I had been thinking about it, and usually that just means I change my mind because it involves going out in public, but I had the day free and on a whim and called the salon I've driven past several times. Andy answered the phone and was so professional and KIND that I decided it couldn't be that scary and booked the first appointment they had available for the day-- didn't want to lose my nerve! People get their hair done every day right? There is a wee parking lot, but there are reserved spaces for the salon. The interior is modern, clean, and open. There was music on, but not too loud and not too soft. The temperature was perfect, I'm usually cold all the time everywhere. They have little smocks for customers to wear, that probably helped too. Andy gave me a quick tour, and I sat down to wait for my stylist. I had booked with Carl and he was very friendly, polite, and calm. He was attentive and did a wonderful job helping me decide exactly what I wanted. Throughout the entire process he would inform me what he was doing and why, and was overall extremely pleasant to have a conversation with! I was really happy with the cut and style-- Carl did a fantastic job and is a true professional. Contactless payment made everything easy, and you pay for services first and then use a separate system for gratuity. Overall a wonderful experience and very lovely people!

The stylist didn't seem to put much effort into the haircut, and my hair looked nothing like what I had asked for. I understand it was the end of the day and they may have had a long shift, but that shouldn't affect the quality of service a customer receives. Considering how much I paid, the haircut was absolutely not worth the price. I left feeling disappointed and wish more care had been taken to achieve the style I requested.

The location is perfect and close to a ton of restaurants so you can grab a quick bite after. The building atmosphere is filled with energy and excitement of small business owners. Pare, located towards the back of the oval hallway, has such a warm and inviting feel. It's a small space but really just enough for what she needs. The products she uses are amazing that make my hair smell wonderful, also super impressed with the high-quality tools. Over the last couple years of seeing her, I've noticed that she always makes sure she always gives each client plenty of time and attention, she makes sure they're happy with the end result. I'm the first to say that usually when I leave the hair salon, I hate it for at least a month until the cut grows out. So i'm shocked that this hasn't happened at all since going to Erin. She has a great way of making the cuts look extremely natural and not at all 'just-cut'. I always come out of there feeling fresh and confident. I've also had her do a few 'lived in color' techniques, usually just sitting down and asking her to do whatever she recommends. I am just thrilled each time with what she creates. Literally will never go anywhere else.

When I was growing out my hair, the past two years were a slight struggle because it would grow out thick, and the layers did not grow congruently after a month or so. At first, I thought it was my hair type and texture, but I was becoming frustrated that I have to see a stylist after a month and a half on a pretty consistent basis. You see, for longer hair, you technically don't have to go that often if the cut was done well. I had a slight suspicion that it was how my hair was being cut but remained in denial until the stylist that I was working with couldn't fit me in for a haircut. At that moment, I decided it was time to try a new stylist, and I immediately booked Erin, which was recommended by a good friend of mine. Long story short, I was very impressed with her knowledge and skillset. She shared a lot of knowledge during our first appointment, and the nerdy side of me squealed when she juxtapose architecture with hair. I thought to myself: "Yas, she gets me." I am not an architect by trade, but I love it when people are passionate about the craft and can relay a deeper meaning into their work. Truthfully, the first haircut presented great results - even after a month a half, the layers grew out beautifully, and I really didn't have to get a trim nor haircut at all. We talked first and decided to just cut it to my arm pits. But then we cut a little more. She also gave me layers and framed my face. She also gave me instructions on a product to use to let my hair air dry. I'm unable to put a lot of product in while standing for so long due to a back injury. I just love my hair. There was also a deep conditioning treatment that I wasn't expecting (included in the price of the cut) which made the total experience a little under 2 hours but it was worth it. The only thing I didn't like was the way she combed my wet hair. I have bleached/processed hair so I wish she would've combed gently from the bottom but she started at the top and was a little rough. But I only get my hair cut twice a year so I'd still go back!
