Don't hesitate to stop in and just try a few things. I can't imagine it being disappointing! Like other yelpers have said- they will come from VA to get their fix. That's no small compliment.... It's not easy to get here from VA... people from DC don't want to make the hike up! But if you pair a stop here with the Vietnamese Ba Le or Thai place Kimm In... pretty good! The Indian place and Vietnamese cafe in this plaza also look decent! The bakery is well ACed in the heat and it's clean and cute... not a huge bakery but it was really quite nice. Some seatings were comfy (the ones in the back) and the others was a bit hard. Most of the pastries are in the middle with sweet ones on one side and savoys on the other. The price was really reasonable. I saw so many savoy ones I would love to try if I ever visit at BF time. I saw they have Cronut (Croissant and Donut in one). I had had Cronut in Vegas (at the Paris Hotel), but the ones here looked a little different so I wanted to try. Mistake. It was extremely greasy. The oil soaked through the paper plate and I had to squeeze the pieces I cut with napkins to get as much oil out as possible. I would give it a 2 star, it would have been good if not so oily. The egg tarts on the other hand deserved a 5 star. Love it. The latte tasted fine, but it took them a while to make it (almost 10 mins) and served in the normal paper cup, I was hoping for a nice latte art since it took so long. Overall it is a wonderful place to sit around and enjoy some quiet time, just don't get the cronut unless they cut down on the oil...

Try something that sounds weird, it's half the fun of coming in here. CONS * Allergies - it wasn't clear what all everything was made with so if you're trying to avoid gluten or peanuts or eggs, I didn't see much on ingredients. I know for some people that's a red flag. * The tea. We just thought it was above average but not amazing. I mean its right in the name, come on. * Collecting items - you gotta look for the little trays and the salad tongs. That's what you use to grab stuff out of the cases. I am confused why there are no fruit flavors available. Maybe its a seasonal thing, but I would love to see some creative fruit flavors in the future. Both had oat milk and were creamy and delicious. I think we drank them down in seconds. I also purchased a chocolate avalanche pastry. Since it's a French bakery, I had expected the pastry to be rich in chocolate and not sweet. Instead, it was the opposite. I'm not sure how the other dessert-based pastries are but I'm leery now. The person who took our order wasn't pleasant by any means, but I gave a tip anyway in case they were just overwhelmed and didn't feel like being welcoming. The interior is spacious with plenty of seating with some seating outdoors. The only issue with the environment is that there was a high whistle that filled the entire establishment. That inspired us to leave sooner than expected. Our greatest disappointment was to see that with all of their plastic cups that they did not have any recycling bins.
