I bought a Boxer Tractor from the manufacturer about 10 years ago at a heavy discount for product endorsement of my HGTV show Superscapes and although the show is long gone and over, my Boxer keeps kicking because Wade is the Nor Cal dealer and service center for these tractors and he has gone Wayyyyyd out of his way to personally come get my tractor from the East Bay and haul it out to his shop for TLC over the years. My recommendation to you is to "get it in writing " when you bring equipment in for servicing. I brought my Scag in for blade replacement, replacement of the drive belt. I mentioned that I wished to buy an air filter and an oil filter. The young man said, " How about we change the oil." Sure, I replied. When I called to inquire if it was complete I was told that the mechanic was going to call me back to "discuss the price." Uh oh... A few hours later he called to tell me that he couldn't "sharpen" the blades and he had to replace them. I told him that was what I requested anyway. (The reason I brought it in as they've sold me the wrong blades in the past) So, you see what I requested...and here's what they did.. Oil change Air filter replacement Fuel filter replacement Spark plug replacement Hydraulic fluid and filter change Replaced blades Replaced belt Oh, the 90 minutes labor ended up being 2.5 hours I paid the bill, said nothing and left with a taillight that was crushed when your employee hit it loading the trailer. I've no complaints with my mower or the work completed. But Wade, I'm done with you. read more

Tracy power equipment is a complete waste of time very unprofessional they quote me a price of $40 to diagnose and I tell them if it's gonna be $50 or more call me because it's an old mower not worth much they wind up charging me over 100 bucks by the time one carburetor jet was cleaned an air filter and spark plug which I put in myself and he tried to sell me another filter over the phone I told him I put it in last week and when I was there I heard another person having a problem with their quotes on repairs should've been my cue to back out do not go there I was trying to keep business in town but this is what you get unprofessional read more

If I could give no stars I'd give no stars. showed up 15 minutes before closing and as the guy saw me pulling up he quickly closed the door and said they were closed . Almost closed the door in my face . I told the guy it's not 5pm yet and he Rudley opened and said "what do you want" and I said propane and he just said "no" and closed the door again . This place has the worse services here, I drop my lawn mower that cost me more than $800.00, a spring broke down from the bottom, when I drop the mower for a warranty, just by seen the spring in my hand they said that is not cover for the warranty. I left it there to see if Honda cover the repair, two weeks and no call back, I decide to call the and they said you are the next in the list, by 12:00pm next day I drove to the shop and they wasn't even check the mower, that day around 3:00 the mechanic guy call and tells me that the cost around $250.00 to get it fix, they not even call HONDA to see if is under warranty, two more weeks and no one calls, today I decide to pick up the mower. I'd been looking for a specific generator online and at chain stores in Livermore for a few weeks and the time that I would actually need it was quickly approaching. I happened to be at Roger's Camping Trailers and asked if they knew where I could get one nearby. I was told Tracy Power Equipment was just down the street and around the corner and they would have it. And, they sure did. Jose, the young man that waited on me, was very patient with me. He actually put oil and gas in the generator, showed me where they were to be poured in, he showed me how to start it and let the generator run for a few minutes. The price I paid was actually a few dollars less than I would have paid on Amazon and at the chain stores. Had I purchased the generator at any of the other places that had it, I would have no idea how to operate it or where the oil and gas went--without reading the manual, because those other places don't offer that level of customer service. Went in with my dad for a new lawn mower, prices were higher then we wanted to spend but if it was worth it I would have bought it. But the three workers there had nothing to say to us, not a hello or goodbye either!!! Guess we weren't worth their time??? read more

We want to thank the Team at Tracy Power Equipment. Our 9 year old Cub Cadet was "dead on arrival" when we took it to mechanic George. He did a great job of finding the hard to find failed part, replaced the inoperable parking brake system, provided a complete service, and returned the product better than when we dropped it off. Don't let these people take your equipment without getting everything in writing and exact quote! I asked them to take our 66" Swisher Mower for an estimate only and to get back to me with a price. He took it from our Alameda location, and after several weeks finally got back to us with a price of between $2,500 and $3,000!! I told him to bring it back, and now they say that I owe them for repairs that they made THAT I DID NOT AUTHORIZE. Trust me, this is going to be in small claims court. My advice is to avoid this type of operation. read more

This is the first time we have ever had the pleasure of doing business with Tracy Power Equipment and wow what a fantastic experience! We have a John Deere riding mower that has been serviced by Mid Cal Tractor since it was purchased new. We especially appreciated the Mobil service cause after scheduling a appt they came to you and serviced the mower from the mobil workshop plus all the mechanics and Mark the guy who use to oversee the service dept were great and really did a good job. Than Belkorp bought Mid Cal out and the problems began...Don't get me started! The final straw was when I called to schedule a service appt on our mower was informed Belkorp no longer does mobil service but will work on your mower, you just have to haul it in. After all the past problems and now this we're done. Found Tracy Power Equipment after a google search, called and spoke to Wade the owner he came over with his trailer and hauled the thing back to his shop, serviced it and just now returned it back to us running like it did when it was new! It even looks cleaner! Wade and his team did a really fantastic job and we'er so glad we found them...and local too! read more
