Food was great. They had a buffet style dinner and bar area set up to the side. Dj and dance floor set up perfectly after dinner to dance the night away. With the planning over months, I never felt rushed or pressured. She thought through the way we organized the room so it fit best as to what I was looking for. She had great solutions to how to make the reception flow and to arrange the room. I sent emails with my many questions and she would answer each one. I never felt like I was being annoying emailing her so much or so often and was always available. I was so impressed with how she organized and set up the wedding and catering and it was the most perfect wedding day. It's a beautiful venue - we used the decks and the inside and it was beautiful. It's a great location on the river (Willamette) in Lake Oswego. It was amazing for guests to be inside and outside on all the decks and to be able to utilize them this June. I will always recommend the foundry for any event especially weddings! The food and the service was impeccable. The dance floor was an easy transition in the night and they were so easy to work with. I highly recommended the Foundry for any wedding or special event! I had the most perfect wedding and the best day of my life! Thank you to The Foundry!

The Oswego Heritage House is a wonderful resource for the entire community. Mark Browne, the…read morearchivist, is absolutely the most knowledgeable person about Lake Owego history and seeks to learn more all the time. He is quick to educate others and share what he thinks they will find fascinating. Mark is on a quest to know more for himself, and preserve the history, and creates exhibits that build community and community relationships. This is the best kind of museum, in my opinion, as it cultivates community and adds to the importance of knowing one another. Nancy is the Executive Director, and truly makes sure each guest of the museum and user of the space is welcomed and helped. She is quick to promote others, and advocate for the betterment of this community she calls home. It's so refreshing to visit the museum and experience the local charm, and history of Lake Oswego. It is fascinating enough for a younger person to enjoy a quick visit, and is available to be rented and used for events and parties. Nancy has made sure this museum is a resource to our community.

We are working on a project that has to do with Lake Oswego history, and had heard that this place was worth checking out. We went to walk in, only to realize that the door says it closes at 3 [website says 4].... we were about to be disappointed when we saw someone inside, so we ended up walking in. There was only one woman working [same who is always there], and she was more than happy to let us come in and peruse. The one-room exhibit had all sorts of random artifacts... from locally recovered arrowheads, to an old telephone and camera, to some great old pictures, to antique clocks. While we did enjoy checking those out, we learned much more from the woman...who walked around with us explaining and expanding upon the info that was there. She was very friendly, and full of interesting tidbits about the community and it's history. The kids loved talking to her, and she laughed and was 'interested' in what they had to say as well. Before we left, she even fired up an old victrola and played us a few albums... to which she laughed and danced with us... the kids loved it! Quite a random little place, but glad that we stopped. Apparently they host all sorts of events, and have new exhibits every month... so we'll probably wander back in again sometime. And hey, it's free! If you live in LO and/or are interested in it's history... I'd suggest a stop. Not a place I'd drive across town to visit, but it was definitely a fun and educational experience.... you have to appreciate those who preserve and teach others about local history [or at least I know that I do!].

It was a touch weird to see the performers with head set microphones and also holding microphones but also having a bit aggressive on the sound. It is a small space and seemed to be set to levels that would sound a venue twice this size. Seat comfort can always be better. I was shocked there was zero bathroom line as they have one. As someone with a peanut sized bladder, I will never complain about an available restroom that is clean and has soap and all the papers. And now, a small rant. I am not 'sober' but I don't tend to drink while out and about and I have quite a few sober friends due to recovery or even a few are actually allergic to alcohol (I am allergic to hops and agave, aka tequila). Several of the friends I go to things with are one of these so I don't drink. I am also many times the one driving. Can I just get a Coke or Pepsi... seriously, the options to not drink beer or wine is kombucha, coffee or hot cocoa??? We seriously thought she was kidding. Thanks for having a tap with water? But kombucha? Here, since you don't want booze, how about vinegar....
