I'm writing it out of a great feeling of resentment because I believe that I was fed bold-faced lies by the staff in order to push me toward an adoption. The sign on the window said that the cat I was considering was a five year old male. On the Saturday before our adoption, we asked a staff member of the cat's medical history. We were told that the cat had been very timid and was losing some weight, and that it had a distended stomach possibly from worms. That wasn't anything we couldn't handle so we decided to adopt. We wanted a 5 year old male because we had a cat and the two would complement each other well. When we sat down to sign the papers, though, that's when the truth started to come out. At least partial truths. Apparently, the cat had no teeth. We asked why, and they had no answers. It also had a heart murmur. I know the former staff member INTENTIONALLY left this out, because the distended stomach was there with this information. She just straight up left it out! We still went through with the paperwork, and at the end, they informed us that the cat was actually 7 years old. All of these things collectively should have told me to cut and run, but in the end the cat needed a good home, so we followed through with the adoption. A few days later, we took the cat to a vet. The vet informed us that actually the cat was more like 10 years old.... oh, and it was also a girl! So we went from a 5 year old male, to a seven year old male, to a ten year old female. CAHS either has no idea what they're doing, or they are purposely handing out false information in order to get pets adopted, which I'm certain is illegal. I likely won't pursue legal action because I'm sure no one will care, and I obviously will love and care for the pet that I've adopted. But folks should be aware of what's going on here, and be prepared for some deceit. CAHS should face some accountability.

For as long as I remember I have been going in this store until today the "manager" is rude and…read moreignorant of the inventory, she is rude short and treats customers and the help with the worse demeanor I have ever experienced I will take my farm business else where and all of our fellow farmers, neighbors, family and friends will do the same. I feel sorry for the workers cause they are so nice and knowledgeable I have gotten help from all who are very nice from the young girl at the register to the young men on the sales floor. Shame on you for taking a good store down to the ground and next time you want to talk bad about customers don't do it where we can hear you, go back to training school and maybe check your matters. Selection it's average and value it's fair. Please home office! pay attention to this new manager she is the worst I ever seen. Will spend my money else where. Very regrettable to see on my favorite store. If it was a choice of no stars this will be my choice.

Worst experience ever at a TSC. I'd call it ridiculous, but that implies a level of humor, and…read morethere definitely was nothing funny about this at all. As anyone who has animals may know, penicillin has been all but impossible to find for months on end now. Hoping to find some online and have it shipped to our farm, I Googled and was surprised -- and skeptical -- to find that this particular TSC reported having two 250 cc bottles in stock. I called the store, told the clerk who answered that I'd be coming from over an hour away, and asked if someone would check to make sure that there was actually at least one bottle in stock in their meds fridge. After being on hold for adequate time for someone to check, she came back on the line and assured me that her manager had looked and they in fact did have two bottles on hand. I reiterated that we would be making a 50+ mile trip each way, and she once again told me that her manager had checked and they were there. Arriving at the store, I made a beeline for the meds fridge. A quick glance confirmed the suspicion that had been growing in my mind; if something seems too good to be true, it's probably false. Approaching the clerk at the register -- the only employee on the sales floor other than a man-child who was in animated discussion on his cell phone -- I waited for her to finish with the customer she was helping. Meanwhile, said man-child continued his conversation at full volume: "We're talking about YOUR divorce! You KNEW I was married when we got together!". And on and on. Nice. Very professional. Perfect place to discuss your unsavory, unscrupulous, MESSY life while you're on the company clock. The cashier finished with her customer, and I told her what I was looking for. She spoke with another employee via her headset, and they went to confirm what I already knew: not a drop of penicillin in stock, despite those two fictional bottles still shown in their inventory. "But they have some at the Bad Axe store!" she chirped. People three miles away likely felt my eye roll and heard my snort of derision/exasperation. I wouldn't have cared if an employee at the Bad Axe store IG'd themselves tap dancing in the aisle holding said penicillin; I was NOT driving an additional 300+ miles round trip on the say-so of a TSC employee from that store. So... an afternoon wasted, 112 miles of fuel burned with diesel at $5.36 a gallon, and absolutely nothing to show for it other than complete contempt for this store and every employee in it at the time of my visit. Consider this a cautionary tale for anyone hoping to get decent HONEST service from this store: they are clearly firmly entrenched in DGAF mode, and your needs as a customer come dead last. Go ANYWHERE else.
