My family and friends love Samosas. I read some reviews saying that this place had the BEST Samosas. I decided to order 20 of them since I was heading to a meeting after my dentist appointment (which was next door to this place). Everyone at the meetings said this is the best they've had in a while. It is a tiny bit too spicy for me but nothing a little bit of the tamarind chutney couldn't tame. That, too, was very good. The texture was great, it was really really filling and very flavorful. Nothing compares to samosas in India but this is very close. One thing though, if they could make mini ones, like half the size (in India I had some smaller ones and one place in Fremont has them), that would be great. We end up halving the bigger ones for those who eat small portions. read more

We were hungry for food while driving in Tracy and found this place. It's a grocery store with a kitchen in it's back. Items are well stacked and they had separate area for sweets. The menu changes everyday with different types of lentil curries and vegetarian curries to choose from. They do offer rice and roti. Everything is alacarte and also by the size. Price is very nominal and they do accept credit cards. Food is for togo only. So, we ate in our car. The food tasted amazing and delicious. It would feel like typical home food without the extra stuff or enhancers they would add in a restaurant or dhaba. I also did some grocery purchase and found that this place is selling Jamun fruit from India. I can't find it elsewhere in Bay area. So, I grabbed it. There is plenty of parking in the lot shared with other businesses. If you are passing by or staying in Tracy, this place is a must in your list. read more

The original plan was to visit the Filipino store next door after a dentist appointment so I can buy some sweet spaghetti sauce, but they didn't have their grocery set up and it was just hot foods available so I left. When I went back to my car I saw the sign for this sweets and snacks shop and I jumped back out to enter into this lovely, humble Indian grocery store. I have been craving samosas for a while and since I was in the area, I had some for lunch. The sweets are by the cashier to the left of the entrance and I can't help but buy a pound of gulab jamun for dessert and then some for later. The samosas were located in the back and the lady there asked how many I wanted, she hooked it up with some hot and crispy so yummy potato samosas for $1ea. The chutney was sold separately, which was cool because I love mint chutney and not the tamarind so much so I usually ask for just mint and extra of it when I order samosas. This time I just bought the jar to keep at home. I have since bought samosas and gulab jamun elsewhere and have noticed that this place has set the bar for these Indian goodies for me bc I seem to compare it back to the ones I got from here. Their gulab jamun is good! I still think about how yummy and pleasing it was to have as a treat. This place is quite the gem. I will be back again. read more

Decided to give it a try after reading some good reviews on Yelp . It is a typical Grocery store on the outside , clean and has all the basic stuff. Very friendly owners . I had ordered a to go order of Chicken Pakoda and Chicken Tikka Masala just to give it a try. I did not have huge expectations as pretty much all indian places in Tracy are pretty average and I have to usually go to the Dublin area for good Indian food.I was pleasantly surprised by what I got . The chicken pakoda was perfectly seasoned and cooked . Very light and airy and chicken prefectly cooked . The chicken tikka masala was the best I have eaten in a along time . It actually had a good flavour without any cream . I could see that the chef knows what he is doing . I am planning to try out some other stuff on the Menu soon like the Tandoori Chicken and the Lamb Rogan . read more

Worst customer service! The older lady working in the store is so argumentative about every damn thing. If you buy something from her damn store she says you didn't buy it from here. We bought this coconut and went home cut it up and it was super dark on the inside so we called and asked her if we can exchange for a different one tomorrow she says okay. So we cone back the next day and she says we never bought it from her. I was like your kidding me right? She goes show me proof I was like heres your receipt and she goes nope not our store. She lied to my face. Her daughter is way nicer. The old owners are dearly missed. This lady is a damn joke. read more

I've been coming to this store for a while now, and every time they've got exactly what I'm looking for. It's the best Indian grocery store in Tracy for me and their customer service is great too . They even have a restaurant now so that just makes it even better, I have yet to try the food though but I'm betting it's going to be awesome! On my way to Yosemite we stopped for a quick lunch at the park with my kids. After a previous great experience we weren't disappointed. In fact we could have leftovers that evening by the camp fire. Prices are very reasonable and the amount of food is very generous. On our return trip through Tracy we picked up some more Tandoori Chicken and Choley with Naan. We all loved it! This place has great prices and the right selection of good quality products. They also serve dosas on Sundays which is a plus! We are a part of the many Indian families that live locally and stop here, about every two or three weeks, for anything from natural henna hair dye to roti flour.
