    On my recent trip to Toronto, I discovered Tre Mari Bakery, and I'm so glad I found this gem of a spot in Little Italy area. From talking to others I learned this family-owned gem has been a beloved part of the community since the 1960s, and it's easy to see why as I indulged in things. Staff is friendly and seem happy to be here. Also, seating facing the road with large glass windows is great for a curious people watcher like me :) The moment I walked in, I was captivated by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The array of sweets on display was irresistible with so many cannoli options. I couldn't leave without trying the ricotta cannoli and spritz, and they did not disappoint - light, creamy, and great all around. I paired my pastry with a shot of espresso which was much needed. Good quality espresso for sure. Tre Mari also offers a variety of hot, cooked meals. I decided to try their veal and mushrooms with pasta on my second visit, and it was like a homemade meal - hearty, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The veal was very impressive, bursting with flavor and the mushrooms were a great addition. Even as a first-time two time visitor, I felt like I was part of something special. Tre Mari Bakery is more than just a place to grab a bite; it's a place where tradition, quality, and community come together. If you're ever in Toronto, this bakery is a must-visit. Make sure you have this gem of a spot on your list!

    I am very very torn about giving Tre Mari 4-stars. But alas, the service's a little bit of a let down for me, so I had to make note of that. My partner and I usually try to get each other birthday cakes from different local Toronto bakeries so we can try out different places. This year, I chose Tre Mari. My partner wanted a fruit cake so I ordered the Tutto Frutta. It was hands down one of the best cakes I've had in Toronto. The cake itself was so moist, simple, and good. The whipped cream was just the right amount of sweetness. It was light and delightful. However, when I did curbside pickup for the cake, their email says to park on a side street and call them so they can get the cake ready. I called, the person told me to wait a moment (without confirming that they were gonna go check on it or anything) and then promptly left me hanging for almost 15 mins. I could hear laughing and joking around in the background. I got impatient (because at this point, wouldn't you be?) so I hung up and redialed. The guy that answered the phone apologized for my waiting and told me to pull up to their back door and he'll be right out. Their back door is in a narrow alley way and because it took so long, a truck needed to get through and we needed to move. We had to park the car in a random spot and I had to get out of the car and wait at their back door. We were expecting guests and I was in a hurry to get home and start on the roast so needless to say I was extremely unhappy. Overall, I really enjoyed Tre Mari's cake but just thinking about the whole pick up process, and the need to drive outside of the downtown core has me hesitating a little.

    As someone who grew up with Italian bakeries at every corner and had multiple options to choose from for various cold cuts, pastries and goods, I know my point of view may be a bit differet than those who to an Italian bakery as a curiosity. Please note that weekends and in particular Sundays, are busy Italian bakery days. So, my question is how in the world is only having one cashier, one person at the pastry booth, 5 people behind the bar chatting and giggling excusable? Those lines here are brutal and not to mention, people simply toss manners and decorum out the window to get theri hands on whatever dessert they want (usually not even the traditional Italian desserts funny enough). The food...It is overpriced, not gonna lie. Is it the best quality? No. Are the products hard to find? In Corso Italia? No but elsewhere in the city? Probably if Little Italy is excluded. Foods to avoid: the bread (it will harden in a day), soft cheeses (the thickness of the film gives it a spooky feel), the coffee (I would skip it), and the cold cuts probably to avoid the cost for something unlikely to be of the freshest quality. Foods to get: A Zeppole (although it will be moister than others), the Tiramisu could be worse but most definitely could be better, and chocolates or pre-packed goods that are from Italia. The service...For the 70 dollars I spent on a birthday cake, I would have hoped for at the bare minimum a closed box. I understand that no one wants things squished and smashed. However, why not place the cake in a bigger box? I asked for a bag since it took me well over an hour to reach my designation of this bakery...Denied. When I asked for a bag, just give me a big bag. I saw people with small items leave with huge bags given to them by the cashier. I informed the cashier that I was traveling all the way down to the waterfront/lakeshore. I got two random answers that equated to too bad, so sad, good luck. So a 70 dollar cake PLUS the 21 dollar Uber down to my place because I guess hindsight is 20/20 and I should've brought my own bag. Not. Worth. It. Next time, I will just go to a nearby place and get some cupcakes or something. If you were like me looking for a cannoli cake, there are other bakeries in the city that make them. At the length of time and aggravation this trek costed me, I will simply go to Vaughan next time for something akin to what I ordered.

    The cannolis here are very good. I got strawberry and pistachio and both were not too expensive and we're delicious. They weren't too sweet and also had a wide variety of them. If you want a good cannoli I recommend going here.

    Very great selection of foods from fresh buns to prepared hot foods to sliced meats! I went there with my friend for her to try the cannoli and she enjoyed it very much (it was her first time having cannolis). I got a shortbread cookie and it was not stale which was a plus. I am interested in coming back to try their hot foods one day.

    Tre Mari Bakery was my first real introduction to a chocolate cannoli and from that first bite, I was hooked. Since then, I haven't had one that I've liked better. The velvety filling, the crunch of the deep fried pastry dough and the semi-sweet flavour of the chocolate is a perfect union. On the savoury side, I've also tried their lunch special. Although the serving was generous, I wasn't won over by the meal. I found the meat to be dry and the potatoes to be under seasoned. That said, the long line up at the hot bar tells me that many others do enjoy it and I will be going back to give their lasagna a try. After all, quality of a pasta dish is a true indicator of a good Italian shop. I can understand why they has been in business since the 1960s. This family owned store feels like a loving community clubhouse and it's obvious their customers are loyal. The desserts, deli and Italian-focused pantry items are more than enough reason to stop by and become a loyal patron yourself. If you need any more convincing however, I offer you one more reason: their tiramisu.

    Best cannoli in Toronto imo! Pistachio and strawberry Chantilly cannolis are my favourite! It's also where I usually get my jams and found the pisti pistachio spread from there! Friendly and fast service.

    If you visited here you would know why it's 5 stars. It has everything; gelato, crossiant sandwiches, hot plate food (pastas, lasagna etc.) , fresh pastries, deli meat and my favourite , coffee! When you arrive you just head to the counter you'd like; order and pay first then grab a seat. The atmosphere had that homey feel yet it had modern rustic seating and it was very clean. I love the cappuccino and Jean-Paul recommended we try the milk alternative hazelnut milk since soy doesn't froth as well. It was delicious - stole my heart. Jean-paul was very friendly and greeted everyone when they entered. After speaking to him we felt more in love with this place and can see the passion they have for their craft. I can't wait for summer to see what kind of gelato he cooks up.

    Probably the friendliest service I've ever had at a bakery / cafe .. I normally go to Caldense because it's close to my house. But I was in the neighbourhood and decided to come here and everything I got was delicious! The coffee is velvety and smooth and the cannolis are to die for ! I recommend the pistachio ones but the ricotta ones are delicious and fresh as well!

    Predatory old Italian men sit outside. Overpriced, lowkey I think they have rats. Don't fw the ambience.

There is an upstairs balcony seating but I've never sat there. During warm weather, there is plenty of roadside outdoor seating too. This is my fourth time here but I never wrote a review fir the restaurant before. We ordered the following: 1. Shrimp Perno (daily special $6/shrimp). Jumbo Shrimp sautéed in garlic, white wine, tomatoes, scallions, and finished off with a shot of perno liquor. 2. Rack of Lamb (daily special $59.95). Four pieces of lamb in a rack, with a rich portion wine reduced sauce, that has a touch of mint to it, and Penne Pasta in a tomato rose sauce. The table bread was really good. The crust was crispy but the inside was fluffy. The soft butter that came it was so tasty. The bread was perfect for dipping in the sauce that came with the shrimp. We asked for a second basket of bread and they put two loafs in the second basket. It was too much so they were willing to let us take it home. The shrimps were definitely jumbo. It was so filling. Two pieces (per person) were good enough as an appetizer. The shrimps were perfectly cooked. We requested the lamb be cooked medium rare. It was definitely medium rare. It was juicy and did not have a gamey taste. It tastes great. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The tomato rose sauce was really good. They offered to grind parmesan cheese and pepper so we got both. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and paid parking lots. Review 2025-187

For dessert we shared the Tiramisu with espresso-soaked savoiardi, mascarpone, and cocoa. I had an amaro while my date finished with zambuca. A sweet and satisfying way to wrap up the meal. The service was friendly, though drinks came out a bit slower than expected. Terroni's food is tasty, the setting is gorgeous, and it's easy to see why locals keep coming back. There were four flights of stairs to get up to the first floor with the bar and main dining area. There was another two flights of stairs to get to the upper bar (which I was too tired to walk up to). The drinks at the bar were good and the staff were all great. We started with passed apps. Some of the flavour combinations were just off (the skewer with fruit, cheese and something else) - like they paired the wrong cheese with the fruit. The meal itself was a seat down meal (family style) which did take over two hours to complete for the amount of guests that were present (over 200 ppl). My favorite dish was the tomato and mozza salad. My most disappointed dish was the ragu pasta. Though containing a good amount of meat it was not saucy at all. The pizza was the brocolini was good as well. The reason I gave this restaurant three stars is strictly for the lack of elevator and the food quality vs the price. For what you are paying, there is so much higher quality food in the city and I honestly think you can get better bang for buck elsewhere.

The only small complaint was it did take a while to get our wine after we ordered it and a little while to get our check. Otherwise cute spot.
