This is a very clean park in the middle of town. There is a bus stop there to take you to the sights. It was very hot, so we drove up to near the ski area and the temps went from 93 to 66, very close. Lots of restaurants snd shopping around, so close to everything. Park is gravel on concrete. We had shade trees and some parts are really shady. Hosts are very nice and great tour guides. We didn't use the baths but laundry good, $2 load. They have a dog walk up front and a giant dog park about .3 mile from front. It's a walk, but nice. Wifi is pretty much non-existent. Tried to pick up local channels thru air since no cable, but couldn't get any locals. Had to stream Cowboys/Buccs game via ATT but still blurry. Probably a good thing. If you are in Santa Fe to sightsee, this is a great place. Go to MeowWolf. Eat at La Choza. Get Bryan's Auto Detail to come clean your RV. read more

A SAD GOODBYE !! First off, the team at trailer ranch is phenomenal and they go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. Reservations, check in, parking assistance, grounds keeping, maintenance - EVERYTHING !! I have never seen a harder working team of people, raking, mowing, watering, and going the extra mile to just be good humans!! All that said is this place perfect?, No. - but is there truly a perfect in-city RV campground? No there is not. The main problem for me is the noise from Cerritos Blvd. Nothing can stop this as young New Mexico drivers seem to be "praised" and "adored" for removing their mufflers from their cars and racing away from every stop light. All this leads to my initial point. This campground was likely plotted in the 1950's when this part of Sante Fe was ranches way outside of the metro and road noise was never an issue... The vintage-ness exudes from this place and provides it with its charm - It brings back memories of road trips in the backwards facing seat way in the back of the Country Squire Station Wagon and Olds Vista cruiser wagon - Even visits to summer camp in the 1960/70's. This campground is actually a tiny piece of Americana that will be lost in a few months, never to be again. Beautiful tress to be eliminated and vintage adobe buildings to be razed. If my information is correct, this is the last summer, and this site will fall to the hands of developers to build another ugly mini mall or faceless and devoid of personality condo buildings. A sad farewell to the place and to all the people who have kept this place all these years - PLEASE DO STAY HERE until it all ends. I am unsure of the dates. read more

The site was ok and the facilities were clean. What really ticked me off was the truly horrible Wi-Fi. The write up says they have Wi-Fi that is good enough for email but don't count on it. Even when it says you're connected it does nothing. Their solution is to put it on their customers, "If it's not good enough for you go get your own". Really? I've stayed at parks costing half as much and didn't have a problem. I guess they don't really care about a service that those who wander depend on. read more

(+) I stumbled upon Trailer Ranch by accident, seeing their signs advertising Senior and Adult RV Park. "Noice!," I thought, "A little slice of a time gone by," by all exterior appearances. (+) I turned in to Trailer Ranch's Entrance, pulled over, looked up their website, fingers crossed! (-) Owww! A NO GO. (-) Trailer Ranch's website is initially appealing, but too verbose (who am I to criticize, though, right?). Additionally, one must hopscotch from point to point on their website and what you think might be an inquiry is a reservation/agreement. (-) While pulled over on the premises, by one of their buildings and out of the way, I immediately became the point of interest for several guests. I do understand neighborhood watches, promoting safety, etc., but I gained a sense that I might be chased out with pitchforks (think Beauty & The Beast), I carefully and slowly (5 mph) exited, no looking back. (-) EXPENSIVE nightly rate of $70 with a 2 night minimum. (-) TRAFFIC NOISE IS INSANELY LOUD HERE! (-) NO LATE ARRIVALS. (-) NO LATE ARRIVALS or possibility of reserving online for the night, after 5:30 pm, which is uncommon these days. read more

We really like this campground. It is clean and one of the only parks around Santa Fe that has trees, and cement pads. We have stayed here many times, the pool is very refreshing on a hot day. This R V Park is close to everything, great restaurants and shopping. read more

We stayed at Trailer Ranch for a week in one of their premium sites. We had a nice spot with a concrete slab to park our rig. The staff were nice, especially Tom. This is a well-maintained park. The laundry room is nice and has a folding table for your clothes. We were not fans of the showers. Very narrow and they have the shower caddy's mounted on the wall outside of the showers. The water was hot and had good pressure though, so that was a plus. read more

This is a very clean park. You are not right on top of each other. The staff are friendly and informative. I only gave it 3 stars because just outside the park are homeless people haggling you. I wanted to walk my dogs outside of the park but was told not to because of the area. It's too bad it's located in such a bad area of town. You can ride your bike to the river bike trail, which is nice, but getting there can be a challenge, you share the road with 4 lanes of traffic. Eat at The Ranch House for good food. Rustica next door is also good Italian. read more

We stayed here for a month recently and have to say this was our least favorite place we've stayed thus far. We're FT campers so we stay at a lot of places. I will say that the staff were super nice! The ladies in the office were very friendly and the grounds crew always waved and said hello. For the amount we paid for a month we expected more for our money. The Resort is right off Cerrillos which is a main road in Santa Fe. Our site was only four spots away from the road and it was VERY loud at night! The spots are so close together that there is very little space between you and your neighbor. And if your neighbor happens to have slide outs.. say goodbye to your space. The park isn't very dog friendly either. Dogs are not allowed to go on the grass and the dog park isn't anything special. Be aware especially if you're a female walking super early in the morning or late in the evening.. there are homeless guys that would sleep in the little dog area in the front of the park within the Resort. This happened on three separate occasions while we were there. A little unnerving for the price you pay. Bathrooms and laundry were clean. If you're wanting internet.. forget about it! We could hardly get on which stunk for us bc we needed internet for work. Cable also didn't work for us or for many others we spoke with. If you're a VERIZON Wireless subscriber chances are you won't get a signal at this park. We had to go to AT&T and buy a hotspot. Also, if you need to wash your vehicle or truck it's $15. Which to us considering we were there for a month seemed absurd. Why not let longer guest have that as a perk? No campfires or charcoal grills. Also plan to check in prior to 5:30 PM otherwise you won't get in that day. This is crazy.. what campsite/Resort closes at 5:30?!? Recommend this be at least 8! We will definitely come to Santa Fe again however will stay somewhere else next time. read more

Friendly staff and well run Urban RV park. Don't be sold on spots close to the road as the 6-Lane traffic is very noisy all day and all night. Service is a tad rigid about not allowing dogs on the grass. It could be a result of people who didn't pick up after their pets. That certainly makes it less appealing for us responsible pet owners. read more

I had my doubts about this RV park since it's on a busy street, but it's quiet at night. We stayed here for three nights and enjoyed our visit. There are trees and that's a big plus! There's a bus stop to downtown Santa Fe in front that will get you to the plaza in about 25 minutes, about the same time you can drive. Very clean bathrooms, laundry facility, and activity center. The staff is helpful and friendly. I'd definitely stay here again. read more

Boy do I have a review for you!!! If I can prevent one person from making the same mistake we did by staying in this place, I will consider this review a success. First things first. this place advertises that they are "dog friendly" yet, posted at every single grassy spot on the property are "please keep dogs off of grass" signs. they have a dedicated, fenced in dog walk you say?? yea right! It's a completely barren area, reminiscent of a scene from the walking dead. A post apocalyptic cesspool of thorny plants and burrs. I felt like I had just stepped into an alternate universe, immediately after a nuclear holocaust. One of our dogs got a bur in his pad while doing business. Noisy!! this place backs up to the "main drag" that runs thru town. Sirens going off at all hours. Apparently it's hip and cool to own a car that sounds like an angry bumble bee in Santa Fe, and one drives by about every 10 or 15 min. What's that you say? you want a wake up call? hope you need it set for 5am, because thats when the recycling truck rolls thru and dumps all the trash cans full of glass bottles. nope, thats not someone running into a tree on the street, thats the recycling truck! Don't be late! no checking in any later than 5:30pm. This has got to be the weirdest rule I have ever heard. who does this rule benefit other than the people running the office? the place is noisy no matter what time of day it is. we had to pack up camp at the stop previous to this one at the butt crack of dawn to make sure we didn't have to squat in a Walmart parking lot for the night because we missed the check in time. kiss that reservation money goodbye too. are you familiar with the term "theft"? To expand on the previous observation. upon our arrival, we were placed in two spots, one of which had absolutely no shade. We had requested spaces with shade, and when we mentioned this to the staff in the office, their recommendation to us was to find somewhere else to stay!! they had absolutely no interest in offering some sort of alternative space or solution to the issue. now that's some stellar hospitality if you ask me. Vagrants galore!! we had one sneak up behind our RV in our camp site with a baby in a stroller, and some sob story of how her car broke down and she had to sleep in it last night. It was a little unsettling to us because she was very persistent and wouldn't leave. What part of "we don't want whatever it is you're selling" don't you understand lady? there were signs posted, "no soliciting or panhandling" but nothing was enforced. Children, We didn't have any, but I don't really understand the hatred for the little ones. this place doesn't allow anyone under the age of 21 to stay overnight. Success!!!! what did you succeed at you might ask? you made sure that the only people staying here are a whole bunch of grumpy old farts!!! cars drove by all the time, not a single wave was given.... I swear I saw Walter Matthau drive by, with a sour pus face on. Please, I'm begging you, Don't make the same mistake we did, and believe any of the false promises these people spew. spend your hard earned money elsewhere!! read more

I would give the Trailer Ranch 5 stars, but what may rate that high for me may not be agreeable to others (even though it is a 5 for us). We were there 7/26-7/30, our second visit in two years. We had heard about them from other RV friends whom we trust. This is an RV park and 55+ community, with 50 spaces available. It is small and because of the closeness of the sites, it is intimate. That's what we like. But, it handles the big class A's as well as our little 19 footer. It is very well kept, and if you need the rest rooms and showers, they are very clean. What we also like about the Trailer Ranch is the shade canopy, and the closeness to the Plaza, about 3 miles north on Cerillos. Santa Fe is notorious for parking in the Plaza area, so if you don't want to drive, there is a bus stop outside the park. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and quite frankly, we wouldn't stay anywhere else. read more

Should have read the reviews before we booked for 10 days. Non refundable. The price was good, the park is clean and well taken care of, the short and long term residents are pleasant, Chris was friendly and helpful on multiple occasions. Jodi, who is the manager and maybe owner is not. We communicated with her all day on our way in and ended up an hour and 15 minutes later than we intended due to wind. She informed us she closes at 4pm. We were going to show up at 4:12pm after traveling all day and communicating with her the whole time and she wouldn't wait and didn't have an after hours check in. We had to stay somewhere else for the night last minute at another expense to us. A long term resident told us that she didn't like his skirting and he had to submit a new skirting plan for her approval and while he was waiting for her approval his pipe froze and burst. We're on night 2. Will update after 10 days. But currently, underwhelmed. UPDATE: still underwhelmed. For a place called a resort and in the hospitality industry the only thing/person hospitable was Chris, who we saw the first day and helped us park and one time after. It's not bad but it's not good and I can't get over how we were treated the first day we were supposed to be parked here. We won't be back. There are plenty of other parks to choose from in the area. read more

We stayed here 7 nights in July 2017. What we liked about it was how close it was to downtown, $1. senior pass for the day to ride the bus, can't beat that. The laundry and shower area was very clean, I liked that they had a large clothes line for you to use. The grassy area in front of the bathrooms was great and we got very good WiFi reception there. Enjoyed the fact it's 55+. The front desk and groundskeeper were very friendly. What we didn't care for was the pool closed so early I think 8pm, that was about the time we wanted to go! Yes the spaces are close together, but we weren't there much during the day. It may not be a place for you if you want to camp, but if you want a place to park while you enjoy the sites of Santa Fe, this may do it. Just be aware they do have their rules, so if they don't suit you don't stay here. read more

First yelp review ever but i feel it is warranted. Made reservations with Trailer Ranch a couple weeks ago and specifically indicated that i would be staying in a chevy cruze i have converted to a camper. Received a voicemail which i saved letting me know that would be fine and confirming my reservation. Arrived today at 1:15pm and David Miller /owner let me know i could not stay there and he would issue me a refund. He stated he doesn't allow anyone "sleeping in their car". I played him the message and he let me know he is the owner and has final say. I drove 7 hours from colorado and would have happily stayed somewhere else if i had been told this before i arrived David Miller is the owner and let me know this multiple times. He did issue a refund after letting me bask in his horrible attitude/customer service experience. Dog was cute though. read more

We were quite disappointed with Trailer Ranch. First of all, when I went in to ask a question, the response was not service oriented. I felt like I was an intrusion. Second, don't go there if you have a dog that has been trained to go on grass. There's plenty of grass, but "no dogs on grass" signs everywhere. We had to walk our dog down the street to the Motel 6 so he could do his business. Maybe that should be disclosed on the website a Third, almost walked on poop in my site. read more

I was at first somewhat comfortable. I came in as a longterm guest--a "transient," named by management. I had the MOST horrible spot. I have an 18 foot trailer, and I was set into a shadeless spot for a double wide mobile home. After a little more than a month, I was told I had to move to another spot, and I really liked it. I was "allowed" after 3 months to move to a longterm spot for 325.00 less per month. I was told that I have to move by a certain time because they had rented the spot I was in already. When I went to pay my rent, I expected them to prorate my spot. They would not! I am so shocked. The owner began to berate me, saying things like, "I am sick of you! I want you to leave!" I will say, from the very first day I was here, every person i met warned me about the management. No, I would not recommend this place to anyone. And most people who are here for any length of time do not recommend it. I would say to you, if you are considering Trailer Ranch RV Resort that you beware what lurks behind pretty adobe walls! read more

Stayed in October. Very nice park right in town. Friendly office staff. Escort to site with parking help. Back-in site with nice separation between neighbors. Large, paved, level site with a nice spot to park our Jeep. Grass area right behind the site but no dogs allowed on any of their grass. Fortunately, there is a fenced dog park just a couple blocks away. You walk through the neighborhood which butts right up to the back of park. WiFi was good. Verizon was slow, especially in the evening. read more

The park is exceptionally well maintained and very clean. All of the employees are very friendly. The sites are close together but that was expected for an RV park in town. Our only big complaint was the jerk parked next to us. Obviously the quiet time is not enforced. He started his motor home at 6 this morning and let it run for 2 hours. He turned it off for 15 minutes and then back on for 45 more minutes. I guess we were done sleeping at 6. Not really the parks fault but someone should have heard it and had him turn it off. read more

Dogs poop, right? I stayed here earlier this year and was welcomed by friendly staff. My little 7 lb. dog liked the small walking areas and the opportunity to eat some grass. I know NO dogs on the grass, but they love it so..... When I returned recently, specifically because the staff was so welcoming, I had a different experience......After paying for a month and informing the staff that I would like to stay an additional 30 days, as was the required notice....I was walking my dog and he accidentally pooped on the grass.....yikes. The owner saw it and very imfactitly reminded me about the rules....,NO dogs on the grass. My reply was, "its just poop and I picked it up". Lesson learned. Two days later the other owner, whom I've never seen or met called me to remind me about the rules and to tell me that "they are losing money to let me stay another 30 days" What??????. I told her I would be in to speak to her and pay her for the month tomorrow, as required. She said some choice words and I thought that was that.....She then called and left me a message "they have decided that I can stay one more week, at the weekly rate and then I have to leave....,,,What? Because my dog pooped? Sadly $925 per month isn't enough for this park, so I was now charged $312 for one week....and they are "losing money". Sadly many people at the park bring their dogs and I have seen them on the grass. Additionally I have seen people with laundry hanging near their RV and open fires. I guess the rules are only for the chosen few. Sad their behavior is so skewed. read more

Right off Cerrillos road, so easy access and short drive into historic downtown. Our spot was very close to the road, but the noise was negligible. The laundry, bathroom and shower facilities were all very clean and well maintained. At the west end of the mobile home park was a fenced half acre dog park. Our greyhounds loved running and playing amongst the pinyon trees. read more

Very nice park and worth the price. They were great about helping us get a shadier spot as soon as one opened up. The sites are large, graveled (with cement pad for the newer, nice picnic tables) and pleasant, and Santa Fe is just up the road 3-4 miles, where folks are paying the big bucks. It is on a busy street but really not that noisy, and almost silent at night. Laundry room is super clean and has plenty of newer, efficient machines at decent pricing. Haven't tried the pool but it looks clean and pleasant. The wifi has been just fine so far. Extremely clean grounds with nice plantings and everything considered and working. VERY nice, responsible people running it, who realize that if they make us happy we'll be back. We will be! read more

A wonderful campground: from receiving the call before our arrival for confirmation, to arriving to a mostly shaded campground with ample and wide sites, to a nice greeting, the Trailer Ranch RV Park was a gem along our 12 day Southwestern trip. We back up to an area of grass, and the campground is very quiet. Yes, they do have full-time residents in mobile homes, but they are positioned in the rear of the park. Will NEVER stay here again! When I checked in I was told I had to wait for Gus to take me to my spot. The site was small and too tight for my RV; I had to make two passes to try and fit. Gus was rude and told me I wasn't doing it right (I have parked my RV 50 times with no help and no trouble). He then proceeded to wave me to back up--right into a building roof!!! I now have a hole in the side of my rig, which he blamed on me! When we asked the office for a ladder so I could tape over the hole since it was going to rain, they told us no. Gus eventually showed back up with a ladder and did a horrible job of taping over the hole. I have never had such an awful experience at a park--I have stayed at dozens-and never been treated so rudely and disrespectfully. read more

We stayed for two nights, and had a site near the front entrance. Lots of big shade trees and a park-like setting, which was nice. Although we had some street noise, overall it's peaceful and quiet, we liked that it was adults only, so no screaming children running around. We don't have pets, but it's understandable that they don't want dogs on their nice green front lawn. The gal in the office was very friendly and we appreciated her showing us some tourist attractions/areas of interest on the map of Santa Fe. This part of town seemed kind of sketchy, you see an occasional homeless person or drug addict walking in that part of town, but it's fairly close to the tourist area of Santa Fe (about 3-4 miles) and there's places to eat and shopping near the RV park (Walmart, Target, Panda Express, Panera, etc) for a quick bite or to stock up on supplies. The sites are a little close, but we had a concrete pad and clean picnic table, so we didn't care. Besides, most of the time we were out sightseeing so it doesn't matter anyway. No cable. The site was level enough, although I wish we had some levelers. We would come back here if we ever visited Santa Fe again. Nice stay. read more

I am a frequent traveler roaming the USA in my RV 3-4 months every year. I like to think of myself as a modern day nomad traveling from town to town and stopping to explore when the mood strikes. Generally I don't have an agenda and don't look for overnight accommodations until day's end. Options include Walmart parking lots, state and national campgrounds, and RV parks of all kinds. Suffice to say I have much basis for comparison. Seldom do I consider a park memorable but this one is. This park is very close to the Plaza and Canyon Road so the location is very good. It is on a busy street so there is some street noise. We travel with our dogs so we were happy to read reviews about good dog facilities. We were disappointed in this area. The dog park was an unkempt area in the back of the park with no grass, just dirt, rocks, and brush. The sites are very close in the park so there is not much privacy, but the park is well kept and landscaped well. It does have lots of nice trees and is clean. I would stay there again. read more

I have been warned about the management running this park by many, but I thought these were just rumours. Today, when I walked in asking for help regarding a stored unit, I was told by a male employee flat out, "I am not going to do anything about it." This was stated rudely in the presence of a recently arrived client. I am sure that the recently arrived client was having second thoughts about staying in place where one is treated in such an asinine manner. I think the management should review such behavior and perhaps provide some productive training on customer service. For my part, I will simply avoid dealing with the management of Trailer Ranch as much as possible. Seriously, I have not been treated with such disdain and disrespect. There is no good reason for such petty behavior and what could have been taken care of easily was handled very poorly. Best of luck to you if you should find yourself on the bad side of management; it is not a pretty picture, and is belittling of the park. read more
