    Starting eating the pizza Birria
    Jaquay R.

I have two favorite Mexican restaurants and this is one of them. There is nothing I have had that isn't good. The food is flavorful with authentic Mexican taste that is kong lasting even after eating. Service is great. Everyone is so friendly and kind. The atmosphere is lively with music playing in the background. There is great decor and salsa bar inside. My favorite on the menu is the Birria taco. This time I tried the pizza Birria and it was sooooo amazing. I also love the flautas, California burrito, and tacos. I highly recommend checking this place out. They even have a drive-thru.

This little neighborhood spot near downtown Chandler was a substitute to our first option which was closed unfortunately. We were wanting to get some breakfast burritos from a small, local restaurant and came across this when looking for alternative options. It's a very friendly and community oriented. Space, what I mean by this is you can sense the closeness and connecting with community from the entire staff. They are friendly, opening and inviting. Bilingual as well. We got two burritos and put in hashbrowns, eggs, avocado, beans, salsa, and we really enjoyed it. It was a bit heavier than the usual burritos we get, so we were only able to eat half of ours each, but we finish the rest later.

This is a true hole-in-the-wall gem that I've been going to for years. The food is always amazing--and most importantly, consistently delicious. My top two go-tos are the quesabirria tacos and the rolled tacos. You can't go wrong with either one! Prices are very reasonable, too. A reliable favorite every time.

This location used to be El Paisa but now is owned by Tradiciónes which has another location in Tempe. It is wasy to drive by as the building is smaller with an older 80's window design facing the street. This location has a drive thru or on site dining. The configuration of the parking is spatially restricted, but the food is worth it. Inside the restaurant probably needs a thorough remodel but decorated typically. The front is cozy and contains individually wrapped items on their salsa bar. There are usually at least 4 salsas beside vegetables. The service is friendly and staff speaks English but español is the predominant language. No hay mucha confianza en la comida cuando la gente del restaurante no habla la idioma del pais. They have a variety of dishes and most menu items are combinations. They have great portions and there is a size difference between Street and regular tacos. If your Dr. allows, you should try their quesa birria plate. a ramikan of rice and beans accompanies each combo. I wish their beans were smoother, rather than whole, but that is my preference. The Carne/meat is always tasty and I recommend trying them out. Most combos are run $15-$16. They have traditional drinks, Coke products in cooler or fountain.

New taco place my husband was asking to go to all weekend! He loved all 3 of his dishes, and the birria ramen was great! It was a huge portion. It was nice It was in the warmer, but probably didn't need to be since it is kind of inconvenient to have to put it into a bowl or try to eat it out of there. Super authentic!

Tradiciones Mexican Grill, formerly known as Tacos El Paisa is a Mexican Restaurant & Family Restaurant located in Chandler, AZ just off of Arizona Ave. This is a true hidden gem that is absolutely delicious and authentic. First off, if you love all things with birria and consume this is your spot. We had ordered birria quesadillas, barbacoa, al pastor, carne asada burrito, & beef tacos combo. All absolutely delicious & we ended up going back two days in a row! I so enjoy al pastor and the carne asada both were bomb. They packed the most flavor IMO. The consume broth is really rich and perfect when you dip all of the entrees in it. Next time we go back: they have a flautas cup that looks not only fun to eat, but fantastic too! The salsa bar is really fresh and inviting. All the condiment offerings and additional sauces were neatly displayed in their clean iced salsa station located at the counter which includes superb fresh bagged carrots and multiple tasty salsas that are ALL outstanding. Food was prepped in a timely manner and ready quickly, plus our meals were piping hot, so you know it was just prepared. Price wise everything is fairly reasonable in this current economy. Our meals were packed with a punch and the quantity was too! We had plenty of leftovers to enjoy later. Highly recommend this place if you want truly amazing authentic Mexican food. It will not disappoint!

Lovely and quaint sit down restaurant with spectacular food. Area was clean and had a handwashing station for patrons. Service was quick and the food was great! Rice was soft with pieces of onion and bell pepper-done right. We'll definitely be back again

The service however, has been a miss all three times we've been in. The location is large so maybe they just need to add to their team and do a little additional customer care training with everyone. We came in Saturday afternoon to a small lobby area where a gal was already waiting to be sat and when the third group walked in that lobby got even smaller. We waited for about 5 minutes for the hostess who came off cold and unbothered in leaving customers waiting as the other team members took notice of the filling lobby with no one checking in to let us know we'd be assisted soon. The hostess proceeded to tell us she'd be seating us outside, no offer of sitting inside at all and not once did she acknowledge her absence or offer any sort of greeting, not even a smile. When you're the first person the customer interacts with at business I feel it good practice to create a welcoming atmosphere that represents the space you're entering. Especially a place like this that is known for a fun, lively atmosphere. We were sat outside and our waitress was very sweet and got us taken care of with water, food, and drinks pretty quickly. It was a lot cooler than expected on the patio which was awesome, as I was worried about sitting outside when it was 104. Great job with that Mexicano! But once we got our food our waitress stopped by to check in once and we didn't really see her until the end of our meal after that. No refills on water or check-in to see if we wanted additional drinks (which I feel like happened the last time we were in as well). There's a gentleman with a tiger tattoo on the back of his neck who stops in at some people's tables to check in and have chat, he's never stopped in with us.. it all just seems like the customer isn't a priority at this restaurant. The food is delicious, the drinks are great but for the prices, I want to feel more valued. I want to have that fun experience of going out for drinks in a vibrant high-end cantina where you feel connected with the staff. We'll go back but I would really love to see a more engaged customer support team.

The nachos ended up being the star of the night. They were loaded, flavorful, and very satisfying. There was plenty of food and they were more than enough for both of us to share. My husband ordered the burrito and finished it pretty quickly because it was on the smaller side. After that we both ended up just sharing the nachos and we were completely full. Since this was a delivery order I cannot speak to the dine in atmosphere or service, but the food was packaged really well and everything arrived intact and still fresh. Nothing was soggy and the portions held up well for delivery, which I always appreciate. The nachos were definitely the highlight and something I would absolutely order again. Next time I would actually love to stop in during the day and try it in person so we can explore more of the menu.

It was clean, the staff responded quickly to me, but I was the only person at lunchtime on the restaurant side, and there were only two people on the bar side. Despite that it was loud. They need sound attenuation, My server was prompt, and freely shared her menu favorites when I asked. Sadly I'm not really a mole fan, her recommendation, but did try the enchiladas divorciadas. First the chips and salsa... the salsa was basically puréed tomatoes. No heat at all. Just some salt. I asked for something spicier and the server found me some habanero salsa. That was tasty, but it probably had very little habanero in it. Again, no better than a low-med heat. I grew up across the southwest so to me that was disappointing. The enchiladas? I really wanted to like this place but honestly? It was unseasoned boiled and shredded chicken, wrapped in a raw / untoasted tortilla. And drowned in some that was not enchilada sauce. The red sauce tasted like tomato sauce. I'm used to red sauce being pepper based. The spicier and more roasted the better. No pepper discernible. The green sauce tasted like it had a hint of green Chiles but mostly tomatillo. Also boring but better than the red. Neither was good. I ate it, I was hungry and it wasn't greasy, but... this was a midwestern spice-hating simulacrum of an enchilada. No bueno, demasiada aburrida. So to sum it up; decent but slightly loud facility, wonderful server, and I would say forgettable food but the reality is it was unforgettably boring.

I heard that there are new owners which makes sense. All the old workers are gone along with the welcoming atmosphere and delicious food we had come to know and love. On our last visit, some in our party got birria tacos and they all came with decently sized chopped bones in them! When we told the server about it, there was no apology - he actually said that is how they make it?!?!? Let me get this straight, you put choking hazard sized bones in your tacos and don't tell anyone to watch out for them? I've included pics and video so you can see what I am talking about. Tacos are my favorite food on the planet and I've had birria tacos at many, many places (including Mexico) and have never encountered multiple bones in any kind of taco for that matter. Unfortunately their carnitas tacos are dry and flavorless. The Super Taco is still pretty good (no bones), but this and our recent experiences here are making us cross this place off of our rotation going forward. Tortas, thanks for the memories, it was a helluva run, pero no mas.

My wife can be pretty particular when it comes to carne asada, so she was a little hesitant when I suggested we share it. After a few bites, she couldn't get enough! The carne asada was flavorful, tender, and clearly high quality, and the burrito itself was packed with great ingredients and balanced flavors. The added guacamole was the perfect finishing touch. As much as we loved the burrito, Espo's has become a go-to spot for our family because of their Taco Tuesday special. Their 10-taco plate for around $12 is an incredible value, especially for families. We love that you can mix and match between carne asada, carnitas, ground beef, chicken, and shredded beef, making it easy to get something everyone will enjoy.
