The Dude and I are staying in Anacortes for the long weekend, and I've been dying to try Tasha Lee's. We headed over for dinner to celebrate a special occasion, and we were glad we'd made a reservation because the place was packed! The ambiance here is dark and elegant - not something I necessarily expect in Anacortes, but it set the perfect tone for a special evening. Our server, Aimee, who I knew from local Yelp events years ago, was absolutely fantastic. She knew everything on the menu, and by the time she described everything we asked about, we had trouble not ordering it all. But first, we started with a bottle of perfectly chilled sauv blanc while we perused the menu. I was impressed by the varied selection of food. They have everything from burgers to ribeye, and all very fairly priced. We started with an order of calamari, perfectly fried and served with a citrussy, aioli-style sauce. For dinner, Dude loved their fish 'n chips while I devoured a plate of fresh king salmon served atop crispy risotto and the most amazing pesto lemon cream sauce. After we enjoyed sharing a dish of tasty creme brulee, Aimee shared that they serve brunch here too! I had no idea, but looking at the menu and hearing that they serve mimosas, we'll definitely be back. We also got a mini tour of their adorable speakeasy style bar and huge in-progress beer garden too. I'm definitely keeping Tasha Lee's on my Anacortes rotation!

This place was beautiful and I love how you can watch sushi being made in the first dining room. It was very comfortable, spacious and inviting which was great! Our server was friendly and super helpful with explaining the drinks and food. I got a beautifully made dirty martini and had the special which was steamers and mussels with a garlic caper wine sauce. It was EXCELLENT!!! Hubby got the elk burger and probably one of best fries either of us has ever had! We also started with some delicious spiced carrots! Zero complaints! Thank you!

Short and sweet it's good but not great, awesome for large parties doe. Would stay for the drinks but the food was so so. Lasagna, philly, and shrimp n grits were all served a bit cold cause it came out all at once. Flavor wise a bit lacking, it was as if mike tyson was pulling punches against his fight with logan paul. Bulk approved and cool ambiance

2/23/25 Wow, wow, wow! Need I say more? Okay, I will. We arrived around 10:45am and were lucky enough to get a table right away. About a half hour later, the place was packed. The food was absolutely outstanding. The calamari was fresh. My boyfriend and I split the Philly cheesesteak with beer cheese and the Smash burger with dragon cheddar and fries. All of it was incredible. Next time I'll try the Philly cheesesteak with provolone, though. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated, and the seats are comfortable. Service was very friendly and a bit chaotic. We had to ask for napkins and flatware, and one of the servers was running around like a chicken with its' head cut off. I stopped watching her because I was starting to feel stressed out too. I'm looking forward to returning and trying some other items on the menu.

Chicken Fried Steak, Poached Eggs, Grits and Flaky Biscuit. Delicious, as was the Ruby Slipper!

Get in here and eat! Love the eclectic vibe. Great service. Inventive cocktails. Just yum!

We came to this place after reading all their raving reviews. The store is located in downtown Anacortes off of the main street. There are plenty of parking spots available. The inside was packed when we went, but there were only two waitresses working that day. Therefore, we had to wait 15 minutes to get seated, and then other 15 minutes before our order was taken. After ordering, the food came out after 20 minutes. It felt quit long especially since we were hungry. We tried the loco moco and the biscuit and gravy. Both were phenomenal and very reasonably priced. However, we found their portions to be on the smaller side. After one finishing my entrée, I only felt 70% full and was craving for more. However, I couldn't justify myself to order another entrée that I wouldn't be able to finish and have to wait another 20 minutes for.

    Rock fish sandwich

Ambiance was cozy. Wait staff professional and gave a feeling of a higher end restaurant. The carrots with goat cheese were so good!! Also the dragon sushi roll was well worth it for the price. Would definitely go back for dinner there again and I live over an hour away. Rockfish sandwich had a good amount of lettuce and sauce & the fish was flaky inside, crispy outside.

Check out the night-blooming flower just inside the door. It opened up for us.

This place checks all the boxes: Great food, great staff, great ambiance. The seasonally updated menu is *just daring enough* without being intimidating. Recently enjoyed a fabulous elk and Brie burger. Fish and chips are 10/10. Cocktail menu is fun and fresh. We love that the owner is on site, waiting tables and making recommendations.

Anytime we're in town, it's a MUST. my favorite part is that it's probably one of the only spots where I go and I truly don't know what I'm getting cause there are so many good options.

We happened upon this place while visiting the Anacortes Art Festival and realized we'd discovered a favorite new place to dine! The owner and staff clearly care about their diners. The service was excellent and the food was one "oh wow!" after another. The Halloumi cheese sandwich and gyro were excellent. The lemongrass coconut martini is my favorite new cocktail. Beware, it goes down easily, it's so delicious - no doubt a treat with or without alcohol. The environment is charming. All around great experience!

we had a cute visitor on the patio! i think it was a katydid

I really like the back back bar and the burger is worth it. The Bartender is friendly and she really made us feel at home.

Is there a bar in the back?

Yes! A cool little speakeasy! There's also a sunny beer garden "The Back Yard" that's great!

Moby Dick's is obviously a busy place in the summer, being right across from the waterfront -- but…read morein January, it's a sleepy area and the restaurant is active, but not too busy. We found the food unremarkable - standard fish, standard chips, standard coleslaw, standard tartar sauce. All fried food is pretty standard, pretty greasy, but not any better or worse than many fish & chips shops. So why a 3-star rating rather than 4-stars? First, there is there menu and pricing: What is called a 1-piece fish & chips comes with 2 pieces - all identified fish comes with one extra piece. It's a gimmick, and mostly just annoying. 2nd, there is a charge for everything -- Want tartar sauce? There are three sizes, three prices. Want to substitute onion rings for the fries? Can't do it, even with an up-charge, though you can order fish and you can order onion rings, each separately, each with its own price. Coleslaw? Yes, but not instead of fries. And the coleslaw is pricey - a good sized portion, but a substantial price none-the-less. The portion sizes are reasonably large, but the incessant a-la-carte with each item with a price - one feels nickled and dimed to death. The atmosphere - ok, 1950s-ish, nothing special. The staff, friendly and attentive, but young and inexperienced. And then there was the problem with the cooking -- we got 5 pieces of fish (ordered 2 and 1, which is really 2+1 and 1+1 = 5). Four of them were pretty standard. One was undercooked - cooked on the outer edges (under the fried batter), and raw and translucent on the inside. Yes, they took that off the ticket, so I didn't have to pay for it, but biting into a piece of raw fish with the outside so hot it almost burned my mouth and the inside uncooked - not so pleasant. Moby Dick's gets good ratings from many Yelpers, but in my view, it's not worth going out of your way for.

This is probably the best fish and chips ive have up here in washington (idk you would call it fish…read moreand chips; but its fried fish and fries) ‍ and its a fish house restaurant not a fish and chips; but whatever; either way it was really delicous. I like it better how the fish fried w/ panko instead of old fashion batter. I like it better than Proper Fish; but again idk if thats truely comparable. It was rainy and we had the doggos so we had order the foods to go and ate them at the car. The sevice was fast and the two ladies working were super friendly. What we got: Alaskan cod 4.5/5 Nicely fried and the fish good as is without any sauce. Halibut 5/5 This was our favorite out of the two; realy nicely fried and the fish is just so flaky and taste great as is. Onion ring 5/5 My wife love onion rings and she said this was the best so far; it was perfect amount of batter and nicely fried as well. Both fish were great; the fries......its alright. They mightve fried them a bit too long; we still finish them tho Including tips; i paid $80 for all three; but i wouldnt mind paying knowing that its gna be great! We will be back for sure and tried their other offering; specially when the patio area is open; and i hope they are consistenly good.
