The Dude and I are staying in Anacortes for the long weekend, and I've been dying to try Tasha Lee's. We headed over for dinner to celebrate a special occasion, and we were glad we'd made a reservation because the place was packed! The ambiance here is dark and elegant - not something I necessarily expect in Anacortes, but it set the perfect tone for a special evening. Our server, Aimee, who I knew from local Yelp events years ago, was absolutely fantastic. She knew everything on the menu, and by the time she described everything we asked about, we had trouble not ordering it all. But first, we started with a bottle of perfectly chilled sauv blanc while we perused the menu. I was impressed by the varied selection of food. They have everything from burgers to ribeye, and all very fairly priced. We started with an order of calamari, perfectly fried and served with a citrussy, aioli-style sauce. For dinner, Dude loved their fish 'n chips while I devoured a plate of fresh king salmon served atop crispy risotto and the most amazing pesto lemon cream sauce. After we enjoyed sharing a dish of tasty creme brulee, Aimee shared that they serve brunch here too! I had no idea, but looking at the menu and hearing that they serve mimosas, we'll definitely be back. We also got a mini tour of their adorable speakeasy style bar and huge in-progress beer garden too. I'm definitely keeping Tasha Lee's on my Anacortes rotation! read more

2/23/25 Wow, wow, wow! Need I say more? Okay, I will. We arrived around 10:45am and were lucky enough to get a table right away. About a half hour later, the place was packed. The food was absolutely outstanding. The calamari was fresh. My boyfriend and I split the Philly cheesesteak with beer cheese and the Smash burger with dragon cheddar and fries. All of it was incredible. Next time I'll try the Philly cheesesteak with provolone, though. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated, and the seats are comfortable. Service was very friendly and a bit chaotic. We had to ask for napkins and flatware, and one of the servers was running around like a chicken with its' head cut off. We came to this place after reading all their raving reviews. The store is located in downtown Anacortes off of the main street. There are plenty of parking spots available. The inside was packed when we went, but there were only two waitresses working that day. Therefore, we had to wait 15 minutes to get seated, and then other 15 minutes before our order was taken. After ordering, the food came out after 20 minutes. It felt quit long especially since we were hungry. We tried the loco moco and the biscuit and gravy. Both were phenomenal and very reasonably priced. However, we found their portions to be on the smaller side. After one finishing my entrée, I only felt 70% full and was craving for more. However, I couldn't justify myself to order another entrée that I wouldn't be able to finish and have to wait another 20 minutes for. read more

Went in for lunch for the first time. Ambience is good, service was good. The menu was a little confusing, perhaps because it was both lunch and dinner. Not a lot of specific lunch options, not a lot of dinner options but a lot of both, if that makes sense. We both ordered the fish and chips with slaw. This is rockfish instead of the usual cod. I bit into mine and pulled a hair out of the breading on the first bite. The slaw had no flavor and we used our lemons to flavor it a bit. Fries were good but there weren't many for the twenty dollar price tag. The tarter sauce was the highlight of the meal, bright and crisp, it was an excellent addition to the fish. Overall not a great experience but I will try them again because everyone can have an off day. read more

We happened upon this place while visiting the Anacortes Art Festival and realized we'd discovered a favorite new place to dine! The owner and staff clearly care about their diners. The service was excellent and the food was one "oh wow!" after another. The Halloumi cheese sandwich and gyro were excellent. The lemongrass coconut martini is my favorite new cocktail. We were a party of 6, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dinner (shrimp & grits, lasagne, salad w/salmon), as well as the scrumptious crème brûlée. The shrimp and grits dish was delicate and utterly delicious. Fish and chips very fresh. Lasagne beautifully plated and very tasty. Service was superb, with owner Tasha stopping by multiple times to check on us. We booked a table for our visit when we were seated it wasn't fully set. We were told they were working on bringing the rest out. Our calamari was not crispy at all. Our server was Whitney, she didn't write any drinks down and forgot about one of our drinks and had to ask us again what it was. Our server made our experience the worst. She would sigh if anything was out of the way for her. For instance we asked to get our veggies extra steamed because they were for a baby and she sighed making my mother uncomfortable, and retracting her request. She also didn't know how her sake was served, or the ounces on her beers. She ran from our table as soon as she dropped a plate off. Which was the result of us have to ask her for this and that. Making her frantic. We also ordered the cereal milk Brûlée and it was cold. Idk. I don't think the amount we paid was worth it. We won't be returning. read more

I live on San Juan Island so Anacortes restaurants are a must know when waiting for a ferry. First time in Tasha's and the menu is wonderfully eclectic, plus, adventurous cocktails. I had African spiced fried cauliflower and the gyro. Both great. Locally sourced. And Tasha was my server. Will definitely be back. cute little spot downtown! i sat on the patio & got fish & chips & two moscow mules. the person who sat me was also my server & was very nice. when i ordered i asked if they had cocktail sauce (fish & chips comes w fries, slaw if you ask & tartar sauce) & she said she could "make some". wow, if she made it to order i would not be surprised because both the sauces were delicious! the slaw was in a small container & fresh & crunchy & the fish was very good. the fries were outstanding. the only minus was there was only one piece of fish. some of the reviews say it's "huge/giant". it's a medium sized piece of fish. mine was cooked nicely & flaky; i've just never been served fish & chips & only gotten one piece of fish before. other than that i loved everything else.. as i was eating i asked my server what her name was.. she said Tasha! omg i felt so honored! my daughter wasn't hungry but she appreciated the kids menu to color on which kept her occupied while i enjoyed my dinner. i am from CA but my aunt & uncle live close & i would definitely be back! food quality is great & wonderful service from Tasha! i especially loved the fresh & flavorful sauces! if i get the chance i will visit again before i leave. read more

Went back a 2nd time for brunch. Ordered a smash burger. Husband ordered eggs and hash, nothing special or extraordinary about it in terms of portion or flavor. My burger was missing a patty. I pointed it out to the waitress. She said she would get me another. I thought she meant she would replace it with another smash burger. Nope. She brought out another single patty by itself and but by then my burger had gone cold and my husband finished his meal. It was a lousy experience for the price. read more

Less than a third of the table seating was filled when we came a little after 5pm and we were placed in a two- person table when another couple who came after us without reservations was seated in a booth. Another single gentleman who was seated before us was also seated in a booth. Asked server about a small dog not wearing a service vest that was barking on several different occasions on the other side of the bathrooms in the bar and she denied it, saying I must have heard it from outside (it was not outside). Plates and utensils were removed promptly, however, without asking (still needed fork), and Asian dish was not authentic as had hoped. read more

Spoiler Alert ~ Local, local, local. If I lived in town this would be one of my go-to regular spots. Friends, family, neighbors all meeting at "The Table". Let me back up a moment. We came in by sea, first time to Anacortes. As we readied for a (different) reservation, "The Table" was about to slip under our radar...Thank goodness for a super cool boat neighbor who mentioned a "local chef" who just opened up a restaurant ~ and it was worth visiting. Walking in we're caught with interest. Open aired kitchen to the left. Seating surrounding. We were presented with the front corner table for six. Great start. Sushi turned out to be the choice of the night with several killer rolls being ordered. Super fresh sushi masterfully mixed and presented. It all started with fresh fish...coupled with light sauces...and presented in "Master Chef" fashion. The ring-the-bell moment for me ~ she serves lasagne. And not just any lasagne. This was arguably the most unique presentation of lasagne I've seen, ever. Broken into three delicate "rolls" of fresh lasagne pasta. Each roll was layered with ricotta, mozzarella and spinach and then individually rolled in a pesto, marinara and bechamel respectfully. Wowzer!! This trio of flavor nicked our socks off! Let's say that no one went hungry!! Ambiance: good local up scale vibe. But don't be afraid to come in shorts. Food: Creative and scrumptious with a solid direction of flavors and a bold "no-fear" approach to reimagining a 700 year old recipe. Service: well, we were lucky and had the owner serve our table. There was an instant connection that matched the vibe of the restaurant. #luckyus Passion: you can tell the owners and everyone who works there has passion. This is their business, their life. We got lucky. My parents' 17th anniversary dinner. I was able to make a last minute reservation outside, and it was a good spot. They had enclosure curtains and heaters if needed. Our server, a tall drink of water named Megan(?), took care of us. I'm sure she had tables inside as well, but she was able to keep us all afloat. The menu isn't very large, but the 4 of us were able to find something on the to enjoy. We started with calamari and it was very good. Not chewy at all, but the coating could have used a bit of seasoning. Very good aoli on the side for dipping. I also tried their Uni Nigiri which was delicious, but... the rice didn't act like normal sushi rice. It fell apart as soon as you tried to pick it up. Our entrees were, the Gyro, the scallops and risotto, the smashburger, and the fish&chips. The Gyro was pretty good, kudos to them for putting in two well seasoned beef strips, but traditional lamb would have been better, IMO. The scallops were perfect and the risotto was delicious. The smashburger tasted good, but I feel it was missing some of the "beefy" flavor of a good burger. The fish and chips were good as well. One massive piece of fish, breaded in panko or similar, and hand cut fries. Both the fish and fries were a bit over-browned in my eyes, but the taste was there, and the fish was still tender and juicy. For dessert, we chose the creme brulee, the lovely lemon something (I can't remember the name), and the apple slices with caramel sauce. They were all good, but the lemon dish was divine! The Chefs are truly so talented, a very knowledgeable Bartender, and attentive Servers. The Restaurant is open 6 Days a week, Closed on Wednesdays. Chef Brian offers Sushi Friday-Sunday. There's a bar/lounge in the back that we Locals call the "Speakeasy" with hand crafted cocktails that you can't find anywhere else. Some of my favorite menu items are the Cauliflower, The Smash Burger, Fish & Chips, Phylly Steak & Cheese, the Veggie Lasagne, and more! OH YEAH! There's Breakfast Sat-Monday! This place was such a hit, I can't wait to come back and try all the other things on the menu. Our server was top tier with service. I have an onion allergy, and she really went the extra mile ensuring that I was aware of everything I could, and could not eat. That is such a big deal for me! If you have a sort of allergy you will feel completely respected. The food!! It's not often you go somewhere, and everything is amazing!!! They were ALL so savory, and delicious. You can really tell they put love into the the food they serve. The carrots were my favorite, and the cauliflower was my friend's favorite. The African spice adds this extra special umph to the flavor, and surpasses other fried veggies. The pork belly hit all the flavors, and combos you'd expect from the crispiness, the perfect amount of fat, and meat. They added the carrot purée which had a nice little kick, which was super sweet since I could not have the bbq. This is a perfect spot for a lunch with a friend, a family dinner or a date night. I have been here twice in 2025, and it will probably be a while until I come back. I came with a group on a Sunday morning first and we sat in the window. I was glad they suggested a reservation. It's a nice place to sit, the waitress came by often enough, and it was fun to try something new in Anacortes. I got the Kick'n Chicken and Waffle. The idea was great - the execution? Not so much. The chicken was nice and juicy, but the sriracha flavor was lacking. The waffle may as well have been an Eggo waffle. Sorry, but for $17 I expected something a little more substantial than a thin, underbaked waffle. The second time I came, the service was all over the place. They were busy. It was also a Sunday. I would get a reservation if you want to try this place after 9:30am. We were lucky to get a seat near the kitchen. The kitchen was interesting to see and not too loud - nice. A waitress sat us and then started talking to another waitress before giving us any menus. Then, another person came and took our menus away and gave us new ones. It made sense because they were busy and probably running out of stuff....but then I heard the kitchen say the opposite of what the waitstaff did. Oh well. I got the raspberry cream cheese stuffed French toast rolled in corn flakes - great idea! A little weird for the menu (it's a confused menu) but it sounded interesting. Again, the execution? Not to good. The bread was nicely fried on the outside and the corn flakes were a nice texture, but the inside was squishy in a way that was off and the cream cheese, I'm pretty sure, was raspberry-flavored Lucerne brand cream cheese. I thought it would be regular cream cheese with berries mixed in for the price I paid. It was liked eating a fried jelly cream cheese doughnut. There were no sides. I only got water once. I think there are some kinks to work out with service and I think the menu needs some work. Overall, I would recommend trying this because it's something new in Anacortes but I likely won't be back for a while. read more

I was not really impressed by the storefront appearance when we met friends there for lunch. Once inside, I loved the art on the walls, and the feature wall of random length wood slats. The menu was large enough to offer me a nice variety of tempting options. I opted for the Halloumi Cheese Sandwich; my wife got the Falafel Wrap. The sandwich had a muhammara sauce, a Middle Eastern walnut and red pepper sauce that was amazing, on a brioche bun with red wine vinaigrette, arugula and Kalamata olives. I guess I was expecting something along the lines of a toasted cheese sandwich, but this was mind-blowingly good! Think of a cheeseburger, where the burger is actually a thick slice of fabulous cheese. Reports from our table indicated that the falafel wraps were also really tasty. There is a nice, thoughtful wine list, and the wines by the glass are modestly priced. And the service was super-friendly! I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more menu items! I went to Tasha's Table with a friend. We had both never been there before. Upon entry, the restaurant was very nice looking and clean. I thought...okay..food must be equally as good! WRONG! Firstly, the wait staff were horrible. We ordered the calamari appetizer. 2 women workers looked as if they were doing us a favor seating us. They brought the menus quickly enough, but then disappeared! When they finally reappeared,after quite a while...we placed an order for a calamari appetizer. It came in a timely manner, but was absolutely nothing to write home about! It had A horrible smell...like OLD fish, then it must have been a very small squid! The rings were tiny! But what was much worse was the taste! Fishy, oily and old smelling! Blech! We barely had any when she finally came back to take our order. I ordered the fish (rockfish) and chips, and it being still semi morning...my friend ordered French toast. WELL...another stint of time before our orders showed up. My fish portions were small and incredibly greasy! Again, it reeked of being fishy...not a fresh ocean smell. The fries were cooked WAY too much on the verge of being burned, and placed standing up in a fancy paper thing. Whoop Dee do! My friends French toast looked beautiful. It was thick with crumbled corn flakes on the outside. She cut into them and there was a REALLY weird raspberry cream inside. I mean, that sounds yummy...but it was horrible! I literally only took a few bites of my fish dish, left the fries. She ate a small portion of the French toast and had it put in a container for her dog. I will NEVER go to this place again! The waitress never came back to check on us. She never refilled my friends tea or my water. She dropped the bill off but then went to the back of the store sand zoned in on her cellphone. For my birthday we took a trip to Anacortes and visited the town. While in town I looked up this restaurant and decided to try it out. The staff was super friendly and helpful when going over the menu. However, If you are on a time crunch I would go elsewhere as it does seem to take awhile to get your food. But if you don't mind the wait, the food is really good. I happily tried the suggested Smashed burger and boy it did not disappoint. The burger was filled with flavor and filled me. The fries while they tasted really good, reminded me of fair fries, some were a little burnt in spots but most weren't. My family all had fish and chips, they were lightly breaded and big chunk of fish... except my wife hers were two smaller pieces. we think they do it by weight and are not exact but fairly close. They say the taste was really good and filling. The restaurant itself is fairly loud and not extremely spacious, so if it gets busy you might be waiting awhile. Overall really good food really friendly people just not very fast. read more
