The sales associate I dealt with was dismissive and rude right away. I explained that I had recently been to the dealership, where I was told that my front two tires needed to be replaced, while the tread on my back tires was still good because they were relatively new. However, the associate at Discount Tire told me that all four of my tires had undrivable tread and that it was unsafe for me to drive. He then told me he would only service my car if I purchased all four tires. I explained that I was specifically looking to replace the two front tires. He initially told me he could not service me that day. Then, when we were preparing to leave, suddenly he said he could service me if I purchased four tires in a different size than what I needed, at a price of around $970 for four tires, even with an $80 rebate. He later changed his position again and said he could put only two tires on, but then said he had tires in a completely different size. The entire interaction felt like he was continuously changing the options simply to make a sale. He also repeatedly brought up his commission, which I found completely inappropriate and irrelevant to my situation. What really put this experience into perspective was that I drove about 10 minutes down the road to Tire Kingdom. The difference was night and day. They were honest, knowledgeable, transparent about pricing, and not pushy whatsoever. They actually told me that I didn't even need to purchase tires that day and that I could potentially go another 2-3 months before needing them. That level of honesty meant a lot to me. I ultimately purchased four tires from Tire Kingdom for $480, thanks to a buy-three-get-one-free special they were running, and they had all four tires installed in under 45 minutes. I highly recommend Tire Kingdom at 2600 Pine Island Road INSTEAD OF THIS DISCOUNT TIRE (TAKE MY WORD!) The staff at tire kingdom was incredibly helpful, attentive, knowledgeable, and transparent throughout the entire process. After my experience at this Discount Tire, the professionalism and customer service at Tire Kingdom were honestly refreshing. I hope other customers don't have the same experience I did at this Discount Tire location. I understand that businesses need to make sales, but there is a huge difference between helping a customer find what they actually need and making them feel pressured into spending nearly $1,000.

My daughter picked up her car and was happy with how her new tires felt. Later that night, her low tire pressure came on. When she was able to pull over in a safe area, she got out to check her tires and saw that one of them went flat. She normally has an air pump in her car for emergencies but we had taken it out and forgot to put it back in so we drove to where she was and filled the tire back up with air so that she was able to drive it home. Since this was Saturday night and they were closed on Sunday, she had to wait until Monday to call. When she called on Monday and told them what happened, they told her to bring her car in and they would look at it. After checking with their Corporate Office, they agreed that they would replace the tire at no cost. It was very simple and so nice that we didn't have to argue with them. What concerns me most is that when I questioned the total at the store, I was given a $100 discount on the alternator price. That means the original pricing would have been even higher. While I understand businesses apply markups to parts and labor, a difference of this magnitude feels unreasonable and inconsistent with fair customer treatment. I also understand the local manager advised that pricing is not set at the store level and suggested I contact corporate.
