I was debating between 2-3 stars. 3 Stars says "OK"- was it okay? Mmm not really...so 2 "Coulda been better" fits. And I will try to come back and try to change it but right now, as it stands, coulda be better. This is one the businesses you just kinda drive past without taking any notice. But one day we needed some work wear quick and all the other stores that supplies that type of clothing was closed, except Tractor Supply. So we pulled up, excited to find a new place and get some work clothes. There was no staff to be seen anywhere to help us. The clothes were unorganized and random items everywhere. My bf went up to the guy at the register who was on his phone and asked him if there was someone who could help us and he said something like, oh the girl that works that department will be back soon. So we waited 10 minutes. And waited another 10. She never came. BF went back to the guy at the register, to see if he can get anyone else or what. The girl came then, looking pretty irritated and answered my BF questions curtly and left to back to stocking the back or whatever she had said. We HAD to get something, so we picked through whatever we could find, paid big $$$ for these work clothes, and left. I thought this would be such a cool store- I wanted to see the baby chickens, and browse the shelves, and get some gear but it wasn't a good experience here. I hope they all feel better since everyone working here seemed to be in such a bad mood. read more

Just bought 6 horse stall mats!! Ordered online and my order was ready within 30mins! Two lovely young ladies helped load all 6 mats onto my truck. One drove the forklift and both loaded the mats on their own, I offered to help but they were very independent and I was likely in their way lol. Keep in mind I have a lifted F250, wasn't an easy task for guys but these ladies were very helpful. I give both Lanie and Jojo 5 stars, definitely a repeat customer! read more

I went to Tractor Supply to get my RV Propane tank refilled. I confirmed our their website and by phone that they did them. I checked with cashier to get filled. The young lady she called to fill them proceeded to tell me that they only filled tanks less than two years old. I showed her the Tractor Supply website saying 12 years for US and 10 for Canada. She shrugged her shoulders and said that is how she was trained. Then I asked her to check with her Manager. She came back and said 10 years(the Canada Time frame). She neither cared about me or the thousands of dollars I have purchased from Tractor Supply. She should be retrained or let go. read more

I placed an order with them to pick up, it showed in stock only at that store and it was to be available next day. I drove from Sacramento specifically for these items only to be informed that they don't have anything and asked if I have the right store. Granted, I should have checked for the email notifying me to pick up the items. I had scheduled other errands that morning in Woodland ONLY because I had to get my items from this place and gas is expensive. I had no other reason to go to Woodland from Sac, but they were the closest store for me. While in the store I looked it up and the store had cancelled the order! First, they confirmed an order, but no longer had the item in stock. Second, when they cancel an order, the/ don't notify the customer that it was cancelled. Wasted time and gas. Never again. No consistency . Holes on the shelves . No product reordering . 20 percent higher mark up than competitors . Price tages and sighnage lacking throughout the store . Lack of cashier training . Inconsistency at the register . When I pointed out that there were many products on the sales floor without prices , I was met with indifference and indignation . This included the manager and a sales associate that made an aggressive move into my personal space . I guess my comments hurt there feelings . Was double and triple charged at the register requiring a 100 dollar refund . She , the manager , was defencive and concerned about what I was say on the customer survey . That all said and coming from a retail managment background , I can tell you that these problems come from corporate not putting enough staff in the store and not training managment on how to train sales staff . Probably don't pay a fair wage . I see apathy . And apathy breeds apathy . Very disappointed . read more

That being said, the Woodland location was slightly disorganized; 1)pullets not labeled for breed, etc., 2) shelves in disarray with not-matching parts. On a positive, the Bat Roosts were 30% cheaper than ordering online. I love Tractor Supply. It reminds me of the co-op I went to as a kid. If they had fresh milled grain smell in the air, I'd have flashbacks. Warning Long Annoyed Review. Awful service due to lack of knowledge and misinformation of staff. Purchased a air compressor in April. Purchased 1 yr. extended warranty. From the beginning, everyone involved in my purchase (assistant manager and cashier whom rung me up) were lacking in knowledge about the compressor and it's warranty. They put in some random address and information instead of taking the time to put mine (you can just change it on the website yourself was what they told me) Got my compressor set up-- everything was fine, fast forward 2 months :compressor starts acting up, shutting off. Call in to the store-- person on the phone tells me that if I purchased the extended warranty that I needed to call the number on my receipt. I do. They tell me that I need to call manufacture, extended warranty isn't until the 1 yr. manufacture warranty ends. Ok, call manufacture. They send out a mechanic-- it's got a bad motor. I've been without air now in my shop 1week. It could be up to two weeks before they can get new motor and appointment to get out to us. Decided to call the store again and ask if we could swap it out for another. Assistant manger called and found 1 in Dixon since the one we bought was the only one they had. If we return it, he could re-charge us and we could drive to Dixon and pick it up. Super inconvenient but better than going another week or two without air. We load it up, bring it in, return it and decided, to avoid having to drive an extra distance we wanted to upgrade and get a bigger more costly compressor that they had in stock. This is where it gets annoying. The AST. Manger rolls his eyes and gets kinda frustrated like "well, that's a whole different deal!" When we inquired about it. Seriously I'm trying to spend more money and your getting an attitude. Strike 1 dude. I pull my truck around so he can take it off the truck before doing the refund. Understandable. He had checked to see if they had one "in the box" instead of the floor model. There was none so my husband checked out the floor model closely. All the tabs/plugs to indicate they it was new we're missing along with the instructions the oil that comes with it. It also had Teflon tape like someone had used it. There is also a big dent on the side. My husband calls and lets me know, I let dude know he's not feeling it due to it not being new ." oh it was new from the box it came like that. I pulled it myself, recently. They all come with Teflon tape from the manufacturer." Strike #2 dude -- paper on the on the pallet says different (4/17) as well as the thick layer of dust that's it's been sitting for a while. And the Teflon comes after a fitting has been put in the connection, which indicates it's been used. When husband asked about the oil he said that it comes with oil in it from manufacturer which also isn't true. Our original purchase came with oil that the instructions said to add oil as well as Teflon tape. He suggested that we use the old oil from the returned compressor for the new one. That don't sound right. Funny and not important but he also claimed he put it in at a sideways angle (trying to justify that it was 100% new when it clearly wasn't) when he unloaded it, but my husband was the one who pulled it out and turned it that way to look at it when it was sitting with the motor up against the wall. I wait in the loading area, 15 minutes later my husband calls saying he's trying to keep his extended warranty of $140 because we called and had a service team come out (meaning we used our warranty) and returned it. Nope, strike 3 dude. When asked how's that fair because that was thru manufacture not the extended warranty company, he said "well you returned it and that means it's done." Ugggggghhh no, can't we just roll it over to the new compressor or something? He then made a call to the Dixon to see if they had a new out of the box compressor and about extended warranty return from another Manager. They did have a new one out of the box (long behold : tabs that require you to remove before usage, instructions which require Teflon tape before inserting fitting & 2 Qrts. of oil to be added to machine before using.(because why would a manufacturer want you moving this $2000 piece of machinery around full of fluids during transport and screw it up) And of course it turns out : I can get a refund for my extended warranty, I didn't get to use it! In the end he apologized but I'm so annoyed and irritated at how difficult this was when it should have been simple. How it seemed to become a bigger headache than need be. Bottom line they need to train their employees & Assistant Mangers better on products they carry and warranty's of these items and the extended warranty's of these items they push & sale. If I, your customer has a question you should have an answer or find someone who does if you don't, before opening your mouth and giving out misinformation. read more

I'm a long time fan of the cool farming equipment that Tractor Supply Co has to offer. I've been visiting them most of my life, as I used to live in the Woodland area. I recently came back to Woodland and found that the location had moved to the center of town and had a completely new look inside. They still offer live chicks, bunnies and ducks during the end part of March and most of April. I had a lot of fun visiting the store every year to see the baby chicks. If you like the smell of a farm without having to hose down afterward, this is the place to visit. Or if you are in need of super magnets for cow stomachs, they sell them here. read more

This place is pretty awesome. The staff is super nice and very helpful. I came here to buy a dog kennel - not only were they significantly less expensive than other local retailers but they sell the kennels in kits as well as individul pieces so you can make the kennel bigger without having to buy a whole second kit. They also helped load it into the truck. :) In addition to the kennel they seem to have a little bit of everything - from clothing to lawn & garden decorations, power tools, trailers, feed, generators, welders, etc. And their prices are very competitive. read more

SUPERB customer service. I shop at TSC a lot in my local area of Fresno. I wish my Clovis store had the type of employees that work at the Woodland store. Today I was in an emergency trying to find medicated feed for my goats. The Woodland location had to feed and my local store did not. I drove 3 1/2 hours to get there, got stuck in traffic, and called the store to see if there was anything they could do. It was moments before 8 PM, closing hour. The manager and team stayed an extra 30 minutes until I arrived so that I could get the products I came all the way for. I don't know of any other business that would do this for their customers. Hats off to TSC woodland and many thanks to the corporate TSC for seeking and training such excellent and dedicated employees. These people truly understand the value and meaning of customer service. Quick and efficient place to pick up stuff for the business. They are small and won't have everything every time but mostly a quick visit does the trick. And besides where else can you pick up farm supplies, ranch fixings , feed, clothes and toys for the kids all in one visit only draw back is the prices are sometimes higher than a traditional parts supply.
