I was working with MSI (impossible after 6 weeks) and I saw a yelp review for MSI that recommended this place. I didn't hold my breath since it's COVID & everyone is so busy, but when I called to ask some questions & to schedule a time to see their stock, Jim answered all my questions & was so nice to talk with! We went later in the week to check out the stone, Jorge showed us around & was also super helpful! We schedule a delivery, had to pay for the trucking company, but the cost of the rock + delivery was cheaper than our local supplier & I didn't even get a price from MSI. The trucking company delivered our 1000+sqft of pavers to a single driveway concrete square! We have 2 cars that we'd like to keep on the driveway, but we thought there was no way that would happen, but they did it! Plus the crates that the pavers came in I'm going to use as planter boxes so extra bonus. Highly recommend!! read more

We worked with Harris on our first visit to view their selection of travertine as we planned out backyard landscaping. Harris was extremely helpful! He was very patient, showed us all their selection of travertine and how it would even looks after we were to seal it with a wet sealant. After checking with other travertine places, we decided to go with Travertine US as they had the best looking material and Harris's service put them over the top. Harris was even willing to hold our material in their warehouse for 2 months till we had our landscaping prepared for installation. In the end the job looked fantastic and it's very much due to the great product and service of Travertine US. Was helpful when we first went in. Gave a substandard travertine which we paid extra for to deliver on our dime. What we saw at their facility is. It what we got. Also asked for help with pawers and not much help. Not cheap either . Ok quality and nothing to rave about. read more

This small business focused mostly on natural stones. Most other places I visit didn't even have material in stock. So from my understanding there is always variety with stone. My contractor sent me to this place to pick pavers and some ledge stones. I talked both Jorge and Jim both very helpful. Also they Have a large outdoor showroom that I found very helpful. Seeing stones it installed made my decision easier. If you are looking for any type of stone I would visit them first. They most likely have it in stock. read more

I bought a large quantity of walnut travertine tile a couple of months ago to refinish 3 bathrooms. We discussed a few options with Jim who recommended we go with the french pattern. They had multiple displays of the pattern in different color choices, so we could see how it would look. This was a great choice. Jim also gave advice on mortar, grout, and sealer. We have been shopping around for silver colored stone pavers. Been to couple places but they said they have to order it for us. But I didn't feel comfortable buying something without seeing it first. We walked into Travertine US in a busy time. Had to wait a little but it was worth it. Jim has answered all our questions patiently. Also they had the stone in their yard. Whole experience was very smooth and professional. In couple other places we felt salespeople was quite pushy. Nobody needs that kind of attitude. You cannot find a more honest, sincere, trust worthy and hard working person than Jim. I was driving past his office complex one day and decided to stop by. Before meeting him I had already spoken to five other places/persons on Junction Road in San Jose. Jim patiently educated me on Travertine tiles, the varieties available, pros and cons etc. and after an hour I was sold and I signed the contract with him within three days. He delivered the tiles and finished my entire backyard with one of his associates. It included laying travertine tiles and erecting a seat wall. He never said No to anything even if we made slight changes to the original agreement. At the same time, he was not dangling out the statement "it's going to cost lot more money". His communication skills are superior to many other people in this business. It was a pleasure working with him and I recommend him strongly to anyone that wants to redo their front/backyard with good natural stone work. He has the best quality stones from Turkey. I put in a travertine driveway. I was calling around on material and ran into a few large importers in Florida. They claimed they resold to merchants like Travertine US and promised the highest quality and 5-day delivery. Pretty appealing. I also visited large local wholesale warehouses in Hayward who sell only to the trades. I chose to go with Harris at Travertine U.S. however. Here is why: He is the nicest guy. Harris should give classes in customer service. Polite, helpful and doing everything he can to make you happy. After talking with Harris, I did not care what the price difference was if any, I wanted to deal with him. As it turned out, my project faced a couple bumps, which they all do. I needed more material. He ran out to his supplier and within an hour had the material I needed. He hand picked the material for my job. He called me afterwards to make sure everything was OK. Had I ordered out of Florida, this project would have been a mess. read more

Yes, it is time to have a nice backyard now, but I did not have any idea what to do until I found Travertine U.S on the internet, and it sounded a good idea to have natural stone in my backyard. So I contacted them online and eventually I went to their showroom in San Jose. At first, it was kinda hard to find it, the store is located in a business park, so if you turn to Rogers Ave from Brokaw Rd., go slowly, the business park is on the right side. It was a small store specializing in natural stone pavers, the store floor was covered by these travertine pavers and the good thing is they are in stock, they were process of hanging stone tile samples, they said they carry those too. Jim the owner was very knowledgeable and helpful about the material and how to use them. I ended up getting nice warm color travertine paver pattern and got them installed last weekend. I bought tumbled travertine for my backyard patio from Travertine US. Great price and the stone itself is very beautiful, cool and, smooth to the touch. I couldn't be more please with the quality of service and information I received from Jim. He spent a good deal of time explaining to me about the stone itself, details about installation, and maintenance. Delivery was included in the price, and was exactly on time. Only very minor breakage on a few pieces on over 600 square feet. It was a great pleasure to work with Jim. He consistently tried to be as helpful as possible which was very appreciated - especially compared to the attitude of the other vendors I spoke with. We recently purchased 18" stone tiles from this place. We are just amazed how much insider information we provided by the owner (jim). This was our first natural stone purchase and we knew very little. Jim spent over one hour with us till we get everything we need. I have to admit it feels good to deal with the owner directly.
