French Dip (all the removed beef was all knotty!)

Welcome back to Josh Eats Telluride (and Mountain Village too, I guess.) As a very positive person, this pains me, but I have to do it. There was a foosball machine that wasn't free, like most are these days, and I ended up playing with napkins. There was not much ambiance, and the food kind of.... Well... stank. Not literally, but it wasn't good. The French Dip's beef was all knotty and sinew-y. Again, so sorry, but I do not recommend this place.

    Teriyaki bowl and Italian sub

Conveniently located right near the ski valet, this is an easy stop for lunch or to hang out after a run. The menu has enough variety to satisfy most, although the food itself is pretty mediocre at best and extremely pricy for what it is (expected as it is located in a ski town). We spent $45 on lunch for two and ordered 2 entrees and 2 sodas. The teriyaki chicken bowl was okay. Decent portion but pretty flavorless. Like steamed/microwaved chicken with a very light brown sauce. Veggies and rice were fine. It's easy on the stomach and covers your basic nutrition. The Italian sub was okay. It fills you up and has most of the expected ingredients, but it's nothing worth reporting about. Outside seating is available. You order inside at the register, pay, and pick up your food at the counter when it's ready.

Fine place to grab a quick drink or dessert in Mountain Village. Service is prompt and polite, if never especially friendly. There are a couple different inside areas (one a bar, the other more family-friendly) and a pretty nice outside patio with heaters. Food is fine but nothing you'll remember later.

Coming to telluride is always a chore to find good food that is not costing an arm and a leg. And tonight I found TRACKS. DANIEL at the food section made the best TURKEY SANDWICH ever and grilled the bread. It made my day. Also that chocolate chip cookie is an OMG moment. Made for a great midnight snack. I'll be back. Thanks DANIEL and his people!!!

Good service, but know that lines will be long during lunch hours. Easy to get to from the main lift with indoor and outdoor seating. I wish they had online ordering so we can find a seat first instead of waiting in line to order and pay, then not finding anywhere to sit after. I did like the convince of the grab and go with plastic ware and napkins where you pick up so your not carrying food around. The prices are also a bit high but I guess it's average for the location. Our food was good but wish is was cheaper and easier to order. Our nachos were about $20 with tax not including tip. Not that big for a group but perfect for two.

Tracks is conveniently located right next to the free Gondola in the center of Mountain Village plaza. It's nice that you ski a run and then walk right over to Tracks for a quick bite or a drink. You can dine in, sit at the bar or order some food at the counter and sit in the plaza area. Tracks Cafe has hot and cold sandwiches, salads, coffees and drinks. They have a large patio area where you can enjoy the views of the mountains as you eat. Sometimes there is a musician out on the plaza playing if you are in the mood for some tunes. The food here is pretty good. I feel like I always order a Bloody Mary when I'm here so I am recommending that. If you are looking for a quick bite for lunch without a super long wait, this is a good stop.

Chicken that fell out of my panini

Hit the spot but tasted a little microwaved. Would've rated higher if my panini as paninied on both sides. Felt a little bit like a fever dream which could be good or bad depending on the way you look at it. The chips with my sandwich was a nice surprise. All in all, filled me up and got me back on the slopes. What could be bad about that??

Super creamy ice cream- vanilla with fudge swirls and PB cups, yes please!!

Tracks is conveniently located in Mountain Village and an easy place to stop in and grab a quick bite or sweet treat! On our first night in town, I was craving ice cream after dinner so we popped in right before close and I got a scoop of the tastiest ice cream (vanilla with fudge swirl and peanut butter cups) in a waffle cone - yes, please! A few days later, I was on my own for lunch while my husband was out adventuring and I popped in for a turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich. That, too, was yummy! But a little on the pricy side - it came out to about $14. There aren't many places for subs in town though, so if you're craving one, this will do! They also offer breakfast, coffee, snacks, and more! We'll be back on a future visit to Telluride thanks to their convenience, i'm sure! :)

The nachos were a bit pricey for the quality, however, they did the job. Service was very quick.

Loaded nachos with pork. Very good. Ton of food!

We had nachos, queso and the teriyaki chicken bowl. All good for a ski resort. They also have Coke products, which is a huge plus!

We started with the steamed mussels served in a heavenly coconut broth, along with the shrimp cocktail and squash blossoms. Every appetizer was outstanding, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The coconut broth with the mussels was especially memorable. It was so delicious that we wanted to savor every last drop. It was one of those meals where everything we ordered just kept getting better. For our entrées, I had the Skuna Bay Salmon and my boyfriend had the Colorado Rack of Lamb, and both were absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked beautifully and full of flavor. We genuinely enjoyed every bite. I had mentioned in the reservation that we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday, and the restaurant went above and beyond by complimenting a flourless chocolate cake for his birthday. It was such a thoughtful gesture and the perfect way to end an already fantastic meal. And then there was our server, Marissa. She was absolutely lovely, warm, attentive, and genuinely wonderful throughout the entire evening. Our water glasses were never empty, and she even scraped the crumbs from our table. Those little details may seem insignificant, but they make such a difference when you're enjoying a special dinner. Marissa provided exactly the kind of thoughtful, polished service you hope for when dining at a nice restaurant. Our table was also lovely. We were seated with a view overlooking Colorado Avenue. It was late and quiet by the time we had dinner, but it was still a nice view and added to the charm of the evening. From the food and service to the thoughtful birthday gesture and our pleasant table location, everything about our evening at New Sheridan Chop House was exceptional. Without question, this was the best meal we had in Telluride. If you're visiting Telluride and looking for a restaurant that delivers delicious food and genuinely attentive hospitality, I highly recommend New Sheridan Chop House. We would absolutely return!

I am not a huge fan of places advertising "ceremonial grade matcha" so we avoided the matcha lattes (matcha isn't even graded in this way in Japan, it just feels like clunky Western marketing?) One of the biggest perks is that dogs are welcome inside as long as they're on a leash, which was a huge plus for us traveling with Luna. I ordered the peach vodka slushy, and it was delicious--light, refreshing, and not overly sweet. The bartender was incredibly friendly, helped us choose our drinks, and took the time to chat with us for a bit. Based on his recommendation, we even ended up buying a bottle of bourbon to take home. They don't serve food, but they do have small bags of chips available if you want a quick snack while enjoying your drink. We also learned that Telluride allows open containers in designated areas, so you can take your drink to go if you purchase it from a participating establishment, which was a fun bonus. The décor is warm and inviting, and the overall atmosphere made us want to stay longer.
