We met The Doctor's cousin's here for dinner on their recommendation. They had not been here for a while, but based on their recommendation, we decided to give it a try. I started out with the Calamari alla Griglia (marinated grilled squid, served with a spring mix salad). This was okay, although the calamari was a little on the chewy side. The salad was good and had a fresh taste. For dinner I got the Ragu d'Anatra (pappardelle wide ribbon pasta sauteed with a red wine, tomato and duck sauce topped with parmigiano cheese). Overall, this was a good dish, but I have to say that I couldn't really taste the duck. I wasn't sure if it was due to the small amount of duck or that it was overpowered by the sauce and cheese. My one cousin got their special seafood pasta dish. It looked nice plated, but she felt that the seafood was overcooked and on the tough side. She ended up not finishing it. The server we had was nice and pleasant, but very unorganized. She mixed up orders for drinks twice for my one cousin, bringing the incorrect beer. But in all fairness, they did not charge him for the beers. My other cousin had to tell her twice the kind of wine that she wanted. We had to keep repeating our orders to her to make sure she got them right. For some reason the server was repeating everything wrong initially. While it is always great to see our cousins and we had a good time catching up, this was just an okay dining experience.

Food was amazing!!!! Service was great!!! Prices were perfect. This place is truly a hidden gem. The salad was one of the best salads I've ever had in my life. I would go back just for the salad.

I've been coming here for many years. It's one of the few local restaurants that serves cacio e pepe. They used to have half portions but I didn't see that on the menu this time. We've tried so many items here over the years but the cacio e pepe will always be my go-to. My kids enjoy the pizza. My husband typically gets the seafood ricotta but this time opted for a carbonara. Both pastas were very delicious. The service was lovely during our most recent visit.

My friend and I were meeting for dinner, decided on Italian and wanted to stay in the area, so Trattoria D.O.C. was perfect. I made a reservation and when we arrived we were seated right away. Service started off slow but once it was noticed our waiter was sent over and he became much more attentive. We ordered some Chianti and a salad (Pete a Gorgonzola) to share to start. The salad was a perfect start with their bread. We then ordered a lasagna and pollo al limone, which is served with a side. We chose spinach, but my friend also ordered a side of their potatoes. She asked if they could be in the lemon sauce that comes with the chicken. When the food came out, we weren't given any sauce and there was none on the potatoes, and we were also given a side of brocolli which we did not order. We told our waiter and he took it away and came back with more spinach for some reason. We told him we had our spinach, but he told us to keep it. The lasagna was excellent while the chicken was underwhelming. The breast meat was tender but there wasn't much to the dish other than the capers it was topped with. Not much flavor at all. When I got home and looked at the bill again I found that we were charged for brocolli! That is maddening since we didn't order it. The potatoes we were charged for as an extra side also said "lemon sauce" underneath, yet we didn't get any lemon sauce. Generally speaking it was a nice meal and I would return, but paying closer attention to what we're charged for.

The food was great. The portion size and pricing was reasonable. The inside was clean and gives local vibes. The wood fire pizza was perfect. Lasagna, cacio e pepe, and chocolate cake was so good. The only thing I wasn't too happy with was the service. Our waiter was not attentive and most of the staff don't look friendly. Only the bus boy/girl were friendly.

Took the family to celebrate my wife's birthday. First time here and dinner was very good. My son had pizza and I can't wait to go back and try one myself. Everyone else had pasta. I loved the spaghetti carbonara. We've lived 4 blocks away and can't believe it took us this long to try Trattoria DOC.

Excellent service and wide selection of dishes. A good location for celebrations. Plenty of parking in the neighborhood.

Service is ok. The pizza is very good. I didn't like the salmon it was very raw. But the atmosphere is not bad at all.

Staff was extremely you and untrained. Far from what you expect from a fine dining experience, Applebees has better service.

Food was mediocre at best and a bit overpriced. Service was excellent. Nice location and, to their credit, they did not rush you.

They have a selection of pizza styles, New Haven, East coast, Chicago thin and deep dish and Neapolitan. We ordered the side salad and cream of chicken soup and the 14" Chicago thin crust. Had the sausage, pepperoni and 1/2 olive and 1/2 anchovies. The sad and soup came quickly. Both were fresh and the salad dressing as well. I agree with the old recommendations on the soup. The pizza was huge and crispy. Lots of fresh tomato sauce and stringy cheese. They have a bar with an okay wine list. But we ordered sodas. The staff and service were super friendly and helpful. They have a huge menu and we'll be back again.

Driver arrived promptly with not only our food but an additional pizza. Driver tells me the owner (Lenny) remembered our conversation from 5 years ago regarding the Grandmas pie not being the same as years past in not a good way. Let me know then the recipe changed causing a change in the dough so stopped ordering this specific pizza. He sent the pizza for me/us to try again as the recipe has been changed back to before and it was absolutely fantastic!! Will definitely get back to ordering on a regular basis. Talk about knowing your customers and excellent customer service. Will continue to always be a customer. Please support a great local business that knows its customers. Than you Lenny for the pizza!

From Italian Classic to "Budget Fillers" Most people think…read moreof that scene in Ratatouille where the food transports the critic back to a beautiful childhood memory. If I ate this today as a kid, that memory wouldn't be of the food--it would be of a spanking. I used to swear by this place in college. It was the gold standard for a good, affordable meal with real heart. But lately, it's clear that profitability is the new priority. They've swapped high-quality ingredients for "cheap" fillers, leaving the dishes feeling hollow. The Technical Breakdown: * The "Watery" Problem: Does the kitchen not own a colander? The dishes are swimming in excess moisture, which kills the integrity of the meal. * The Sauce: It used to be the soul of the plate; now it feels like a rushed accident. * Not So Pro Tip for the Kitchen: If you want to save the dish, cook the last few minutes of the pasta IN the sauce. It's a basic fundamental that seems to have been lost in the pursuit of the bottom line. It's a bummer because this place used to be so intentional. Now, it's just basic. Unless you're looking for a plate of lackluster pasta and budget-friendly veggies, you're better off looking elsewhere.
