    8 Jerk Wings &Fries

Food was mid. Jerk wings - I asked to be fried hard and they were not - too fatty for my taste.

Yelp showed they're open on Tuesday, not the case today and looks like closed every Tuesday

Stopped in at 5pm today and was told they have stopped taking orders for the day ... even though they are open for another five hours.

This chicken was prepared very well but I was an even bigger fan of the gumbo that was made with turkey. My God! If you're a jerk chicken lover check this place out asap!

Finally took a picture of my food before devouring!! This is our 5th time having their jerk wings. All other times we ordered through door dash! Today we picked up in person! Picking up is now my preference! The wings were even better! We try to stay away from fried wings and so these are perfect! The smoked jerk flavor is very delicious. The wings have a lot of meat and so you are truly getting your monies worth. We also typically don't eat beef but we had to try the patty! We do wish they had Chicken patties! We also tried their turkey ribs prior as well as the dirty rice! Rice was good! Turkey ribs were decent! When ordering for delivery we never received jerk sauce so we assumed they didn't have any. Today we received jerk sauce with our pick up order! It adds an extra layer of flavor! I recommend they provide the sauce with their delivery orders as well. BUT honestly the wings are so good, you don't need it! Overall, WE LOVE IT! Highly recommend!

We thought we would stop in and see what the hype was about. Walked in the door and was greeted by the staff. Since I cannot do real spicy but really wanted some red beans and rice they let me try a sample. Delicious! Others in the restaurant were raving about their food. My husband got the jerk chicken Philly and loved it. We will definitely be back to try some other menu items!

What can I say...I definitely enjoyed my food. The seasonings and flavors were all there. I like spicy so it was the perfect kick for me. The service was great and the laid back ambiance was good. They have a very wide menu with lots of soul and flavor. Oh yea the jerk sauce was fire too!! I definitely have to double back.

Love the food! It is fantastic! I had ribs and chicken! I got the extra jerk sauce which is different than what is on the food when it is served. Both sauces were great.

I did an order pick up during their Trappy Hour and let me tell you it was good. I have been here twice and the prices are very reasonable. The food is very flavorful and the staff is very welcoming. The inside of the restaurant is very welcoming and clean. If they have the trap juice you definitely have to get it with your meal. You will not be disappointed.

I'd drive 4 hours to eat here again. Not fast food, so don't be in a hurry. Well worth the wait!

I am thinking it was just a hang out spot. No waiters, waitresses or cashier in sight. I sat down for a while then left.

By the time we left, they were open for business inside. There is A LOT to be said for a business opening under the circumstances that they can work under, so I really appreciated them being open and serving! I ordered the vegetable stew, a veggie pattie, and a jerk chicken kid's meal. You will get so much food even with the kid's meal. The chicken was cooked very well and tasted delicious. I ordered the spicy sauce, and while I think it could have been much hotter, I think most people would find it sufficiently spicy. I would 100% get the vegetable stew and the jerk chicken again, but would probably pass on the pattie. Nothing wrong with it, but the other dishes were just that much more amazing that I'd like to save room for them. Don't hesitate to give this location a chance. You won't regret it!

Here's the real: While this places price point is below the amount of food you get- everyone knows in today's climate, eating out isn't financially responsible on a whim. Ok; now to the food. Why haven't I tried this before now? I ultimately went because I attended a Yelp elite event around the corner at a coffee shop & I was starving for something savory yet not something that is already in my monthly rotation. I saw the larger than life sign as I drove down the street and pulled over. I checked their menu online first to see if they were open & what their price point was. All checked out. On the first day, I ordered the chicken curry meal for $14.95 plus I added two beef Pattie's & one curry shrimp pattie. I was blown away by the flavor in the curry chicken, the veggies were cooked perfectly & the flavor was on point. The rice & cabbage were also great (I wish I got a little more cabbage tho lol but that's just me being greedy) The second day - I brought my man. He ordered what I had on the first day and I ordered the jerk chicken + rice/beans & cabbage. WOWZERS! I noticed on the ordering site you can order whole jerk turkeys & chickens for special occasions as well as catering sized sides. I'm 100% plotting on my next visit. My tummy and tastebuds were so pleased! Thank you YASO!

The inside is quite roomy with plenty of room to spread out. We were quickly seated and greated to get our drink orders. A few of us tried the passion fruit juice drink which comes in a rather large glass but was quite good. For an appetizer we ordered a few of the Haitian Pates which were amazing and each one was big enough for 2-4 people to share. For our meals, we ordered the chicken entree, pork entree and the turkey entree. Each entree came with a number of side items on the plate. I was amazed at how much food and how many items we received for the price we paid. The server was very friendly and attentive although we did have to chase her down for the bill which wasn't really a problem. Plan on having cash to tip because once she ran my card, she said she didn't have a way to add tip to the bill or the credit card slip. Maybe you can add it ahead of time, but I didn't think to ask before. Luckily our party had some cash to tip. We really enjoyed all of the food and will definitely be back soon.

There is a lot of parking available in the lot that it shares with the other business in the strip mall that it is located. They have a decent sized dining area, that almost looks like a banquet hall. There is a roped of VIP area, a non-alcoholic bar with seating, a vip room and a stage where they host live music. It looks like it would be a hoping place on weekends. You will also find an ATM here as well as a few televisions around the bar area. There is a patio area in the front of the restaurant, but it was closed and had tables stacked on top of each other when I was there. I decided to dine in, which was kind of awkward. I was never seated. I just found a table after standing there for about 5 minutes. The table was not very stable and rocked throughout my meal. Normally, the server brings a glass of water out to the patrons too, but that was not the case here. I had to even track down the server to take my order. The staff there is friendly enough, but as I have mentioned, they are very hard to communicate with. They offer a limited menu that rotates based on the day of week. This is an authentic restaurant. I mean authentic, authentic. communicating with them was very difficult. They did not understand a word I said and vice versa. Somehow I was able to place my order, even though it took a while. I went with the fried goat, which came with french fries, plantains and slaw. I ended up having to point out the drink I wanted in the cooler behind the bar. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my food and it looked delicious. I will be honest though, it was not very good. The plantains tasted like cardboard, the fries were a bit off too. The goat was good, but it and the rest of the food was luke warm at best. It was like it was already prepared and just put on the platter. I ended up throwing my plantains away and I do not like to waste food, but I just could not eat them. I really really had high hopes for this place, but it did not deliver. The food just did not do it for me. The communication issue affected the service and the prices were a bit steep. my meal and drink ran me about $25. I hope that my visit was an off day for the restaurant, but I will probably not be coming back anytime soon.

That one was the middle heat sauce. It had just enough kick to it. The wings were good. Very flavorful and tasty. Some of them were luke warm at best through and could have been heated up a little more. I still really liked them though. The jambalaya is not your normal New Orleans jambalaya. It has a Caribbean flare to it. It is also tasty and has a bit of a kick to it, like most Caribbean food does. The egg roll was ok. It was huge and packed, but I did not think it tasted very special. It was just average to me. Maybe I had such high hopes, but it was definitely lacking the flavor of the other food that I ate. The guy that was working was friendly enough. He was not engaging, but would respond if you needed something or had a question. He just did his job. This is a decent Caribbean restaurant. It would not be my first option though.
