GO TO ANOTHER COUNTY TAX OFFICE LOCATION!!! Just left the office after attempt 2 to get new car registration and title transfer. Michele Walker was the clerk who "tried" to assist me both times. I noticed her name tag said employee since 2009. I'm baffled by how that's even possible. Michele has no place in customer service. It is clear that she has no desire to help people navigate the messy business that is state/federal paperwork. I'm college educated. I'm no dummy. But it seems Micheles mission is to make you feel like one. Is it so hard to educate someone the first time on what exactly they need to come back with? I wouldn't even call that going above and beyond - thats simply the bare minimum of a job requirement. Michele looked thru my paperwork on my first visit calling out a couple missing pieces. Sure, my fault. Came back with those pieces. But still no, there are now missing parts within the paperwork she's already reviewed. I'm shocked by how much extra paperwork/supporting documents Michele needs compared to what is listed on the County Tax Office site. A bill of sale in addition to the title? Seems redundant. Really disappointing considering a lot of out of state/new to TX people, that's an early interaction they have when getting car paperwork in line. read more

God bless Yvonne, who not only listened to my stuttering explanation of my complicated dilemma without a single eyebrow raise, but also actually retrieved the proper paperwork and FILLED IT OUT FOR ME. Take heed to the rest of the poor reviews as I completely agree. The lines and wait times here are ridiculous. The "office" is a tiny room with few seats. There is also no bathroom! Please, Travis county, for the love of god get a bigger office. With all of these californians moving here putting money into the system, we know you can afford it!!!!! read more

The smallest office in Texas where people fill up the 8 chairs inside and then you'll usually see about 12 more waiting outside in the heat or cold. Meanwhile they have numerous other buildings and offices left unused. Government spending at its finest. read more

Amazingly helpful. Not exactly something you say often about a DMV or Tax Office. My case was reviewed at the Pflugerville office and I got a very kind lady named Lisa to help me and she responded right away via email. i thought this was going to take forever and never get resolved as i bought a car from out of state, COVID happened, my bank (USAA) was being a pain and not cooperating in sending documents and to boot the State where i bought the car wouldnt send electronic documents. Lisa was patient and kept my forms till the docs came in and now all processed. read more

This place is truly terrible! I have had the pleasure of having to use this location for years now to title vehicles I add to my business fleet. I found that no matter what time of day and what time of month i come in, there is at least a half hour wait. The ladies there are so rude and will make you take a number even to ask a question. Too many times have I had some little error on my paperwork and waste the hour I spent in their office. NO MORE! I found out there is a place on Justin lane in Austin that actually has people that like their job and handle things quickly. This place sucks it parallels a trip to a repo yard! read more

Got here at 0930 to grab a number and wait for my turn. There are only a few seats inside, so had to wait outside with the other 30 folks waiting their turn, good thing the weather was nice! 2 hours later when my number was finally called, was turned away without getting my BF's vehicle registered due to an address change and he was not present. There were 3 people behind the desk, but only 1 was working, the other 2 kept up a steady conversation about their personal lives. I see why an armed officer was present, I'm sure many people are frustrated after encountering this poorly ran, methodically slow government office. Tax payers money hard at work. read more

I showed up at 7:50 am to correct this Tax office's typo issue on my title. Their software apparently mistakenly allows numbers to be input into the name blanks. Why? The process was quick and straight forward this early in the day. If you are ever in a pinch and attempting to get your paper work in order because you are planning on selling something, I recommend you go somewhere else. Having to wait twice as long to receive a legitimate title {over 4 weeks} because of this Tax office's mistake is very inconvenient for someone that needs to sell a vehicle and can't do it until the correct title is issued. If you do go here, get there before 10am and be prepared to have to go back again after you receive your documents because mistakes are likely at this facility. read more

Well, I had to go there two days in a row (because the first time I was missing some documents). Both times, the place was not that busy. I got called up right away. So, it's fairly quick. Unfortunately, the lady I worked with was curt, condescending, and had a stank attitude. Doing chores like vehicle registration are already no fun...the least they can do is be pleasant and patient. It's not my fault you hate your life. If I knew her name, I'd call her boss because it's really unacceptable for an employee to act like that in a job that requires so much interaction with people. I can second Christina G's review as I saw numerous people miss their place in line and get treated like garbage. I was lucky enough to not miss my number, after waiting 2 hours, but was treated very rudely and spoken down to This was my second experience with that and I will not be going back. If you have such a small location and are asking customers to take a number and wait outside how about you have a number display sign on one of the outside windows so that people don't constantly have to open and close the door to check the status? The place is over crowded and filled with arrogant, self-important, rude employees who obviously have no fear of losing their job. Recently I've been making the longer drive to the large facility, which has 20+ employee stations. The longest I've ever had to wait there has been a half hour and I luckily have not had to deal with any rudeness. read more

Stop complaining that this place is either small, slow or old school.. What do you expect? It's not an actual DMV office. You want more people working here? GO TO THE ACTUAL DMV.. I find all the workers here very helpful (as much as they can), yes there only about 3-4 of them working there. So be ready and bring your patience and lots of time to spend. Do your research ahead of time to what to bring and what you'll need. read more

Why cant we just privatize everything? Everyone knows these bureaucracies are complete nightmares dealing with which lack any potential to be a streamlined, efficient business. I try to come into these places with an open, friendly attitude but of course as soon as I entered the place there was a long line with people pissed off because they were here several times before being told something different every instance. Then of course my name came and I gave the worker my legal pile confirming I was who I said I was in several forms with a vehicle confirming the obvious we spent at least 15 minutes explaining what each piece of information represented. Really, what put the "cherry on top" so to speak was a week later when I started getting spam in my mail which had intimate details which ONLY the DMV had. Great to know they are handling my personal information well! read more

This sub office is awful. We have lived in Pflugerville for two years and have used this facility due to convenience. I keep asking myself why.....this place is not convenient it is incredibly small and there is always at least a 45 min wait. Whenever you call up there they don't bother to tell you what you will need to bring, they wait to do that once you get up to the tellers window, which is always understaffed, tell you that you are missing something then of course you have to get whatever it is you're missing and then wait another 45 min to finally take care of the business you were there for in the first place. Absolute frustration, they need a bigger facility and more staff. read more

The ladies here are SOOOOOOO nice, my lord have mercy. Can they be any more "Nicer"? heheh. I visited this place, which is super close to home, on a Thursday early afternoon (1 or 2pm) and I was surprised by the amount of people in line at the drive-thru (and the fact that there was even a drive-thru for an office such as this is mind-boggling, in a good way). There were people who took numbers and were waiting outside. It was so nice outside that I myself stood by the entrance and made acquaintance with others who were waiting. I think the wait was no more than 25-27 mins before I was seen by Rose or Rosie. Very nice lady and I was literally in and out, I was wondering whether I had came to do everything I needed to do. She told me that because I had already came completely prepared with all the correct paperwork and supporting documentation, that this was the fastest she had dealt with a customer that week. I was WOWed at the fact that people (even in 2016) continue to come to DMVs and other offices such as this, unprepared and just looking at the employees faces to see if they would do it for them. I have used this office multiple times and it has always been an easy process. All you have to do is make sure you are prepared. I know when the office will be packed, so I avoid those days and pick my time to go by (the last few days and first few days of each month are busy). Came in to renew my car regn at 930pm. Pulled a ticket that placed me 20th in the queue. The location is really small with 3-4 staff, and the crowd was increasing by the minute. I waited for sometime growing impatient. In comes a staff (Garcia, I think), that started a special line for vehicle regn renewals. It made sense, because it could be done and people could be sent away in 3 minutes. I also had an address change, had no problems, she was super fast and I was out of my way in under 2mins. Thanks to her, her effort and efficiency to help out, I didn't lose half of my work day, They don't do the special line every day ( I think they should though). 4 stars to this employee. People going here for other reasons, are in for a long wait. -1 star for that. I don't think the employees are at fault though, they are seriously understaffed for the number of people walking in. I am not going back here next year, I may not be lucky next time. If you can do it online, or grocery stores I'd recommend that, so its helpful to everyone. read more

This place is terrible. Do not use the drive through!! Unless you want to be there for hours. I used the drive through because my knees where hurting. When I got there ,there was only one car in front of me. Then about 10-15 minutes later it pulled away. Then I pulled up and the lady said she would help me in just a minute. Meanwhile I saw three people park get off and come back before she ever came back to the window. I waited for over 25 minutes and she never came back. I tried ringing the bell but no one would answer. By then the parking lot was filled so I had to park on the street and the entire waiting area was full so I had to stand outside for another half hour. I had to keep coming in and out to check my number so I wouldn't get skipped. All the ladies seemed abrupt, rude, and just plain mean. Never go to this location its just awful. read more

So if you see someone with a broken ankle hobbling on crutches to the door, and people going in and out the door. Be nice enough to wave them off before make it to the door and lock it on them. Yeah. these folks did this. And I heard laughing on the other side. Then once at car, I see a police officer/constable let someone else who just arrive in? I asked if they are opened they said no, the door says 400pm. Then let the guy in. I only went to this substation because need my placard and DMV sent me there saying they were open until 430pm. I go there at 410pm. So yeah, late. But alittle customer service and common courtesy would have gone a lonnng way. Going to drive to Austin to avoid this place. read more

I had to transfer title from my parents name to several beneficaries. This is the place to be, I had brought in several documents and they only needed half. If you live in the Travis County area it is worth the time to go to Pflugerville office. They are nice and courteous and very helpful. read more
