Visiting from Charlotte for the weekend and checked Tik Tok to see what some of the must tries were. This restaurant came up and I'm glad it did! I tried the Kilo box and it banged like the reviews said! I went the honey gold wings, smash burger and fries. The honey good sauce was really good; however, I asked for the wings to be fried hard but they were far from that. The wings, burger and fries were good. Just enough seasoning on the fries. The little balls were really sweet for my preference. I was expecting a cheddar bay biscuit taste. The wait was about 20 minutes. I'd definitely place an order online next time. I have my favorite spots when it comes to hot chicken and fried chicken in Nashville, but wings is a whole other thing. So when we asked our serverb and other staff during dinner at different local spot where they would recommend for wings specifically, Trap House was unanimously picked. And they did not disappoint! The operations in this tiny spot is meticulous, clean and orderly. Cashier FOH gives clear direction to the kitchen and the kitchen staff all know what role they are in for and everyone was exercising their part well in the not so big open kitchen. Wings were perfectly dressed, plump and juicy. The fries were great too but the mini corn bread muffin they also give is something I could eat for days!! Our search for the best wings in Nashville continues, and our latest stop was at Trap House Wingz...and you know when there is a "z" at the end of the word, something is about to be good! We went with two wing combos, an 8 count and 12 count. Both came with Cajun fries and two zips AKA cheddar biscuits! The fries were crispy and well-seasoned, and those little biscuits were fluffy and, while an odd choice, just made sense. And the chicken wing(z) themselves...fried well, in some cases, maybe a little too well but they were still tasty, meaty and hot! Both of our wings were ordered with dry rubs, while we enjoyed the seasoning, we are going to go wet next time. For the dry rub we got lemon pepper and Cajun. The Cajun had more flavor and adherence, while the lemon pepper was just okay. I dug the Cajun, so no issues with ordering those again, but the partner is going to go with a wet lemon pepper next time. Packaging is on point and on brand. Love the vibe you get before you even get to the food! Plus, they hustlers with them reviews, making sure you see that QR code as soon as you see them wings! A few things based on the menu, and I am sure they have reasons...but you can't seem to order just wings, have to be in a combo. I would probably order a wider variety if I did not have to side each order with fries. Also, what they got against blue cheese? I couldn't order that but luckily had some at home on the ready. Had a friend order for pick up and was stoked to get some wings especially because it's nearby. The mini cornbread muffins are fire, I could've eaten a dozen. They were sweeter than I expected so that was a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed the style of fries. I wish they were a little crispier but it was later in the evening so we might've gotten some that hung around for a bit, or just softened up by the time it made it home. I'll have to try again right from the package. I got buffalo tenders and was impressed. Plenty of food, I saved some for the next day. The fries and homemade ranch ($1) were outstanding. The burger was good, but it doesn't beat Jack Brown's down the street. I knocked off a star because I was charged an extra $0.50 to have the onions grilled, even though onions already came on the burger and weren't an add-on. I also tried to order a single corn mini muffin and was told there was a two-muffin minimum. The onion charge and two-muffin minimum don't make much sense. I was given an estimated time the order would be ready. When I got my food, I noticed the fries seemed like they had been cooked earlier in the day. Stale and didn't seem freshly made at all. I've been a regular at Traphouse Wings in Nashville and have always enjoyed both the food and the overall customer experience. In fact, I've given them glowing reviews on other platforms because they've usually been a 10/10 spot for me. Unfortunately, tonight was a completely different experience. I encountered two ladies who were staff members handling the orders..they were extremely rude and dismissive. After waiting in line inside to pick up my Uber Eats order, I was told to stand outside at another window in the cold. I complied, only to be left waiting outside for another ten minutes without acknowledgment, even though my orders were clearly ready inside. When I finally got someone's attention, I was met with more attitude. The staff seemed annoyed that I had followed their instructions. This level of rudeness was disappointing, especially because I know this place can do much better. I'm not writing this to bash the restaurant as a whole, but to highlight that tonight's customer service was really off the mark. I went to trap house wingz once in person. Parking is limited and there is not much room to dine in, we learned it's more of a pick up or delivery spot. The first time I thought the wings were great, the nibs were fantastic, I enjoyed the fries, and the burger was okay. The ranch and blue cheese were just standard packs and honestly a little warm. Service was a little flat, and several menu items are just not described - which is confusing. However, overall the wings were good enough that they were added to my top spots. I decided to give the wings another try for the Super Bowl and ordered online since that's seems to be their preferred set up and they posted online how they were going to be open on Sunday for the Super Bowl. I place an order around 3:50pm, 5 drivers went to this location and all left without my food. I figured they might be a little behind but after almost 2 hours of waiting they finally canceled my order. Wing/chicken restaurants are only as good as their sauces, and that's usually where they fall short. That is NOT the case with Trap House Wingz. The homemade ranch is amazing and the honey gold sauce I got on the wings is as good or better than expected. Other than that, the attention to detail on every aspect of the box I got is well thought out and high quality. From the burger bun fresh & nicely toasted, to the Cajun fries crispy and seasoned well. Even the sweet little cheddar muffins were tasty. My only complaint there is that I wish I was easier to try more sauces, and there needs to be descriptions for some of the made-up names. I ordered online, which was easy enough, and my food was ready at the beginning of the 30-45 time estimate given. Nashville's food scene is usually a little lackluster and very overpriced. This place is somewhere I will be making regular stops and bringing friends. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good quality, fresh food. The food is just mid and the owner is a complete asshole. Don't accidentally block his parking because he will take his bad attitude and bad day out on you and rip you a new one. Insane how they think they can treat people as a business. Extremely unprofessional. All over a misunderstanding.
