I am not one to leave many reviews unless the experience demands it. With that, After countless visits to Stefani Prime, you would think that I would have at least one thing negative to say, but I do not. From the hosts or hostesses, every individual bartender or server, all the way to table visits from a manager or even a Chef, you are made to feel like the most important guests in the restaurant. Punctuated by an AMAZING meal, each visit was individually unique and beyond enjoyable. The daily specials offer a soup that never disappoints no matter what the selection. Even In the heat of Summer, the lure of these soups set a standard that anything on the menu will satisfy. The choices are many, and what seem to be a labor of love from the Chef. With subtle background music and a comfortably lit dining area, it shows that you are wanted to feel welcomed and relaxed. I fail to leave my menu preferences on this review because there are too many and, every choice I make is it difficult one. I of course have my favorites, but can assure any diner that you'll never regret any choice you make on that menu. Stopping in there for a drink is always an option as well. The veteran bar staff gives you consistency in quality preparation of GOOD cocktails ranging from the standards to custom creations. Most recently I was introduced to a seasonal drink referred to as "walk in the park". Its everything you want in a drink, and for me it's set the table perfectly for the steak dinner that followed. We were so happy to have somewhere in the neighborhood offering you a top shelf evening of cocktails and a meal, which has been the consistent soul of Stefani Prime since it opened. Came here with my family for my Parent's 60th anniversary. Had a wonderful time! Food was amazing ! on time. The filets and the special beef rolls were delicious . The Scottish Salmon with bourbon flame was some of the most delicious Salmon since visiting Scotland! Absolutely perfectly cooked so that it melts in the mouth. No need for the beurre Blanc sauce which was on the side thankfully. Broccoli cooked to perfection on this one! The Ahi Tuna was seared 'blue' (term I wasn't familiar with, but waiter explained a quick sear each side to be near raw. Very tasty and then the sides of garlic sautéed spinach and mushrooms really were perfect accompaniment- Ambience want quite as amazing as the food quality and the waiter initially had a few misses on which wine taste was what wine and then on repeating back what we ordered, however the food came exactly as ordered and was superb! read more

Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Came for our Anniversary. I ordered Kansas City strip steak with twice baked potato. Wife ordered beef short rib ravioli. Both dishes were extraordinary in presentation, flavor and serving. Although it is somewhat pricy, it's really worth the cost. Our server was Carmen, and she was really great. We made a reservation two hours beforehand, and were seated immediately upon arrival. It was crowded, but noise level wasn't a big deal. Very good wine list, and choice of interesting cocktails. While visiting family in Chicago this weekend, we enjoyed an incredibly delicious dinner at Stefani Prime. The appetizers-sushi, meat ball , and onion rings -were tasty and served promptly. Our entrees which included a rib eye steak, a cheese burger and short rib ravioli were out of this world! All entrees include a delicious salad and freshly baked french bread. For dessert we shared key lime pie and cannoli - both were excellent! Stefani Prime has a very chic atmosphere and by 6:30 pm on a Saturday night it was hopping so do make a reservation. The servers were friendly and very attentive and I truly recommend checking this wonderful restaurant out- you will not be disappointed! read more

This place is awesome. Pricey but worth it. I had one of their specials. It was a NY strip steak with crab meat on top. With a side of grilled asparagus. The steak was cooked perfect. We got an appetizer of sausage with peppers and it was amazing. Service was on point. The waiter was attentive and the other servers were constantly refilling our water. We sat in the patio area that I didn't even know they had but it was beautiful. And everything was spotless. I've been here a few times and every time it's been excellent. read more

My partner and I ate here for a special occasion. Open Table did not offer us an option where we could sit. The hosts were very immature and clearly inexperienced. We were sat at a four top near the bar area which was very loud. I asked to be moved to another smaller four top towards the back and instead we were placed at a wobbly two-top in the corner. When I asked the host for another table (there were plenty) he said there was nothing he could do. Another couple seated next to us had the same complaint. Our waitress apologized and gave us her card to call her if we were to come in again. A very nice gesture but I shouldn't have to do this. Stefani Prime is a great place to eat any night of the week but be sure to make reservations ahead of time as they are busy and book up fast! They have valet parking and the guys do a great job of quick service in and out! All the food on the menu is top drawer quality and doesn't disappoint! We were celebrating my birthday and boy what a fantastic meal we had. Matt our server was so friendly, made us feel comfortable and didn't miss a thing! 10 stars for him alone! We had calamari to start then I ordered the 22oz. ribeye which was cooked to perfection. My sister ordered the lobster risotto which was decadent! We also had a NY Strip and Lake Superior White fish. While that's not inherently negative, it set a tone that felt less lively than we expected for a night out with friends. Service: Our waiter was talkative but not particularly helpful. Lots of words, but no real guidance on menu selections, which left us feeling a bit lost. Food: Average at best. With all the great reviews, we were anticipating standout dishes, but nothing impressed us enough to want to return. Overall Impression: Disappointing. The hype didn't match the reality, and while the setting was fine, the combination of uninspired food and lackluster service means we won't be coming back. I've been on a hunt to find the best cookie skillet in the Chicago suburbs, and while the city has plenty of great options, it's harder to find something on par out here. So, my friends and I have made it a mission to try cookie skillets at different suburban spots. Stefani Prime has been one of the top contenders so far. Their brown butter cookie skillet is absolutely delicious--perfectly gooey and flavorful, with a pretty decent size for sharing. It definitely stands out as one of the best we've had. Along with dessert, we like to order something savory, so we tried the fries. Unfortunately, the fries were very average and nothing special, but the complementary bread they serve is really good, which helped make up for it. The service was also pretty solid--no complaints there. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm, making it a comfortable spot for a meal with friends. Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by for the cookie skillet, especially if you're on the lookout for a standout dessert in the suburbs. read more

Came back here after awhile and though the servers were super nice and accomodating, I have to be honest and leave 3 stars. For starters, we placed our order around 9:05pm, and the main course didnt come out until an hour after, 10:06pm. The NY strip was pink in the middle though I ordered medium rare. Server didn't agree with me but he still offered to bring out another steak which was nice. Maybe it's because I haven't ate out in awhile but my stomach was messed up the next morning. Prices were not bad, came out to 286 for 4 people, we had two apps, skirt steak n fries, two pasta dishes, couple alcoholic drinks and couple soft drinks. Between the order coming out late and the steak not being the temp I requested, I can't give a higher than 3 star rating. We will come back in the future and give them another shot. read more

Wanted to really like this place but left a little disappointed with the food and service. The food wasn't terrible but also not that great. Slow to get drinks and food on Friday night. Also I ordered the sea bass but they completely changed up the dish and forgot the veggies and did not tell me. When I asked the server he said they ran out of the items so that is why dish changed, all the food was a little burned and on the salty side for me as well. Got seated in the outdoor tent area and it smelled like sewage, also heard the bushes move behind me so got a little scared and was told not to worry because that is a friendly raccoon that visits once in a while. I am not sure but I don't think that is safe for guest since raccoons can carry disease and bugs. read more

We were at Stefani Prime about 7 years ago when they first opened, and we came back after all this time to try it again. The service is good and the staff is friendly, but I did not care for the drinks or for the food. The drinks: the Hampton Watermelon Sugar had absolutely no jalapeño taste at all, and i would've never guessed there was a honey syrup in the Tropic Tom Collin's. But the staff was nice and they gave us new drinks after our feedback and it tasted a lot better. The burrata was strange, it was soft on the outside but hard on the inside. The coconut shrimp and the steak tartare was the best thing we had. For the Pear Ravioli, it was average at best. I don't even think there was any pear on the inside of the ravioli, they only topped the pasta with slices of pear. This was strange. The Short Rib Raviolacci was good. It came with a side of Caesar salad with anchovies, but it was so disappointing to see only two small slices of anchovies in the salad. Overall, I don't plan on returning. The price to quality ratio was not good, I found Stefani Prime to be very expensive. read more

This is more of a 3.5 star review. The car valet was the most friendly person we encountered while eating here. When we walk in at 4:50 pm on a Tuesday night, with the place practically empty, we weren't greeted with a hello or welcome, just a - "do you have reservations." To which we said no. We were then informed, you have "an hour and a half for your table." I said we're fast eaters - not even a chuckle from the greeter. Anyway - our server was timely and attentive but somewhat robotic in nature. The bread and buttah was excellent. The ribeye was carved table side, nice touch but all the food was room temperature. I like my food hot, don't you? The wedge salad was excellent with an over abundance of blue cheese. As we left, the place was half empty and I believe we met their 1.5 hour table requirement. Possibly one of the most enjoyable meals I have ever had. When we checked in with hostess and heard her tell her assistant to take us to a table out on the patio. I was was quite concerned as it was 42 degrees in Chicago that night. As we were led outside we found a glass enclosed patio with about a dozen large heaters. A pleasant surprise. Our waiter, Michael, made the four of us feel, from the start, as if we were the only ones he had to take care of. He answered questions about the menu and provided very informed recommendations. He continued to check in with us throughout our meal. Salads are a part of all dinner orders. Side salads such as Kale, Apple, Wedge and Caesar Salads are offered at a slight up charge. My wife and my sister-in-law went for the Wedge. I ordered the Spaghetti Frutti di Mare. A wonderful mix of calamari, mussels, shrimp, clams in a tomato garlic herb broth. Plenty of seafood in a nicely spiced sauce. My wife ordered Veal Scallopini with Fettuccini. It was incredibly tender. My sister-in-law ordered Lobster Risotto of which she raved. She shared tastes of the risotto, which was great but stopped the sharing there. Her husband ordered the New York Strip steak. Though I'm not really a steak person this was very tender and delicious. I was completely blown away with the food at Stefani Prime! And yes the valet team are best in the area, servers are solid, but the food was 5 Stars! My table for 4 ordered the Crudo (don't take off the jalapeños-it really makes the dish) and the Meatball for Apps. Both were A+!! We ordered a chicken parm for the table which was light and juicy!! Just perfect! The filet (med rare) and short rib (special of the day) melted in your mouth! But what blew our minds was (in order) the Tagliatelle (special w/sausage) and the Red Wine Fettuccini (in parm wheel)!! These two are must get, just hope the Tagliatelle makes the regular menu! Omg such a good time tonight at Prime With friends. Always can trust Stefani's for great food and impeccable service. After getting us serviced with cocktails our waiter Sage helped us create a collection of several appetizers to get us going. we had the meat ball , some fried calamari, the sliced sirloin and some lobster arancini. After we had some time to rest Sage helped us navigate the menu for a variety of entrees since he knew we were going to share. His patience with us and knowledge of the menu put our trust in him. Overall, it's just not the same/as good as it used to be. Given the prices, I expect more. Visited yesterday and ordered a Caprese salad, which I have done many times in the past. The tomatoes were so under ripe they were inedible (not exaggerating.) When the server took my plate, I explained why I didn't eat the tomatoes and she said she would let the chef know. That's helpful for the next customer but I would've appreciated an offer to replace my meal or an adjustment to our bill. Been here twice now and got 2 totally different experiences. First things first DO NOT eat the oysters! They don't actually shuck them all the way and you have to destroy the oyster to get it out yourself. Very disappointed since the sauce was delicious. First trip server was attentive and informative (just keep in mind a slow pace is the pace for this restaurant so don't be in a rush here which is nice but good to know). The food is amazing (besides the oysters:)- and the reason we came back. I have now had both raviolis and they are amazing . We had the prosciutto appetizer with burrata and could eat that every day. Now the second visit was a Tuesday and it was busy since they do a purse giveaway every Tuesday. We had a great table and seemed good until we ordered the oysters then our dinner order wasn't taken till we had been there an hour which is a bit long even for a slow dining experience. We ordered drinks with our dinner but they didn't come until I waved the waiter over and was halfway done our dinner. Told the manager he said he would be handling our table now and then when I ordered my martini from the manager it was wrong!! So now I have everyone messing up our dinner. But I will say the valets are always lovely and fast. For transparency we were comped our dinner and will likely return because the pasta is so good but just sad it won't be our new place like we wanted. read more

Stefani Prime offers the full package for a fine dining restaurant. I had the lobster seas bass (5s), my daughter had the kale salad (5s), husband had the skirt steak (5s) and my other daughter had the Italian sausage pasta dish (also 5s). This place is hopping on a Saturday night. We didn't have reservations but they found us a place at the bar. The food is wonderful and the service outstanding. We had the short rib ravioli and the whitefish. Both cooked perfectly. It came with a humongous salad. Plus they brought out fresh sliced baguette and butter. The menu is mainly Italian but they had a nice selection of beef dishes. The cocktails were also wonderful. Staff is masked and friendly. They have valet parking in front which was nice. read more

Honestly that steak was so good and cooked just like I like it - medium rare. No complaints on food. Service was friendly and quick. The Ambiance of the restaurant felt modern and romantic. Absolutely top notch. Easy reservation, you get seated right away. Valet is also a must, it's complimentary, but you don't have any choice but to valet. They are not slow at gathering your car, so that's good. Just be sure to have cash to tip the valet out. The ambience is also great. The trendy restaurant is perfect for a great night with friends or a significant other. I went in the winter and they have an patio that is covered and warm and gives you the indoor feeling. I would've preferred to sit inside, but it was still warm in the patio, which was nice. The service was outstanding. Our server answered any and all questions for us. He was attentive and helpful throughout. Our steaks were prepared perfectly and burst with flavor at every bite. I suggest sharing a side with one other person, as of course, they are large portions. While this is a bit of costly establishment, it's safe to keep in mind that it is a steakhouse. The quality and amount of food you receive is well worth it. read more

05/08/21 - I'm here @ Stefani Prime (finally) for a Saturday Brunch for a Fund Raiser for Queen of All Saints. Very nice event w/a great turn out for a very worthy cause. It looks like this event was sold out as every seat in the restaurant is occupied. In addition they had several other brunches & dinners at Stefani Prime for Queen of All Saints. This was a pre planned list of meals to order from. My wife and I came here & started w/a mimosa. After that our waiter brought out a fruit plate w/cantaloupe, honey dew, watermelon, pineapple, and a few assorted berries. (Nothing spectacular & too much for 2 people). We both ended up getting the same dish. Smoked salmon lox covered by a bed of lettuce, red onions, w/tomatoes, capers, & boiled eggs w/2 pieces of toasted bread. This was pretty tasty. For dessert we had cannolis & coffee. Stefani Prime is a beautiful restaurant w/a nice ambiance. Our waiter was very good. Good meal but nothing exceptional for a worthy cause.
