After calling around to a couple of places and being told a number of times I could only get the work done at a dealer, Continental Transmission was able to quote me with a slightly lower rate for my car. Having been recommended to this shop by some friends I decided to go with them! To replace it they needed to tow my car to the dealer only to reprogram it, but overall they were able to get the job done at a lower rate than it would have been had I tried to take my car anywhere else. To that I am very grateful! It took about a week or so for them to get all of the work done. They called me when the work was finished and now my car is running the way it should be! The staff here was very friendly, they were straightforward with informing me of all of the things they had done to my car. No gender bias at all! I would definitely recommend this shop for any kind of serious transmission work.

The guys at Northeastern say it's possibly fixable for $ 200, but since it is not a rebuild, they can't guarantee it. They explain that if that does not work, it requires a complete rebuilt transmission. I ask if that is about $2000, they say it's closer to $4000. Well they fixed it for the $200, and it's been working great for the last two years without the $4000 rebuild. I would highly recommend these guys. They were very honest and knowledgeable.

You can certainly call their phone but I opted to use their electronic communication options. Online scheduling was easy via their website. Received a follow up text to confirm the appointment and received drop off instructions. There is certainly a person answering the texts, which was nice. Diagnosing the problem didn't take very long; maybe a couple of hours after I dropped it off. I was sent a link to view the findings from the technician, complete with important photos, and recommendations. I received a second link that was used to verify which repairs I would like performed, and their costs. At that point, I either agree or disagree to the individual parts and labors that were recommended. I Signed the electronic agreement and moved on with my day. I Received another text when the van was complete. This was my first time visiting AmTon and I believe them to be running an honest and trustworthy business. I hope to not have to return under the same circumstances, but if I need to, they will be my first call.

Came back to give another review--had to get the exhaust on my car replaced due to it partially…read morerusting off. Dan was super flexible in getting the car checked out and giving me a price, then allowing me to drop it off in the morning a few days later to pick it up later that afternoon since my work conflicted with getting it fixed the first day I dropped it off. I was a bit late in picking it up due to a ride issue, which ended up working out okay because the part I needed hadn't arrived yet. I did wait a while in the shop to pick up my car, but Dan was nice enough to give me a discount on the bill. The extra time I spent there wasn't really a big deal at all. They also did my friend's head gasket and timing belt repair on his Subaru about a year ago at the same time as my last review and did a fantastic job for a really good price. More recently, they fixed a part of my friend's electronics in his car in about an hour or so. Overall have been having pretty good experiences here and the mechanics are always very open to telling you what you should or shouldn't get fixed. I send all my friends over to Dan the Car Man!
