My massages have all been consistent and well done. They are very accommodating and polite.

I find the therapists too strong/rough, with little adjustment when I tell them I'm sore, or injured, etc. Language is definitely a huge barrier. After trying 5-6 times, I'm done after this last visit. On top of telling me how I can lose weight while massaging me (my body is NOT your problem, lady!), her fingernails were sharp and uncomfortable. Also, I was feeling modest that day and kept on my underwear (I usually don't), and she proceeded to pull them way down and keep them down even when moving on to my arms and other areas. Totally unnecessary and insensitive. (Most therapists will cover an area when done working on it). This is definitely NOT luxury, and ultimately not even pampering too often for me to return. read more

So my friend and I had gone hiking in Yosemite in a Sunday. (18 miles) I was super sore on Monday, couldn't walk on Tuesday and made my appointment for Wednesday at 3:30. I scored a parking spot right out front, but there is VERY limited parking on the side. My advice is park in the Macy's garage and walk over. This place is not fancy at all BUT they get the job done! My hour massage was amazing. I left being able to walk and was so relaxed. I took a star away because there was no direction or greeting for me once they dropped me off to my room. I've been here twice, once several years ago, which left me with the vague memory that it was a good cheap massage, and then again recently. The environment can be a bit chaotic as others have mentioned, with the main massage chair area being just feet from the reception desk, but what I can say about this place is if you're looking for a fairly priced, long foot and leg massage- like after a day of shopping, this is perfect. I'd probably call ahead to make an appointment, just to be safe, but they do have quite a bit of space so you could get lucky as a walk-in. My tip to creating a more... relaxing experience, is bring headphones and if you really want to elevate your experience, an eye mask. Otherwise, you're laid out on admittedly comfy lounge chairs, covered with a variety of blankets/towels, and they go to work with no explanation or direction really. Just had the best massage of my life from Bruce at Creekside Massage. My partner came here yesterday and had an incredible experience with Bruce. So I made an appointment for as soon as I could!! I opted for the 1 hour full body massage and it was better than I could have imagined. I was told when I got there that the previous client had arrived 10 minutes late and so my appointment would start in 6 minutes. This was fine with me, as it allowed for some time to relax in the room before the massage began. The entire hour was incredible. It's rare to have such a thoughtful massage that is consistently amazing the ENTIRE time. I feel like a jellyfish noodle that has been put back into my human body!!! I've been going to this spa for years and normally love it. They have a new front manager now who harasses every patron to leave a bigger tip. Apparently 20% isn't enough. She is also very loud at the front desk while you're trying to enjoy your treatments. I left 1/2 way through the massage, the massage was fine, but it was very hot in the room, then the heater came back on and got even hotter. I get it's supposed to be warm, but it was unbearable. Received a gift certificate for my birthday for 30min table and 30 min foot when I got there I extended for an hour table I was really looking forward to a message and a little pampering but it wasn't . We never spoke except when he said he was done or move to the table or he just told me I'm tight, I think a little communication coulda made this better, we started with foot message it was ok he didn't really seem like he was messaging yeah he rubbed abs made my feet feel good for the short moments but it wasn't what I expected. We then went to the table the table Was just bad from the start, he was messaging my back and was very rough and had me cringing because it was uncomfortable, he said ohh your so tight , which I already knew that I asked can he go softer which he did for a little bit then he more rubbed my back, legs, arms more then messaging I would say . He was moving his hands up abs down my back very fast and hitting me back of my head multiple times , maybe I just wasn't fully relaxed or I guess I couldn't because it was just unpleasant to Me , even after I left I felt weird and now Today my back is hurting and in the middle of my spine I feel pain. I love getting massages here! It's one of those hole in the wall secret treasures. They have both male and female employees. If you book a foot massage, they are in chairs sitting amongst others. If you book a full body massage you have your own, closed-off room. They have relaxing spa music throughout the salon. Regarding another review: Do they put pressure on you for tipping? Yeah I've seen it, but do they deserve to be tipped after rubbing on your body? ABSOLUTELY. I found this place when I was in need of just some temporary relief from chronic neck pain. I called ahead for a 30 min foot + 30 min body and was super excited to find out they can take me ASAP. I understand the phrase "you get what you pay for" I of course didn't have high expectations but I was in shock from the massage I had received. My "masseuse" was a much older woman wearing house slippers who only rubbed my feet, neck, and shoulders with loads and loads of lotion!! No pressure what so ever. When I was taken to the back for my body massage, I have never been covered in this much oil EVER. Her massage style was very rough and aggressive (wish she had this much energy when working on my feet). Massage was painful. The masseuse yelled at me. I have no idea why. He was hurting me and I asked for the massage to be cut short but he wouldn't stop. I had to get up, get dressed in front of him, and run to the front desk to escape him. It was the craziest thing and I hope no one else goes through what I went through. Horrible! Kevin is the best. He applies the most pressure and always goes about 10-15 minutes over the hour which is always appreciated (with gratuity which he expects)! Like most of the guys here, they ask if you want water, wait around for you to pay the ladies up front and hopefully receieve a tip. They don't speak English but that is the norm.
