The latest reviews score this location 1 and 2 stars. I agree. This location is on the decline and hopefully ownership or management is reviewing this and will address. The inventory is organized and great. The Customer Service department is not so customer-centric. I am happy for them that they like each other and are all smiles with each other, but your primary role and responsibility is to take care of the customer not be chitter chattering away, unfocused and lazy with your response. I was returning an item so they asked would I like to shop. And I said perhaps but can you tell me how much my return item is. A male in his twenties with dark brown hair shrugged and said I think it might be $X. He guessed an inaccurate price. We are not playing The Price is Right. I didn't ask so he could be lazy and guess an answer. My need unmet. The professional Trader Joeish answer should have been, "One moment , let me find out for you." Unbelievable. This is 101. Yes, it's great that the staff is having fun with each other but that must be secondary to customer service. Step it up.

My favourite trader Joe's in Irvine. The crew members are absolutely fantastic. The service here is tops and the crew members are overall very lovely people. Shoutout to Sheldon for getting us to always come back to this location (the other TJs is five min closer to us, but it's worth the drive). my daughter and I are very fond of him. He is a total mensch and always goes the extra mile to be very kind and helpful **my kid will call out "Sheldon!!!" As soon as we walk through the doors!** haha, it's pretty cute, as it reminds me of the character, Edith Bunker, who would call for "Archie!" From Norman Lear's TV show, "all in the family" (which was picked up by our dear family friend, Robert D. Wood, who was President of CBS at the time). Sheldon is absolutely fantastic, and management at this store should give credit where credit is due for providing first class service and for being a bona fide mensch. That being said, This store is always fully stocked with our favourite foods and snacks, and we always walk out with more than expected. There's always some new and exciting to try. I can't speak on the "ambiance" (why, Yelp?) it's a grocery store. What kind of ambiance should a grocery store have? Tip for Parents with young kids: Ask a crew member about Larry the lizard. He is hidden somewhere around the store. If your kid finds him, they get a lollipop. It's fun for the kids, and keeps them busy while you shop in the store :) What's there not to like? I will happily spend my money here!

I come here because my son can shop with me using the little kids' shopping cart. But they have gotten rid of it!!! My son was so sad last time we came...... And on 2/14/25 I came to shop in the morning at 9:15 and after school around 3:30... I saw multiple people with dogs inside the store! (They were not service dogs!) This is a health code violation! The employees saw the dogs, but were too nice to say something.

Great location great service. They treated you like friends. They have special paper bags during holiday season. I use the Trader Joe's Christmas shopping bag to wrap the Christmas gift instead of buying wrapping paper.

I love this TJ but sometimes you come across rude part-timers. It's like they don't care about this summer job :( sadly.. I miss the workers that have a good attitude and offer small talk. El and Lexi were my cashiers today and when I approached them with my cart they were just talking to eachother and ignoring me. Then I just stared cus I needed to check out. After a while they asked if I was ready and started checking out-- all while still taking to eachother.. no interaction with customer. These cashiers should get reorientation of customer service. This review is not about their quality of products or any other workers at this location. Today's experience was just bad.

Awesome having a Trader Joe's literally walking distance to me. I usually go to the big grocery stores for most of my shopping but come here for specialty items. Store seems to never be super packed as other Trader Joe's I've been to but we warned that parking and pedestrians are pretty sketchy in the plaza in general. It's conveniently located near the plaza exit/entrance and has all of the items that I frequent for like Ube ice cream and bao! Customer service is always top notch here when I come and even the checkout line has never been longer than one person ahead of me for some reason! Favorite items that I come here for: Ube ice cream Philly cheesesteak bao Flowers Wine Orange chicken Probably more that I'm forgetting but I definitely need to look and try more stuff!

I never tell Trader Joe's what I need because Trader Joe's tells me what I need 99.9% of the time hahah Besides the friendly employees who always make sure to ask how your day's going or if you're finding everything alright, I love this store because of their hard to beat prices for such quality & healthy grocery items. On top of that, they have food for every lifestyle - gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, pescatarian, and the list goes on. They even have frozen meals to touch on so many ethnicities. Their pre-made salads and tasty alcoholic beverages are my absolute favorite & their cheap flowers are the charming details I use in my apartment. They strongly enforce masks & social distancing, as well. I love my local TJ!

Fresh selections of fruits, veggies and flowers, yes flowers. Also a lot of succulents and herbal plants to choose from. I love their mango barsice cream and the mini cones. Their eggs are also cheaper here also their bananas. I always buy their vegan banana bread and meringue. Their loves of bread are very good too. Fast friendly service among the cashiers too. I have not anyone who's rude here

Love Trader Joe's and this location is great. It is large, well-stocked (flowers galore), and always organized. Workers are super friendly and helpful. They have child carts that my son looks forward to using. And often times workers offer him stickers or a lollipop at the register. We always leave this location feeling happy with our experience. Trader Joe's favorite and staples: - Brioche bread loaf- thick slices perfect for French toast - Mango and Peach yogurt cups,kids love - Chocolate covered almonds, have added these to gifts -Frozen mango ice cream bars - Green Onion pancake, frozen section - Pork belly- boxed in refrigerator section - Great dip selection - Cheaper here compared to other grocery stores: maple syrup, eggs, organic milk. Juices, chips/ snacks Although busy at times, the lines go fairly quickly. Great location, adjacent to Michaels and Homegoods. The selection, the vibe, and service bring me back.

This is the only Trader Joe's I will shop at during the current Pandemic. It's the only location I feel is being safe. Carts and baskets are wiped down. All employees are wearing masks and properly. Masks are also required by shoppers and are being enforced. Two other South OC locations are not enforcing masks, and people are definitely going to those stores for that reason. I prefer safety as I am high risk and I feel safe in this store. I love Trader Joe's. Their items, their pricing, their staff... this location is about a 30 minute scenic drive for me but it's 100% worth it to support a store that cares about their employees and guests and their safety. The cashier who helped me last weekend was floored the other locations weren't enforcing masks. I'm just thankful this one is. All produce is fresh and clean. Everything non this store is nearly organized and fresh and clean as well. Two thumbs up!

I love Trader Joe's! This location is a decent size and is always stocked. (At least when I go). The parking lot is a decent size, there always seems to be parking when I come. The employees are doing a great job sanitizing all the carts and enforcing face masks during covid. The thing I love about Trader Joe's is the unique seasonal items. I'm obsessed with the ube ice cream. When I last came this location was stocked! I also love the focaccia bread, everything but bagel seasoning, Elote seasoning and garlic onion pistachios. This is my go to grocery store.

WOOT WOOT! Trader Joe's, I love your hummus! I always come here to stock up on juicing items! I usually find that Trader Joe's have decently priced groceries. I've been shopping at Trader Joe's since they opened and I love all the foods and products they offer that give the budding home cook to the experienced chef the "gourmet" feel to their kitchen craft. From imported olive oils to macarons, ready made meals, and produce, I have not come across too many items that were inedible or poor tasting. And you know their breads, flat breads, tortillas, and etcétera are very fresh and have little to no preservatives because they tend to start molding if you don't consume them in the enjoy by dates labeled. Food tastings are highlights for myself and my little foodie daughter and also the fun she has when searching for the lizzard for a treat on our visits. And can't forget the super nice people who run the place that make it always an enjoyable shopping experience. The only thing that I'm a little iffy about is that the price on produce sometimes run pricey even those not organic and that they no longer have their tomato paste in a tube form. But other than that it's a great place for a quick stop to pick up an item if you happen to forget it on your shopping list. read more

The Trader Joe's in the Woodbury Center is the best! I stopped by today 4/16/20 for some quarantine essentials, and was shocked by the cleanliness of the store, the excellent customer service, and the overall organization. Everyone had positive attitudes, especially your employee Nick. Thanks TJ's for your dedication to serving the public, and going the extra mile to keep everyone as safe as possible. read more

Oh my, I love this Trader Joe's! The first time that I stepped into TJ's I did not think too much of it. But as time goes by and the more I look around and shop here, I keep falling in love over and over again. The people working here as sooo friendly and kids get a treat when they find the Coyote hidden in the store on a different spot each time. They give us little goodies to try out. I love their pizza's, their VG's, cookies (especially the Joe-Joe's), gummi bears and all the other stuff in the store. I like their frozen section too, especially their potstickers. They have par-baked bread that my kids love to eat, especially when it just comes out of the oven. Recently they have moved some stuff around and it seems that their cheese collection has increased a lot. Great selection of French cheeses and really good prices. Look for hidden treasures in the bottom or the top of shelves, I have found this incredible Orange Muscat Champagne Vinegar that is incredible on a salad. So yummy and healthy. I really enjoy coming to this Trader Joes. Most of the time everything is stocked. The fruit and veggies here are fresh, they have the best deals on things like Clif Bars compared to next door Ralphs. The prices are decent and are mostly lower than Ralphs. They have their own brand of cereal which is pretty good and probably better for you than the real version. You have to try the bruschetta. It is one of the best I have had. Also, they have a great selection of wines and beers against the left wall. Service is always friendly. I have only been annoyed a few times by some of the restockers. They don't really seem to want to give you personal space. Other than that, the cashier is always ready to greet you with a smile. :) read more

I love Trader Joes, so stumbling across this location was a real find. It's in the Woodbury Town Center off Irvine Boulevard. It's your pretty standard TJs, and was actually a bit busier than the ones I usually go to. The lines move quick though, and they have a well-stocked selection. The only reason I docked a star is because I bought some of the Trader Ming's pork buns, not realizing that they weren't frozen when I put them in my basket--I think the refrigeration may have been off, because by the time I got home 15 minutes later, they were completely thawed and mushy. read more

Trader Joe's has almost everything at great prices. I say almost everything, because there are items they don't carry like dental floss or q-tips. Anyway, their food selection is very good. I'm a big fan of their pre-packaged Spicy Lentil wrap as a quick lunch. read more

Good service and prices. Employees are always happy like almost creepy happy but I'm okay with that. If you ask them where something is, they will literally stop what they are doing and take you there. Every time. A few of my favorite things: chicken lasagna, dark chocolate ice cream bars, dark chocolate peanut butter cups, anything dark chocolate, prepackaged salads and flavored mineral waters. read more

The people who work at this Trader Joe's are always friendly. It can be very busy if you go around 5ish on weekdays since everyone and their mother goes there after work. I recommend their bruschetta and lentils mix with feta. Pair that with some pita chips and you got a appetizer for any occasion. read more

This Trader Joes is my favorite! It's never crowded, and very helpful staff. I also like it becuase I used to go to other TJ's that are small and crowded-this one this not like that all! Update: Although I like how TJ's is organic and has great prices, if you Read The Labels their meat comes from Mexico and Australia...the cashews from Thailand. I don't know about you but I don't want any food from another country especially Mexico. Whole Foods doesn't have meat from other countries! Read the Labels! read more

Anything you buy at Trader Joe's is sooo legit! They have the best slection of dessert and random things! The staff at this location is very friendly and they always engage in conversation when checking out. It just makes you feel welcome and puts a smile on your face. read more

4.5 stars for the great location and the helpful staff! The only complaint is that their supply of things I like is spotty. In the last month alone, they stopped carrying pink lemonade and the sausage mushroom calzone. They were also out of the reduced fat potato chips on my last visit. The staff is friendly though bc when I can't find something, they're nice enough to go check their supply on the computer. Unfortunately they usually come back and tell me they've discontinued the item I wanted... read more

This Trader Joes is not super crowded, which is great. It's full of so many organic products/produce and vegetarian options! Everyone who works here is really nice and helpful! :) The only confusing thing is they redo the isles all the time!!!! why?! I think it's to make you have to look thru everything so you buy more. The daily samples make up for that tho ;) read more

We love this place. Delicious food at a very reasonable prices. They moved about one year told to this location which is a much better location due to the increased parking locations. Their staff is very friendly and helpful. Their produce is fresh and the selection is massive. Try their Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups..... They are delectable. read more

Irvine is really lucky to have multiple TJ locations. The Woodbury location is the best! Great customer service and awesome selection. Parking lot is not contentious and the aisle are manageable even on a Sunday afternoon! read more

I love Trader Joe's, the always have a good selection that seems to change every once in a while so we get to try new things :) They especially have a good GF selection (GF oreos, YES!), and most things are marked which is a nice convenience (but not everything, go to their website for a more thorough list). AND their staff is always super nice, A+ to them in my book. My only complaint is that this Trader Joes is a bit smaller than the other stores, and they still dedicate a third of the store to alcohol. Sometimes I go to the one on Culver if I'm going for more than a couple things. But overall, since we live so close its super convenient. read more

My favorite Trader Joe's location in Irvine due to the parking (plenty of it and electric chargers near Chick Fil A) plus the fact that they stay open until 10pm. The long lines are unavoidable at any TJ's but if you avoid coming at busy times you'll be ok. read more

My Nutritionist helped me understand that good health starts at the supermarket and I am so glad that I rediscovered Trader's Joe. Unlike Costco that packages are big, here nothing goes to waste, always good to the last bite. I have all the reasons to love TJ: clean, friendly staff, reasonable pricing , variety and great return policy! read more

This place is like my pantry. Seems like I'm always there. It's within walking distance. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Don and Ken (managers) are great. Awesome return policy. Customer service is wonderful. Big store with new things arriving all the time. The girl the runs the floral section does a great job. Not to mention how well this store is run and organized. If your in the area stop by and say hello to the crew. read more

What can I say? Trader Joe's is simply the best. The have great prices and a wonderful staff. Definitely my favorite for peanut butter, coffee, marinated meat and I'm sure that there's a bunch of things that I have yet to discover. And this one, at Woodbury Town Center, has a large location and lots of parking. sweet! read more

Beware!!!! So disappointed! I was a loyal customer for years. I have never expected TJ would sell rotten meat to me. But it happened twice.I bought steaks two times and both times the meat smelled so bad I was ready to throw up. First time I brought the steak back to the store and they returned the money. Sadly, the second time it was the same, the meat also smelled so bad it was clear that it is unsafe to eat. The store's employee returned our money again. Huge waste of our time and money. Shame on TJ! This is not okay to keep on the shelves rotten meat, especially when it is not cheap and 10$ per piece. I am afraid I have to look for another store to buy my groceries because I don't want to get food poisoning and can't trust the store that lets rotten meat on their shelves. read more

Traders Joe is my favorite store. I love the fresh food and the affordable prices and the wines are so great as well, variety of imported wines from all over the world. The flowers are beautiful and affordable too, good cheeses, meat and pasta noodles are great prices. The people who works in the store are courteous and pleasant. read more

The manager here is not one to brag about. He tried to kick me out because of my adorable little puppy chihuahua pug mix who i had bundled up in a fur jacket in the child seat of the cart and he was not having it one bit. He followed me around the store making a scene involving other employees which was extremely rude and unprofessional. I get it if theres state standards and laws prohibiting this but theres a better way to treat customers and really he should have tried a better approach rather than creating a horrible atmosphere and less than satisfactory guest experience. Bond is his name i believe and 100% because of his attitude and decision to display such poor customer service in addition to his inappropriate communication skills (or lack thereof) leaves me obligated to give this 1star review. Enroll in some management, communication and customer service courses buddy....your store will benefit greatly. I doubt I will be returning to this location given this most recent visit this evening. What a Shame. read more

I go here shopping at the beginning of the week and love their items, especially the almond milk and almond butter! What can I say i'm an almond type of a girl :) However, the last time I dropped by, I was at checkout and the guy was too busy having a conversation with the checkout guy next to him. All i got was eye contact and not even a hello and a goodbye like i'm used to! Maybe i'm being a little shallow, but I expect at least a hello and goodbye from my TJ's check out person since I have been so used to it! Or maybe i'm just being dramatic... Overall, a great store...but i'll just pick another line if I see the same check out guy next time. read more

It took long for me to write this review. Long story short. I was 7 months pregnant with my daughter and got my first bee sting in store while shopping for some apples. Informed staff, store manager, and corp but NO help nor any responses from either of them regarding this potential fetal matter. No one expressed any concerns at all. I am just thankful to God that my daughter and I both end up no health issues. Very mad there's no care for customers. Never went back shop ever again. read more

Mine went bad very quickly and unfortunately had to throw it away. Although I do like their frozen food selections, and finding some meat that were on sale like the ground chicken breast for 5 bucks! I had the same problem, before him actually, but was just waiting. Dude gets tired of waiting and moves to a different checkout machine. Totally understandable. Sarah? She lights him up. Get this... she tells him: you can't just move to another checkout when you want to. I told you if you had a problem to let me know. Can you believe that? The self checkout attendant telling a guy what he can and can't do and what she "told" him. I waited for Sarah to get to my machine and solve the problem that it was present. And then I went over and let the guy know that he could do whatever he wanted it and to ignore Sarah.

Other than that, most of the products here, from frozen foods to kimchi and other groceries, have been consistently fresh. The store is clean, well organized, and doesn't have that strong market smell that some grocery stores can have. It's also not the biggest H Mart that I've been to either. It's not a Super H Mart like some other locations. They do have a small food court off to the side, but seating is limited. The food court has Maison de Croissant (yummy croffles and other baked goods), Pizza Chicken Love Letter (at least the last time I checked), and I think at least one more. Like the other locations they have packed deli food and other bento box type foods that get discounted later on. Very busy and very crowded and since it's smaller, a bit more limited. Does what it has to, but definitely better locations out there.

Another problem would be finding a seat since there's hardly any tables and your plate is pretty big and bowls are heavy so you have to be somewhat quick to find a seat. The ambiance is fine but that's kind of to be expect in any supermarket, which is usually crowds talking and all. I really don't have much to say. Ever since this place closed down the anime shop, the DVD store, and bookstore, this place pretty much lost what made Mitsuwa special and worth visiting. Especially for someone who's into both anime and tokusatsu like Super Sentai (Japanese Power Rangers). Those places are what got me my first Gundam model kit (Freedom Gundam from Gundam Seed) and my go to place for Japanese DVDs as mentioned (Gokaiger, Kyoryuger, and Nanoha). I understand why they close down these stores, especially with streaming services and online shopping are a thing, even though I don't fully agree as they are customers like me that would prefer in-store physical copies. That is why I deduct one star. These are replaces with a gachapon store, a Matcha store, a Boba store I believe and Daiso. The matcha and boba place (forgot the names sorry) are surprisingly good. I really like the matcha ice cream in a bowl and I believe the Doncha. The gachapon I cannot say as I never spend money there and I'm not into these gacha machines and I rarely buy anything in Daiso as its just your typical convenience store that sells some Japanese stuff so I won't say much. In conclusion, it's a very nice spot to eat Japanese meals and especially something to fill you up for the day while also shopping to buy Japanese food to cook at home. Just be aware this is pretty pricey, especially the Royce matcha chocolates and the food court.

If you're ordering delivery or planning a pickup, I'd strongly recommend choosing another Albertsons or a nearby Ralphs instead. This location seems to struggle with basic order management, and unfortunately it shows.

There were strawberry slices on top with a few mochi pieces, and a little condensed milk drizzle on top. The middle and bottom layers were just crunchy ice. This was also gravely disappointing. Parking on weekend evenings look to be challenging as it was for me.

Hmm. Whenever I come here for just a "couple of things", I can leave with the entire store in the shopping cart. Parking here isn't great because the lot is awkwardly configured with a major lane cutting across where parking spaces should be. However, there's enough spaces available that you don't have to circle around the lot like the Trader Joe's in Culver City or Westwood. Came here for some sandwich meat and cheese slices. Ok picked that up the reduced sodium ham and sliced cheddar cheese. Of course I can't leave without some fruit so I picked up blood oranges which is awesome! Went to the deli area and picked up lentil and green pea soup. Oftentimes, they are out of either or both types of soups. So, got lucky today. It's post-super bowl today, but still had kale dip and unsalted organic tortilla chips. Don't forget the orange soda. In the frozen section, the arugala pizza and spinach ricotta pizzas are always reliable. Love those chicken potstickers. They are really the best around and superior to so many other potstickers. Also need to get the hash browns and mildly spicy vegetarian burritos for those quick meals. Their frozen goods are really good. Picked up the calcium enriched orange juice too. Not all OJ are fortified with calcium (Costco) so it's great that TJ does. Also picked up the cinnamon bun rolls that you can pop open and heat in a toaster oven. Stood in line at the cash register. Disappointing Fruit Quality, Great Customer Service I recently visited Trader Joe's to buy some fruit, but unfortunately, my experience left a lot to be desired. After returning home and tasting the fruit, I was extremely disappointed to find that everything had a terrible taste. It was such a letdown, especially considering my expectations for quality produce. However, I must commend the exceptional customer service provided by the grocery manager. When I rushed back to the store to express my concerns, they were understanding and offered me a credit for the purchase. Their friendly approach and willingness to resolve the issue were truly appreciated. While I'm grateful for the assistance I received, the overall quality of the fruit has left me hesitant to shop for produce at Trader Joe's in the future. I value freshness and taste when it comes to fruits, and unfortunately, this experience fell short of my expectations. I have to agree with 1 start reviews, I just moved to Irvine from LA where TJ was go to store, If I have to list 5 things about that I hate about this store, number 1 is the weird vibe you get once you walk into the store, and the management, there's guy named Scott, a clueless warm body on every question, and super heavyweight women named Gaby, another racist xenophobic store "Captain" that constantly seems to fool around with older Hispanic bearded male worker, and other men in front of my 6 year old child, with no respect for customers. Every time I come to this location to staff at work you're always so bubbly and so happy. That really makes you feel comfortable walking to the store and also spending your hard-earned money at this location. Normally I dont review chains but I always like coming into this trader joes and I wanted to SERIOUSLY THANK Izaac. I left my card in the reader carrying my groceries out and despite it being slightly busy, he caught me in the parking lot give me my card. I love Trader Joe's (probably more than Whole Foods Market) because they come up with the most delicious and interesting products that'll improve your health. This is my favorite branch of all Trader Joe's branches. The staff here are super friendly, nice and attentive. read more

I LOVE TRADER JOES!!! It is seriously the best. They always have unique food items and great snacks. Cookie butter, cheese, wine.. ect ect. The workers are awesome and seem to enjoy their job. One of my favorite places to shop. read more
