I stopped by the day after the grand opening, an hour before they closed. It was still a mad house. People were just grabbing everything off the shelves and the employees couldn't stock fast enough. I noticed that the prices are slightly more expensive than it is in NYC? How is that possible? Also, the store is not that big. But I'm glad they opened one fairly close. For this being my first time at Trader Joe's, I wasn't overly impressed by all the hype that surrounded it. First walking in, it seemed like a small specialty grocery market. Extremely crowded on a Sunday afternoon, so packed some aisles were literally impossible to walk through. I expected the store to be much larger, but the location itself was actually quite small. They had a few samples as we walked through the store like a spicy mac n' cheese as well as goat cheese and mango on a raspberry cracker. I'm always a big fan of samples, but if you are going to do them, you need to do them on products to draw me in and make me want to buy them, something that did not happen. In the end, we walked out of Trader Joe's without buying a single thing. Prices weren't bad, but nothing was such a bargain I thought it was a steal. The products they had were unique, but as someone who eats out most of the time and does not make my own food, I didn't see anything here for me to buy. Everything seemed very organic and I don't think I spotted a single item from a chain/company i recognized. read more

I literally just shopped here a few hours ago and I'm writing this review as I'm snacking on my creamy peanut butter cups. I needed some quality, reasonably priced, one of a kind groceries and decided to make the 45min trek north to this location. PACKED. Packed with herds of people smushed into the isles like the world was coming to an end. I could barely get down certain isles and had to effectively strategize ways of maneuvering my cart without rolling over anyone's toes. Rolled over my own a few times, but that was ok. I stocked up on fresh veggies like kale and spinach, tortilla chips, fresh mint leaves (delicious when brewed in coffee or served with iced water, strawberry cereal, vegetarian Indian frozen foods, fresh flowers for $5.99 and a bunch of other fantastic items. There were samples of this refreshing blood orange soda, fresh blueberries, cold OJ and veggie lasagna. The employees seemed very nice and were cordial, which always helps with an overwhelming shopping experience. -Parking is plentiful- tons of spaces. More spaces than at any other TJ's that I've shopped at. -I think it's best to come between 3-5pm or after the work rush for a less crowded experience. Of course this location just opened so maybe the hype will eventually fizzle over time and we will all be free to skip down the isles without someone's cart poking us in our butt (yup, that happened too). For years I've heard everybody talking this place up. I waited excitedly for a few months till opening day and then made it a point to go. I don't think it lived up to the hype. It's sorta like a hipster whole foods. There's all these specialty foods that appeal to different tastes and nutrition requirements. I've had some of the frozen food like fried shrimp and that was good but the pita bread and hummus was just pedestrian. The reason I'm giving Trader Joe's four stars is for the wine. The bottles are slightly smaller than regular wine bottles but are absurdly cheap. My bottle of red wine yielded me multiple small glasses and it took me many days to finish it off. The hooch is quite potent and got me a cool buzz each time. If you are a hard-working, young professional woman who deals with a lot of stress on a daily basis, then this place could be your shangri-la. The floorspace area is actually small on par with like a CVS. They have everything laid out in a way that is able to accommodate a ton of customers and visually have little shpadoinkle signs to get your attention and give you information on highlighted products. If you have never been it's worth going just for the experience. Besides the wine, the other major thing I liked was checking out with your cart. Different than normal grocery stores. read more

Avoid this location if you believe in any social distancing. When I arrived I thought it would be safe inside since they have tents sent up to limit capacity. From the moment I walked in, every food isle is packed with people practically on top of each other. Staff members in the mix of the chaos and not helping to redirect customers. Nor a friendly staff like my previous experiences at other locations. After posting on social media that it was a mob scene- many other people agreed. Lost business. I'd rather go out of my way to the Delray location- the staff is extremely polite there as well. read more

The 5 stars are specifically for one of the crew members - Bethany!!! We love Trader Joe's, no doubt, but the assistance we received from Bethany today was above and beyond. We went there for our final shopping & to our shock the cookie butter sandwich cookies were out. We were told that they didn't have any stock and would be getting a shipment the same night. There was no way for us to come back the next day since we were flying out. We get to the cash counter and casually mentioned to Bethany that we were disappointed about not getting the cookies. Bethany asked someone to check once again, then informed us that the shipment arrives around 5-6 and that they would hold a few boxes for us. Bethany took our information down and promise to call us when they come in. We casually went back around 6; ran into Bethany again and left with our cookies. Thank you!!!!! read more

After waiting many long years, it has finally arrived, and I could not be happier....at least until they build the one in Boca. :) However, as the saying goes, it is close enough for government work. For those that are not familiar with the concept, here is a helpful guide for the initiate: http://www.clubtraderjoes.com/trader-joes-faq However, for the initiate; 90% of what TJ's carries are its' own brands. If you are looking for name brands, you are likely going to be disappointed. However, I say branch out a little. Just because a brand is familiar, does not necessarily mean that it is better. In fact, IMHO, the chances are that what you pick up here will be as good, if not better, than the well known brand. Size. Does it really matter? Although this a bit of a cheeky question, I have seem a number of comparisons of the size of this location versus another. However, in my experience, this location is not really noticeably bigger or smaller than locations that I have been to in NY (city and LI), MD, DC, PA, or in Naples. . So when folks say this location is so much smaller etc., I cannot agree. Also, know that TJ's does rotate their stock, and so certain items that you are looking for and maybe missing are not attributable to the size, but what they are buying at the moment. Just ask and they will tell you if they are out if stock or getting it in. Overall, I am just glad that TJ's is finally close by enough that I don't have to plan an entire day to get to and fro. If it was worth the trip to Naples or South Miami, it is certainly worth the trip to Wellington. read more

Trader Joes is a good place for certain items (for example, i like to buy my seasonings, chicken breast, and coffee there) but not so great for other things (like produce). After all of the hype, i was a bit disappointed. I didn't feel the prices were significantly better than the other stores I shop at. Thus, when I am in the area, I will certainly go back, but I won't be making a 30 minute drive just to shop there. read more

Trader Joe's is an eccentric style of grocery store for the adventurous shopper. It specializes in deals. Often, items you get today will vanish tomorrow, so stock up if you really like something. Generally, you can trust Trader Joe's to offer high-quality merchandise. However, you still may not like it. Ingredients are fine, but sometimes the flavors are unusual. This is often good, but sometimes bad. Basically you will get a more unfiltered and authentic cuisine experience, with none of the "blandification" of traditional brands. The best way to shop Trader Joe's is to buy a lot of different things and decide on which ones work for you, and then buy large quantities of what you love a day or two later. The products you see here are all branded with the Trader Joes label, so you really have no idea what company actually makes what you buy. And unlike, say, Publix or Walmart, you cannot identify what you are getting and search for it elsewhere. If it's not at Trader Joe's anymore, you will have no idea where it might be. Unlike traditional frozen foods, like what you see at Publix or Walmart, portion sizes tend to be on the generous side. This means that individual packages are bigger, and prices are significantly higher. To compare with traditional frozen foods, portion sizes are approximately the same as a Stouffer's large lasagna (normally selling for $3.50 with occasional $2.50 sales). These products sell for $5-7 at Trader Joe's. If you are diabetic or need to watch your calories, Trader Joe's offers great options. They seem significantly better at providing low carbohydrate food options than other brands. For example, a typical Lean Cuisine entree will have around 40 grams of carbs per serving. There are a lot of options with 10-20 grams of carbs here, and taste and quality are significantly better than LC. This makes a low-carbohydrate diet on prepared foods possible, which as far as I can tell is absolutely unprecedented in the frozen food universe. Right now, Trader Joe's has an exceptionally inconvenient shopping experience, with huge crowds bombarding the store day and night. In my testing, early morning and late night (right before closing) are good times to go. I highly recommend Trader Joe's. It offers healthier than normal food options at fair prices. I AM SO HAPPY THIS CAME TO MY TOWN!!! While living in California, this was one of my husband and I's favorite places to shop. When I heard they were coming to Wellington I practically exploded in my pants! Their produce is extremely cheap, much cheaper than Publix. I wish they had more organic options for their produce but it is still a wonderful thing. They have an amazing cheese selection, comparable to Whole Foods and at much better prices. Obviously their beer and wine selection is awesome and superbly priced. My heart lies with their frozen food. It is all so exotic and delicious and nothing you can find at another grocery store. I highly recommend their char sui bao! Also anything else Asian or Indian. I think it is a great place to buy food for a party or just a fun night of munchies. read more

I am addicted to Trader Joe's. Easily my new favorite place to shop for food. I love the fact that it's a small, easy-to-shop store. I love the fact that everything looks delicious... and then you bring it home and it is indeed delicious. I love the fact that they carry mostly smaller-brand products that often feel like they were picked out especially for me. Yes, it's busy, but it's honesly never been a problem for me and I've never had to wait long to pay. They always seem to have enough friendly cashiers working. And yes, you may not find every single item on your list here, but you will likely instead come home with a new snack, cheese, cereal, juice, etc that you will not be able to live without from that point forward. It was chaotic on a Saturday afternoon and I didn't really have the need to browse around like I wanted to with all the people going back and forth in my way. The prices are hit or miss. The milk was cheaper than the juice and I can buy a gallon of juice for the same price at Publix that they sell for the half gallon there. Maybe it's because they make their own food and want to sell it for the labor put into it as well. Plus, I was surprised the store wasn't bigger than what it was. It only consisted of 3 or 4 aisles and two average size sections for the bakery, veggies, meats, and fruits. My expectations were probably a little too high and I'll go back when it dies down a little bit to give it another chance since it opened a couple weeks ago. read more

Yes, I have bought into the Trader Joe's hype. I can finally see why people were so excited about this grocery store chain finally arriving in PBC. The veggie, fruit, and cheese prices are mostly amazing. Limes that sell for 99 cents a piece at Publix are 49 cents here. Parmesan cheese, $6.99/pound. The chicken prices really amazed me, considering they don't pump them full of salt water like everyone else and yet they charge less to about the same as a regular chicken. And the glorious snacks! Things I didn't know existed from chocolate covered edamame to OMG, cookie butter, A great, cheaper selection of nuts, seeds, trail mixes and dried fruit. Love their cereal bars, too. Taste better than Nutrigrain and they are less expensive. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the frozen foods, I have only tried the hash browns, but I've nothing but good things about everything else. I don't know the standard size for a Trader Joe's, but this place is small. Definitely not Whole Foods huge. If you can, show up when they open at 8 am. It was quick and easy. I really like this grocery store, and I think it will replace Publix in at least a few areas. read more

If there's something you didn't like they will gladly give you your money back to try something else. The store is very accommodating and clean. The selection and the prices cannot be beat. So this Wellington location is the smallest Trader Joe's than any other location I've been to so far. If you have never been there before, location can be a little confusing - and as horrible & sometimes annoying as the human traffic already is, I think I'd like to keep it that way I walk in 20 minutes before closing and get the stare-down from almost every stocking employee who knows its almost closing time and they WILL be going home shortly, come hell or high water... And then there's me with my empty basket just thinking about what I need, "Oh shit, I forgot my list.. whatever." I just started cruising down the aisles at a fairly decent pace, throwing whatever in my basket. I think I got a couple of the things that were on my list, so that was super bonus. I'm trying this thing where I refrain from being mean, like I could've... Taken my sweet, sweet time trying to remember every single thing on a list I had no recollection of or counted out & paid with all my small change that somehow always builds up at the bottom of my purse, or I could've insisted on counting grapes. You get the damn point. To the little punk at the register: Regardless if it's 8am or 9pm, there's this thing called customer service. The part in your hair didn't fool me for a nice person, because you sure weren't. This particular TJ's might have a few bad apples... But we're in Wellington, it's to be expected from teenagers in this demographic - but I love the place for what it is & what it brings to my table, I'll deal with a few ingrates to get my foods! By the way, I checked out 3 minutes after 9pm and walked out of the store, took my basket back to the entrance - the thing people should but don't realize is, You don't have to be a jerk. Due to recent health issue I found myself in need of shopping where I can find all kinds of specialty foods. I need non- dairy, low fat, vegan, non- spicy foods. They've got all kinds of choices. I've been shopping there 2-3 times per week. It's been a huge diet change but as long as you read labels you can find quite a nice selection. Very happy with my choices and most importantly the diet choices are working. I have been overjoyed at finding the food and supplies that I need for dietary reason. Prices are right. Selection is excellent. It's amazing how good this place is. The key his to read labels and make sure it fits in with your needs. read more

Took me a while to figure out what this place was about. Is it organic? No. Is it gourmet? Not entirely. You just have to dive in and try some of their items. Thankfully they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. All in all the products are very good and reasonably priced. Your dollar will go a lot further here than Whole Foods and Publix, but it's not really competing for those audiences either. Check out is fantastic. The employees are super kind and helpful. Prices are good. Quality is good. Mostly snack oriented things, but meals can be had here as well. I deduct 1-star simply because they retire products all the time. They also move things around the store so it's like and Easter egg hunt each time you shop. Over the last two months we have completely fallen in love with Trader Joe's. We have come to realize it was a place we would shop once every few months for novelty items. Basically, we hadn't (despite my original posting) really tapped into the true worth of Joe's. Go there and scout out the store completely. REALLY, go through the aisles and slowly take it in, go through the frozen case item by item. I am betting that barring items like Coke Zero or Maxwell House instant ice coffee... Joe's has an alternative for 90% of your fridge & pantry. We have as a result of recent weekly visits, switched our shopping from 100% Publix, to 80% Joe's, and we are pocketing anywhere from $20 to $50 a week as a result. Also, the discovery of so many items exclusive to Joe's has made meals quick easy and different. It is officially LOVE, however, I could do without a few of the hippy-type shoppers that we see on occasion... Wandering the aisles... Looking like they're off their meds... ;) read more

Coming from San Diego and having Trader Joes all over the city, I was pretty excited to try this one out. When i got there it was busy. Not unusual to me for a Joes but they they were stocking shelves and also had little shopper in training carts. There was two moms that had two kids each that both had those carts. Little much but not totally Joes fault. Produce was up to par and priced wonderful. My only disappointment was there was no bulk section. I liked to get bulk oatmeal and quinoa from the bins. It was always cheaper that way because there was no packaging. Too bad. read more

Trader Joe's has long been one of my favorite places to buy food, thanks to their quality goods at inexpensive to reasonable prices in a fun environment. I am blessed to live in an area with many good options for groceries, but I find myself using TJ's for many items. While I usually use the Delray Beach location, as it is slightly closer to my home, I sometimes use this location as it is not much further from my home as it is a straight shoot north on 441 and this works well, as I occasionally visit the Wellington and Lake Worth areas. I stopped here with my Mom today, as we needed kosher chicken breasts in a pinch and Publix by me was out and Glick's Kosher Market was closed. We decided to go to this store as opposed to the one in Delray since we were planning to go to the nearby Whole Foods and both stores are close to each other. Upon entering this store, we appreciated that it was more spacious than the Delray store, as it allows us to have more elbow room. After entering and keeping right, we found their produce section, which has a good selection of conventionally grown and organic produce. On this visit, I picked up an organic cauliflower, priced at $2.79, undercutting Publix and Walmart, a couple of Beefsteak Tomatoes priced at $0.89/each, and my Mother got good Medjool Dates, priced at $4.99/lb, on par with Costco. I still find myself buying most of my produce at Publix and Costco though, as they have an edge but overall, TJ's is another solid option for produce. At the back of the store, there are refrigerated items as well as meats. In this part of the store, I picked up a 52 ounce carton of Trader Joe's Orange Juice, which is delicious and priced at $2.99, which is in line with most other stores. Nearby, we went to their meat section, which had a good kosher selection like the Delray Beach TJ's. Unfortunately, they did not have the regular Empire Chicken Breasts priced at $6.99/lb which is less than everywhere but Costco , so we picked up the Empire Organic Chicken Breasts, priced at $8.49/lb, which definitely undercuts Whole Foods on kosher organic chicken breasts. In the center of the store, I also picked up a couple of Pound Plus Chocolate Bars, which are delicious and an amazing value at $5 in change and a Fresh Mozzarella Log, priced at $4.99/lb. I must add that as we were shopping, we were helped by a gentleman in the meat section as well as Lena, who were kind and helpful in getting us to the products we needed. At checkout, we were assisted by Bob, who was excellent thanks to his kind and helpful demeanor as well as his efficiency. Overall, I would definitely stop at this Trader Joe's again if I were in the area. read more

I love flowers!!!! I am will buy a few bouquets a week, and trader joe is one of my favorite place to get it. Trader Joe have some yummy sparkling water, my favorite is the grapefruit sparkling. It's very limited on what they carry in store, and if you come here in late afternoon, a lot of things could be out. I don't do real grocery shopping here. The only thing I ever buy is their flowers, sparkling juice, and tons of snack. read more

I don't get it. The aisles are narrow, there is no deli, all seafood is frozen and the shelves were half empty. It looked larger from the outside, but disappointing inside. False advertising! This outfit fails to stock many of the items it promotes in its fliers. Employees told me they never received some of the items I was looking for; in other cases they received woefully inadequate quantities and ran out. And why was the sole cashier this morning sneezing and coughing and hacking all over the place and practically barfing up a lung - does Trader Joe's not give the help sick days, or does it pressure them not to use their sick days?
