After much research at car dealerships and online searching, I found exactly what I was looking for at Tracy Honda, a 2011 Honda Accord Ex-L. My husband and I arrived on an early Saturday morning, and lucky for us we bumped into Chad Watts. My first impression of him was the same as my last impression, he was there to help me find the car I wanted. He is not a high pressure salesman. He was very relaxed and did not talk down to us. There were more expensive cars that we could have left with, but he stayed within my budget. Again, no pressure to change my mind. He took care of all the paper work and we never had to go back and forth with the manager. After the paperwork, we went to the business manager Todd Suender's office. Again, he treated us like friends and did not talk down to us. He worked out an excellent service contract for us. As you know with most automotive issues, they SELDOM show up when taken to the shop for repair. It took years to prove there was a problem with my transmission and less than a month to finally identify factory problems with my 2005 Civic Hybrid. My transmission began slipping after the first 2k miles of new ownership. Every darn time I took it in for service the staff would drive and it would not recreate the issue for them. Finally after 3+ years of complaints I made a decision to give the car to my son for use at college. In order to ensure his safety I also made the decision; either Honda will fix it or take the car back. After making that decision to my good fortune Tracy Honda hired a NEW Service Manager. He asked me to drive the car with him in the passenger seat which made all the difference in the world. As we were driving I explained the typical driving situations and regularity of the issue. Thank Goodness! Finally the car demonstrated as it did normally for me (poorly) and the transmission was soon repaired. This was one of the few other issues that were recently corrected as well. The other issues went back to the factory forgetting to install nuts on a rear shock or tighten nuts on the hybrid battery tray. All in all I really have to express my deep appreciation for Brian Keagan. He listened, had patience and a systematic approach to the issues and in the end he was the puzzle piece that solved the issues that had plagued my vehicle for way too long. He worked one of the most complicated situations I was stuck in and smoothed it out while making all parties happy! He delt with me: the nervous wreck of a first time car buyer, My mother in law, the strong willed German woman who will not and did not take no for an answer (to my benifit and not his) and last but not least the Aunt I was in the sticky situation with and who didnt have time to stop and chat just to sign and run. Test drove a new 2016 Honda Civic EX yesterday and fell in love. Looked around for similar car models in other brands around the area but as a current Honda owner, I knew the quality that comes with it and knew I definitely wanted either an Accord or Civic with a moonroof. Not much to choose from with our price range, maybe just 4 or 5 in low $20s at Tracy. However when we went to Tracy to look for our new car, the salesman couldn't offer us less than 8%APR on a financed deal. He didn't offer any rebates either and said that they weren't offering any promotions or 0.9%. My husband has prefect credit while mine is pretty low but I have a yearly $120,000 income. The salesman made me feel like I didn't deserve a good offer because of my score. It seemed like he didn't do the offer right because when we went to Elk Grove and Stockton Honda they made us 0.9% and 1.9%APR offers and had TONS more inventory to look at and choose from. read more

It was Sunday night, my car was on the fritz, I'd taken it to the Chevy dealer and it was going to cost $1600 to fix. So I was ripe for a new car. I'd been to most of the dealers in the area at one time or another, including Honda. We pretty much settled on a used Toyota Camry and were ready to deal. My wife suggested we go check out Honda. I agreed (reluctantly, as I do with most of my wifes suggestions). I'd been researching Hybrids for over 5 years, and fuel economy was very important to me. My commute is nearly 50 miles one way, every day. It was around 6:30pm, Sunday night, the dealer was closed. The salesman, Herb was locking up. I love my Honda, but word of warning, DO NOT get your car serviced here. You will waste your time and money. The customer service here is less than acceptable. The service provided is like they just want to get their services done as quick as possible without putting the time with the customer. We have an extended warranty with the car and were still charged for an inspection. We were never charged this fee at other dealerships. In addition, after waiting over 5 hours for our car, we still did not get a car wash which was promised. It was a long day of waiting and Bad service all the way around. My experience with Tracy Honda was less than I hoped for. I was actually selling my vehicle through True car and this dealership was working with them to appraise the vehicle. I provided all relevant information beforehand and was quoted 24,625 for my trade in (slightly below what I owed) and I was willing to trade it in for this amount. James from Tracy Honda reached out expressing how interested they were in my vehicle. When I went there he sent someone out to appraise the vehicle and I was quoted over 3,000 less than what True car quoted me. And while it was a similar offer to other dealerships, I had specifically come to them because of the True car quote. When I sent an email to James to let him know I was less than impressed to have driven all the way to Tracy for such a low ball quote, he just blamed True car. He tried to state it was True cars fault, and their offer, but it was their dealership assessing the condition of the vehicle and reporting it to True car. Basically, True car lures you in with a good price and the dealership hopes to get the trade in and sell you a new car. But I had already purchased my new car so there was nothing in it for them, which I believe caused them to make no effort to "make the customer happy." I ended up working with driveway.com who quoted closer to 25k and actually followed through with paying the amount they quoted in the first place, even after inspection of the vehicle. read more
