A good friend suggested I try an auto broker that he'd gone through several times for leases. He'd had a very positive experience and gotten excellent pricing. This led to a text introduction to Jonas with STROM. While he was already highly recommended by my friend for his ability to get great lease deals on German/European cars, he was just as capable when it came to purchasing a new Lexus (and getting me a discount!). At first, I had no idea how the broker process worked, but Jonas was extremely patient and quickly answered my multitude of questions over text. STROM doesn't charge you a fee for their service, instead, all fees are paid to them by the dealership. Now instead of spam calls from multiple sale-hungry dealerships (note I hadn't agreed to work with anyone specific at the dealerships yet, no conflicts of interest), I could work with just one person! The entire process became a whole lot simpler, and from the beginning I felt I could trust STROM. We handled all communications by text which made it super easy for me, and Jonas was always responsive. Jonas immediately found me several available models of the car; however, I decided I wanted a very specific color and features. Over the course of two months (I wasn't in a rush and the car was a unicorn) Jonas and I stayed in regular contact until finally the exact model was in stock. He was able to find it by searching inventory at dealerships outside of my geographic area (dealerships I would have considered too far to drive to), and accessing inventory that was not yet delivered or posted online. From start to finish, Jonas took point in coordinating everything. From finding the car, paying my deposit, the purchase/payment to the dealership, suggesting a great credit union for financing, and delivered directly to my home, I felt confidant that things were being handled smoothly throughout the entire process. The last thing to do was sell my current vehicle, which I chose to do on my own through a used car retailer.
