This was my first experience at any Trader Joe's ever, and it was a very positive one. At first glance, the store seemed small but once you start walking around you realize they have pretty much everything you need. I walked around grabbing things that looked yummy, especially in the frozen foods. I'm a busy college student and don't like to eat out that much so stocking up on frozen food that doesn't take long to prepare is a must. ((Also got the cookie butter that everyone goes crazy for, tried a spoonful when I got home and the hype is real - delicious!)) The staff is super friendly! The cashier was giving me tips on how to cook some of the foods and informed me there were NO PRESERVATIVES in any of the foods, awesome! I like that TJ is making healthy foods more affordable to the masses and will be doing more grocery shopping here in the future. read more

This was my first Trader Joe's experience and what a thrill it was. My girlfriend has been trying to get me off the Publix bandwagon. Unbeknownst to me after a long day on the beach we had stopped in the new location near her home to pick up groceries. I was amazed by selection and prices for such a compact store. I am a healthy eater, so normally when I go to Publix it is about a $150.00 and a 12 bag set back ( the baggers seem to waste every inch of space they can). This experience was a whole lot different! 100.00 in 4 bags and I was set for the whole week. I couldn't believe the difference in service. We had a full blown conversation with our clerk Patrica.... that has never happened to me at a store. The people are so friendly and they care about your experience. I was torn on should I give this place 3 or 4 stars, but it would not have been fair to give them 3 stars based on my expectations of me expecting the store to be larger. This was the first time I have been to a TJ so maybe other locations are larger. I will say the customer service was very friendly and helpful without asking. The store was very crowded, but the check out line were moving fast and all registers were open to meet the demand. I found a lot of unique specialty items which i could have gotten a basket full of. I will certainly be returning back to TJ in the future, but when i have need for something different or a unique item to Jazz up a dish and put a twist on it. read more

You used to be one of the most COVID safe stores, but now with the Delta variant EXPLODING in Florida you stopped requiring masks for employees?!? And knowing that vaccinated people can get breakthrough infections and spread it! I WAS SHOCKED! And worse, you don't allow any of the shopping delivery services! Their bread/bakery items are always expired or 2 days from expiration. Very annoying. Produce is priced decently. Some products have the same prices as Whole Foods--well I guess TJ is more if you're an Amazon member (10% discount off grocery). This store in particular has more frozen foods than anything else. My favorite grocery store, hands down. I was waiting for this store to open as soon as I saw the sign that it would be going in. I had been to the Pines location a few times, but it was too far to squeeze into my schedule regularly. When the Davie location opened, I was a little disappointed at the size but I've gotten over it. It has what I need and then some. I rely on this store for the majority of my grocery shopping at this point, and am here at least once a week. I love everything from the wine, to the produce, to the frozen foods. Not necessarily in that order.. ok, who am I kidding, in exactly that order! They have a great wine selection, and some good prices on bubbly too (at least for a non-connoisseur, like me - I just go with what tastes good)! I like that I always find something new and different to try there and at a great price! I'm never too worried if I don't see the price for something right away and I've never had sticker shock at the register like I usually do at most other grocery stores (I had to pretty much give up on Whole Foods for that reason). I had never been to a Trader Joe's before this location opened. My only impression of organic food markets was from whole foods which is great, but quite pricey. On the other hand, Trader Joe's is a very affordable option with a unique selection of organic food products. The staff is very nice and makes you feel right at home. I come here particularly for their high-quality dairy, (cheap) produce, and frozen foods. They also have a delicious selection of chocolates by the registers. I've been a fan of Trader Joe's for years, having gone to several in Massachusetts where my family shops almost exclusively. I am so glad they have a location in Davie now so I can avoid the trek all the way to Pines. The staff at this location is superb, they're all super friendly and helpful, and always make sure to throw in a joke or two, which adds a nice touch. I've only ever had out-of-stock problems with one item (freeze dried mangoes- I'm obsessed, and apparently so are many others haha). I enjoy the ciabatta bread as well as the yogurts and salads and they have the best canned tuna for a great price too. The flowers are beautiful and cheap but don't last very long. I have watched them grow in Florida (first in Tampa, and then Miami, then Pines, & now here in Davie), and I'm so glad to have some of my favorite things more readily available- my grandmother used to mail me the mangoes :P. read more

I knew they were building a Trader Joe's here, but I didn't realize it had opened until this past weekend. I literally asked the cashier when they had opened and he said Oct 9th! What. I think I went to the Trader Joe's in Pembroke Pines a month ago so I drove that extra 15 min for something in my backyard. Sure, it's off of University and already in a congested area, but I'm still excited to have a Trader Joe's close by. I think it's bigger than the one in Pembroke Pines. Frozen mac n cheese, snack pack almonds, spinach and chive linguine, cheap wines, ginger cookies, etc are now so readily accessible. I know everyone has different favorites, but there are just some things that I just love getting from Trader Joe's because of the price and quality. Also, I used to shop at Trader Joe's all the time on the West Coast, and being inside this store makes me feel a little more at home. Overall, the store is very clean, the aisles are wide, and all the employees there are happy to help. I'm looking forward to getting my groceries here on a regular basis. read more

I like this Trader Joe's a lot, but it's in a very busy area. Like every Trader Joe's it has the quality food and products, but be warned that this store is near a major road (and a highway on ramp) and close to 3 colleges so the traffic can get pretty hectic in the parking lot especially. read more

I can only go to Trader Joe's when I'm in the mainland. It sucks that Hawaii doesn't have one just yet! The first time I've been to Trader Joe's was when I went to California. The vibe of this Trader Joe's is very weird, it seemed a little too full to be accurately taking Covid safe precautions and the staff was off to me. I understand they're busy and have a lot to do but you shouldn't be squeezing through aisles and almost touching me walking by during Covid times. What annoyed me most was when I was checking out, I patiently waited in line on the red tape (enforced for Covid safety spacing) and another woman skipped me and went straight up to the cashier, looked at me, and ignored me. The cashier (a middle aged man with white hair) also saw me and ignored me and let the woman proceed. It appeared to me that they recognized each other, so I'm guessing she just had favoritism. Her cart was full too and I ended up waiting there an additional 10 minutes although I had been next in line. I didn't say anything because I'm not impatient and it's not a big deal, I probably would have let her go ahead if she just asked. It was just weird and unfair. It was my least favorite experience I've had at a Trader Joe's. Probably won't come back to this one. read more

My husband and I are currently evacuated from St Thomas USVI. Trader Joes has always been one of my favorite stateside stores, so when I saw that there was one 15 minutes away, it brighten my day! They gave us wonderful customer service and especially very thoughtful and completely unexpected discount that was given to us when a few of the team members overheard our situation. Rhonda and I had started chatting and found out about our being evacuated due to loosing our home and my job. Somehow she managed to tell her manager (?), Mat, before we checked out. So at the point of check out I was brought to tears when he let us know he was going to help us out during this time. I will never forget this kind gesture! Trader Joe's is awesome! They have great prices and their customer service is top notch. This will more than likely be where I will be getting my groceries since the only other place I'd go to would be Whole Foods or ALDI. I like that they have a little bit of everything for every type of eater. I haven't tried very much of their food yet but today I bought their spicy hummus, pita bread and a six pack of local south Florida beer. I am writing this review as I walk out of Trader Joe's because of the experience I just had. I just got off work it's Christmas Eve and I was going to buy flowers for my mom, as I got up to the register I noticed that my debit card was missing so I asked if they took Apple Pay.. the very friendly cashier GiGi said yes and I proceeded to process my payment. For whatever reason it was declined. I asked GiGi if I could step to the side to figure it out she very politely told me I could and she took another customer. As soon as she finished his transaction she took my flowers and said she would be right back. In the mean time i logged on to my account and noticed someone had charged my card down to zero. A few minutes later she handed the flowers back to me and said they were on the house. Small gestures like this restore my faith in humanity. I shop here weekly and have no complaints. Some of the staples I always pick up are frozen chicken, lettuce, eggs, wraps, beer and cheese.

We just got back from there. I'm handicapped & wearing a back brace & knee braces. I had 3 items in my hand and all the lines were so long. I saw what I think was a Manager because he was wearing an Apron. Male around 35. I ask him if he has any speed checkout registers. And said " no" I asked if he was opening & he said "yes" as he looks at me holding my 3 items. Then he says " but I have to take the next person in one of these lines". Next thing I know a crazy lady with a basket filled to the top pushes right past me to his lane! I was in utter shock. Not only because the customer was so rude she saw I had 3 items & she must of had 75 items. She didn't offer to let me go before her but the thing that bugs me the most is that this manager didn't even have the decent courtesy to take me first with my 3 items. Clearly Trader Joe's only cares about the bottom line & how much $ they make over handicapped old ladies. Shame on the customer but shame on that Manager who wouldn't even make eye contact with me or say he was sorry with something like " it's company policy" I will continue to shop at Lucky's where I'm treated with respect! read more

Finally a Trader Joes close to home in Broward! I stopped by with my mom and it was pretty packed (but nowhere as bad as the ones in NY). They carry the same stuff and staff is super friendly.
