Chicks run around $5 a piece and are female-- comparable to prices online but without the exorbitant shipping costs that online hatcheries charge you (and you don't run the risk of any of your chicks passing away in the mail). What got our attention was, Rios Ranch came out and donated hay to feed the horses. These guys came out in a timely manner. We actually helped in the stacking process since multiple locations were used to store the hay. The husband Artemio actually came out to deliver and hand stack the hay himself. Their prices are extremely reasonable and I found out, the owner Jeni is planning on growing organic peppers, sweet and the kind that will hurt you. I will start using them in the future for hay purchases. Highly recommended you try these wonderful people for your hay needs. I'm in the process of ordering from Jenny again. This is another if many orders I have placed with them. They always come through with a very superior product! This order was supposed to be delivered in a couple of weeks, but a situation came up and they were able to, in very short notice, make a delivery with a days notice. This worked out great since the balance of the order will be made in a couple of weeks, and we can work on making room for the rest of the order. Wonderful people to be getting hay from. He received all the help he needed, but my experience was completely different. The moment I picked up an item in the camping aisle and handed it to my husband, who was carrying the basket, I noticed employees watching me. One employee kept their eyes on me for over 10 minutes. It got to the point where I had to make eye contact and stare back because I felt so uneasy. As a brown Asian customer shopping with my Caucasian husband, I couldn't help but feel like I was being singled out. The employees were constantly talking on their radios while watching me. They may have thought they were being subtle, but it was obvious. Whether intentional or not, I was left feeling as though I was being treated like I was stealing, and it completely ruined my shopping experience. No customer should leave a store feeling singled out or uncomfortable. This happened roughly 2-3 weeks ago, and I haven't been back since. Even though the store is only about a minute from my house, I refuse to shop there again. There are plenty of other places that know how to treat customers with respect.

We normally buy the no mess blend from Moana Lane Nursery but at $59 for 20 pounds it hard to swallow. On a whim today we stopped here and took a look around. The very helpful gal at the counter pointed out the extensive selection of seed and yes they had a no mess 20 pound blend with a wide verity of seed in it. But how much is it? It is only $33, that's it. We will definitely be back and highly recommend stopping in.

It is a good way to try things or take care of your pets without buying everything in large packages. For example, if you are going to make a rare trip to chickadee ridge and need some bird seeds, you can use the bulk bin to get the amount you need for the hike. They have black oil sunflower seed in the bin too. This store carries organic chicken feed and also in a corn free soy free formula. They also sell poultry bedding which I didnt notice at another store. It contains de and zeolite already mixed in there. They sell stuff for horses and dogs too.

We came on a Saturday morning and they were quite busy! It looks like they take of all types of animals from the farm to domestic, so this was one of the more unique pet store experiences. The dog food selection was limited compared to what we have back home, so we weren't able to get the exact same food we usually feed the dogs, but they had Taste of the Wild which was a brand we used to feed the dogs. Pricing was on par with what you'd pay at the bigger stores but the customer service here is what sets it apart from most pet stores. You can tell they love what they do! Parking was super easy, as they had multiple spots in front of the store. Definitely would be my go-to pet store if I lived in the area.
