The store is clean, and the staff is always polite and respectful. We are weekly visitors to this Publix, and the deli is usually a regular stop for us. This time, we decided to try the Philly Cheesesteak, and unfortunately, it will be the last time we order this particular sub. It had absolutely no flavor. I remember when Publix used to prepare the steak on a flat-top grill, chopping it up with the onions and peppers. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Now, the onions and peppers are heated in a toaster oven or microwave and then mixed in with chopped roast beef. If you watch the preparation process, it may surprise you. We will continue shopping at Publix and visiting the deli, but we will not be ordering the cheesesteak again. Do not recommend. read more

Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. The prices were good on seasonal products and considerably higher priced than back home on the out of season produce and dry goods/shelf stable items. This was my first time having a Pub Sub and they're delicious! I heard great things but still wondered how good a supermarket sub could be. I ordered the Italian (with extra meat) online just to have it ready when I was done shopping. It was ready even though I got there a bit early that morning and the deli staff were very kind. They also don't skimp on the toppings! This Publix had a lot more ice cream options than some of the other locations. Good quality produce. The store was clean and very pleasant to be in. I go to this Publix all the time, so it's a little strange I hadn't reviewed it already! I know people in Nashville are OBSESSED with Publix, but I just think it's okay. It's bright, it's clean, it has good customer service, but it definitely doesn't have the broadest selection of products? There are certain things I buy at this store (and then other things I buy at a combination of Kroger, Fresh Market, and various international markets on Nolensville Road), but it's not full-service for me. I am such a fan of Publix! I can't even imagine a Publix not getting a 5 star review. We needed some snacks while staying nearby so I of course used Yelp to locate Publix. We were able to order sandwiches at the deli without a long wait (wow) and we walked around the store for some other items a well. While walking around 2 different workers asked us if we needed help locating anything. So friendly! We grabbed what we needed and went to cash our. The gentleman who was bagging our groceries began to walk out with us and offered to help us to our car, but we politely told him that we didn't need much help. We only had 3 bags and it would have been weird to ask for help with 3 bags when we were perfectly capable of carrying them ourselves. Usually though if you have a full cart I do recommend getting the help to your car to load up. It's so helpful if you are alone. I went here on July 27 2021 around 2:00pm. The lady who seemed to be in charge of the sub station making salads was incredibly loud and rude. I heard her yelling at a worker and she mentioned something about being latino? (I couldn't hear everything she said.) The employees behind the counter seemed scared of her. Another customer mentioned something about the woman seeming rude as well. Same with a blonde older woman running one of the checkout areas. It seemed like everyone was scared of her too. Idk what the deal was, usually everyone seems very pleasant! This isn't really a complaint from me, i'm just worried about those poor workers. Some of them looked pretty young. Shopping experience was great!!! I love the sub sandwich from this the deli. Felicia and the staff are nice and efficient. Always good I've had twice and next time I'm in town or any city that has a Publix I will try again. Grocery shopping here is always a pleasure at this location. Okay I honestly am blown away with how helpful and friendly everyone was here. The guy putting up oranges gave me his top selection. A guy in the dairy part of the store saw me struggling to find something and assisted me in finding it. The ladies walking around offering cookies made this a pleasant experience. Need to start this review by saying that I have been a big Publix fan since moving to TN and this one is close to work, however, I have had the hardest time at the deli here! Yesterday might have been my last and final attempt to get a sub there. Granted they were a little busy, so I think they guy who stepped in to help was irritated that he had to do so. I got a 6 inch sub and he literally put 2 thin slices of turkey... no joke.. 2. The bread was cut so crooked that he was trying to tear it in half pretty much mangling the thing. I ended up buying some Oscar Meyer meat to throw in there and rearranged it when I got back to work. Trying not to be mad... but I'm really disappointed. I'm not sure how Publix hires or trains their employees to be so stinking friendly all the time, but other grocery chains need to take note. Seriously - its like the heads of Kroger/Harris Teeter, etc need to go undercover in a stealth operation where they pretend to want to be a bag boy then take that secret back with them to their respective chains. Is it free red bull in the breakroom? Plenty of breaks? A flogging if they stop smiling? The Maryland Farms Publix does not disappoint. On a recent trip for a few bottles of tonic water, I found myself strolling through the aisles picking up pantry staples available on the infamous (okay maybe not...) 2-4-1 specials. (you only have to buy one - its just half price) Hubs was on a man-date so I stopped by the sushi area for my dinner and the sushi chef was extremely friendly and overzealous about making sure I had what I wanted. My garden roll was delish! After a short wait in line to check out a young lady insisted on walking my groceries out for me on a blustery drizzly day and made polite chit chat the entire way. Even though the Publix may be a little pricier than Kroger or Wal-mart shopping here really does rock - so clean, so bright, so organized. Also, my coupon savvy friend informed me they take ANY competitors coupons and you are allowed to use one store and one manufacturers coupon per item, even if its on sale. This Publix has a decent variety of Kosher products available, including several types of matza, blintzes, latke mixes, soups, etc. Just an FYI for anyone searching for these products and not wanting to go up to the West Side. Staff are friendly as in every Publix, confirmed on the phone that the products I was searching for were available before I made the drive over. Never a fan of Publix prices vs. Aldi or K & S Market, but of course next time I need latkes or blintzes, I will stroll down here! read more

WE ARE SO NOT IN GEORGIA ANYMORE! In Georgia, Publix is my "go to" spot for a quick snack. So naturally when I needed to grab something before hitting the road, I chose this Brentwood location.. This store appeared dated but was well stocked and had everything we needed today. I went to the soup bar in search of my favorite soup only to discover that the "vegetables only" soup in Tennessee actually contains bits of beef. What's up with that? This was not really a problem for me but is important for the vegetarians to know. Just know that the soup in your local store might be a little different from the one you buy in another state although it is the same store. Also, those Mardi Gras wings that I love had a little Tennessee bite to them. They weren't too spicy, just spicy enough to let me know that I was no longer in Georgia. Normally, self check-out is supposed to be efficient but that was not the case today. There were a couple of annoying glitches that interfered with our ability to just get it done and go. However, an employee was immediately available to assist us in completing our purchase. Just to note: I am a fan of actual cashiers ringing up my purchase whenever possible. read more

Ok I have to admit I never thought I would give a grocery store 5 stars but I have to for this location. I have stopped into this location after work about once a week for this last 6 weeks and they are very consistent. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The "ready to take" food section is always well stocked and fresh. The produce section is not huge but has a great variety. The sushi and meat department is clean and well stocked. If you don't see something you want, they will get it for you. I was looking for a piece of fresh tuna. The gentlemen behind the counter cut and got me exactly what I wanted. He was friendly and asked if I wanted anything else. It was like having a personal butcher. The checkout is always fast. They have won my business. read more

This is my favorite Publix store in the Brentwood / Franklin. The people are always so super friendly and the layout of the store is simple making a quick trip in and out before heading to work. I work nearby and we regularly walk over and visit the deli for a good alternative to Subway or if you want some quick Chinese or Italian food. In addition the guy who prepares their sushi is always making new batches so it is always very fresh and if you don't see what you want in there he will make it up for you while you wait. read more

Can't believe I'm writing a review of a grocery but when you have exceptional product and service ya gotta say something. As a single guy this place is simple with an excellent selection. Bullet points for me in no particular order. Don't know where they get these people that work there but their friendliness is exceptional. Couldn't say enough about them. Not sure what mind control brainwashing technique they use but it works Not damn keychain bullshit barcode crap for a discount. Pay what's on the price tag on the shelf No obstacle course of discount crap cluttering up the store. This Publix used to be great for shopping, but recently this store has been under constant rearrangement. Items are no longer arranged in a manner that makes sense. Example 1: individual lemons and limes were on the opposite side of the produce department. Example 2: molasses (along with corn syrup) near the pancake syrup, while agave nectar and other alternative sweeteners were with the sugar. Example 3: for no apparent reason the greek yogurt flavors were rearranged (minor, but annoying nonetheless) Example 4: raw frozen chicken products are located under a fully cooked sign in the frozen aisle. This is just sampling of the issues I have had recently. The end result is trips to the grocery store taking twice as long as they should due to items not being where they were located a few weeks ago. read more

Love this store and all the personnel working at this site. They always ask, "did you find what your were looking for?" or if I ask someone where a product is, they not only tell me but walk me to the item. Love the Pharmacy, especially Patrick, the Pharmacist. He is so helpful and knowledgeable. He knows who we are if we need to call him. He has a great memory too. Very fond of Stephanie in the Bakery and the Bakery Mgr who is very accommodating. All the ladies who work in the Bakery are super. Although, we miss Anita who worked int he deli for years, you have replaced her with a couple of very good deli workers. From the Fish Dept. Mgr. to the Cheese man, Rich (sorry, don't know his last name) but he is wonderful and always knows where something is at. Reasgar at the register is also a plus. I have never had worse service in a grocery store in my life. I was the only customer at the deli while FIVE people worked behind the counter. I could not get anyone to wait on me so I finaly walked off. I have been trading here for years and this is not the only time I have had this happen here.
