Amazing food and tons of great beers to choose from. Probably my favorite restaurant/ bar to go to. Also kids are never allowed in wooh! The only problem with this place is that it can get VERY loud to the point of me hardly being able to talk to the person I'm there with. This was my 2nd visit to Train Wreck and I will be back again and again! I went with a friend for lunch and we each had a burger. I had the Walla Walla grilled onion burger and she had the Derailed burger. We both loved our burgers, but the hand cut fries... oh my goodness... they were hot out of the fryer and were like heaven on a plate!! SO TOTALLY delish! I have been to the Trainwreck a couple of times now and I absolutely love the food and drinks, that alone could earn you 5 stars! The reason that I am only leaving 4 is because our server (Tristana) was having rather inappropriate sexual conversations. While she was not talking to us directly, her conversations could very easily be heard by us and other customers as well. I do not take great offense to it, but I am sure there are many other people who would find her words incredibly uncomfortable and not acceptable. Keep up the great work on the food, kudos to the kitchen! read more

Extremely popular local joint. Fresh local ingredients, some unique items to keep the menu interesting. The best clam chowder ever. Excellent specials. I like the lunch break, which is a salmon (or you can choose something besides salmon) sandwich, salad and chowder. Also, the Skagit burger is so good. They have a apple, candied pecan, blue cheese salad that's delish. Homemade salad dressings and lots of options. I'm not a beer drinker but I know they have loads of selections. My wife, my sister, and I ended up taking a detour for gas that meant by the time we got to where we were going it was pretty late. We looked up a couple place to eat and picked Train Wreck Bar. I've gotta say, this place was amazing. We walked in less than an hour before closing and the staff was so great. The food we ordered was delicious and the place it self is clean and charming. I'm never really this far south but I find myself planning to come back here when I do find myself down here. This was one of the best parts of a stressful few days of travel and misadventures. I'm done with Train Wreck. I keep going back wanting it to be what it was, but those days are apparently gone. After much poking from my wife, I finally agreed to go back. I thought, I will have a burger. Those are always good at Train Wreck. I watched as the table of 8 dudes next to us, who arrived at the same time we did, get their burgers before us. Then, we waited an additional 20 minutes for ours. It was so aggravating. The burgers come, and by now I am so annoyed that I don't even care if they taste good because I've already decided that I am not going back to this joint ever again. The burgers were both dry and the sautéed onions that came on it were completely flavorless. Like, throw a pinch of salt on them or something for christ's sake. Not that the onions matter much when the meat that they come on is thin and dry. I've tried Train Wreck. I really have. I feel like this break up is very abusive. I keep coming back, and you keep disappointing me. I long for the old days when you were the peanut butter to my jelly. The hot dog to my bun! I will miss you. Bye Felicia. read more

You would miss this place if you didn't know where you were going! Off the main road on a side street but just follow the train tracks because it will shake the building. There you go it's near the train tracks! I feel most of their business is word of mouth. Our friends from Calabasas, CA were passing thru the area and told us about it. We summer on Anacortes and ride our Harleys around the mountains and stopped by one day for lunch. Very biker friendly, plenty of scooter parking. Bar area with excellent local crafted beers, cute, friendly gals running bar and restaurant side of business. All the men are in kitchen cooking where they should be right! Typical bar friendly foods prepared tasty and not over run with grease. Fish and chips done up just right, nice breading. Fish tacos Mai Mai are delicious and very spicy, kind of finger licking good! A must stop on your Harley or in your car when in Burlington. read more

I've heard alot about The Train Wreck and decided it was time to try it out. It's in an old brick building next to the tracks in downtown Burlington. Think old building meets cool, funky pub. The atmosphere is loud and fun with quirky, tatted waitresses. The food is....think pub food on steroids with better flavors. I ordered the halibut sandwich with pecan and apple salad with vinegarette dressing. The sandwich was served on a hoagie with grilled halibut chunks, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeños, and mayo dressing. It was a tasty combo especially with the cucumber and jalapeño. The salad was good but the dressing was definitely lacking flavor. They need to add dijon mustard and a bit of brown sugar. I ordered berry crisp with vanilla ice cream for dessert. It wasnt good. The crisp was too sweet with too much nutmeg and not enought berries. Final thought....big portions with good flavor but don't order dessert. read more

Came here for breakfast and ordered coffee. Waitress brought me a mug of plain water. I called her back over and she laughed and said she didn't notice. Then she brought the coffee and gave it to my husband instead. No tip. No return. The food was delicious but the service left a bad taste in my mouth. read more
