    Gluten free bread
    Jordan A.

Loved this restaurant. We ordered bottles of wine for the table and than they had gluten free pasta available for their house rigatoni pasta which I could not recommend enough. They also served gluten free bread which was okay but nice gesture. I highly recommend and it was not too pricey. 7 of the 8 of us got this pasta it was Amazing!!

I made a reservation for lunch for a party of five, but upon entering I don't think I needed one. They had 2-3 more inner rooms with lots of seating. It was pretty tight to walk around. They started us with bread. We had these giant heavy plates at each seat. I wasn't sure if there were chargers or if they were meant to have food on them. Instead of balsamic vinegar, they had red wine vinegar (?). Service was good. I'm not sure they speak English, but it seemed they understood our English. Our server recommended the artichoke €15. This was good to try. Pear and pecorino salad €14 was ok. Pappardelle with wild boar ragu €15 was served almost cold. The meat was dry. Veal steak €24 was good. Tiramisu €7 was excellent. Our bottle of water Aqua Panna was €4,50. Maybe we didn't order the right things? Maybe my expectations were too high? I'm not understanding why this place had such high ratings on Google. Cover charge was €2,50 per person. Bathroom available. No Wifi. Credit card/Apple Pay accepted. Pay at the cashier.

We came here as a group of 4 for dinner since this place had a popular reputation. The food was pretty good. The service was a bit slow. It was out of season (beginning of December) so we thought things would be quicker. Besides that we had a good time.

This place is a solid 3, the restaurant itself based on looks and vibe i give a 5. Service was a 5. We got right in so that was nice also. The only reason im giving them a 3 is because im soley rating the food. Its been a tough journey looking for the best pasta in florence that isnt touristy. The rigattoni pasta fell short for me it wasnt bad and wasnt great. Some parts were hot and some parts cold, i could of let it slide if the flavors blew me away but it was just okay. We even tried the meatballs which i must say were the softest ive ever had but again the flavor didnt blow me away... still on the hunt for the best pasta in italy.

Delicious appetizers, pasta, and wine. Would love to go back to try the Florentine steak as well. Tiramisu and biscotti were phenomenal.

Absolutely awesome. My wife and I were on a tour in Florence, and our tour guide (who is originally from Florence, mind you), recommended Gobbi for Florentine Steak. Everyone there seemed to be having the greatest time, the servers were enormously pleasant and accommodating. But, the thing to mention of course, was the rigatoni and Florentine steak. It is the most famous things on the menu for a reason-- my wife and I were in Italy for 9 more days, and yet THIS was the meal we talked about constantly. Simply the best rigatoni and steak we've ever had in our lives. What else could we possibly say!

We were recommended this place from our tour guide on our wine tour today and we are thrilled to have visited for dinner this evening. The atmosphere is lovely, you feel like you are dining in the middle of a street in Florence because you really are. The roof is retractable so we enjoyed sitting indoor/ outdoor. Food was delicious! Best rigatoni I've ever had and my husband loved his roast beef! Fast and attentive service and lovely experience.

Remains a must on every visit to Florence. The menu was a little bit different this time, but we stuck with a couple of our usuals (the chitarroni and the death row-worthy rigatoni), plus a few new things -- pappa pomodoro, steak for one, chocolate gelato, and cheesecake. They also made an excellent penne with tomato sauce for our three-year old. The pappa pomodoro was great but probably not among my all-time favorite versions. Same with the cheesecake. The steak, though, was one of our favorites from this trip to Florence, and could definitely be worth getting again. (The seasoning on it was maybe my favorite of all the steaks we had this trip.) Also, personally, I'd be fine skipping the chitarroni (it's good, but not other-worldly in my opinion) and just getting two rigatoni dishes going forward, but my wife always insists on the chitarroni.

Amazing. Wonderful. Truly one of the best restaurants I've ever been to! The roast beef is one of the best dishes I've ever had! The staff was awesome and we can't wait to be back!

I had to straight up grab the empty glass next to me from another customer and pour water into it so she can see. It would be one thing to say "Oh, I'm sorry about that". And I'd be over it. But it's the fact that she kept on insisting it was the same that bothered me. Then has the nerve to ask if I want dessert.. No? Decent food but the service was absolute crap. Would never come back and warning everyone, stay the away from this place.

We ate here on our first night in Florence and spent the rest of our trip talking about it. In fact, we came back to Florence a night early from Cortona and tried our luck at getting another table. They were completely packed and couldn't fit us in, which honestly tells you everything you need to know. If you want to eat here, make a reservation. You might get lucky if you show up right when they open, but May in Florence seems to get busier every year and I wouldn't count on it. The atmosphere is exactly what you hope for when you picture a fun night in Florence--great music, laughter, conversation, shared tables, excellent wine, and people genuinely enjoying themselves. It's lively without feeling touristy and somehow manages to feel both energetic and intimate at the same time. Our server, Lorenzo, was phenomenal. He helped us select a bottle of 2021 Vigna del Sorbo Chianti Classico, which ended up being my favorite wine of the entire trip. We started with buttered toast and anchovies. It sounds incredibly simple, but it was one of the most memorable bites we had in Italy. We shared the duck ragù pasta, lasagna, osso buco, and lamb chop. Every dish was excellent, but the duck ragù and lamb were standouts. We finished with a raspberry tiramisu that was the perfect ending to the meal. The food was fantastic, the wine was fantastic, the service was fantastic, and the ambiance was everything you could want. P.S. If you can't get in, don't panic--the restaurant across the street is also very good. But if you can get a table here, do it.

Not many places actually have yelp reviews, but this one had so many with great feedback. The food looked amazing. When we arrived we thought they were closed, but that is because they moved to a bigger restaurant a few doors down. When we arrived at the front, the gentleman asked if we had reservations, which we didn't. He directed us to the line with no reservations. The line was a bit long, but doubled in size almost immediately. It also started pouring rain during this time and we were ALL getting drenched even with an umbrella. The non reservation line was not really moving unless people left the line. We waited a good hour. As we inched closer and closer, the lines were now both outrageous and getting seated seemed like a distant memory. The staff came out and gave out Sangria and Bread bites to help those in line feel welcome. We did finally get seated and we were so glad we waited, it was worth it! We ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara, the lobster spaghettini and the chicken breast with roasted potatoes. We also ordered sangria. Everything was so good and our total was 83 €. Prices were unbelievable! We were amazed at the quality, the service and how large the restaurant they relocated to was. It was like a well oiled machine. The food coming out quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. Once seated, the service was chaotic. One waiter who wasn't even serving our table spent much of the evening yelling at other servers. Food was constantly being brought to the wrong tables, and servers were asking us if dishes were ours because they genuinely seemed confused about where orders belonged.A waiter also spilled a tray of drinks near me, splashing my coat. To be clear, this is not affecting my review because accidents happen. What did stand out was the lack of consideration afterward. There was barely an apology or acknowledgment, which felt representative of the overall attitude we experienced throughout the meal. As for the food, it was just okay. The Florentine steak was good, but not memorable, and I'm sure there are plenty of places in Florence that do it better. We also ordered a pasta dish that was completely average. If the food had been exceptional, maybe the service would have been easier to overlook, but that wasn't the case. What stood out most was how miserable and disorganized the staff seemed. Looking around, we weren't the only table having a poor experience.
