The big wraparound porch was our favorite spot to relax, whether sipping morning coffee or enjoying a glass of wine at sunset. There we met Brent, his partner, who was equally as charming and funny. They were magnificent hosts throughout our stay! We only wish we had stayed on a weekend so that we could enjoy the luxurious brunch we had seen in photos. However, since we woke up on a weekday, we each received a $25 breakfast voucher to use at one of 3 local eateries. We opted for Bella Bakery on Lincoln. Thanks for the rec, Brent! It did not disappoint and those vouchers were plentiful. I also really appreciated the little details, like the complimentary water, the snack bags for the next day, and the toiletries in our bathroom. Despite property descriptions and their website, I did not witness anything luxury about this place, apart from the diner. I was at the property for only a couple of hours but that was more than enough. -Photos are a bit deceiving - everything in real life is a lot smaller, especially the pool and bathrooms. I sat down on the toilet and my knees were bumping against the bathroom door. Pool size was not fit for the amount of guests the property can accommodate and looks twice as big in the photos. -No sound isolation whatsoever. You can hear people sneeze/talk/get changed in the rooms next to yours, no sense of privacy whatsoever. To add to this disaster, each room is operated by a PIN code rather than a key. In our case, rather than showing or handing us the PIN, the host just said the PIN out loud for us to try out from the hallway - the implication being that other people probably heard it and our room was essentially unlocked for everybody. I had more privacy when I lived in student halls at uni than at this ''luxury'' chateau. -I had a query about our reservation where we initially wanted to stay an extra night at the property, however, it was near impossible to get hold of the property - 3 contact numbers, 2 email addresses and Booking messaging system later, we finally received a 1-sentence response via Booking messenger with the property completely misunderstanding our request and providing the wrong advice which completely paralysed our options when it came to our time in Napa valley. Their attempt to remedy the situation was a bottle of wine - which we explained we're unlikely to be able to accept as we're due to catch a flight back and our luggage was already full. No other offers or solutions to rectify the poor customer experience. Overall, not worth the money, especially considering the service.

We had fresh fruit and home baked muffins for breakfast, and a complimentary bottle of white wine. My bed was a little harder and uncomfortable compared to my friend's bed in the main room that was softer and more comfortable. The properly is beautiful and you can see Sterling Vineyards from the hot tube. Overall, a hidden gem and a perfect spot to stay while I'm Calistoga. We stayed in the Dutch Henry Suite.

Nice touch, but for a longtime bed and breakfast traveller, I really did miss the morning dining room breakfast usually made by the host. . always a great way to get back on the road after a hot meal made by the innkeeper. I hate to give this review but wanted to let potential guests know that the value didn't equal the price. Ed and Mimi were very nice hosts. The breakfasts were homemade and healthy. Most everything came from their garden. The beds were comfortable and my room was fairly large. The problem is the farmhouse is a little run down. I had ants in my room, the deck was covered in debris from the various trees. Very close to St. Helena off a busy highway. It was not hard to get in and out but it wasn't the quiet place advertised. Again, nice people, the Inn just a bit worn.

The carpet was thick and the bed sheets did not have that bleach rough texture you often find in any hotel these days. The courtyard offered a pool and an amazing hot tub surrounded by lounge areas and fire pits. We spent the evening in the hot tub looking at stars and full moon, drinking some wine we picked up along the way. No glass allowed in pool area but they provided plastic wine glasses. The breakfast was sit down style and you selected a few options as part of the package. You could add on for a fee. The English muffin is to die for and domes from local bakery. We stopped at Oakville Grocery on our way and had a nice little charcuterie in our room to snack on. Highly recommend as a stop for treats it's only 6 minutes away. We walked to dinner at Rutherfords Grill that's just across parking lot. You can easily go to the winery near by as well. Overall we were just two girls having a great road trip but I'd recommend this for honeymoon as or romantic getaway as well. Perfect!!
