This is our local Trader Joe's. Think we are here once a week. My daughter loves their frozen meals, literally takes us less than 10mins to prep and we have a full meal. It's not a big store but I feel most who comes here know what they want. I enjoy their own brand items. Most are great and great pricing. I love their bouquets here too. It's pretty inexpensive for the array of what you get. Food are fresh. Cashiers are always very nice and quick to get you out. If there's a line, don't worry, you'll be out in no time. This location is the closest to my area, so I always stop by here once a week just to re-stock my snack pantry lol. Snack prices are decent. Trader Joe's is very good with seasonal food items especially during the holidays - pumpkin flavored everything, Christmas flavored everything! lol. They have tons of chocolate varieties, I recently bought some Christmas gift goodies for my co-workers. There are sanitizing wipes in the entrance for the baskets. I prefer the basket over cart since it can get packed inside, just so it's easier for me to navigate. The employees are always very helpful and kind. My three year old son is a big fan of their "Customer in Training" shopping carts and wants to be in charge of the store visits. All of the staff members we have interacted with have been very receptive to him, which is really cool. When you live across the pond from a Trader Joe's, it becomes a must-stop when visiting Las Vegas. It's probably the best place to pick up unique, yummy, healthy, and affordable snacks to bring back home for friends, family, and coworkers. This is the first time I've walked into a Trader Joe's to find a shelf specifically stocked with "HAWAIIAN FAVORITES"! Really?! Now that's service! Shopping made easy I guess, especially for those of us visiting from the state of Hawaii. Even sweeter is seeing the street sign named "Ala Moana Blvd" in the midst of the Las Vegas Street signs at the check out lanes. Mahalo, Trader Joe's!! So, what are the favorites on that shelf?? Cookie Butter spread, Cookie Butter Sandwich Cookies, Chomps Snack Sticks (beef and turkey), Butter Almond Thins, Crepe Wafer Cookies, Baton Wafer Cookies (cocoa and vanilla) and Chocolate Hazelnut Cookies. Let me tell you though, there are plenty more favorites if you ask anyone living in Hawaii! We will even purchase more of the Trader Joe's reusable totes to prove it. Haha! I want to thank the young lady that works at this location. I returned 5 or 6 bags of dog treats because my dog crossed the bridge. She was getting my refund together and another employee brought me a bouquet of flowers. It brought tears to my eyes. Whatever they did to the layout of the store seems weird, there's no feeling of being able to walk in the aisles without everyone darting towards you. I was about to move to a register where the cashier was done, but she blatantly ignored me & greeted someone else, even though I stared at her for a moment as I tried to grab my items to purchase. They used to be friendly & right away call you over if you were waiting & they don't have a customer. The cashier whose line I went through talked to me but her face had an expression of disgust, not sure why. I've been in there a while ago after a good store manager left & the staff isn't friendly anymore. They don't greet anyone or ask if you need help finding anything like they used to. It just feels completely different than it was a couple of years ago. Now it's like you have to constantly dodge customers from running into you. As I was leaving a little kid was hanging back standing on a cart & bumped his head on my arm. Maybe it's the customers mostly that ruined it but I don't like going in there anymore. Beyond the incredible snacks TJ's has a very good selection of prepared meals and salads. Today I'm giving a review of their Gochujang salad. Pre packaged salads are very convenient; minimal prep and eat. You can get all the standards at any grocery stairs; Caesars, Kale, Mediterranean but at Trader Joe's you can get variety. This Gochujang salad is fresh, has an appealing mouth crunch, it's chopped so I recommend using a tablespoon and the vinegarette is slightly creamy and the perfect amount to cover the salad. The package consists of a washed and chopped, ready to eat mixture of cabbage, lettuce, shaved carrot and radish with a packet of crunchy puffed rice (it looks like it's too much but use it all), a packet o black sesame seeds and a packet of Gochujang/sesame oil dressing. I will be having this again. Highly recommend! read more

Another store that won't come to Hawaii... This Henderson location is closest to my cousin's house. It's also near to a Kohl's (which we also don't have in the 50th State). We understand that the shipping costs to our Aloha State are very high. We just appreciate the reasonable prices here at Trader Joe's when we come to shop for goodies to bring home to Hawaii! Our coworkers, family members and friends really look forward to receiving treats from us! For example: My mom was buying those reusable Kitchen Towels - she really thought those were really practical and easy to pack... mom is always right! My nieces enjoy the butter waffle cookies; and my clerk's husband likes the peanut butter-filled pretzels, dipped in chocolate! I like the 99 cents high-quality greeting cards... so useful and artsy! On this trip, my roommate had me try the Peruvian Corn Nuts... "Giant Peruvian Inca Corn"...the kernels are extra large! Yummy! A new favorite! I feel like a kid in a candy store coming into Trader Joe's. It definitely feels like a scavenger hunt when you don't even know what you want. I love finding new things and getting my favorites. The macaroons and cookie butter spread are definitely my favorite things to get here. I've had their popular orange chicken which is absolutely delicious and flavorful. With sad faces, we know that Trader Joe's will not open in Hawai'i BUT what that means to many of Hawai'i's residents is that any visit to ANY Trader Joe's will yield fun, useful or delicious omiyage (gifts representing a specific place or region to share with those who did not travel). Unlike souvenirs, these gifts carry more cultural significance. The number ONE omiyage gift is a food item. That being said, people from Hawai'i seek out and treasure those butter wafer cookies or Speculoos cookie butter or mostly anything that has a Trader Joe's brand label on it. In the past, we've brought back TJ's famous cookies (biscotti, chocolate-malted chip cookies, chocolate covered almonds and/or Lacey's cookies). However, this time, we didn't bring luggage and only made enough room in our carry-on bags for small and light items. Going into this particular location, we did note that their shelves were all well-stocked and organized, the facility was clean and well-maintained, the staff members were friendly and prices were reasonable. We wandered in and immediately found the items that we had planned on bringing back with us. No, they weren't food items but, let's just say that whenever we buy these items, we've always been stopped by TSA or have had our luggage opened and inspected. For this neighborhood, this TJ's is a great place to shop at. Maybe the next time we're out this way, we'd stop here, again. NOTE: Did you know that every TJ's location has a hidden toy or plastic lobster (named "Lemmy") to keep the kids occupied while you shop? Or their private labeled food items are ALL tasting panel tested to assure the products are GMO Free, preservative-free, trans-fat free and free from artificial flavors. read more

TJ's been in many, shopped, taste tested (we all do it, and not just a taste). perhaps two or three for verification. Of course;) I'm a fan of the pressed bottled juices, always checking that end of aisle of new items. Indeed, I usually leave with two new items. Today they had canned wine, yes canned. Nope, not one can came home with me. Pre-made salads, packed sliced fruit- great. It prevents me from cleaning and cutting myself. Ha:) however, check those dates on the packaged items. Short shelf life:( A new item today was in a jar, Marsala. Will update when I try it. No matter what, it's a win. Been going to Trader Joes FOR YEARS. Even the ones in New Jersey where I used to live were great, although they did not have a license to sell booze because of the communist state on NJ. Since I left that shithole, I have found the same GREAT people out here in the great state of Nevada. The people are friendly no matter which one you go to, the products are great although it is not a "full service" grocery store, AND the prices are pretty competitive. Trader Joe's is great because of all of the cool specialty items that they have but this place is expensive. Compared to Whole Foods or smiths I found thus place to be $1-$2 more expensive for the same items. Also someone almost hit me in the parking lot it was very busy and congested. I think I try to hit up every TJs in whichever county I am visiting. This trip, we weren't able to find a lot of the items we usually enjoy. With the pandemic affecting many things, especially the shipping and stocking of items. No matter which TJs I go, I am always happy. The parking and store are really congested. The kids ES are somewhat long to checkout. They always have my favorite sugar free chocolates, heirloom tomatoes, unique cheeses and plantain chips. They carry many broth alternatives and spice blends that are unique. They also carry a large selection of wines and unique snacks. read more

I'm in Southwest and like Trader Joe's fans, wish there was one closer than Summerlin. I was in the area so I stopped in the Henderson location. Trader Joe's is nothing new to me; I'm from California. Most locations in California are super busy with road-rage incidents happening in their teensy parking lots. This parking lot was busy however not to the extent that I've been formerly subjected to. All the clerks I ran in to seemed pleasant as did the checker and bagger. People have bad days. I would know. I worked retail for over a decade. I didn't experience any person having a bad day despite the heavy holiday foot traffic. I'm a firm believer of what you give out you get back. I found some new favs. The samosas, I suspect have been around I've just never tried them before. Super yummy even in the microwave. I actually stopped in to pick up some Indian food. The individual tikka masala chicken was far spicier than I remember. The paneer had a more subdued flavor which I prefer. I'm going to try the family size masala in the deli section. I hope it's not too spicy. The Winter Wassail was super lovely. I could see how someone would think it tastes like potpourri but I found the flavor to be really nice! Only caveat was some customers thought they were the only ones in the place. This is annoying for a small-square footage store. Move it along peeps! Trader Joe's has no loss of stars for this. This Trader Joe's is consistent!! Always nice, friendly, and personable w/ customer service. Also, they're always cleaning so it's very fresh. I have to shout out Roger he was so kind at checkout. He asked what I was up to on a Wednesday evening and seemed very vested to listening. You don't get that now a days with check out. Additionally, Paulina came to help bag and was very sweet. You could easily go to a nearer grocery store, but nope. I enjoy it here, because no matter how busy these employees are, they still take the time to show genuine care. It may be a busy location it's busy for a good reason! They're ON POINT! Remember to enter the parking lot ways the correct way (aka look at the arrows & how the cars are parked) don't be like me being an doof entering the wrong way lol. Hawaii is a gift-giving culture. Many here practice the act of omiyage - giving family and friend gifts when traveling abroad. While this could potentially be a tedious task, gift shopping can actually be a fun and rewarding experience if Trader Joe's is involved. I stopped here on Day 1 on a recent trip to Vegas for a conference. Trader Joe's has never let me down and this time they had a full array of spirits for purchase. I know I've seen wine available when visiting before, but I don't remember seeing liquor. Bonus! The service, as always, was EXCEPTIONAL!!! This particular location was a bit on the smaller side, but there was plenty of parking and everything was easy to find due to the standard Trader Joe's layout. I walked out with the requisite amount of gifts (chocolates, dried fruit, scones, etc.) If I'm in Vegas again, I won't hesitate to visit again. read more
