You have been my steady go-to grocery store for the past few years. I can always count on you to have the fresh bagged veggies (already prepped and cleaned) that I can easily toss into the pot. Love your bagged snacks, crackers and rice that is conveniently bagged individually and enough for one portion size. Your cashier's are always so up beat and nice despite the weekend chaos of shoppers with their screaming kids. I also love your paper bags and use them as recyclable containers in my house. I was never really a big fan of Trader Joe's, until recently. People have always told me that it's way overpriced, and without actually going inside and finding out for myself, I believed them. Stupid me! Recently, I've discovered their Indian frozen meals: Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikki Masala and Spicy Lamb Vindaloo. Pair these with the frozen garlic naan bread right next to them in the frozen section, and you have yourself a DELICIOUS meal! And might I say, the price for these items are actually pretty cheap when you think about them. $3 for the meal and then approx $3 for 4 garlic naans... CANT BEAT IT! I would also recommend trying the peanut sauce salad dressing. I use it as a sauce with chicken and pasta and/or chicken and rice and it's amazing! read more

Located in a great location, and was just in the neighborhood for a small event in the same shopping center. So it worked out for me, since a I needed a few groceries. Literally a handful. Just like any old TJ, same great selections. Grabbed a few bananas, large bin of blueberries, large bottle of honey, and some buttery waffle cookies to balance the healthy with the not so healthy options. I limited myself to only what I needed by using one of the kid size carts. Loved it, cause I got some looks from a few shoppers. But it was also a conversation starter too. Lol. One guy said they should have these size carts at CostCo so we don't leave with so much. Lol. I goofed around with other kids using the same cart. To all of you that judged me that day, poo on you, cause I had the better shopping experience. Anywho, so many good and fresh selections at reasonable prices. If I remember, I think I only paid about $15. Not bad...I did say reasonable, not cheap! read more

Super sad because TJ's Is one of my favorite places to shop at.. but since the media has shoved this "pandemic" down our throats, they have not been polite, or accommodating to those who cannot wear masks. Today, I was able to shop in Ralph's, without a mask. I then went to Trader Joe's to finish my shopping, I put my mask on so it covered my mouth, as covering my nose makes it nearly impossible for me to breath due to medical reasons. On their website it states those with medical issues are exempt. They clearly do not know their store policies or they just don't care. A greasy, long haired crew member told me to pull my mask up above my nose, and my response was "I'm sorry I'm medically exempt, I'm doing the best I can". He then very rudely and under his breath said "well then maybe you should just shop somewhere else". I said "excuse me?" And he couldn't not even look at me after that. Pathetic. Little boy was more afraid to look me in the eyes after that comment than he was to be disrespectful to customers. I calmly spoke to Ken, the on-site manager, after and explained Im exempt and that I'm doing my best. Trying to wear a mask to abide by their rules, and to not be verbally attacked by customers/employees... Shame on Trader Joe's. Shame on that crew member and shame on Ken for not doing anything. read more

I've never been to Trader Joes until I moved to Irvine not so long ago but the employees and the customer service is so professional everyone is so nice and respectful but this evening I I visited the store twice and had to go a third time so I sent my sons and they are not familiar with the store as it was there first time going I needed Beets and well they did not know what they were so I decided to call the store to see what section they might be in and spoke to Conner he was able to tell me as I told him my sons were they looking for them he was so nice to ask what my sons looked like so he can track them down and helped them I'm so impressed of how fast he found them and really helped thank you Connor your Awesome for that. read more

Trader Joe's - Trees and stores front - Grocery Near Me - Irvine, California

Out of the few locations of Trader Joe's I have been to, I tend to like this one the most. The store is located within the confines or a large shopping center off Irvine Blvd and is large, clean and efficient. The store is broken down like other grocery stores in that it has separate sections for things such as breads, frozen foods, candy/nuts as well as all of the other sections you would be accustomed to seeing, however the food is on the healthier side in most cases. The pricing here is also quite nice when compared to other stores of this nature such as Whole Foods or Sprouts. The store is very clean and has a nice mural depicting a country side with fresh fruits and veggies and uses earthy tones to make you feel good. The clerks who work here always seem to be at the top of their game and are good at getting customers cashed out in a timely and efficient manner. This location also has a deli in the back corner of the store selling healthy sandwiches, soups and the like. They also tend to have several free samples for the customer to try out which is also a nice addition. With my wife now eating healthier and me trying my best to find healthy food I will eat or am willing to try it's nice to have a place like this around for me to explore and discover new and exciting items. We will definitely continue to shop here when looking for those items they don't carry in your run of the mill grocery store. read more

Michelle the manager with Hawaiian shirt, was extremely rude and unprofessional who told me I am not allowed inside the store with my Service not! NOT MY EMOTIONAL SERVICE DOG! She didn't even asked me and when I politely started explaining and showing my dogs card and the reason, she replied: I dont care, our customer might have an Allergy to dogs and DOGS are not allowed! Well, I have a seizure and have to have my dog with me and she didn't ask she didn't care and her tone of voice was extremely rude and loud! I am sure she has done the same thing to others because rudness doesnt come out like that! I left the store and after few minutes I couldn't resolve the horrible feeling she causes to me so I went back with all my dog documents and I wanted to see the manager. He liistened to me and apologized but I will never ever forget how down she looked at me and how I felt! Michelle as a manager you dont know anything and you are very unprofessional! I literally cannot believe what great service I've received from this grocery store. I live in the area and shop here 3-4x per month and always have a pleasant experience- the store is clean, the staff are friendly and the products are great. Recently though, I've been so impressed by the team that works here. I placed a large order for pizza dough (300 units) for an event I was putting on for an apartment community I manage. The process was seamless- the product was on time, in great condition and the team took it upon themselves to package 50 units in multiple banana boxes. They also carried them to my car and loaded them for me. Today, I went looking for fall treats and couldn't find their oat maple beverage as seen on Instagram (lol). We asked a team member who checked with his manager and in the back for us and reported they didn't have any available. No problem, thanks for checking for us! We check out with Eli (who is super friendly and cool) and go to the parking lot to load the car. The manager, Greg comes running out with an oat maple beverage he found in the back, hands it to my husband free of charge and heads back in the store. Never have I ever had such a great experience which is why I will shop at Trader Joe's forever. Thank you all for being so great- totally made my day!! :) read more

When I moved into the area one of the biggest selling points for me was that there was a Trader Joe's about 5 min from my house - honestly the realtor should have put that on the listing. This location like many others is quite large in size but an even bigger bonus? It shares a parking lot with the entire Woodbury Centre so parking is abundant and I don't necessarily have to worry about someone backing into me due to tight spaces and narrow lanes. Funny and sad thing is that I moved to the area right as COVID19 started plaguing us all so the majority of my visits here have been during the shelter in place orders. Thank you thank you for Trader Joe's for being open and functional and for not gouging prices during that time. When the initial shelter in place order started people flocked here - for good reason - I mean we all know Trader Joe's to have quality staples at such low prices. And to help combat this and ensure that everyone could take advantage of the wealth - they limited purchasing of each product to 2. Then with social distancing being more strongly enforced they started limiting customers in the stores to help combat that, even lining up cones outside to help guide anxious customers wanting to get inside. And then when people started highlighting how vulnerable customers were having trouble with obtaining groceries and were in fear of being exposed they changed their store hours to accommodate. They say that how companies choose to treat their customers and employees during these trying times really reflect the values of the company and I couldn't be happier with everything that I have seen. Their true colors are shining brightly not only with how they treat us consumers but in how their employees seem to be treated as well. Their workers remain bright and cheerful - just something little but it certainly helps with so much fear. Thank you for all that you guys are doing and continue to do for our community! A few things to note: - If the line looks long, don't be scared. They are so efficient - it always moves quickly. - To help reduce COVID19 from spreading even more and to protect their workers if you bring your own bag you will need to bag your own groceries. Who's doesn't love TJ's? This store is less than 10 years old and still looks new. The parking lot can get a nuts around lunch time but I suspect that it's the same almost anywhere there's restaurants nearby. People are friendly and helpful for whatever you're looking for. I stopped going to TJ'a a while ago because they stopped labeling gluten free products on the shelves which made shopping difficult and longer than it already is. ONE STOP FOR ALL THE GOOD FOOD & DRINKS! Its pretty easy to locate as Google Maps will take you right to the location however as my fellow Yelpers mentioned that parking can be bit clustered at times. It is located next to Michaels and several other small businesses, so there is ample amount of parking spaces available. Store is kept clean and pretty organized. All the staff members working here are super friendly and helpful. As many times I have been to this store, there is one staff member walking around the store and making sure that he/she is available if anyone needs help. I buy produce from here since it is fresh and at a reasonable cost. I went to TJ's but under estimated how much stuff I was gonna end up leaving with. I had my baby with me in the stroller so I couldn't use a cart. I shoved everything under the stroller but couldn't carry them out without a cart. This nice lady bagging my stuff and the cashier guy were so nice (I'm sorry I didn't catch their names) !!! They go: you are doing great but we'll get someone to put these in a cart and bring them out to you! Then another kind lady helped me put the groceries in the car!! I was like I can do it, she said "no I got it! I'll even put a seatbelt around the bad with the eggs!!! I was so touched by how wonderful these people were, helping a mom who was clearly struggling . I love Trader Joe's of my favorite grocery stores and I have to have one near wherever I live. Trader Joe's offers affordable groceries and has healthy options available as well as diet restriction food (gluten free options, vegan/vegetarian options). They started carting Miyaokos vegan butter which is the best (don't mind my misspelling) I love the prepped veggies in the refrigerator section like their broccoli and cauliflower. Their other produce is just okay but what they have prepped in bags is really great. They also sell name brand products under their Trader Joe's brand cheaper then you find the name brand in other stores. They also have nuts and other staples at really reasonable pricing. They have a great collection of frozen food, prepped veggies and pre-made foods. One complaint is they rotate products in that everyone likes and then they get discontinued which is always a bummer. This particular location, like all Trader Joe's locations can be busy and crazy but does not have a bad parking lot situation. The lot is fairly large! Also they have the child/mini sized shopping carts for kids. WARNING!! You will most likely be hit, run over. Parents let their kids block aisles, run through the store and be wandering around without them. I really wish they didn't have these carts that is my biggest complaint! read more

Since I've now moved closer to a TJ I find myself shopping here all the time. Doing some price comparison TJ is actually cheaper for some things than Ralphs or Albertsons. That was another reason why I'd not really shopped here before. I'd just assumed it was more expensive. Sometimes I find their fruit and veg arrangement a little bit difficult to find things and they don't have a huge selection but overall I'm really starting to love it. I love Trader Joe's. They are becoming more and more prevalent in Southern CA, but most of the time they in parking lots I dread spending time in, i.e., the one in Mission Viejo, the two in Long Beach I have frequented, the one in HB on Main, the one in Manhattan Beach. This one in Irvine has a large parking lot. While getting in and out sometimes is not ideal, at least there is plenty of parking and I don't feel like I want to strangle someone after I have parked. Trader Joe's is awesome for prepared foods. They have great frozen foods such as pot stickers, tamales, macarons, mochi ice cream, Indian food, Chinese food, etc. I LOVE their marinated tri-tip in the refrigerated meats section. It is so easy to throw on the grill and is just delicious. Trader Joe & I are like PB&J, wine & cheese, a dirty bum & toilet paper.. we complement one another and can't survive without the other.. seriously. But what is there to say? TJ brings the goods, I bring the dough, and together we masterfully create meals worthy of Instagram or whatever social medium that's out there. The staff here is excellent - super friendly and helpful. I have never not been asked how I am doing by a cashier (I respond with the mundane 'good,' return the question, and they NEVER fail to respond with 'well,' which is the correct response.. which I also presume is not to make me feel less educated lol). Occasionally I pick up the organic herb salad mix that's missing dill (super sad face), a Greek yogurt gone bad, or the store runs out of stock when I've got a mad craving for something, but that's the same risk you face at all grocery stores. I cannot think of a Trader Joe's that has terrible customer service. People seem to enjoy working here. This location is clean. I buy random stuff here. It's not too expensive. But of course it's not a full supermarket so there are a lot of things missing like the meat and deli area, a broad selection of produce... etc. it's pretty much a mini mart with packaged veggies and meat. When I was Vegan, I used to go here more frequently because of their vegan options. Whole Foods and Sprouts also have a good selection of Vegan Options as well but now other regular markets like Ralph's (in same plaza) have some too. Anyway, there is definitely a crowd following for Trader Joe's. Those people pretty much only shop at TJ's and frown upon Ralph's shoppers like myself. :) read more

Came to this Trader Joe's on a Friday evening around 6:00 PM, parking was kind of crazy and a little bit crowded but that is probably because so many people are going to this Trader Joe's. The store front is pretty clean and very well organized. I like the layout of the store but I wish Trader Joe's carried more items actually. If you walk to the left side when you first come in that will be the alcohol side, which they sell wine as low as $2.49!! The pasta sauce is pretty much right next to the wine section and you can get the sauce as low as $1.39!! Also if you check the back of the ingredients it is pretty nice and you can understand what is in the sauce which I do appreciate. Made a pasta night and got most of the ingredients from Trader Joe's they sell a variety of products from fresh fruits and veggies. To the right of the store you can also find pre packaged salads and things that you can buy for your lunch during your work. It is kind of nice if you are being a little lazy and you don't want to make anything. The frozen section has plenty of options that also can be made for your breakfast, lunch and dinner. To the back of the store they have a variety of milk, yogurts and drinks that you can buy and keep in the fridge at home. Check out wasn't that long since they do have soo many cashiers in each line. They use paper bags but you can also bring your own recycle bag if you would like to save the world. :) read more

This is my go-to grocery store when i'm food shopping. You definitely can't beat the prices on organics and healthy eats compared to like Whole Foods and even Sprouts. This location is located in the Woodbury Town Center next to where Staples used to be. This location does feel like the biggest location in the Irvine area though when compared to the Culver and UCI ones. Not to mention not as crowded with students stocking up to cram for that next test. The stafff is also always very friendly to help you find something or if you're wondering if something tastes any good. Note they can open practically anything for you to try if you just ask! They definitely have all you need to build a healthy well balanced diet. My favs include the Pesto Chicken Wrap with basil vinaigrette or the Chinese Chicken salad for the prepared foods. But if you're looking for more junk food type of stuff get some Trader Joe baked onion rings. They are just like funyuns except much healthier without all the artificial ingredients you can't even read . Or if you're looking for something sweet checkout the vanilla mini ice cream cones and seasonal flavor macarons! You can also checkout the demo booth which is always serving up something delicious. Please stop bagging my grocery bags so full that I can't carry them. Even if I bring 5 bags, EVERY cashier will basically only use only 2 of those bags and fill them both to the brim. I've actually had one bag filled entirely will all liquid and glass items. I don't know how many times telling management or the cashiers themselves will help this. I've even told them that I've put out my back before, not expecting the bag to be so heavy and I'm fit and young. VERY ODD that I NEVER have this issue at a big box store like Ralph's. There is something off about the training and lack of common sense here. I can't be the only one this bothers so please speak up if this bothers you as well. Went to this location for the first time today. I really like it! The aisles are wide, the items are placed neatly and prominently. Staff are really nice and helpful. One even told lil guy to find the 'coyote' which hides in a different place every single day and if he finds it, he will get a treat. He even gave lil guy a hint as to which section of the store the 'coyote' is at. Anyway, lil guy found it in record time. He got a lollipop. The one thing I couldn't find today was elbow macaroni. WEIRD. They carry a bunch of pastas just not that particular one. I need to make mac salad. Like the other reviewer said, the parking is good, well thought out, unlike the stupid District in Tustin. UGH I hate that place. I need to come to this Woodbury shopping area more often. I keep forgetting it's there. read more
