I love this addition to Downtown Chandler! It's a cute little food truck on the corner Frye and AZ Ave. They even have an area to sit and eat that is lit up with beautiful twinkle lights!! The owner and cooks were all so friendly and gave great suggestions on what to order. We ended up going with the Al Pastor tacos and WOW!!! They were so good and you could really taste the delicious marinade that went into that pork! Also we got the hot salsa and it actually packed a kick which we love! We like to ride our bikes downtown and hang out so this is a perfect stop over on our way home when we get the munchies! We'll definitely be hitting this up many times over! read more

Before I write my review, I want it to be known that the review posted yesterday is clearly fake. The profile has no reviews other than the one they wrote and what they said about the carne asada is completely false. Yelp's automated review filter failed miserably on that review. ------ I wish I would've taken photos before the food was devoured but goodness gracious this was the best carne asada burrito and carne asada papas fritas I've ever had. Prices were reasonable, portions are fantastic. We tried pollo quesadilla, carne asada burrito and carne asada fries and we thoroughly enjoyed it all. The combination of lime and seasonings made this a fantastic meal I will continue to crave. I spotted this truck and jumped at the chance to try it out. I ordered the pollo and the mushroom tacos. Both come with onion, cilantro and guacamole. I opted to add cheese for a very small additional fee. The mushroom taco was amazing! With the addition of the cheese I had to do a double take, it was truly a meaty texture. Why isn't this on more menus? Some older photos show this as a portobello mushroom taco but is currently listed mushroom. What ever variety they use it's delicious as is. The chicken had nice flavor and was tender and moist. The green salsa is mild with a hint of sweet, it paired well with the mushroom so it wasn't over powered. The red has a nice kick that will linger just long enough to make you dive in to the next bite. read more

I went to jalapeños on Thursday with my mom and I was very impressed the food is delicious the owner is very humble I got the Carne Asada burrito& two gueso taco which were very delicious & I got my three Carne Asada Tacos plus a mushroom taco which she love it more than the carne Asada. Amazing! Closest thing to Mexico we've found in a long time. The Al Pastor is smoky and tender, the Ranchera is high quality beef, the fish is white and flaky with a crunchy exterior, the nachos are made with thick corn tortillas and the chips are fried to order and wonderfully crisp with a mouth watering spicy queso sauce. All high quality ingredients made fresh. Everything is cooked to order so it takes a little bit of time but everything we have had is well worth it. Omg! This was my first time trying out this hidden gem. My husband and I decided to do delivery of this restaurant/food truck. I had the carne asada mulitas and the hubby had a bean and cheese burrito. We topped it off with chips and guacamole to go with our meals. Soo yummy delicious was our meal. I am sorry to do this, but a couple of weeks ago we had some food delivered to our home. Very low par not what I/we are used to, by no means. Every food eatery deserves a 2nd chance, let's face it, I loved this place! My daughter just picked up our food and again very poor quality. Why? Come to find out from a friend of ours, that used to frequent this location as well, but no longer. Jalapenos chef Bill has been out temporarily and I am not sure who is cooking, but not good at all. All flavors bad, meats very dry, over filled with fillers. Nothing good, I am sorry fellas. Please, we know several of your past patrons all of them have shared with us, no more. Quality is not to par. Hope your chef returns, when he does we all will, after a majority discussion. Sorry fellas even last night my night nurse and her husband stopped by around the same time 7:30ish a lady in a black t-shirt was in the truck and I assume the owner Adam was sitting by the door of the truck he was the cook. My nurse and her husband were very disappointed. I was told the atmosphere completely different. Food was filled with a huge amount of bland fillers no meats and the little meats dry with no taste. Again, Jalapenos needs to make sure the chef returns A.S.A.P. otherwise Jalapenos will be no more. Sorry for my negative comments, but you were my favorite. The mushroom tacos were fantastic with great flavor and a meaty texture. We also sampled the asada and al pastor tacos with added cheese and those were some of the best I've had anywhere. Stop by for lunch today, they were closed. I wanted to also cover my experience with them from the evening prior. I actually had my dinner at this location last night after work. I was referred by my co worker last night, that it was a must try. When I arrived they were very busy. I can tell you everyone that I spoke to had nothing but positive things to say about the food. The cook was a sight to see he was so expeditiously and hypnotizing he was the fastest individual that I have ever seen and my friends and I were at awe. The food was the biggest test. We had a pretty big order and it took less than 10 minuets, bewildering no doubt, with all the customers at the time. Everyone that I spoke to said he was a mind blowing cook and they all said they were all regulars of this taco truck. I can tell you the gentleman that took my order was very nice and helpful. I ordered an array of tacos 6 to be exact of steak. When I got home, I was so excited to eat it, it smelled so good. When I opened all are boxes nothing that I ordered was in the boxes. I ended up with a steak quesadilla and in another box I ended up with what looked like taco sandwiches. Yes, my entire order was wrong my friends was OK. I can tell you GREAT choice of error. I was to tired to take it back, but I can tell you the food was astounding. This is now my go to place. I will over look the error because the food was way over par. My friends tacos were just as staggering. Everyone, I spoke to were having fun and were just as excited as I to eat the great food. Thank you, thank you. Now, I did give a rating of 5 stars, that was for the food and the cashier hands down, but the women that gave us our food is getting (*) 1 star she was rude and not very friendly. You could tell she was way over her head and even the cashier was having a hard time with her and she was even treating him rather rudely and even the other patrons and I were just looking at her with a what a shame attitude and we all said she needs to be gone. If not for the food, I would never frequent this taco truck again. Makes perfect sense why I received the wrong food. Nevertheless the food is the best in the Chandler area, it's a must try.
