I had been eyeing this place for sometime, it opened a few months ago. I am so glad we booked an appointment. We had an amazing 90 minutes couples massage. I was concerned going in on a Sunday due the neighboring restaurant. They were super busy and I was worried we'd have to deal with noise pollution. Boy was I surprised... it was ultra quiet once you walk in, the ambience is peaceful with a relaxing water fountain. The staff were professional, the environment is IMMACULATE!! This establishment deserves 10 stars!! Staff is amazing! It's our first time visiting and we both decided after today's visit we'll need to do this monthly. My only suggestion would be that they offer tea before or after the massage. They did offer bottled water which we were grateful for. today was my first time ever getting a deep tissue massage let alone a massage.. my body has been extremely tense and you can tell from just feeling certain areas. i work as a dog groomer so it is extremely laborious and hard on the body especially my back. i really should be doing this regularly but i've been too scared to. my body has been feeling stiff and it's been so uncomfortable i can hardly get through a good nights sleep without tossing and turning. i decided to pop in Tranquility Spa because i seen it was fairly priced and pretty close by. i went in today for a 60 min. session at $85 and must i say it was the best $85 i spent. i had Mercy today and she did not disappoint. i laid there scrunching my face out of relief because of how hard she was going in which was very needed. she mostly focused on the areas i asked for which were my neck, shoulders, and back. she also threw in a bit of scalp massage which was very pleasing. she was checking in on me making sure i was okay and comfortable. she definitely strives for her clients to have a pleasant experience. moral of the story, it was a wonderful and peaceful experience and i will be back regularly for Mercy. read more

OK, I've now been back to see Nancy on several occasions. I had acute inflammation of about every bit of muscle and cartilage on my torso. Now I'm running again, and I live to run. She goes very deep if needed, and it's like she's gone to med school. You can feel the wisdom, SKILL and experience, auto-pilot. I didn't need to guide her, she finds the issues and diligently works to eliminate them. Having recovered, I'm going to continue to see her with an emphasis on posture. read more

Went in to have a relaxing prenatal massage and left so disappointed. I have gotten plenty of massages before and also prenatal massages and always enjoyed them and would feel relief after. My massage here was painful and uncomfortable. The woman Jenny Z although a nice woman just didn't seem very experienced. She kind of was just rubbing and at no point did I feel any relaxation. My massage was really rough and not relaxing at all. It almost felt like this person didn't know how to even give a massage. I came with a friend and paid for her massage as well as a gift and she reported the same. In addition, my massage was 90 mins and hers was 60. She texted me and told me not to tip her masseuse because she covered that part. When I got to the front to check out, I tipped my masseuse and I was questioned about why I didn't tip hers.... I told them she tipped before she went out to the car and the front desk person was arguing with me about whether she did or didn't.....a tip is optional and we both tipped even though we weren't happy. I love this place!!! I went to sister spa (serenity spa) all the time but this location opened up and is closer to my house. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it is - it's so pretty, clean and serene. I saw Jenny who used to see at serenity. This is a great new spa run by the folks that run Pleasant Hill's best / most popular massage spa - Serenity Spa. This place is amazing! You enter to a very large reception area. There's a separate waiting area. There are enough rooms (14 I think) for large parties. (Think bridal party, girls night out or other large group celebration.)The décor is new and modern. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bathrooms are very clean and there's a shower. Everything that you'd want in a spa experience. Throw in the professional atmosphere of Serenity Spa and a couple of their best therapists - Jenny and Nancy and you have a winning combination. I have maybe written about Jenny and / or Nancy in previous reviews. I'm a long distance runner and routinely run 16- 30 miles each weekend. For nearly 7 years I've seen one or both of these therapists after every long run - first at Pleasant Day Family spa, then Serenity and now Tranquility. They are that good. Both therapists are great at following instructions to focus on the areas that you want. (I find many therapist have a "routine" and often times can not vary from that routine. Not so with Jenny and Nancy. They're great at following instructions. Both are also very good at addressing trouble spots with deep "strong" massage if that's what you need. Unfortunately, they are popular and you may have to book an appointment in advance. Fortunately, Tranquility has an easy to use online scheduling app. Tranquility is definitely worth a visit. Pro tip- the shopping center parking lot is ridiculously crowded on the weekends. Give yourself a few extra minutes for parking. read more

I have been looking for a new massage place since my last masseuse had moved away and have not found one that knows how to work through my muscles. I am so excited to have found Nancy! I kept asking the front desk person to be sure that the person I have can go deep into my muscles because I am very active and have deep knots. He said don't worry, I have someone for you and he did not disappoint! Nancy made sure that the pressure was good, and would check in from time to time. I have had a lot of massages at other places and I was totally pleased and satisfied with Nancy. She used a lot of different techniques, including hot stones, in my 1 hour massage, which I was not expecting. The pressure was perfect, and she checked in with me several times about that.
