First time coming and this place is massive. I basically came i saw they sold sticky toffee pudding. They have their produce stacked nicely and i guess they are mostly all organic. They have selections you can find at other grocery stores like abertsons. I noticed they sell things in bulk and they have plenty of stations so you can come for lunch. They have the salad station, olive bar, hot foods with asian food. Soo many things. There is even a dining area if you plan to eat there. I saw they sold mila dumplings that ive see online. Pretty interesting. Will come again to explore. They even have amazon pick up and drop off next to the escalators. Parking is on the bellevue side next to the storage. read more

If I could give 0 zero stars for the customer service at this store, I would! No one is around if you need help on any of the isles, the pizza lady from today had the worst attitude and made a cheese pizza that had 5% cheese on it and half unbaked (who's hiring the pizza workers???) It went straight to the trash, and never will I buy pizza from here again. Another time, the pizza stand was completely empty and I saw numerous packaged pizza doughs that looked like they had been out and over proofing for wayy too long! It wasn't refrigerated, and when I asked what happened, they said the burner broke down. If that's the case , you need to refrigerate the dough or hire someone that cares enough to handle food properly there. The cashiers never smile, don't make eye contact, and never greet you. They all look miserable ALL THE TIME! One time a cashier filled up one of my bags with really heavy groceries then told me to put it in the cart. I tried to pick it up and almost got a hernia ,and so I told him it's too heavy and I can't pick it up, and he just ignored me. He didn't try to put it in the cart himself because even he couldn't (it was so heavy). He didn't have the common sense or decency to even try emptying some of it into another bag . He just stood there, said nothing. (I ended up doing that myself) I tried to cut some slack for these guys, and give them the benefit of the doubt, and I've never once been rude to anyone there (even when I felt I had every right) I still kept quiet. However, the consistency of the horrendous customer service skills is disgraceful and disgusting. Where are the managers? Who is on the hiring committee? Why aren't any of these people getting proper training? Where is quality control? It's sad that standards are so low at this location that you treat your long time loyal customers this bad. Truly a shame. If I was a health inspector, I'd be shutting down your pizza center first, then I'd fire every single cashier there and train proper human beings to work with human beings. read more

Been shopping at this location for 10 years and am noticing quality and freshness issues since Amazon took over. Got violent food poisoning last night so I'm finally saying something. We bought 365 brand prepackaged ground beef and 30 mins after eating became violently sick for hours, almost went to the hospital. We cooked it in a sauce for 3 hours so undercooking wasn't the issue. Last week we got yogurts that were very moldy too. Cookies, pastries and sushi rice are often inedibly dry and old. Expired items on the shelves. Produce is often going bad. Seafood often smells of ammonia. Freshness is an increasing issue which is hard to justify at the prices. The Hastings Ranch location is doing it much better. But I will say the staff is always kind and helpful. read more

I purchased a bag of lemons from Whole Foods on Saturday, and by Wednesday morning, most of the lemons were already covered in mold. They were stored properly at home, so I was really surprised by how quickly they spoiled. Based on the amount of mold, it seems like some of the fruit may have already been compromised when I bought it. This was disappointing, especially given the premium prices at Whole Foods. I expect better quality and fresher produce. I hope the store takes a closer look at its citrus inventory and quality control. read more

My favorite Whole Foods due to the seafood department! They do $1 oyster Fridays with prime membership and even shuck them for you. Unbelievable deal, quality of oysters, rotating varieties and service, I really appreciate the workers. They only start shucking when you show up in person, so plan accordingly. Parking is underground and the first level is always congested, many times the elevators are all functional so hop on your chevro-legs and take the stairs for faster in and out. read more

Amazon drop offs are always excellent, multi floor parking garage, and associates are helpful should you need help. I came in for this week's family lunch trays. 4 pieces of cooked salmon, sweet potatoes, and green beans were this week's meal prep for $40. You get 4 proteins + 2 sides. If you'd prefer to meal prep yourself, which is cheaper, you can get all the freshest produce, herbs, staples you need inside. But if time is valuable for you too, their chefs prepared stations for prepared food, bakery, pressed juice, deli, bakery, hot meals do make dinner and weekly prep less overwhelming. I suffer from decision fatigue and analysis paralysis. This is an easy fix and my focus can move on to the next task. Highly recommend. And when I think about the time I saved prepping meals, cooking, than cleaning; sometimes options like prepared meals comes in clutch. Nothing goes to waste. My meals for the week are set. The juice line is incredibly slow, I've had multiple items priced incorrectly, and though there is the occasional friendly, knowledgeable staff, 3 out of 4 times the people have no idea where anything is. They don't sell cheap ice cream here and you know all of it will be made by smaller ice cream companies that include quality ingredients. The seating area is big and nice. I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk - they have organic agave for self serve and it was perfect for me to adjust the sweetness of my drink. The table has many condiments even Braggs liquid amino! I love the fact that they have Mama Chia which is hard to find in other stores. The bakery is well stocked, even has vegan croissants. i am consistently racially profiled at this location. a few months ago, one of the security guards stopped me, as i was paying for my groceries and asked to search my bag (which is an illegal search.) he accused me of stealing diapers. when i allowed him to look into my bag, there were no diapers and he just walked away. didn't even apologize for embarrassing me. two days ago, i went into this location with my full afro and a beautiful dress. a manager with neck tattoos and a Hispanic lady at the juice bar decided to have the security follow me around the store for absolutely no reason! they were trying to do it on the down low but i noticed! i noticed the security following me and hanging out in the chicken section as i had told the juice bar lady that i would be right back and i was going to wait on the chicken upstairs. these idiots thought i was talking about the frozen chicken when i was referring to the hot foods bar chicken. they were out of the chicken legs but told me that it would be ready in 20min so i went down stairs to order my smoothie while i waited for the chicken and was racially profiled for doing so i guess. the juice bar lady also questioned me as to why i was asking for ice when I purchased a smoothie. I ended up buying water and a few other items. also, it was 98 degrees outside and we were in a heat wave. like duhh lady! but i don't have to explain myself to these people. I feel like they were looking for any reason to follow me around the store. it was all because i was black with an afro but I am not dumb. this is like the forth time this has happened to me as this pathetic excuse of a grocery store. i will not be returning to this blatantly racist location. read more

When I go, the produce section is meek and/or has expired veggies. The variety is very limited as well. The hot bar used to have many fresh options but now, everything looks stale. Hostility and Customer Loathing. I am a local resident and do my best to support Whole Foods Market. I truly believe in supporting local employment and superior product choice in the neighborhood. But the self-checkout manager and customer facilitator literally berated me for tidying up a shopping basket abandoned by a prior customer at the scanning machine next to mine. The Whole Foods cashier in the shopping cart line a few feet away yelled out to his colleague, "Welcome to my world. Customers are awful." The Whole Foods self-check out facilitator then literally gazed off to the side and refused to acknowledge me or any other human in the store, once she had finished her own angry diatribe about customers. I always buy my Mother's Day flowers at wholefoods. The tulips are always beautiful. My mom's favorite flower is a yellow tulip. I wake up super early and head over to wholefoods, no particular location and I pick up 7 bouquets of yellow tulips and I tip well and ask for them to be wrapped. This year I came to arroyo and it is such an unhappy array of tulips this year, with most looking dead and withered. I still picked up whatever I could to make my mom an arrangement and honestly it was the worst arrangement of flowers I'm probably ever giving her. I had to kindly ask if they could fix them because they looked so bad and it was like she threw them in the paper and crumpled it and the flowers had no symmetry at all. There was no line and no one after or ahead of me. I'm headed to Glendale to see if I can find better tulips and maybe someone could help me fix my flowers. I know it's a grocery store, but every year they have been marvelous and if I knew it would look so bad I would have gone to a florist and paid more, I guess I'm just bummed out. read more

I love the service here. It's always so clean. Most staff are very friendly. But, don't get the coffee there. OMG, I've never had a coffee this horrible ever. It taste so old and it seems like it's been sitting in the container for more than a week. You can tell when it's old and you have to continue pouring half and half and it's still look dark brown. Service: Overall, generous and kind staff members. Again, expected of a worker at a grocery store. They are really consistent and haven't had a run-in since. Food: Depending on what you're seeking, it can be said that the food is either meeting your standards or not. Come to this market for a wide variety of natural and organic foods for meals or to prepare for later (due to the market you may be surprised about the price to buy healthy food). Most of their hot bar and cold bar foods are just as appealing as others. I get the Strawberry Almond Smoothie because it has a nostalgic taste. This whole food market is ok but they can improve so much on their salad bar and hot bar. I was there on Sunday morning, salad did not look fresh but old. I usually go to Bristol Farms or Whole Foods market on La Cienega for my salad craving and this is why. Parking can be challenging and some what dangerous when you drive up from subterranean parking to the ground level. I was scared a couple of times when suv was speeding down on the narrow parking way as I was trying to exit. This is not my first choice for the Whole Foods market. Number one is the one in Playa Vista, then La Cienega, this one is when I am visiting Pasadena. Hope they can hire someone else to manage the salad bar. I had really high expectations for Salt & Straw, but my experience was honestly disappointing. I ordered the salted malted chocolate chip cookie dough, which sounded amazing on paper, but it just didn't deliver. The flavor was oddly unbalanced. I fully blame Tyler. The salt completely overpowered everything else, and instead of enhancing the chocolate, it made the whole thing taste harsh and kind of artificial. I can't stand Tyler it's his terrible creation. I fully believe he deserves to be stoned. The texture wasn't great either. The cookie dough pieces were sparse and felt dry, not soft or rich like you'd expect. For something that's supposed to be a premium ice cream, it tasted more like a weird experiment than a well-crafted dessert. On top of that, it's pretty expensive for what you get Tyler is tweaking with his pricing, which makes the letdown even worse. If I'm paying that much, I expect something that actually tastes good--not something I struggle to finish. Overall, it felt overhyped and not worth the price. I hate you Tyler. This Whole Foods has a pretty nice parking garage, and the store itself is big. The staff is nice, and better than some other stores. The cashiers- I wouldn't say they went out of their way to be kind, but they weren't exactly rude either. Food: 5/5 Sheesh, now I know why the charge the big bucks. Their Mac and cheese could be the best I've ever had! The green beans were pretty fresh and crisp, and the fish + chimichurri chicken were absolutely fantastic. The hot bar was cafeteria style, and they definitely had so many options to choose from. Soups, nachos, salads, Indian food etc. Price: 4/5 It's $11.99 per pound, and that thing adds up and quickly! I didn't get much food, (i am a light eater anyways) and I paid $15. Plus a drink=$20.00 which isn't bad for Whole Foods, right? Haha. All around: 4/5 I'll go again. I can say Whole Foods is my go to top grocery store due to the hot foods section always being readily convenient for me! I love the hot veggies they have ready for us! This is my 4th year ordering Thanksgiving dinner from Whole Foods. Ordering on their website is always easy. Although you'd think it might be expensive, with the cost of goods nowadays, ordering a premade meal is probably more economical - or at least comparable. We ordered a traditional dinner for 4. If cake with a med. sized turkey, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. It wasn't the canned slop cranberry sauce. It was a cran orange and it's so good! The turkey comes shrink wrapped and cooked. Everything is vacuum sealed. The quality of the food is outstanding. In addition, I ordered an extra stuffing, extra mushroom gravy, and a seafood trio. Total cost was around $200. Well worth it for an outstanding meal without the days of kitchen labor. Now that Thanksgivings over, I cook. I debone the turkey to make a bone broth. This year, I'm going to make turkey rice soup (okayu/jook) with the broth and rice, Then, I'll use the turkey and broth to make mole. I'm going to make turkey salad and turkey pot pies. We will have food for well over a week. Pickup was fast. I gave them my name and they pulled my order. Service was great and friendly - even though they were clearly slammed with orders. I went in early on Christmas Eve buy a small live Christmas tree, of which they had in plentitude a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately they were out of the live trees but the store was filled with small artificial trees covered in lights to decorate the store. Unfortunately again, the store manager "Javi" had no personality and operates like an NPC and was unwilling to even consider the idea of selling me one of these small trees even though they probably had at least 75 in the store. We wanted to this local and what they offer for their hot bar. Needless to say we were disappointed. The food was not available until almost past 11:20ish and not what we expected, compared to Glendale location. They do offered different type of "ugh" fish, that was not to our liking! Too fishy and doesn't taste good at all! They have some Indian type of food, but taste less and room temperature! The good news, we're very surprised how big this location, it's 2 floors and the market are plenty stocked.
