    * Vanilla bean * Waffle cookie *
    Roni S.

    Great cookies overall! We tried the vanilla bean and the waffle cookie. When we first walked in, one employee with dark hair rolled her eyes and walked to the back, which was off-putting especially in a customer service role. Thankfully, another employee stepped in and was friendly and helpful, and our order was handled quickly. As for the cookies, the vanilla bean is perfect if you love very sweet cookies, while the waffle cookie is a bit less sweet, which I personally preferred. Both were delicious, and I love that they rotate their flavors every week.

    Can somebody say SWEET!!!! Crumble cookie is great but you must be committed to sweet. Every bite is a mouthful of flavorful sweetness. If you have health issues that prohibit or limit sweets, these cookies aren't for you. Other than that... go for it. Chewy, gooey deliciousness is what they are. The crumble team were pleasant and eager to train us in all things crumble. Check them out at least once.

    The wife is addicted to these. I'm not as much a fan as her, but with the return visit is they must be good. I love the decorations and frosting choices, as well as the ones with fresh toppings. They make ordering super convenient. Keep up the good work.

    Crumbl Cookies is an "upscale cookie" shop. They offer a very small selection, ranging from traditional to unique. There is a self-service ordering counter with two tablet devices, so you can order without having to interact with humans if that's your preference. Traditional cookies are things like chocolate chip (good overall) and peanut butter (not good - very dry, excessively crumbly, and tasted of raw flour). Unique are a double-frosted chocolate (think "Hostess chocolate cupcake") to Strawberry Pop Tart, a strawberry-filled cookie topped with an actual miniature strawberry Pop Tart. At the ordering counter is one of each actual cookie and a representation of each of three beverages available for purchase, so picking what you want couldn't be easier. They also sell smaller versions of their cookies in larger quantities for catering purposes. Purchased cookies are carefully packaged into sturdy pink boxes, each shaped to accommodate whichever quantity of cookies you purchased. This location is in a large shopping center with easy access, and plenty of parking.

    Presented more as an "upscale" cookie shop, the cookies are a bit pricier than your average cookie. I typically buy them in a box of 4 for about $16/17? (I can't remember the exact price). But! The cookies are fairly big. I typically can't finish one cookie by myself--I share with friends--but it's not just because it's big but it's also very sugary and sweet. It really is up to everyone's own preferences but my friends and I personally think it's a bit too overhyped as the cookies are two sweet to be enjoyed fully. The nice thing about Crumbl that I really enjoy though is the constant introduction of new flavors each week. All of the flavors are fairly unique and fun to try out (I used to have the app to just check what flavors they had because it was interesting ahah). In addition, although there might be a daunting line (at least for cookies), they have a self-serve kiosk and the staff is very friendly and efficient, so it goes by quickly. Overall, I would say Crumbl may be nice to have at a party or special occasion with friends but definitely not for everyday (or even once a week).

    Ordered my cookies online for pick up in Vancouver and it was such an easy process! You just need the app to order and pay over the phone. When I got to the location, it was very clean and organized. All the boxed cookies for pick up were in a designated area. It was around noon when I picked up my cookies on a Friday and it was a little busy. One of the workers greeted me and handed me my cookies in like 5 seconds! So quick and easy! I think Crumbl cookies are a little overpriced for just cookies, but I love how they have new flavors every week. Definitely a good variety of cookies to try every time.

    Their classic pink frosted sugar cookie. SO much better than those dry ones in the grocery store bakery. Served cold.

    The delivery fee is excessive so go pick it up. Otherwise, the cookies are always good and the orders are always accurate.

    Really overpriced. Seems like the same cookie, different look. Most bakers could make this cookie on their own for a quarter the cost.

You can always call ahead to ask. But it's great to be able to pick up for a vegan and vegetarian friends. They are generally open on the weekends, as both owners work full-time during the week. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this tiny bakery. Every single thing is completely handmade from scratch. They take a great pride in everything they produce. Also, every month has a different theme. We've tried their delicious goodies from the cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, and sweet, sticky buns to the cookies and hot cocoa balls. I can honestly say anything we have purchased has been delicious!! Laura makes amazing custom ordered cookies. They take her so long. I'm still amazed. She doesn't order more. Stacy creates custom order cakes. And I know they do customer requested catering; from grand openings to other special events and birthdays. Be aware there is no seating or eating in house here. It's definitely a pick up and go. There's plenty of parking and no steps getting in to the shop. You're truly cannot go wrong here. On Sundays when they have the cinnamon buns and sticky rolls, you definitely want to get there earlier! In my personal opinion, this is the best bakery in the Vancouver and Portland area.

This time, we arrived around 9A and were seated approximately 30 minutes later in the very well-heated patio area. Our server was welcoming and returned quickly for our drink order. I chose an oat-milk chai and was not disappointed. For a restaurant presented as a French bistro, I was surprised that there wasn't a single quiche on the menu. I almost ordered the BLT, but I wanted to try something different, so I chose the west coast salmon benedict with provençal potatoes and butternut squash. The hollandaise was tasty, but the benedict itself was mixed for me. It was served on a sliced croissant, which sounded appealing but wasn't sturdy enough for the toppings and quickly became soggy. Thankfully, I had removed the top half and eaten it separately. I was also expecting the thin slices of smoked salmon you might find on a bagel, but instead received a salmon fillet whose smoked flavor was barely noticeable -- perhaps the Hollandaise overwhelmed it. The butternut squash was delicious and outshined the potatoes by several miles. I wish I had asked for an entire side of squash bc some of the potatoes tasted stale, much like McDonald's fries that have been sitting around for a few hours. My daughter ordered the risotto cakes and eggs, which also made me question the "French bistro" identity, since risotto is Italian. SIL had the corned beef hash. Hubby ordered the chef's omelet with a side of bacon. And the grandbabies had pancakes, bacon, and eggs. My family makes it very obvious when food is delicious: lots of nodding, happy sighs, "You need to try this," or completely cleaned plates. Breakfast did not produce any of that. As our server was preparing to close out the tab, we asked for the dessert menu so we can sing happy birthday to one of our grandbabies. We ordered the Versailles cake and a pavlova. The Versailles was the definite winner. Suddenly, there were the yum sounds and the "You need to try this" comments. We all agreed that its light texture and coffee chocolate flavor were wonderfully similar to our beloved cappuccino mousse cake from Schubert's Bakery SF. It wasn't overly sweet, and the velvety dark-chocolate ganache was delicious. I enjoyed it so much that I went home and immediately searched for a Versailles cake recipe, only to discover that "Versailles" apparently isn't an established French dessert, but La Provence's name for its chocolate sponge layered with vanilla, coffee, and dark chocolate mousses. The pavlova was enjoyable, but it inspired nowhere near the enthusiasm of the Versailles. Between the polenta, risotto, pesto, burrata, mascarpone, tiramisu, avocado toast, corned beef hash, Benedicts, and conspicuous absence of quiche, I left wondering how much of the actual menu is French. There are certainly French ingredients, sauces, pastries, and techniques, but the overall experience felt more like a Pacific Northwest brunch café with French and Italian influences than a true French bistro. Would I return when visiting our daughter and her family? Not on my own accord. If the family chose it, I would definitely go, but I would adjust my expectations and not think of it as a French bistro, order an oat chai, request extra butternut squash, and save plenty of room for the Versailles.
