One of my favorite stores for grocery shopping because they've got organic everything! I can find a lot of things here that I can't find anywhere else. The vegetables and fruits are fresh. I love their cookie butter spread and almond butter cookies. They also have some of the best dips ever! There are a good amount of vegan items too. With the store layout, it is really easy to find whatever I need. Prices here are completely worth it. As for customer service, the employees have always been nice and welcoming. They passed out free water bottles on my last trip because it was hot outside. The only problem is with that one employee at the register when we were checking out. She kept talking to her coworker about random stuff and not really doing her job as a cashier. She did not say anything to us at all and was being stingy with the plastic bags. read more

Shopping in Pasadena, California... This might be the last time I bring goodies home for my clerk. She's leaving for a higher paying job at our hospital as an aide. I'm really sad because she's so organized and efficient. However, I realize that she has 3 daughters, a husband, and daily expenses... uhg... So, I went to Trader Joe's to get some gifts for my clerk since there's no Trader Joe's in Hawaii. She likes the Baton Cookies. I'll throw in my mom's favorite towel, Judy C.'s favorite pasta, and my nieces' favorite cookies! I'll put the goods in a nice, colorful, useful tote bag and leave it on her desk! The entrance of this Pasadena location of Trader Joe's is on a one way street. GPS correctly led me around the block! The free parking lot is shared with other businesses such as as CVS Pharmacy. There's a circular traffic pattern. Inside the store, check out the 99 cents greeting cards, the free samples, the fresh flowers and produce, and the convenient restroom! Love love this Trader Joe's! Everytime I come I'm able to snag a really good parking spot, because they have such a large lot! The workers are always friendly and more than willing to help. Trader Joe's employees are elite in general, but this location is always too notch. I came in here in a busy Friday afternoon and was in and out in maybe 20 minutes? I had bought a few cases of water and had my son with my so it was going to be a mission to get my groceries to the car. Without hesitation the friendly cashier pulls aside a coworker and tells him to help me to my car I thought that was the sweetest thing ever! I told her I was ok I puke figure it out and she insisted. My day was made. I can always rely on Trader Joe's for some eccentrically yummy snacks, affordable body care and outstanding service. I went to buy Easter lily plant and eggs on a Saturday afternoon in April. They had lots of Easter lily plants $6.99 so I bought one. It wasn't too bad inside since everyone was looking so the lines was short. I also bought dozen eggs $2.49 which cheap compared to other markets. Also it was fun browsing at spring products. The frozen section had more Korean products which was nice to see. I forgot to take photos since I was busy looking. They are open on Easter 8-4pm. read more

Amazing store ever!! We have been visiting this grocery store frequently since 10 years ago we moved to this neighborhood; last Tuesday me and my minor child encountered a racist woman in the parking lot who scolded my 8 years old boy "asshole" and also tried to attack us in the store, the store helped us to call the police immediately but that old woman with hot pink blouse ran away though I tried to chase her and asked her to stay for the police arrival. (Please see photo attached). The police did ask me to call them back if I see that woman again in the future. The store employee told me that she was not a frequent client and they have never seen her before (they know me as a loyal frequent customer). Last Thursday I received Trader Joe's headquarters email and phone call regarding this attack incident, and asked if they can send my son a swag bag with a gift card, oh my god our hearts are melting... you are the best and kindest grocery store that we have been loving and would keep loving ever and forever! Thank you Trader Joe's!! Be careful of this old woman (55-65 years old) with a glass if you are a young mother with a minor in the neighborhood. read more

I love Trader Joe's so so so much (is that enough "so's"?). Disclaimer: before I actually ever stepped foot in here, I thought it would just be a gimmicky and overpriced store - but I was completely wrong. They sell their own brands at completely fair prices. Their frozen foods, desserts, and snacks are probably some of their best items. Just tried the birria recently and made quesabirria tacos out of them (so delish!), and know their orange chicken is amazing too. Can't wait to try other renowned items like the spanakopita, indian curries & samosas, etc. I also love coming here when i'm in the mood for a charcuterie board because they sell a bunch of different cheeses - from sweet to savory, and they're all great quality and great tasting. Love the pre-packaged deli meats & smoked salmon selection as well. TJ's is stellar about coming out with new items to entice you back into the store. They keep up with seasonal goods and always have something unique to find and/or try. In addition, employees are also always very friendly and welcoming. Alway love tj's figs - the variteties the price ... the packaging - has to be in single layer so the stem will not poke the skin - the ripeness - if they can sell very ripe figs not just ripe it'll be very sweet & very fragrant - they can sell for higher price because it's at it's peak. Fragrant roses please - it's plastic without the fragrance. Please carry thornless yellow sweetest raspberry - any size container - not seeds sweetest orange trees - highest quality - any price budding most fragrant peony plants - any price really need belgium 90% & up dark chocolate - just little squares or brownies - there was one in beverly hills but they were vegan & not belgium or 90% & up. This is my favorite Trader Joes because I can find everything I need here. The staff is super friendly and welcoming - everyone is always in a good mood and ready to help. If you don't see something you need on the shelf, ask someone and they'll be more than happy to check in the back and they usually do have stock in the back. Visited Trader Joe's on a weekend morning. I thoroughly enjoyed this visit as there was no line to enter, and their team was prepared for any incoming customers with sanitized shopping carts. Limited amount of shoppers who were very mindful of maintaining social distancing protocols. Love so many of their products, especially their cheese and wine selection. Haven't been here for a while and decided to explore with my 7 year old son. We arrived around 8:45 and this is a great time to visit, as it can get crowded later in the day. Social distancing is enforced here, and there is a staff worker outside to retrict the flow of customers entering the store. Cashiers also ensure that customers stand back while groceries are checked out. The selection and prices are pretty good, particularly if you're looking for dairy products. I am comparing prices against Vons, and I noticed that the store brand for Trader Joe's was at least 50 cents less for pasture fed whole milk. I've been anxious to try some goat milk and was able to score a quart for 3.49 in contrast to 5.49 at Vons (albeit the latter was the Meyerberg brand). Prices and selection for produce (fruits/vegetables) is not quite as competitive to the big box markets but still very good quality. I recommend paying a visit here, especially if you're looking for more esoteric snacks or dairy items. read more

We come for fruit and vegetables and other things like organic and wholesome items. This Trader Joe's use to be at the corner of Rosemead and Huntington Drive. It's a newer store and I always find everything that I'm looking for at reasonable prices!! My only complaint is accessing the parking lot, it's almost impossible sometimes to get in the parking lot coming from Huntington drive turning into San Gabriel!! Eek you would think a Trader Joe's near San Marino would be nice but no this one needs work. Brand new with no character, truly bland, and they need to work in distancing, I left my cart when the lines were into to the isles... management should check out the west side. Arrows, attendants directing traffic is needed here. I did not feel safe and won't return. read more

I just had a bad experience with some cashier or cashier supervisor who is not friendly and kind like all the other employees at Trader Joe's. My little boy just wanted to hand a couple of items to the cashier and the person refused and made me immediately take the boy out of the cart saying there was a line when in reality there was 1 person behind us and for my son to hand the cashier a couple of items would have taken 10 seconds. Just not a nice person. Not sure why she had a chip on her should. My son was so happy to be shopping but the experience took a sad turn at the end for no good reason. read more

Place is great. I visit one to two times a month and so far the staff at check out have been awesome except for a bagger on 3/23 at around 7 pm that was helping out Victoria T. Victor was very courteous. The bagger on the other hand with a light stubble beard was unfriendly and doesn't say a word to anyone. Doesn't smile or make eye contact with anyone. Seems like he doesn't want to be there and gives off a bad vibe. read more

Service: I am giving this store a 2 star because of the service at check out. 2 girls were busy chatting as I walked up to check out. They kept on chatting as the other girl bagged my groceries. She placed the bananas and strawberries to the bottom of the bag and then followed by a watermelon and yogurts. I asked politely if she can help me out the bananas and strawberries on top and she responded with a "sure", she takes out the fruits, placed them on the counter and walks away! I just took the bag and finished bagging myself in which I don't mind, but the attitude was horrible! I asked politely. I really hope TJ manager will read this and train their employees better on bagging. I really hate to go home with bruised bananas and fruits. It's really annoying. read more

If you think Trader Joe's employees are normally super helpful and cheerful, try visiting this location at 8am! They're even more cheerful! I drag myself here sometimes before work right when they ring the bell to open and all the employees greet ya nicely (yes even on dreadful Monday's at 8am). The items are trader joes are unique and I always walk out with something new to try. I wish they had a larger selection of ready-to-eat foods you could grab for breakfast or lunch. Trader Joe's is using Canola aka Rapeseed oil in more and more of its products. Canola aka Rapeseed oil is banned from food products in Europe. It is NOT HEART HEALTHY, quite the contrary. It contributes to heart disease. i've been told by TJ employees that other people have have mentioned they are not happy about this I've called TJs and they are aware of this however have done nothing but add more and more of this to more products. Hopefully everyone will NOT purchase these products until this UNHEALTHY oil is replaced. I love TJs and do most of my shopping the there. I'm disappointed and buy less and less at TJs read more

I got 2 lunch boxes and asked for some plastic forks. She grabbed them from next cashier then threw 1 into my bag, I asked 1 more she threw another one into my bag and turned away. I think you should find other jobs suitable for you or you should work in the warehouse. I like most people working in this location. Many of TJs customees seem to buy foods to demonstrate that they are health-conscious or seem to flaunt their great taste in specialty food items by placing them conspicuously, as to not appear uncultured in their food choices. I myself go for the staples: milk, eggs, cheese, pizza, burritos, chips, butter, and several of the pre-fab frozen enttees. I also, on occasion, feel bougie and buy ghee, truffle oil, manchego and of course....booze! Maybe you're whipping up a host of new recipes, on track to be the next Julia Child. Or maybe you just feel like making some great food. Whatever the reason, TJs has a great variety of specialty food and stocks everything from steak, shrimp, and squab to stilton, cinnamon, and scones.
