This Trader Joe's location is spacious and has a great variety. I love that there's a parking lot too. The staff is personable, friendly and helpful here. I don't frequent this particular location that often but been wanting to go back since my last visit. It's also obvious some customers that shop here are rude and not understanding. My local Trader Joe's location is in Brooklyn and boy, it could be a rough time going there. Crowded aisles, long wrapping lines, lines out the door at times. Rare to none street parking spots available. Time will be sacrificed for a good spot. Smaller store, less variety. So you see why I'd appreciate the Staten Island location so much!

I'm a big fan of the Staten Island Trader Joe's (currently the only one on the island, but hopefully there will be more someday). The staff is friendly and more than happy to check on the availability of items, which is always necessary at TJ's considering all the seasonal products and discontinued favorites. They're pretty well-stocked, although they do sell out of stuff if you go late on weekend nights. Even when it's crowded (like on weekend afternoons), it doesn't feel as oppressive as shopping at some of the other ones in the city, and since it's set up more like the suburban stores, you don't get the line snaking through the store. Like all other TJ's, the prices are affordable, the products can be unique and creative, and their return policy for items you just don't like is great. There's plenty of parking, especially if you're willing to walk from the lot behind the building. Lastly, I don't know if it's just the artist for this store who makes them, but I enjoy all the punny jokes that are posted in the bathroom stalls. They change them out regularly, and I always look forward to seeing what seasonal jokes they're going to come up with next.

I never really shop at Trader Joe's. However, there are a few snacks and drinks I like to grab from here. I do not know how the typical layout of the store but personally, I feel like the lanes are just so confusing. It's slanted and has very little space in each aisle. There are many things you can buy here but the store just seems to small. It tends to get pretty crowded and there were several times where i saw long lines outside of the store. I came with a list of baking ingredients and I was not able to find all 5 of the ingredients I needed. I don't think Trader Joe's is a place I can really rely on to get my essentials but it definitely is a great place to get their yummy snacks/drinks. All the cashiers are super friendly and start conversations all the time. It's almost as if you are talking to a long lost friend.

This is a cool trader joes to shop at when the parking lot isn't full of people. The parking lot isn't big enough to manage the traffic of the store. The parking lot is a death trap!! I park across the street and cross over! That's how much I avoid the parking lot when it's full of people in there!!! The store is clean and fresh products!! Also the staff is pretty nice.

I have been loving this grocery store for quite sometime and this review is way overdue, but here goes!!!! First and foremost I always look forward to shopping here because you always find something new and different. I love the fact that it's a lot of healthy options at a great price. Everyone is always saying in order to eat healthy it's so expensive.....not true. Have u been to "Trader Joes" ? They have great prices and their products are fresh and great tasting. People should at least give it a try if they haven't done so already. The cashiers and other staff are usually very nice and welcoming. They also have staff presenting you with new things to try. It's a great place to shop. I will be forever going there so please don't closed!!!! My mother loves their candied pecans they are to die for.

This is the best Trader Joe's I've ever been to. Everyone loves Trader Joe's, especially the big ones in queens or NJ but this one is something special. There is ample space in the parking lot to park. This is good because I'm buying a ton of groceries when I come here. Their products, especially their organic products are excellent. So reasonably priced the way organic food should be. The customer service here is capable. They have a restroom which is great if you're shopping with kids. Also, they have stickers and free samples kids love. They don't sell wine at this location but TJs wine shop in the city has lots of wine. This location has great food and produce. It's my favorite grocery store in life and on SI.

Probably the only grocery store I'm willing to go to voluntarily. Trader Joe's is well known for their pretty healthy and damn delicious food, all sold relatively in line with the competition (like Kellogg's, not like Guaranteed Value). The store is open and fun to shop in (as fun as grocery stores can be), and I've never been in the store once without the cashiers and staff sparking conversation and being exceptionally nice. And seriously, cookie butter is a thing, and it is incredible.

The parking lot here is a mess. Disagree about signage, there's not enough and exiting here to go out on Nome Ave,. is a sharp turn disaster waiting to happen. There's also a one way only entrance on the narrower side of the building where cars go down the wrong way constantly. Not to mention the typical Staten Island arrogant dumb mentality of ignoring the no left turn sign on Nome. If the cops want to fill their ticket quotas for the month just stake out this lot. As for the food Trader Joe's is always hit or miss. Their junk food is good but their frozen stuff is average. Meats and chicken are not bad but a bit pricey. Check their labels too, this company claims they don't use MSG in their products but many I saw had ingredients such as "Natural Flavors" or no msg added which are deceptive... buyer beware. read more

Besides some drivers not knowing how to navigate the parking lot...mind you, arrows and signs everywhere to show you where enter and where to exit...not rocket science here. Typical NYC trader joe's...has the basic stuff, not fancy like out of state ones. A lot of stuff were out of stock but overall, the staff was nice and were restocking as fast as possible. Also the check lines moved very quick, which is always a plus. read more

LOVE Joe's!!! I am in here alot. Great wild caught fish selection, as well as organic meats. (although stop n shops organic meat is a little cheaper). Love all the Joe's brand stuff. Great frozen Chinese food, cookies, berries. Great almond milk. I buy almost everything here. Love it, just wish it was bigger like the sick one in Chelsea in the city. Its HUGE! Love the wasabi seaweed snacks and the fruit selection. read more

I would usually give any Trader Joes 5 starts, but this one is crazy overcrowded. Early on a weekend afternoon, a lot of the good stuff is gone, the lines are really long, and it's tough to get a cart sometimes. They really need to open another one on the North Shore. read more

I love trader joe's and the size of this location is perfect for me to get what I need and get out as it can get pretty busy. The prices are not that much more than other grocery stores but the food quality and shopping experience is far superior. The parking lot is a pain, but if you don't mind walking a couple extra feet there is plenty of parking behind the building. My usuals are the organic juices, strawberry and banana cream yogurt packs, strawberry cereal bars, frozen fried tilapia filets, lobster ravioli, frozen Mac n cheese, fresh southwest salmon, beef bourgogne, steel cut oatmeal and the tea tree body wash. read more

I love shopping here. The staff is incredible, so helpful and always in a good mood. It's very rare to walk into a store knowing you'll get great service, ESPECIALLY in Staten Island. Always have fresh produce and great price value. I would recommend going in the morning as they usually are always fully stocked as opposed to the evenings. read more

Best place ever. I come here all the time. They have the best food ever. They have a diner to try out food. For the kids there is a scavenger hunt, they find 3 things, they get a prize . The prices for stuff are very good For example, 19 cents for bananas and they are sweet. The staff are relly nice they help out if you need to find a product this worker named sasa is very kid friendly and I mean friendly. This store is not like whole foods at all very cheep in organic items and keep it up. If you need to use the restroom, they have a huge and clean rest room. If you forgot your wallet at home dont worry they will save your stuff in a huge fridge. Lastly dont worry if you buy an item and open it and you dont like it, they will take it back. read more

For the longest time I thought Traders Joe was an upscale yuppie Zabar's wannabe. Boy, was I ever wrong. Never been to one before until a TJ's opened on Staten Island, which I avoided for over a year because of my own ignorance. Here are the reasons I love the one on Staten Island. 1) The prices. They can't be beat even on some goods I used to get from Costco. 2) The quality. The produce and fruit are top notch, and you don't have to buy so much bulk that will wind up going to waste. I think a lot of the TJ generic brand stuff like cereal, coffee, ice cream is way better than any of the brand name stuff that cost 20-40 percent more. 3) The staff. Super-friendly. 4) The products. My favorite are the TJ seasonal foods. For me, October will never be the same; pumpkin butter, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin granola cereal. (Yes, I love pumpkin) 5) The samples. Free coffee, and a morsel of something delightful everyday. And it's always all good. Helps take out the drudgery of having to do the grocery shopping. My only two knocks against my TJ is the parking, front lot is too small and too tight. They're victims of their own success here -- not easy when you're so popular. Secondly, their meat selection isn't has wide as I had hoped. But when you put the cons against the pros, the pros win in a landslide. read more

My absolute favorite place to shop. I have been a Trader Joes fan since they opened in Union Square in Manhattan. Im happy to see they came so far. I love Trader Joes stores in general but this one is my personal favorite. I love the set up here I always find what Im looking for. I also love the fact that they started getting more organic vegetables and fruits. Their prices are great. I prefer Trader Joes 10 times more than Whole Foods. read more

My favorite store! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, always available, & accommodating (with the return policy, making sure the customer is happy, & going above & beyond). The produce is excellent. The organic berries & veggies to steam in a bag are some of my favorites. I absolutely love their huge cheese selection. They also have alot of dairy free, gluten free, etc choices that taste yummy. I always leave happy. read more

Love this store! Not a place I would go for my everyday items, but worth the trip at least once a month. They have different items, so I like to pick up different things to try every time I go. They have really good crab cakes, great hummus and oatmeal. I like the ravioli section & even the cheeses. They always have samples to try new items and carry featured items every so often. The prices are reasonable & kept in a clean manner. read more

This is my favorite place to do my food shopping. They have great things here. This is the only location we have here on Staten Island. Compared to the city and Brooklyn stores its smaller and doesn't have as much variety. The staff here is okay. Unfortunately, they run out of a lot of things so quickly. read more

I went to this trader joes do to the fact that during the huge snowstorm we had my regular store collapsed. Like the roof actually caved in and it's destroyed, although they are rebuilding it. This might become my new store though. They seem to have a better selection and it's no where near as crowded although now that I am saying that the I probably just jinxed myself. Only downfall is the $15 bridge toll for me but honestly i save so much coming here as opposed to whole foods it's worth it. There is a closer store to me in millburn but this Staten Island trader joes just seems so much better organized and well stocked it's worth the 20 minute drive. read more

I would definitely recommend coming here early weekdays, before school let's out or before they close. The parking lot gets so crowded and it can get a bit annoying to drive around double parked cars. Also, why have a do not make a left turn sign on Nome Ave when it's never enforced by anyone??!.. The store is kept clean and is organized. I usually go every week to get my toddler her snacks. I end up leaving with goodies for my whole family. The only complaint i have is that they run out of products pretty often. If you get there at a decent time with a stocked store, you will enjoy it! read more

Clean and friendly place to shop. I don't do my "big" grocery shopping there, but I stop in when I am looking for just a few things or a particular ingredient. I love their fresh flowers at very affordable prices and often treat myself to a bouquet. I do wish the produce section was larger or had a more varied selection. I enjoy a lot of their frozen selections, which surprised me. I love their pretzel bread! read more

I love going to Trader Joe's. It's a pretty open floor plan, so even though there are a lot of people that shop there it doesn't get congested. Everything is fresh and delicious. It's a bit on the pricey side, but I'm one of those people that's willing to pay extra for quality. I never have any trouble finding what I need. All of the staff is extremely nice. read more

I was super excited to see a trader joes open up on the island! Just like all the other TJ's that I've been around the city, the staff is friendly, helpful, and quick! I usually come by to pick up some goodies, like our household favorite, olive oil and salt potato chips, and other goodies! The prices are pretty much the same as all the other TJ's and it's convenient. The parking lot can get annoying at times, with the select few who want to drive like idiots, but that's another issue. :) read more

THEY SHOULD MAKE A REAR ENTRANCE/EXIT TO THE STORE because the parking in front & on the side of this elongated bulding is uncomfortable to drive thru & hazardous to your car. There is a large parking lot in the rear. That is the only negative. The staff is very helpful/will sometimes will walk you to an item requested. Width of isles are non congestive. The prices are very competitive on most items. PRODUCE IS ORGANICALLY ORIENTED. Also, many items premade for 1 or 2 for quick lunch or dinner. Good assortment of cut flowers for sale. Get use to a boat bell ringing occasionally. Clientele above average for SI. Your purchases placed in double paper handle bags. read more

One of the biggest reasons I love shopping at Trader Joes is the warm and friendly employees of this establishment. They greet you with a smile and always say hello which is quite rare these days. The prices are good and the shelves are well stocked at all times. The store is neat and clean. The only down fall is when they promote a product and you like the product, you probably wont find it again. ex: Texas Slice Bread was a hit in my house. Month later they didn't carry it anymore, other than that this store is A1 in my book. read more

Man, do I like shopping here!!!! Since it is far from my residence, I do not get here nearly as often as I would like. An outstanding staff. Excellent quality of inventory. My mood automatically brightens when I go here. I wish there were more Trader Joe's on the Island. read more

I love Trader Joe's!! This is an especially small Trader Joe's and can get crowded if you go during peak hours, like immediately after work. The parking lot is a little awkward too. However, you cannot beat the selection of unique items here. The fresh flowers are pretty, fresh, and affordable. Produce is always fresh. I especially enjoy the seafood selection. There are also various meats, cheeses, and dips. I love their tzatziki sauce and all the different hummus. Plus they have a nice selection of beer! read more

Love it here. I go for everything except baking stuff. It seems much cheaper than any other store. The food is healthier, and what i've tried of the frozen food collection has been surprisingly good so far. I'm glad they finally opened one! but i agree with others about the parking lot. its pretty sucky. read more

The only Trader Joe's in Staten Island: Don't give any bad review because if this location closed 1/4 of people in Staten Island wouldnt know where to shop. The price here are very decent, food quality is very top notch compared to the other market near by ( stop and shop, Costco...) parking is decent as well. They always serve hot coffee and they give food samples; one con on the sample is they don't have any regulations, for example if this product has nut in it they won't tell us, or if this is spicy they won't give a warning or there no sign stating. The price sometimes increases by 20-40 cents but it will decrease once they get back stock. Over all a great place to shop. Lines are sometimes long but the staff here try there best, over a great market. Hopefully we get a Wholefood soon! read more

First time here. Loved the presentation. Everything is made by their own label. Smaller than I thought it it would be. Very friendly staff. Parking is ok but getting in or out is not easy. i bought a few things just to see how their products are. the mango lemonade is delicious. the kettle corn is ok. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this store. They have 99% of what the supermarket has and prices are reasonable. Their return policy is amazing and personal is very helpful. I barely go to the supermarket anymore find all my needs at Trader Joe's always. read more

He should have realized that they were closed. We called back and asked to speak to a manger or supervisor and was told they did not were either one was? This is no way to treat paying customers.

Letter I sent to Trader Joe's: "Earlier today I visited this location to buy some groceries. I was asked to wear a mask but responded that I could not due to a medical condition. The employee asked management if they could make an exception for me not to wear the mask and she was told no. So I agreed to keep the mask on my face but not cover my nose and mouth due to my condition. I had another employee come up to me and tell me I need to put the mask over my mouth and nose and I refused to comply. Finally the previous employee told me if I don't wear the mask the way that she was demanding I do, then I would not be allowed to shop in the store. I refused to comply fully and I told her if she continues to push the issue I will never shop in that store again. She basically told me that she didn't care and that I had to wear the mask the way she said. Now, that being said your company has every right to require certain things in order to shop in your store. However, you cannot override HIPPA laws or medical conditions and other rights that individuals have. Nonetheless, I have decided that I will no longer shop at your store and just wanted to let you know because YOU REFUSE to take action against this tyrannical requirement that is completely unconstitutional and ineffective, you have officially LOST A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE. I understand these are unique times, but there is countless evidence against masks helping protect people from contracting the COVID-19 virus and at this point it is about surrendering our rights and capitulating to the ridiculous demands of these corrupt and morally bankrupt politicians. This letter may not matter to you at all and I completely understand, but I just want to warn you that the more you continue to push your customers away in support of ineffective and unconstitutional policies it will only be a matter of time before you may be closing your doors for good. I use to like visiting this location (Staten Island) until I was profiled for being Latino by a black American manager. Have blacks forgotten what it's like to be profiled? Or do blacks who think they're white think that they're the exception. It's ok to be targeted and treated like a common criminal if you're any other race but God forbid this happens to a black person. I don't like being treated like I'm going to steal supermarket products because I Hispanic. We're not all undocumented immigrants you know? Screw them I will not return to this location and just do my shopping online or in Manhattan. Staten Islanders are so full of themselves. A bunch of racist, homophobic and stupid people live on this island and I hate living here. That rude manager thinks she's something special because she just probably had her braided synthetic weave done. Enough about the food already. When you exit the parking lot onto Nome Avenue, the "No LEFT" turn sign is completely ignored by many TJ customers.This causes a traffic back-up across Richmond AV. The Mayor should post a cop to ticket those offenders & there will be no need to propose the Millionairs Tax. This location will be a gold mine for the City. read more
