This is a definitely must come visit grocery store for every week. The plaza is easy to get parking and no need worry about parking like the TJ in Castro Valley. Even though it seem little far from San Leandro, but it's worth to stop by here, because after shop this store, I also can visit Asian grocery store that happen to be close by. The staff are nice and friendly here. They also practice social distancing and clean the cart for customers. The store always got re-stock fast, so I always able to get what I want from my list. read more

Having regular Accupressure just up the road from this location it's become my regular and where they do have a good selection they don't always have everything I want versus the Livermore store. There's still all the fresh produce I come here for though (my go-to for Delicata Squash when it's in season) and since they moved location the parking situation is so much better! One thing I wish they would bring back is the British Crumpets. How have I never reviewed Trader Joe's?!! I love grocery shopping here and am here at least twice a week. Prices are great, produce and meats are fresh, employees are all friendly plus there's always new products to browse. Pumpkin season is my favorite time of year! I have to restrain myself from buying all the treats. Pumpkin Spice coffee, ice cream, pies, waffles, bagel, rolls, cream cheese and the list goes on!! What can I say. I'm a Trader Joe Superfan!! We tried their salads, and they gave us forks. Quick service and ambience was friendly and even some customers were throwing jokes which made the whole crew and customers left. Restroom was clean. They had double chocolate and you dessert bowls, and I thought it was good. I discovered they have a brand you double chocolate croissant. I'll have to try it. Solid Trader Joes. People there are very helpful and they have a ton of people around to help out. They were out of several things I wanted specifically cheeses. That was kind of a bummer. This is my go to location to pickup key items I can't get anywhere else but Trader Joe's! The parking lot has never been an issue unlike many other locations I've been to, which is nice! It's always busy but you can always find a spot in the lot. The location is standard size and caries just about anything you need. I've only come across one item one time that wasn't in stock and it happened to be that someone purchased the complete stock of that one item less than an hour from when I got there! It's a little sucky that one person is allowed to clear all inventory leaving none for anyone else until the next shipment arrives however the people at the store were really nice and took my name to try to hold one when the next shipment arrived for me. It's nice that they cared enough to offer. I wish there were more locations all over! read more

This is my go to grocery store! They have the best customer service, everyone is so nice and willing to help you find something. There have been a number of times when the cashier had voluntarily gotten me a vegetable that looks better, without me even asking. This location does get busy on weekend and after 3-4pm, but when you do go early the shelves are always full stocked and the store is incredibly clean. I'm always excited to try the new food items that they have, Will continue to come here weekly! read more

Quick take: My palate wakes up everytime I walk into TJ's. It's really difficult to walk out of here only using one shopping tote bag. How do I know this? On numerous occasions I try to keep my shopping to a minimum by only bringing in one bag. This method does not work. Lol Just be real and bring two or more bags. Ever since I started shopping at Trader Joe's in college, it's always been on the top of my list for grocery shopping. Friendly employees, unique selection of items, decent pricing. Sign me up! When I moved to Tri-valley area for work, I was delighted to find out that my place isn't too far from one. I prefer to go early in the morning when the store just opens (or late at night before they close) so there aren't too many people/I don't have to wait in line to get into the store. Due to covid, they also sanitize their carts and only let a certain amount of people in store for precautions. This location is much less crowded than its neighbor store in Alameda (there are always a ton of people at that location, which results in a super long line during covid). I haven't had much trouble getting what I want here, everything is pretty well stocked (except for the seasonal ube pancake mix.. those sold out quick). Parking has never been an issue either. Note that this location opens from 8am-9pm daily, but 8-9am on WED and SUN is seniors only. read more

Thanks TJ's for keeping people safe by limiting the number of people in the store. As a result, there is almost always a line waiting to get into the store. But it usually takes no more than 15-20 minutes and it's totally worth it! Products I like include prepackaged salads, salad mix, nuts, chips and frozen food (Kung Pao Chicken, Pastry Bites with Feta and Caramelized Onion, desserts of course!). Some (fairly) new products I found are Sparkingly Watermelon Juice and Elote Tortilla Chips. Everything is good, and super reasonably price. This is my favorite weekly grocery shopping store. I am a huge fan of Trader Joe's since more than 10 years. Initially introduced to me by my uncle. They have variety of fresh produce, fruits, dairy products & bread. In the bread's section they have Indian nan too! so fresh and soft. They also have a variety of cereals, canned spices and sauces which are of very high quality and tasty. In this section my favorite is maple pecan with granola cluster cereal. Thai green curry and red curry are my favorites and a must try. I am a vegetarian and they have a variety of vegetarian frozen dishes from different cuisines which are very tasty. Best in the frozen section is the masala tiki burger patty. It's great for making burgers at home. The staff are really friendly and they are the best compared to any stores in the US. They go above and beyond stop what they are doing and help out with directions or check if they know something has been delivered but not on the shelf. Also, this location is very convenient for parking . They have ample car parking. Only con now a days I have observed is it gets a bit busy during the peak hours in the weekend. read more

Lines for groceries are starting to get long again, particularly on the weekend. I think it might be better to go during the weekday. It was very orderly though and everyone was socially distanced. I am rating Trader Joe's in Pleasanton 1 star for not following social distancing protocol today (December 22) when I was in the store at 2:13 pm. I was in Robbie's line purchasing my item and when I went to insert my debit card in the machine, I bumped into the person buying items in the same lane that was open across from his lane. I did not want to get too close to the man, so I waited until he paid for his items, then I continued at the machine completing my purchase transaction. I went to the booth where the managers sit and asked to speak to a manager. A black female (I don't know her name) spoke to me and I told her that with two lanes open with the cashiers facing each other, I did not feel safe because the man in the other lane was right behind me. She said that when it's busy, they open up more lanes and mid day was a busy time. I told her I didn't see long lines and they should still be practicing Covid 19 social distancing even though the store was busy. I asked to speak with the store manager and he said "thank you and Happy Holidays" when I told him my concern about two cashiers facing each other and having their customers in the same line. His response said to me that he didn't care about my concern about Covid 19 protocol from his words and tone of voice. I usually have good things to say about Trader Joe's, but I made it a point to write this review so others could see they choose not to follow Covid protocol even when a customer (aka me) tells them she didn't feel safe in their check out line. read more

Trader Joe's is doing fantastic during this pandemic. They're wiping things down, sanitizing, only allowing a certain number of people in, and enforcing mask wearing + social distancing. I'm proud of my local TJ's!! I went in today to pick up some Halloween niblets + snacks and it was SPOTLESS !! My favorite thing to get from Trader Joe's is the babka so you know I was juiced to see they weren't all out yet! First time in the new facility today - it opened I think 4 days ago. The old location is a sad sight these days. Spooky. The new location is near the Macys Furniture store, Oil Changers, Auto Parts and the furniture store that is practically giving away all their furniture because they are going out of business. The new store is bigger, brighter and has tons of parking - even two electric vehicle charging stations... EV cars are important to the residents of Pleasanton because they have such crappy commutes - not as bad as Livermore or Tracy though - could be worse. Super clean and bright - if anything too clean... too bright. It misses the cozy feeling of the old location. Every Trader Joes has a couple nick nacks. I forget is there a plastic toy crab hidden at every location? A bear?? The only thing cozy at this location is the distance between check out stands. When you check out you will notice that there is too much space between check out people who stand back to back at the expense of space for patrons. Among some other things I got an "Oktober Fest - Maerzen." In case you were wondering its an authentic Bavarian Festival Lager and I'm enjoying one now :) Its delicious. read more

I like Trader Joe's. They have some unique items that I will always go to. Produce is reasonable, but eat it within a few days or it will go bad. At this location, the staff is friendly. My only issue parking lot. It's like drive at your own risk. It's as the customers forgot how to safely drive (i.e., be courteous, right of way, etc.). If there's not a car that will stop for you while pulling out of your space, there will be a person jumping out in front of your vehicle. read more

It's my second favorite business after Costco, but they made a major error charging me $11.69 on what was a $5item. You really have to pay attention at the register. And I would like to see more helpful employees on the floor. They're often talking to each other more than helping customers. I don't know if it's just this location or everywhere you go... maybe is the Pleasanton Entitlement on behalf of the Customer/s, but people keep bringing their animals into the store, and as long as you say is a "service animal" no1 will check for credentials/permits to verify such statements (Like one of the employees at TJ say: we're not the TSA we can't ask for verification).... so you can basically bring any animal and walk around like you own the place, as long as you say is a "Service Pet" you are golden! I've seen NUMEROUS people w their dogs at this location, is astounding the amount of Animals that come into this Grocery store, including birds, makes me wanna bring my own pet and just pull the same stunt as every entitled person here. read more

Trader Joe's is a weekly must for grocery shopping! I love this place! They've recently moved to this location from another smaller shopping center. I like this location better than the previous. There's more parking and I like the layout of the store. They're always bringing in new items, just last week I saw a soba noodle stir fry kit and Korean salad kit! I can't wait to try them, currently limiting myself due to a fitness challenge :) Produce is always fresh and they have tons of meatless & vegan options for a bargain! I buy almost all of my groceries from here except seafood. I love that they carry different types of pasta and the 3 cheese pasta sauce is to die for! You can find just about any kind of substitute for a pasta (red lentil spaghetti) bread (what's up flourless bread!) or meat (meatless ground beef, heyyy) here. They also have fresh flowers, potted plants/flowers and fresh herbs available! There's a wine section and home/health section too! A little of everything makes it so convenient and I'm all about convenience ;) The employees at this location are super friendly, lines move fast and I'm usually in and out within 15min. Needless to say, I'm a huge fan of Trader Joe's and even have my mom and sis hooked on going there! read more

Came to the newer location for the very first time the other day. A lot of my friends shop at TJ's aka Trader's Joe yet I'm unsure what others buy exactly from here. lol When I went I looked for pure plant based. I picked up some Meatless Italian sausage, which turned out to be really good stuff when cooked in my air fryer (380F degree for 7 mins). I picked up some salads, canned jackfruit, frozen veggie burger (saw this lady buy 4-6 boxes), frozen jackfruit crab cake had a nice texture and delicious. Bag of small fuji apples perfect for my kids who can't finish medium/large apples. - Multiple check out lanes opened. I liked this older guy who worked yesterday from this posted date. He was nice and friendly. He's good with toddlers too. My little girl like to help me put our groceries on the conveyor belt so our check out guy actually had my little girl sit on this table that opened up so she could help out. In return, the older gentlemen gave my little girl some stickers and a free fruit leather. I'm guessing he was the store manager? I didn't ask, but I know other store managers have treated kids in his/her special way. I like this TJ. Plenty of parking spots too. I'm happy TJ moved to this location because before I had the difficult time finding parking when picking up take out from Vegan Blossom. I will definitely be back. read more

The manager (I think) was so wonderful when I had to exchange an item this evening and he didn't even ask for the receipt or take it when I offered! Love any trader joe but went store few days ago we had to wait line cuz corona things this real over weight woman I believe she is around 35 made like 8 ft distance from me kept stair at me for those " look. We used to shop at the Trader Joe's in Hayward (because we lived there) and it was a terrible experience! The parking lot was tiny and there were always people there (day or night). When we moved back to Pleasanton, we started shopping at this Trader Joe's (located off of Santa Rita). Needless to say, it was a night and day difference! The shelves are stocked more readily, the parking lot is HUGE, the staff fly through the lines at check out! Even during this shelter-in-place, they provide a nice shopping experience. They are monitoring a headcount of customers to help maintain social distancing, proving disinfectant wipes at the door for cars and baskets, and you can pretty much walk up to an open cashier as soon as you get all of your items. Way to go Trader Joe's! Keep up the excellent work! read more

My mom and I went in there yesterday and my mom asked Barney a question about a specific product, he answered quickly and was pretty short. My mom replied with a follow up question and he then made fun of her question and mimicked her response. This was beyond rude and unnecessary...especially coming from a store manager. Get some training on how to talk to people, bro. It was so beyond rude and I was shocked.
