Parking is horrid!!! There are parking spaces available, but the poor design of the parking lot can make it a disaster coming here. Once you have found a spot the store inside is pretty pleasant. The aisles are wide and organized is decent. The staff is friendly and always happy to answer questions.

So we made a quick stop to pick up strawberries and was looking for their fall canvas bag. There were none out but that didn't stop my mom from asking one of the associates. It was Tracy that offered to ask when the next shipment was to arrive. To our surprise she came back asking what colors she wanted. She escorted us to a different part of the store and brought out all the color options. She went in for one and left with three. It's people like Tracy who are bringing smiles to faces and that totally made our day! One was a gift for Dr. Lee.

This Trader Joe's location has large spacious aisles and great selection. It also had more options on the shelves than other locations. I had questions about some of the products and was able to find assistance quickly. Staff not only answered my questions but gave me information about other products I might like to try. They had a large selection of prepared soups and salads, as well as some complete dinners on display. Garden fresh produce was available. Their beer and wine section was fully stocked as always. The frozen section was complete and I was able to find items missing from other Trader Joe's. Very helpful staff located throughout the store. Plenty of parking in a large lot with an entry on Huntington drive as well as San Gabriel Boulevard.

Trader Joe's is located in Pasadena. It's a small grocery market but has all the necessary food you need. Prices seem fair. Staff were affable. Overall, it's a nice grocery store.

I was in Pasadena, so I went to the nearest Trader Joe's to do some shopping for Thanksgiving dinner. I am a regular customer at trader Joe's but it was my first time to go to this branch. The lay out looked nice and almost standardized in some aisles same as other branches. If you wanted to shop at the last moment like I did, you would find wide selection of pies. The natural young Turkey is for 1.99 /lb They have also Turkey breast tenderloin. I also bought cranberry sauce, potatoes and green beans. I love trader Joe's apple cider, and I bought also spiced chai. There are wide variety of wine to choose from. In addition to some vegan collection. Don't forget to buy some flowers or poinsettia. I found many new beauty products which looked amazing and of course I bought some. For sure I will shop at this branch again!

Bought some bad milk rm this location?

Yes, one time. Their milk seems to have shorter shelf life than some larger grocery chains. Perhaps their small stores with limited truck unloading space means the milk is exposed to higher temperatures for a longer period of time. I have seen this…

Dear Pasadena Public Health Department Environmental Health Division,…read more I am writing to formally report a serious health code violation and unsanitary conditions observed at Ralphs Grocery Store, located at 160 N. Lake Ave., Pasadena, CA 91101. Incident Details * Date of Observation: Monday, July 27, 2026 * Time of Observation: Approximately 3:00 PM * Location Inside Store: Self-serve bagel and bread display cabinet Description of the Violation The self-serve bagel and bread display case was teeming with flies. Numerous insects were actively flying inside the cabinet and crawling directly all over the uncovered food products. I have captured clear video evidence documenting this infestation, which is available upon request for your investigation. Public Health Risks and Concerns This environment poses an immediate and severe health risk to consumers for several critical reasons: * Pathogen Transmission: Flies carry over 100 dangerous pathogens. They easily transfer hazardous bacteria such as Salmonella, E. coli, Listeria, and Shigella from external waste directly onto the food surfaces. * Direct Contamination: Because flies liquefy solid food, they regurgitate digestive enzymes and defecate on the bakery items. This leaves live bacteria and viruses behind. * Ready-to-Eat Hazards: These items are sold as ready-to-eat foods. Consumers eat them without cooking or heating them first, meaning there is no kill-step to destroy the transferred pathogens. This creates a high probability of foodborne illness. * Prolonged Exposure: The enclosed nature of the display cabinet traps the flies inside, leading to a high concentration of continuous contamination on the food. This active infestation indicates a critical failure in store sanitation, inadequate pest control management, and a clear violation of California retail food safety codes. Please initiate a health inspection of this facility as soon as possible to address this hazard and protect the public. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

But the elderly can't do that so it's why the lines are so long. Now here is the kicker. At the end of the checking line is a manager ...sometimes 2. A man and a woman. They are observing the long lines...counting something...just observing. It would help if THEY just go to the end of a long line and start bagging! See, that would be cool! You see you guys have not scheduled any baggers and the lines are so long they are down the aisles .. and you are just standing there? Of course they may say, well that's not my job. But that's the mentality that keeps things moving slow. It would be so nice if people just did what it takes to keep things moving. Either hire enough people OR get in there and start bagging! I remember back in the days there was a bagger at the end of each checkout aisle. A bagger and a casher! Those days are gone ...and most stores now see if they can get away with overworking the checker! Next thing you know they install self check outs! Rather than hire people and keep a system of people working they just get rid of people and have 1 person observing (like these managers were doing). What a world we are moving towards. But anyways that's what you see. I wish they would just hire bag boys and go back to the good ol days.

Then a staffer came out, saying that my order had been given to someone else. Mistakes happen, but that means they didn't check the code OR the car description on the order. Funny, they always checked MY details. It gets worse: I was then expected to wait until the other person returned with my groceries. Who would do this? I asked for a refund and left. Any professional store would have apologized and offered to quickly re-shop the order while I waited. Not this Vons! I called back and spoke with the manager on duty, who treated the situation very casually, completely unbothered. So I'm finished dealing with Vons for pick-up and delivery. I've moved my business to the Ralph's on Lake, where they are - so far - quick, professional and friendly with the pick-up service. Sad. Another time, the pizza stand was completely empty and I saw numerous packaged pizza doughs that looked like they had been out and over proofing for wayy too long! It wasn't refrigerated, and when I asked what happened, they said the burner broke down. If that's the case , you need to refrigerate the dough or hire someone that cares enough to handle food properly there. The cashiers never smile, don't make eye contact, and never greet you. They all look miserable ALL THE TIME! One time a cashier filled up one of my bags with really heavy groceries then told me to put it in the cart. I tried to pick it up and almost got a hernia ,and so I told him it's too heavy and I can't pick it up, and he just ignored me. He didn't try to put it in the cart himself because even he couldn't (it was so heavy). He didn't have the common sense or decency to even try emptying some of it into another bag . He just stood there, said nothing. (I ended up doing that myself) I tried to cut some slack for these guys, and give them the benefit of the doubt, and I've never once been rude to anyone there (even when I felt I had every right) I still kept quiet.
