back of my dress and didn't say anything. In the end, color will fade, hair will grow back, but this sundress that was my favorite is ruined. read more

Everyone at the salon was very attentive and understood that my hair was in a delicate state regardless Lexy had a plan and executed it beautifully! She was clear on what I could expect with my hair goals given the circumstances and we booked our session for the next day! She is incredible and my hair is now even toned with baby lights throughout and I could not be happier! Y'all have gained a client for life! I want to be clear that I'm not bashing anyone, just sharing my experience. 1) I had an 11:30 appointment time. I got there at 11:15 since I wasn't sure what their check in process was like. It took a few minutes for someone to check me in and they told me that they would see me at my appointment time. By this point I was booked from 11:30-12 for just the tinsel. However, I had decided that I did want to cut my bangs (I was told I could just tell them the day of) so I figured my appointment might take longer. 2) While I was waiting. I could hear two of the workers talking. One of them asked what color tinsel I was getting and if I had an inspo picture. The answer to both these questions was "idk" because no one had even asked me these questions. Then a stylist walked over and handed me several packets of tinsel and told me to pick a color. I was a little let down because I was hoping to be able to have a consultation with the stylist about what color would look best in my hair or get her opinion. But I didn't get that, instead I was handed the plastic packets of tinsel and told to set apart the color I wanted. 3) Someone came in after me as a walk-in. A stylist came over and asked what they were wanting. After hearing what the girl was wanting, the stylist pointed at me and said something along the lines of "okay I have her first but that should only take me 20-30 minutes so I can get you in soon after that." Maybe I'm being too picky but that comment rubbed me the wrong way a little bit because how would she know exactly how much time she would take with me? She didn't know how much tinsel I wanted and she didn't know whether or not I wanted my bangs cut. 4) Once I was seated and was able to tell someone that I also wanted my bangs cut, I was told that I would have a consultation to discuss all of that. However, that never really happened. Again, they were busy so the stylist was jumping back and forth between different clients. So my "consultation" looked mainly like her asking me a quick question in between doing other things. I was hoping for a more personal one on one consultation because I was really hoping for her professional opinion. Instead I felt like I had to rush my responses. 5) She started with cutting my bangs first. I just wanted my bangs cut with a few face framing pieces. My hair was clean bc I had washed it the night before so she did a dry cut. Personally, it felt a little weird cutting my hair dry, however I'm not a professional so I did not question it. However, I did notice that she did not even my part before cutting my bangs. The bang cut was fine, it wasn't anything complicated. 6) Once it came time for the tinsel installation, she let me know that each strand was $5. I was surprised because during the booking, I assumed the "chunk" meant like 3-4 strands at least. That was not the case. Each bead of tinsel has about 2 strands and those were $5 each. She asked how much tinsel I wanted and I decided on doing 9 beads throughout my hair. The tinsel itself is pretty and I like it. 7) The stylist told me that they would blow dry my bangs and style them before I left. Considering my hair was not wet in any way, I assumed they just did this for everyone. I didn't ask for them to do this. 8) When it came time to pay, I was shocked to see my total was $110. The tinsel was $45 bc I only did 9 beads. So that meant that the small cut of my bangs and the "blow dry style" on my already dry hair was $65. Maybe I'm not aware of prices because I typically cut my hair every 2 years but that seemed overly expensive to me. All they did was cut my bangs and a few face framing pieces, I didn't even get a trim on the rest of my hair. Overall, I just feel so sad about this experience. I NEVER do anything with my hair and I was so excited to do this thing that seemed so fun and pretty. However, I just felt rushed, overlooked, and not taken care of. I understand they were busy and had other girls getting color in their hair so that might take priority, but for me, this was supposed to be a luxury to indulge in. And unfortunately, I did not feel like it was worth it. read more

I am a die-hard Stella STAN! When I heard she moved to a salon 45 minutes from me, I knew I had no other choice but to make that drive to see her. I've been wronged so many times in the past, but I know I will come out of the salon looking good and feeling more confident than I did walking in. I've been coming to this salon for a while now and this time everything bad that could've happened happened. To start off I was blonde, went red then today wanted to go blonde again. I've gone through this process before and I know it difficult. My stylist did warn me about not being able to get me to the blonde I'm used to and I just told her I wanted no warm tones. She was clear that w red it might pull warm and i told her ok. It was a lengthy process to keep doing bleach washes to try and life all the red, unfortunately she couldn't (understandable.) AFTER she toned my hair to warm brown she told me what she was doing. I decided to trust the process. Through this process the owner of the store Lexi was there and all her other stylist were there and going to go celebrate someone's bday so they were waiting on all of us to finish. The owner started getting her hair done and got mad at my stylist for using the last of the anti brass on me bc she wanted to use it on her extensions. When she finally took me to dry my hair for my end result the color was a pinky warm brown. I told her u didn't like it at all and she offered to go darker. I told her yes she suggested caramel AGAIN I told her I didn't like warm tones. I told her I'd rather go dark brown instead of warm. She showed me a swatch of dark brown hair and I agreed to that color. After what was maybe the 7th time washing my hair she went to go dry it. I was expecting now a dark brown when she told me she toned it w an ash brown. My hair is now a light ash brown when I asked her for a dark brown. She instantly saw I was upset and offered to redo it. With all the stylist there waiting for her to finish to go out, the owner doing her own hair not caring was was going on with me, and not mentioning I was there from 10-4pm. I told her I didn't want to stay in the salon much longer. Everyone in the salon knew I didn't not like my hair and was upset. I was aware I wasn't going blonde that session what really upset me was I asked for dark brown and she gave me a light ash brown. We could've avoided all the bleaching and process my hair went through if she would've told me it would've been better to just go brown for now. Not only that but I was still asked to take pictures of my hair and offered to buy their products, no one read the room I was not happy with my hair at all. The outrageous part is I was still charged $400 for something I didn't ask for or like. The owner never talked to me she was too busy twirling around with her extensions she was doing. No care for the clientele at all. The cherry on top was being asked to write a review when everyone knew I didn't like my hair. $400, an owner that doesn't care about her clients but only herself and hair I don't like later; I will not be going back and I would advise others not to do so either. Looking back I should've spoken up and refused to pay the outrageous amount for hair I hate. read more
