There are many delicious bakeries, but this is my favorite one in the Couve. The cookies are delightfully buttery and packed with cereal or chocolate or nuts. Even the flourless chocolate cookie makes me, a gluten addict, swoon. Their version of a Ding Dong is so ding dang dreamy, I buy 'em 3 at a time and then hide them from my husband. If they're sold out of the thing I came for, the backup thing I force myself to get is always super great despite my initial disappointment. Vancouver finally got a quality small batch ice cream shop! Their flavors are delicious and they have good cookies (though a little small for the price). Ice cream is a good price though, and large portions. This beats having to drive down into Portland and wait in an hour long line for good ice cream! Yay for Treat! I was staying in Vancouver for a work trip last week, and decided to wander around the downtown area during a break. I was hankering for a sweet snack, and headed this way after seeing the high reviews. I arrived probably 15 minutes before closing, and debated heavily between the apple hand pie and the chocolate chip cookie - both looked so good! The man helping me was so nice in helping me decide! The apple hand pie was amazing. It reminded me of the apple strudels I often had growing up in PA. I wish I lived closer to Treat, as I'd surely be a frequent customer! read more

I'm a big cupcake fan. Perfect size, and if done right, the perfect dessert. I make quite a few of my own but wanted to let someone else do the work for a change. I grabbed the peanut butter/Choc, B & W and Red Velvet. Not to brag but my PB & Ch is much better, moister and has better frosting. Bakeries seem to make the same rookie mistake when it comes to frosting and make it overly sweet. This was the case. Also, the crumb wasn't moist enough and that was a HUGE disappointment. No cupcake should be dry and its an easy fix. I was rooting for this little shop but between the taste and the HUGE price for 1 cupcake, I'll pass. read more

What's the use of a store that prides themselves in cupcake making when they don't have cupcakes made?! To add insult to injury you have to pay for parking in that part of town. I've tried every flavor they have and my favorites are the red velvet and good old vanilla with a killer vanilla frosting. Yum! Omgoodness. Cooooooooooooooooookkkieesss. This is where you go when you need a serious cookie. This is not the bland cookie that you buy at a coffee shop that leaves a weird aftertaste that makes you believe you just consumed enough preservatives to embalm a small animal. This is a REAL, delicious, "homemade-but-without-the-work-and-much-better-than-you-can-make-anyway" amazing cookie. All of the cookies with chocolate were INSANELY delicious. Stephanie at Treat made the most amazing creations for my baby shower. She made coconut cream (my personal favorite,) chocolate peanut butter, and a chocolate raspberry buttercream that was to die for! The women at the shower went nuts for these decadent beauties! Gets me in trouble because it's so freaking good! All the treats are freshly baked and half the time still warm. I love their super chocolate brownie and their sugar cookies. I just recently found out that they also have cold-brewed coffee and a blended drink! It's in a fun spot and easy to walk to from my work. A+! read more

The place is spotless clean and the staff are super friendly and knowledgable about their products. I got a salted chocolate chip, which was dense and flavorful. The salt complements the chocolate very well. I also got the cereal killer, and holy cow was it good! And I also got a frosted sugar cookie. DECADENT. Omg so good! The frosting is obviously made from scratch and has great flavor. There's a hint of almond essence in the frosting. Not overwhelming, but enough to make the frosting have a savory flavor, not just live as whipped sugar. Very unique. This little gem of a place is great! read more

I've passed this place a few times, and was very excited to try it out. At first when I walked in i was kind of surprised at the simplicity of the decor. But I quickly learned they put all of the bang in the cupcakes. The help is fantastic and very friendly. My five year old son, a friend and her 11 year old daughter went. They are very kid friendly, my son was being a five year old and she was very nice about it. I ordered a chocolate peanut butter cupcake, it was out of this world. The chocolate cake had peanut butter chips in it, and the peanut butter frosting was to die for. I also sampled my son's banana chocolate chip. It was very Yummy! We also shared a red velvet, tasty cake and very rich frosting on that one. My son asked for ice water and she asked the rest of us if we wanted some, and she gave us a pitcher with four glasses, such a nice thing to do!!! I hate running out of water when eating sweets and asking for refills, not a problem there! When we were done eating we talked for a while with a lady who I believe is the owner, she was so sweet! She told us every day they have chocolate, vanilla, and red velvet. Then they rotate something citrus (orange, lemon, lime) something peanut butter (choco/pb, pb and jelly, etc) something spice (chai, carrot, snickerdoodle) and some other stuff, but basically something different every day. She was very busy, and very sweet, I was on hold with her for a few minutes, paid for the order and would wait for her to deliver. When I met her and her husband in person they were very nice and helpful on many accounts, she quickly and beautifully set up the display, and her husband helped load in some heavy rentals for me. Excellent little dessert stop in DT Vancouver. When you walk in it smells like butter and love. I've been craving peaches non-stop, so we stopped by after dinner and they had 1 peach hand pie and it was delicious! We also took home a freshly baked salted chocolate chip cookie and a berry hand pie. I also sampled their soft serve and it was out of this world. Quite good treats (though a bit limited on selection). As others have said, the Cereal Killer cookie is fantastic, so the argument could be made-with a limited selection of awesomeness, how many options do you *really need*. I highly advise making a quick stop by here and grabbing one of their goodies (you do have to eat on the run, though, as there is no seating). read more
