Yesterday was the first day that I had visited my local Trader Joe's since the shelter in place. I was definitely reminded of why I love that so much. Besides all of the wonderful items that they have, the one thing that holds true is the great team members that are always present. They are some of the most helpful, kind, enthusiastic and knowledgeable team members that you will find at a grocery store. Yesterday I happened to have an encounter with Shelley. We had an opportunity to bond over discussing a song that we both loved from the 80s era. I later realized that I needed to make a take out order and did not have enough battery life on my phone. Shelley made the call for me and I was able to place my order. I so appreciated her going out of her way to assist me with my personal need! She even blessed me with some of the store's beautiful gerber daisys that they regularly keep in stock. She definitely made me feel like Trader Joes "family". Again, this is just an example of one of many wonderful shopping experiences that I have had at my Local Trader Joe's. I was just in line to checkout in Brenda's line. When it was my turn she asked how I was doing. I simply replied "hungry". She immediately said "would you like something to tied you over" and gave me a lollipop. I immediately opened it and put it in my mouth. That small act could have saved my life and she seemed to intuitively know how to help. I got goosebumps at that helpful gesture because it helped me out so much. Diamond in the rough! Was pleasantly surprised at safety measures this Trader Joe's was taking when I stopped by for the first time; COVID safety measures ~ without compromising any of the amazing & delicious food or outstanding & personable customer service I appreciate about Trader Joe's! In fact, this is a smaller store, but they are packed with the best selections; at surprisingly great prices! And though the store was at max covid people capacity and there were lines; the associates were quick, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and treated each person as if they were the most important person in the store! Just got home from a quick shopping trip to Trader Joe's to use a $100 gift card I received. I was happy to see masks being worn & everybody complying with social distancing standards. Thank you, Trader Joe's in Fairfield, for enforcing proper mask wearing and social distancing. I love shopping at TJ's, and I get so anxious because of the narrow aisles. But the TJ employees put me at ease-- enforcing social distancing in the line outside, sanitizing the carts, and doing headcounts to keep the inside less congested. There's still room for improvement--the employees often get too close to you when they are stocking the shelves (I get it, though, they're just trying to do their jobs), and sometimes they let a few too many folks in and it's harder to navigate the store safely. But I appreciate being able to get my TJs goodies every week with minimal stress. Seriously, those fig bites are getting me through the pandemic. read more

I just came here after work to buy groceries at night, I was profiled,discriminated,harassed and followed around by the guy that's cleaning the floors with the machine the whole time I was shopping .He kept passing by right next to me no 6 ft as well would come from behind telling me" I'm on to you", I'm following you and then before leaving when I paid the cashier and was exiting I heard him ask " did you check the bags!?" As if am some thief. Because I forgot that we're not supposed to bring personal bags, which is my fault I understood prior to check as she asked if needed bags to purchase and I declined as she informed me we couldn't use personal, I apologize to the girl at the checkout which was polite. First and last, I don't appreciate it I will not come back and spend my money and made trip here I drove a long way because this is the nearest second is Napa Valley (my go to )which treats people with respect and humans cant compare. I dont even get treated like that at whole foods in napa which certainly speaks volume. Employees here need to know how to treat people and not judge based on appearance except the young lady cashier which treated me like a person and provided excellent customer service.! What do I think is wrong with Trader Joe's Fairfield? Train their employees to show respect for their customers! I'm STILL deeply traumatize by how I was treated a week ago & an apology from the captain doesn't help much, for the damage is badly done! If there's a problem, an employee should NEVER disrespect, ridicule, mortify, be rude nor putting a regular customer of 7+ years on the spot in front of whole store like I've done something wrong, over 4 returns?! How petty can an employee be (and he knows who he is *cough*PAT*cough*)?! I still want an apology for disrespecting me like he did, especially if one of his co-workers was trying to have my back by stopping his blantant, rude behavior, treating me like I was a criminal, but ignorned his own co-worker & continued to grill me, I'm surprise he still has a job (if he can pull that on me, he'll do it to another customer!)! For me to call the corporate office to make a complaint, only to speak to the captain of the store speaks volumes, and sadly enough, I love Trader Joe's Fairfield, I love the employees, I love the connections that I've created with them, however, I REFUSE to be treated like garbage, regardless of their rules, regs, policies, etc., there are way better ways to talk to a customer in a professional, but kinder, gentle & respectful manner, so yeah, certain employees needs better training (or one better, suspended or fired!) & I shouldn't have to walk out of the store, leaving everything behind, including my returns (which I never gotten credit for), because I was treated unfairly, nor possibly having to drive across the bridge to go to another Trader Joe's to avoid being disrespected, for this situation has triggered me badly. Losing my love for Trader Joe's. The vegetables have never been high quality. Today they had zero soy coffee creamer. Their high fiber cereal was out of stock. The Earl Grey Tea has been changed to organic, which should be better, but it tastes like bitter green tea. Italian salad is no longer available. I'm disappointed. Wow, people out here in Far-A-Field, Solongo County, I mean Fairfield, Solano County love their TJ's, don't they? Who can blame them? After shopping at the BX (Base Exchange) commissary, or picking over FoodMaxx or the Mexican Meat Market on North Texas, TJ's is a great change of pace! It gives you unique, great items without pinching your retired military pay budget! This TJ's is rather unique and off template. Most TJ's are stand alone rectangular, brick sided buildings with a certain square footage and measurements to a certain formula. This one isn't quite like that, and only has 5 check out stands. People are real friendly and efficient, though! (It's that military discipline! But they won't salute you at the check-out stand, well maybe if you're in uniform with "scrambled eggs" on your hat's visor!) This one, however, is in the middle of a strip mall, with glass windows, narrow front, and deep length. It makes the set up a little different, but they have most of the basic TJ's items you've come to know and love. However, being near Travis AFB, and it's military families and retired military, it is a little different. No, they don't stock K-Rations on the shelves, but they do have plenty of ready-to-eat meals, albeit not in olive plastic pouches. Unlike many Bay Area TJ's, the free coffee in the back only offers Half and Half as a creamer. No 2%, no Skim, no Soy. Actually, I'm surprised they don't have the old trick of egg shells boiling with the coffee grounds to attract them away from the drinkable coffee in a metal canteen cup. They do have 3 layer Hummus though, $3.49, just like all the other TJ's. read more

I'm a big fan of Trader Joe's. So I was excited when my co-worker Donna said she was going there at lunch. I decided to make the run with her. I lucked out! In the fresh food refrigerated section I found the Mushroom Tortelloni with Asparagus. Just under a pound of fresh Tortelloni with a mushroom sauce, fresh spinich and asparagus. It ended up in the fridge for 3 days, but no worries, it was so yummy. I took off the paper sleeve, popped it directly into the microwave for three minutes and then let it sit a minute before opening. I split it in half and shared it, and it was great! I will always love this store, no matter where it is located! I swear my mom and my auntie have been taking me here since I was just a lil tyke, LMAO! I wouldn't say i'm a big health nut but I do love my fair share of healthy foods, especially since I have been working on loosing this extra weight! So mommsie and I stopped in for our lunch break so that we can find some good snacks! Well she finally replenished my string cheese, lol, I found some organic carrot sticks to go with my lo-fat veggie dip that has been at work forever, lol! We also got a greek salad, some spinich and something a ruther tortalini and a few other items! Now here is what I most loved! I saw that some Cheese tortalini had mold on it even though it wasn't expired and mom's said I should take it off the shelf and hand it to an employee, well we sure did and I am pleased to say that he took it straight to the back to make sure that nobody tried to purchase it! I love the fact that he was concerned as to how it was moldy in the first place since it wasn't expired, lol! Well all in all i'm still going back again! read more

Okay two words for you : Cookie Butter. Did that hook you? Probably did because after tasting this wonderful delight that Trader Joes carries, I absolutely LOVE it. Another wonderful find is the 3 layer hummus dip! OMG I was shoveling it down like no tomorrow. It is traditional, cilantro jalapeño and spicy hummus. Best combo EVER. Another great find is there store fave moscato that is pretty good price and quite a nice sweetness. This Trader. Joes is great because it has great customer service and people are always asking if you need help. Best part of a trader. Joes is that the prices are decent and actually for produce it is great quality but cheaper than Safeway. Only set back is the parking spots in front are soooooo tiny. Shop smart and head over here! Ahhh....My favorite biweekly shopping event. I hate shopping for ANYTHING let alone groceries. It seems that all the big grocery chains like Safeway and Bel-Air and yada, yada, yada all have these absurd prices and now they have the nerve to have a "club" with better prices ?...All you have to do is give them your phone number, home address and other personal info....No Thank You. Anyway, Trader Joes always has good prices, great items to choose from...A personal favorite of mine is the fresh Salmon burgers...yumm. If you happen to be a big health nut (which I can't say I am) then they also have a very healthy choice for most items....AANNNDD if you want your junk food they have a great selection of that as well :) Anyone that knows me, knows that I love good customer service and Trader Joes ALWAYS has great staff....All the employees are smiling and are very eager to navigate you to the item you are looking to find. Last but certainly not least....Trader Joes has an excellent Alcohol section (mainly wines, imported beers) with plenty of brews and wines you wont find many places... I love this place! They always have a variety of food items that I want to try. Among my purchases are sourdough bread, salted peanut butter-filled pretzels, frozen orange chicken, and everything but the bagel sesame seasoning. Joe was very nice. He overheard my bf and I talk about kambucha so he explained what it really is to us and gave us a sample. Jozef checked us out and he's so easy to strike up a conversation with. Upon moving to the Fairfield area, I was very excited to see that there was a Trader Joe's in Fairfield. Unfortunately, the excitement didn't last long. This is definitely one of the weaker locations of Trader Joe's . At other Trader Joe's (SF, San Jose, San Carlos, etc.), I have been able to find a great selection of fresh flowers. Not here. They do have fresh flowers but the selection is almost always the same. Big downer because I used to buy 2-3 bunches every time I went to Trader Joe's. Also, I am a huge fan of the daffodils that usually start arriving at other Trader Joe's about this time of year. So far, none at this location. The next thing I looked for was the fresh oatmeal cookies. I know, I really didn't need them but sometimes you just have to be bad. Of course, they don't carry them. I also looked several times for the Cliff Jr. bars (good for when you have a chocolate attack but don't want all of the calories.) Yep, not there. They weren't sure why because these are "big sellers." Before Christmas, I decided to buy some of their chocolate covered liqueur cherries to take to the east coast. I had told some of family about them and they wanted me to bring some with me. Ooops, that's right, its a "seasonal item!" A couple of weeks ago, I go in to purchase some of their fruit popsicles. Oh yes, you guessed it! "That's a seasonal item. We are a smaller location." Well, hello!! Isn't there a course available somewhere called "Retail 101?" You are a smaller location because you don't carry what people want. You have a Trader Joe's fan who has virtually stopped going there because you don't have the things she has become accustomed to purchasing at other Trader Joe's! I would love for Trader Joe's to open a store in Vacaville. I really enjoy the specialty items they have and the cute news paper they send you in the mail for their ads. They have a variety of specialty meats and cheeses, wine and beer all for reasonable prices. There are a wide variety of ethnic specialty foods as we'll. If you are a vegan of vegetarian you are in luck with TraderJoes there are plenty of choices for exciting meal preparations. If you have a party to plan or attend this is a must shop for unique, delicious finger foods or dinner party delights. Also works for that special occasion/date night grocery stop. If Trader Joe was a real man I would marry him and bare his children FOR SURE. Every time I go into this store they have so many beautiful options of snacks and healthy stuff. They got those .59 cents fruit roll up thingys. There's always amazing helpful lovely wonderful associates working and they get to wear cool stuff like hoodies and Hawaiian shirts. If you leave anything so much as less than a 4.5 star review here, maybe you should go review yourself being clearly you're not seeing what I'm seeing. Whoo! I love me some Trader Joe's. There's something so terrific about picking up a quick burrito, chocolate covered pretzels and organic soda for a road trip up and down I-80. The staff here is always so upbeat and friendly and ready with the suggestions. Man, I don't know what they pump into the air conditioning but it's intoxicating and puts everyone in a good mood. I wish we had more in Colorado, but the rules for carryon baggage on planes allow me to cram a lot of dry goods in a reusable goodie bag. Hallelujah! read more

One of my favorite Trader Joe's locations to go to. I found that this location was a lot smaller than previous locations I've been to and thus offered a lot less, but what they did offer was so much more unique and I was able to find products other Trader Joe's did not stock. Basically, this place is a gem. The customer service was great. I came in on a day where the store was packed and all of the employees on the floor immediately rushed to help out the struggling cashier. I love seeing camaraderie at the workplace because it does make the experience as a customer, tons better. This place has the best selection on pies and the like, so do pick up one for yourself! There was a time when there weren't many TJs around and I would drive hours just to shop at one. That's how much I love Trader Joes. Now there are more Trader Joes than ever before and it seems like everyone loves them as much as I do. What makes this one different from the rest? Great parking! There's always parking! Unlike the San Francisco ones or the Pasadena ones or the Sacramento ones! OK so I have been to a few to know this. Some of my favorites are Strawberry Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert made with Coconut Milk, Garlic-Stuffed Green Olives, and Fleur de Sel Caramel Sauce. read more

Still my go-to store to buy many of my grocery items. I often buy oatmeal, cheese, and nuts. They have so many excellent TJ-branded and other foods that it keep me coming back! They have excellent and tasty copycat foods of many items, such as cheesy tortilla chips, gluten-free pretzels, popcorn, etc. You name it and TJ's will probably have it. Plus, it's very affordable. Can't really beat the prices for lots of different foodstuffs! There is a small variety of produce. I only buy bagged lettuce and carrots. Sometimes the other produce, like oranges or peaches, aren't really the best quality and lacking flavor because it's already getting out of season so I typically by produce elsewhere. Just recently, the oranges were not really sweet and not as great. Any foods other than produce is your best bet. Also, they have a sample station and most times have a sample of something to try. Often times, they have amazing foods at the sample station, and I get to try foods that I would have thought were meh. I love the prepared salads and make an amazing lunch if I'm ever in a hurry! A little on the pricy side but worth it! TJ's is great, not only for groceries but they also have flowers, pet food, cards to give to people, vitamins, reusable bags, and other non-food items. Moved to Vacaville recently from Roseville and the FF location is the nearest TJ's to my home. Would be nice if a TJ's opens up in Vacaville! For now, will make the trip to FF. The store is smaller and items are slightly not in the same areas in other stores so I had to go on a hunt to find what I needed. The staff is friendly and cheery, but wish that prices on some of their items like produce wasn't a bit expensive. Other than that, will always love TJ's. read more

How do I put this? I LOVE TRADER'S JOE. This place really makes grocery shopping so easy, especially for a college student like me on a budget. I get fresh produce, yummy microwaveables, and healthy snacks at a very affordable price. You can catch me here every weekend picking up fruits for my smoothies. And also, their microwaveables, because you know, we all get busy. They have a wide range of ethnic foods from Korean Bibimbap to Indian Butter Chicken on Basmati Rice. Yum! Oh, and a variety of sweets for all you with a sweet tooth. Recently got their macarons. I have yet to try! Lastly, what really makes this place is the superb customer service. Ahhh.....one of the few places in Fairfield with good customer service. I would rather drive and shop elsewhere than shop in Fairfield. But going here reminds me of when I lived in Davis...the cashiers and staff are very friendly. The store is smaller than the Davis location but seems to have the same selection. I haven't had problems with the packaged foods but sometimes the vegetables can seem like they should have been removed from the shelves. FIRST - Trader Joe is my buddy but I do have an issue with him. When I go in I usually bring a few items from home to "trade" for my food. The problem is they only trade money for their food. Supermarkets in Fairfield: Suck. I mean, Raley's is expensive, as is Safeway. FoodMaxxxxx is just rather nasty, though the prices are better Trader Joe's? Awesometacular. They promote reusable grocery bags. They have glorious "2 buck Chuck", there are usually some outstanding samples, and there are a variety of atypical items to find here on a regular basis. Eggs are super cheap here too. This isn't the standard "supermarket", so don't be surprised to see a lack of variety if you want to buy some hot dogs, and you might be pressed to find personal hygiene products, but it's a sweet destination. read more

I love this place for many reasons: 1) friendly staff (I think they know me b/c I go there so often) 2) great selection of prepared, frozen food (I never knew frozen food can taste so good..., 3) great selection of random TJ snacks.. 4) probably the healthiest and most legit grocery store in the area... (Sorry, Fairfield, I like you, but I'm not fan of Raley's, Food Maxx, etc.. even though I do buy stuff from there.. During this unforeseen pandemic Trader Joe's has been the most organized and well stocked store in town! They genuinely care about their job and all their customers. They are the walking definition of being "all in this together" and it is shown in all that they do. They ensure we are safe by only allowing 25 customers in at a time & sanitizing All carts. They have a reasonable limit on the more essential items like eggs. Every employee is pleasant and calm which gives customers a pleasant and calm experience.
