If I can't get in contact to order an item I wonder how it would be if I needed a repair for one of their pieces. I agree with Jill G. I tried to get a piece custom ordered and having worked in law enforcement and sales in the past, my experience clearly indicated a deceptive pattern of behavior. They broke all contact before I could get a piece custom ordered and the Ebay reviews are all nonsense. The positive Ebay reviews are comprised of hundreds of positive comments for items purchased at less than a dollar. Obviously what they did was make multiple purchases on their own items listed, just so they could leave themselves feedback. This company has to be the worst I've ever worked with. EVER. I ordered a custom pendant (14k white gold guitar pic) for my husband for Christmas. I placed the custom order in late November and was guaranteed delivery by Christmas time. I spoke to Ben several times over the phone making sure the order was exactly what I wanted. In the beginning they are great.... but once you pay for it.... forget about getting decent service. So I spoke with Ben on an off periodically while they were making the pendant. Well, the closer it came to Christmas, the more nervous I became. I was no longer able to get in contact with Ben. I had heard nothing in a couple weeks so I tried calling. I was told to call back in 20 minutes. So I did... I was told the same thing again. This went on for DAYS! Every time I called, the guy on the phone would tell me I needed to speak with Ben but apparently Ben is ALWAYS helping customers on the show room floor. What am i?! Am I not a paying customer too?! Just because I cant physically walk into your NYC store I get put on the back burner?! I honestly think they didnt care because I was spending less than $400. So finally I had the last straw, the guy said to call back... I told him every time I call back Im told to call back again and Ben never returns my calls. So finally, a week before xmas, I talk to some guy on the phone (not Ben of course) and he says its ready but it just needs to be polished and cleaned up. Great.... sounds like I will have it on time. NOPE! not a chance. A few more days (about 2 days before xmas eve) they say they are shipping it express to arrive xmas eve. Well, xmas eve arrives. No pendent. I call... am put on hold for 20 minutes then TOLD TO CALL BACK IN 20 MINUTES! So, reluctantly, I call back in 20 minutes. The phone rings and rings and rings. Nobody there. No answer. No pendent that was guaranteed by xmas. My husband didnt have anything to open xmas morning except for a few small cheesy things. They ruined my holiday. All they had to do was polish it and get it out the door but that didnt happen. So it gets better.... after playing this phone tag game for another 3 weeks... it finally arrives... 3 weeks AFTER xmas. No apologies. No discount. Nothing. And I was not happy with the finished product to say the least. The gold had several blemishes in it, not smooth at all. Our initial were supposed to ENGRAVED on the back... they laser engraved them instead. Looks horrible. The engraving looks nothing like my hand writing (as it was supposed to) and it looks like it was written by a 5 year old. Horrible experience. $6,500 gold and diamond chain purchased through TraxNYC. -Total miscommunication with company and sales rep from the jump. He lost our payment (Yes, actually lost it). Did NOT mail our item out until almost 2 weeks after the transaction was processed. When we REPEATEDLY called the company (at least 3 times/day) to find out where our money and/or product was, we either got a very unprofessional, "Yeah yeah, we'll call you back, he'll call you back" or just a steadily ringing line with no answer at all. We even tried to make excuses in our head and to eachother for them.... "Maybe they're just working on the piece?". NO. They we not. The sales rep told us, when we were actually able to get him on the line, that the piece "was already made when you saw it for purchase online". We of course ended up receiving our package.... via the regular mail man, shipped via regular ground snail mail, with absolutely no type of package insurance placed on it (Didn't I pay extra for that???). -The typed "formal" appraisals they include with your purchase? Please take the following advice seriously: DO NOT RELY AT ALL ON THE NUMBERS PROVIDED!!!! The weight they gave was ridiculously off. The amout of carats (diamonds) was ridiculously off. The price quote? DEAR LORD!!! That is also ridiculously off. When it was taken in for an appraisal three days ago, I damn near had a heart attack when I was told it's current value. It is nowhere near what we paid.... it's worth is roughly 20% what we paid. They put a disclaimer on the appraisal sheet.... in regard to the price/monetary worth. There is no disclaimer to weight.... as there SHOULDN'T BE. How are you going to say you're reputable.... but y'all don't even know how to properly weigh and record your pieces? Next step(s)? 1. I'm taking the piece to get magnetized.... I almost don't even trust that it is %100 reall gold. 2. File a claim with the BBB of New York State against these guys. 3. Make sure I NEVER purchase jewelry online again!!! read more

After looking at several places online for a men's engagement ring, I decided to check out TraxNYC. Judging online, they had a very broad selection at very reasonable prices. You have to see the receptionist who will take you right across the hall to the showroom. I was assisted by an associate named Isaac. I was able to tell him my price range, and he assisted me with looking at various rings within that price range. I ended up picking out a ring. They appraised it, cleaned it, and put it in a box for me. I explained to Isaac I didn't have my partners ring size at the time, and he was very accommodating in allowing me to bring my partner back to get the ring sized to his finger. So I took the ring home and ended up deciding on a different ring that I preferred much more over the one I picked. TraxNYC has a 14 day return policy, so I took the ring I purchased back and told Isaac I wanted to exchange it for a different ring. He was very helpful in allowing me to exchange it and check out the other ring I seen online. The new ring was a couple hundred more than the previous ring so they just charged me the difference and got me a new appraisal and receipt for the new ring. The ring was a decent quality and my partner was very happy with the ring. I took him back after proposing and was promptly assisted by another Trax associate with sizing the ring and cleaning it. I missed his name but he made sure the ring was a good fit once sized and very professional. The sizing only took an hour which I thought was a pretty good time frame. I would definitely recommend Trax to anyone not only looking for diamond rings but other diamond jewelry. read more

I ordered a men's gold chain for a Christmas present. My boyfriend wore it for 2 weeks, and the chain randomly snapped. I called to see if they could repair it. First of all the woman on the phone was very sassy and misheard me. And second she told me i had to get the package delivered back within 3 days or else they would charge the repair. On top of that they make you pay for the shipping, which is another $40 to get "over-night" shipping. so i just decided to go to my local jeweler and they said that the chain was poorly made in the first place. this jewelry is flimsy, and i would categorize it with Walmart brand. most of the necklaces and bracelets snap near the clasps. id buy jewelry from here if it is a one time use. lost respect... read more
