They have always been courteous, respectful, knowledgeable, timely and overall just a good hang. I go here about once a month. It is clean, well stocked with ammo and targets, and the staff are very knowledgeable. They have a clean restroom. No food or drinks and I do not believe you are allowed to have food or drinks at the range. I take rifles and pistols with me to shoot, but it is an indoor range that extends to about twenty five yards. If you want long distance, you would need to go elsewhere. They do have gunsmiths on staff or available. They sell anything you would need for a gun. They rent out fully automatic weapons. You will not be disappointed. read more

We bought a Radical AR-15 and a S&W .38 and the staff was very helpful. They have a great selection of firearms, the place is clean and organized, and the prices were affordable. They have a nice indoor range at $25/mo. We'll definitely be back. read more

Rude, is not honest with shooting contracts. Personally, I did not feel safe there as a senior woman. My husband stepped in and he tried to bully us as senior citizens. Will not go there. read more

I love these guys. I see some of the reviews and I can say from day one I have always felt they have given me amazing customer service. They have always been so helpful. I have used the range and purchased many things from them. They do have a no nonsense attitude but that is so important for safety reasons. So the "gruff" exterior serves a purpose. But every one of the guys that work there has a good heart and they do want to help. I Have only good things to say! read more

I have bought several rifles from Trading Place and just two days ago. I purchased a 300 Blackout from these guys. I have to say they were extremely helpful and very eager to assist in every way. Proceed with caution if you are considering their gun range subscription service. When attempting to cancel, one would expect a phone call, digital form or formal email as adequate. Not the case, you get to drive back to the range to "sign documents" indicating you no longer need their services. Not sure what this accomplishes outside of making it difficult for their clientele to cancel "a gun range service". read more

wow- have I been crazy/duped ---- In April 2022 I visited Trading Places with my daughter to use the gun range. I thought I was getting a great family deal - $34.99 ..... unfortuantely I didnt realize that was going to be a MONTHLY deduction from my credit card. If that had been clearly stated to me- I would never have agreed to this "deal." (And yes I SHOULD have read all of the fine print before signing). I have never been back in Trading Places- but I just realized that they have been charging me $34.99 every month since April 2022, and they are NOW saying I am past due over $100 (because my credit card # was changed in October and the auto-drafts were not honored)... So my ONE visit to Trading Places has now cost me over $700 and their collection agency is threatening to turn the past due amount over to collection agency... WOW- I realize I should have been aware of the monthly charges- but poor Business Practice... I was led to believe that I getting a great family deal for the one time shooting experience that has now cost me a ton of money... Shame on you Trading Places of Monroe. read more

Like many others I've seen , I've walked into the range side of the pawn shop and immediately felt unwelcome in the store , they looked like they had a problem with me and wanted nothing to do with me. When I asked for 9mm ammo , he didn't ask what kind or anything he just grabbed fmj range rounds and tossed them on the counter and had attitude with me when I asked is that the only kind they have. I bought them and have regretted it ever since , I will not be going back to do business with them and will be finding somewhere else to purchase ammo and shoot at range. read more

Not a great range in my opinion. Overall cleanliness is lacking as there are shells covering the fire line, they do not sweep lanes between customers or provide a broom for you to clear it yourself. Although the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, I won't return here in the future. read more

Great range and store! Very helpful and friendly staff, excellent inventory of firearms at good prices. Very good ventilation on range. Yes, there's brass on the floor if you're not the first person in, but that's just not a big deal. It's spotless first thing in the morning and whenever the busy staff has a chance to sweep up. I have actually been in their store twice. Both times I walked through the entire pawn shop AND gun shop. Not one person said a word to me. They looked at me and smiled but never asked if I needed help even when I stood in front of the counter for a few minutes. I used to work for the Sheriff's Office and most people love this place. Guess you have to know someone or TELL them you are LE for a better experience. I never do that because I shouldn't have to. I shoot and spend my money elsewhere. read more

Started off great. I purchased a firearm from them via gunbroker.com; I immediately was contacted and given payment instructions. I contacted the gun shop I was having the firearm shipped to minutes after winning the auction and requested they send their federal firearms license (FFL) to the fax number provided to me by Tradin Place Pawn. My gun shop told me they sent it while they were on the phone with me. I called Tradin Place around four days later and requested tracking information. I was then told by their employee named Mason that they never received the FFL. At that time I asked to the fax number again and was given a DIFFERENT NUMBER. I immediately got on the phone with a different gun shop, and had them send the new FFL information. I called Tradin Place and let them know the new FFL was sent and I was told it would be shipped shortly. I was confused as to why I wasn't informed they hadn't received the first FFL that was faxed, but I decided not to worry about it. Two days after I sent the new FFL, I called asking about tracking information. I was told UPS came and picked up everything and that my firearm was on the way. I asked for tracking information and was told I would get it via e-mail. Fast forward three more days..... STILL NO TRACKING INFO. I called my local gun shop and asked about the tracking info, they did not receive anything. I called Tradin Place yet again, talked to Mason, once again, and was told the rifle did not yet ship and would be shipped to me that afternoon. I hung up the phone upset that I was being lied to, but kept telling myself it was fine, they were just busy. "At least they are polite," I thought to myself. After a few more days I contacted the owner, Blake, by e-mail. I asked for tracking information; he replied and asked for my FFL's name because all the tracking is through the FFL. I provided the name of the FFL I was using and received NOTHING in return. I went to my local gun shop a few days later and hoped the rifle was there. Lucky for me, it was. I spoke to the owner of my gun shop; he never received any information from Tradin Place. The absolute worst part of the whole experience was the last time I spoke to Mason. He must have been tired of lying and dealing with my phone calls because he YELLED at me over the phone. He lied saying he sent the tracking info to me and my FFL multiple times. Mason was a total dick. To top this all off, they lied on gunbroker.com, leaving average feedback on me saying they sent the information and I did not provide the documents in a timely manner. I will never use this gun shop again. Although I am satisfied with the product I received, their "customer service" makes me want to sell the firearm just so I don't have be reminded of their arrogance. Watch out when you deal with these people. read more

Love this gun range. Clean and comfortable with great selection of weapons and targets. Friday is no lane fee for women so this was a bonus. After doing lots of online and in person comparison shopping, this is where I purchased my handgun. Price was unbeatable! Highly recommend! read more

My daughter has been wanting to shoot with me for the last two years and I've been very reluctant to take her. Not because I didn't want her shooting, but I just didn't want to take her too early and her have a bad experience. Since she was turning 12 and she's been so persistent, I decided to go ahead and take her. I ended up choosing Trading places based off of traffic and previous experiences. This was the best choice I could've made. The staff (Scott and another young man who's name I didn't get) made this a very memorable experience for my daughter and I. Scott was extremely knowledge about his product and anything else I asked about. He was also very personable and didn't come off as a gun snob but more of a person who knew his stuff and was committed to helping others learn. Enjoy shooting at this range. Staff is great. No one sweeps up in between every customer but they do come in when they can. Mainly they are very busy helping customers. I just kick the shells out of the way if the broom isn't there. They have come through and swept when the lanes are full and the shells start piling up. I like the fact that they provide special soap to get the lead washed off your hands. Never been too hot or too cold and the lighting is good. read more
