Cute boutique not much selection though. We paid $6 for 2 chocolate chip cookies which we were looking forward to indulging on our cheat day but they honestly weren't great at all. They were pretty average. They are in prime location and the reviews seemed good but it was such a let down to use our cheat day on this cookie. Customer service was lacking as well, several customers were walking in and the lady behind the counter didn't acknowledge anyone she just stood there staring until I asked about the cookies. If I could give zero stars I would. My sweet Mom bought EIGHT of these cupcakes in all different flavors for my birthday because my favorite cupcake place wasn't open yet. I so wish that she had waited for my favorite place to open. These Treat! cupcakes are $3.75 or more each and are practically inedible. She bought Confetti, chocolate, salted caramel chocolate, two red velvet, a vanilla, a vanilla/chocolate one and a couple of the 24 carat carrot cake ones. Not a one of them is fit for human consumption. There must be a stick of butter in every cupcake. Each one is far too dense to have more than even one bite and before I could finish chewing the first bite, my tongue felt like I had sucked on a spoonful of butter and I had to spit the bite out. I thought that the frosting would make it better, but the frosting too is overwhelmingly buttery just like the cake. The cupcakes are aesthetically pleasing but like a poisonous berry, should not be eaten. Do Not waste your money at this establishment. Drive a couple miles up Champions Forest Drive until you get to the Randall's shopping center and just across from Barnes&Noble is a little cupcakery called Oooh La La Cupcakes. Their cupcakes are competitively priced but light years better than what you'll find at Treat! ! Do not be fooled by appearances or store fronts or displays at Treat! ! Now I don't have to drive all over town to get my cupcake fix. :-) I split the Choco-Nutter and the Red Velvet with my bff and OMG! Those other cupcake boutiques don't have a thing on Treat! Second time here and they never disappoint me. I had the 24kart cupcake and my niece had strawberry. Super moist and fresh. Great customer service. Any places that accepts dogs and makes organic treats for them count me all in. Zoe loved her bday cupcake that came in a choice of mini or large. I for got the ingredients but she loved it. I contemplated for a long time as to whether I wanted to give this review. I normally don't post reviews. I came into Treat at least 6 times hoping that the next visit would be a more pleasant experience. It is such an adorable bakery with attractive and fun cupcakes so who wouldn't want to love it? Well....every single time I went there especially when the older lady with black hair was working the the service was extremely rude. The first couple of times I thought maybe she was being rude to me because I had my biracial children with me but then I went alone and she was still RUDE! The last time I went I was picking up a few cupcakes for my kids and for a for a friend. I asked for her recommendations on which cupcakes we should try and once again the woman with the black hair was EXTREMELY rude. I asked for her recommendation on which cupcakes we should try and she seemed annoyed as if I was taking up too much of her time. She pointed at a chocolate cupcake with white icing that had one single chocolate swirl on it and I said that looks delicious but I could probably make that one. I said I come here for the cupcakes that are decorated so unique and fun. Her response was I doubt you could make that cupcake, you'd have to be real good. She said that very sarcastically. I said why would you think I cant make that cupcake? For all she knew I could own a bakery myself. She says well it looks easy but its actually the hardest one to make. I think she knew that her comment upset me. As I was about to pay I asked if she offered military discounts (I feel that it doesn't hurt to ask). She literally looked at me like I was crazy and said no we do not. So with all of this being said, I think it is safe to say that I will NOT be returning to Treat. This makes me really sad because I really wanted to like it. Its such an adorable bakery. Word of advice....Kindness goes a long way!!!!! I can only imagine how much higher your sales would be if you just learned to smile and be kind to people!!!!!! Oh and btw: If you don't offer a military discount that is absolutely fine. You are not obligated but when a service member or veteran asks you if you do, instead of saying NO we do not try saying something such as No I apologize we don't offer a military discount here but thank you for your service. I have never had a more delicious cupcake than the red velvet cupcake I had at Treat!. It was fresh, and even had edible glitter on the icing! I was googling directions to Chipotle for lunch, and I just accidentally saw this nearby on the map, and thought well of course I'll go get a cupcake for dessert!! This place is really kind of hard to find, but I was persistent and it paid off!! Like one other reviewer mentioned, I was not expecting a lot from a one in a million cupcake joint in a uppity shopping center. Customer service-lacking. I wasn't greeted, I wasn't spoken to at all, just stared at while I made my decision. Variety-Meh. I felt like it was just the same ol same ol. Chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, Italian cream, carrot, chocolate and vanilla, and strawberry. They had like 3 nice and different ones thrown in, but since those are all I really care about, I was a little bit disappointed. Rocky road, tiramisu, and key lime. My eyes immediately went to the tiramisu. The frosting looked so amazing. LIterally a mountain of buttercream, dusted with cocoa powder. I asked the lady for her suggestion, and she agreed the tiramisu is one of the most popular. Price-A bit steep, but I'm used to it by now. After eating the cupcake, I was totally fine with how much I paid. At this point, I would just like to say that I went to Le Cordon Bleu, and I'd like to think I know cupcakes. I didn't even pull out of the parking lot before I licked a little bit of that beautiful frosting. My heart almost exploded and I almost screamed "OH NO THEY DIDN'T!!!" That's not buttercream my friends. These people actually used mascarpone cheese!!!!! And, they hit it with a hint of alcohol. I was thinking maybe rum + a little bit of espresso extract, but now that I think about it, that equals Kahlua, and that makes sense. I put the cupcake back in the box, and try to drive home undistracted. As soon as I got on 249 and set my cruise control, that baby was getting unwrapped. The cake was so moist, the paper was wet. Some would say that's a turn off, but not for me. I honestly did not know how to tackle this thing. The mascarpone was topped so high, and the cake itself was pretty big. So I tore the cake in half, took a bit of cake, mouthful of frosting, cake, frosting, then when I got it half as big, I ate it like a normal person. My eyes were rolling into the back of my head. This is no ordinary white cake you guys. It's actually a wonderfully delicate sponge cake soaked in coffee. Hey Treat your not the only game in town and your cupcakes are mediocre at best. If there was a negative star rating you deserve it! the cupcakes were huge and that makes 3.50 a piece a bit ok. I liked the tiramisu cupcake, the only one that wasn't overwhelming. it was moist, creamy and good flavor. also the keylime was lemony, in a great way that balanced out the sugar paste on top. the white chocolate, didn't taste much but sugar. 24 karat was ok, but that super thick frosting ruined my appetite after a few bites. the chocolate lover they recommended... i liked the frosting, not over powering, but the cake was dry and funky. yap, sweet frosting is what cupcake is all about, but we are talking about inches high, dense and hurt-your-tooth sweet frosting. we enjoyed the rest of our cupcakes after scraping off half of those sugar mountains. Disappointing! Stopped by for a cupcake that is both gluten free and dairy free (which is advertised on their website AND I called about in advance). Not only did they apparently not have this item, but the lady behind the counter was very rude and clearly annoyed by my question. I explained that they have this on the website so they might want to update it - she didn't like that so much either. I have no idea if the normal items are good (it appears that they are according to reviews) and I really do not want to falsely criticize the bakery, but the poor customer service was very off-putting. read more

Customer service is dismal. I tried to order cupcakes for a birthday. I was sent away once. I wad told" the only person who could take your order is not here". I decided to try again. The help was not on the ball! Left me standing there till they could figure out who could take my order. I tell you... These cupcakes exceeded my expectations! I visit cupcake shops all over Houston and the one I had today from Treat was the best I've had for sure. I checked out their website before going and got the 'Samoa' which I thought was a unique flavor to offer. Yes, it had a lot of frosting, but so do Crave, Sweet and Sprinkles cupcakes. The reason why this cupcake is a the top of my list is that the cake itself was moist, fluffy and just the right amount of chocolate richness. The frosting was sweet fluffy as well. I typically shave off big hunks of frosting, but I actually kept eating this one. The store is clean, fresh and cute. The service girl was friendly and helpful. The entire experience was wonderful and I'm glad to have this store close to my home in Vintage Park. I have 5 other cupcakes in my box that I can't wait to try! read more

Was having some mad cravings for something sweet and baked, so when I had yelped what was around the area, this place popped up. The service was average, the lady wasn't over friendly or rude, but it definitely could have been better. The cupcakes themselves I thought were great, I had gotten the red velvet, tiramisu, and cherry lime. I enjoyed them all, a lot of their flavor was in their frosting which was great, I loved that about them since I'm not really a frosting person. For $4 a cupcake I was expecting a lil more WOW to the cupcake (I bought 3 to try with co-workers), the cake-balls were not my fav (I'll stick to SuzyBeez) This place is not a place to go gaga for if you seen Cupcake Girls, DC Cupcakes on tv then you won't get a kick of the atmosphere here as it's pretty much a cookie cutter place of all the other "cupcake bakeries". I love YELP!! I found ths place Treat! because of Yelp. Great name for this place, because these cupcakes are truly a treat. You pay $3.50 for a cupcake but it is really an upscale dessert. I bought 3 to go to eat over the next 3 days. But I must admit I already ate 2 of them. The first one I ate and was my main target was the Tiramasu. Wow. This was a taste and aroma thing. I will defiantely get this again. I ate the chocolate lovers and it was good, and I will eat the red velvet tomorrow. For everyone out there that thinks they have found the best cupcake place in Houston, but hasn't tried Treat! Cupcakes, then you haven't found heaven. A girlfriend of mine told me about this tiny shop in The Vintage over off 249. Let me tell you, I almost died. The shop is super cute with this gorgeous painting, glass and iron accents, and extremely patient, polite staffers. The first time I went in was about 2 weeks ago after we had dinner over at Peli Peli (another awesome place in The Vintage). The two ladies working were so sweet and gave us great info on each and every cupcake, then I noticed that the menu is up on the wall. I know I am a huge dork. Anyway, we bought 12 cupcakes; 24 Karat, Rocky Road, Red Velvet, Chocolate lovers, Cherry Bomb, Italian cream, Tiramisu, Confetti, Key Lime, Chocolate Rain, White Velvet, and Vanilla and Chocolate. I know what they are because the girls, come to find out on my next trip were Gigi and Ashley; love them!, put these cute little tags on them for us that had the name of each cupcake. Once we got home there was no stopping us. Each one of those cupcakes was devoured! I think my husband might have actually licked the paper from the 24 karat( carrot cake)! My favorite was the Chocolate Lovers. You know when some one tells you something was so good and how "it was better than _____!" (fill in the blank because I have to be G- rated). Well it was! Take my word for it. I would gladly turn in my husband for a dozen of those Chocolate Lovers every week. Sorry honey. The next time we went in was on our Saturday Date Night. Treat! Was packed! I saw the same girls working. Man can they move a crowd. There were about 25 people packed into this little shop. You would have thought we would have waited an hour for cupcakes, but you would be wrong. Those two had a system going that made the line move quickly. We were in and out of there in around 5-10 minutes. It was great! Not to mention the music selection was good. The girls were dancing to the beat as they worked. That could be the reason everyone was in there. Very entertaining! If you are looking for a place with great tasting cupcakes and a superior staff, then look no further! Treat! I ordered cupcakes through DoorDash. The photos of the cupcakes showed 7 small cupcakes and I ordered a two different types. When I received the order, I was surprised there were only 2 normal-size cupcakes. The cupcakes were fresh but when trying to eat them, the heavy frosting on top broke the cupcake in half and I ended up having to use a fork.
