What.an.experience. I went to Treehouse looking for a late night meal after arriving in town around 11PM. The hours of operation said they were open until 2AM and the "open" sign was lit up. We walked in and were the only customers in the bar besides the owner and his friend. He told us to sit down and that they would take care of us even though they were closed. We walked in wearing masks and after 3 requests by the owner we were bullied into taking them off. Both very drunk, the owner and his friend came way too close and told belabored stories about the town and the bar. They asked us who we voted and subsequently started sharing meme after conservative meme from social media. Quite honestly fearing for our safety, we tried to leave without the food. But kept getting held up by the owner saying the pizza would just be a few more minutes. When we got the pizza we left $20 on the counter and bolted for the door. The sad part is that the vegetarian farmers market pizza was incredible. Wood fired and fresh ingredients. I appreciated them firing the stove back up for us, even though that wasn't necessary (or even preferred) at all. It's safe to say our visit to Treehouse was a very unfortunate introduction to the Quad Cities. read more

We found Treehouse on our drive trip east 1 1/2 yrs ago. We could have stopped anywhere driving back home this year, but wanted a repeat experience of the best burger we've ever had: the Bacon Explosion Burger. It's a great combination of 1/2 lb Prime Rib ground beef(!) on a brioche bun, bacon jam, pecan wood smoked strips of bacon Gouda cheese, garnished on the side w/ tomato/red onion/lettuce & pickles. Choice of fries (russet or sweet potato). Best sweet potato fries ever. Server, Taylor, was polite, fun & attentive. Their menu has greatly increased in scope & will boggle your mind. Everyone was friendly as could be, and we will return when driving through the beautiful state of Iowa the next time we're on our way to/from NYC from Idaho. read more

The treehouses is one of the best stops in the QC! This place wasn't on our list for a while, not sure why we were overlooking it. We first stopped about 6 months ago and have stopped in probably ~8 times since then. Every time we have visited(without exception) the service has been great and the food and drink "outstanding". Even our teenage kids have joined us a couple of times and loved the food(they are tough to please). I travel quite a bit and if I could find a "Treehouse" in every city, that is where I would be at the end of everyday; welcoming atmosphere, great food, great staff and engaged management/owner (all seemingly hard to find nowadays). Laid back live music is icing on the cake. I don't write a lot of reviews and hate to admit that it is usually when something sucked, but this place definitely doesn't. read more

Local pub was pretty busy on a Sunday and had all tv's going with football. Fun atmosphere. This was my first visit here. The service is what threw me off, unfortunately. My first introduction to how this place was operated was coasters being tossed on the table as server approached and quickly asked "What 'cha drinkin'"? She listened and moved immediately on to the next table without acknowledging anything. I had to interrupt her to up sell myself an appetizer. Lol. She came back and forgot my son's drink because she had the other table's drinks too. No biggie. When she returned she took our order and I never saw her again until the food appeared. Again the food was dropped off without word and she moved quickly on. I caught her and asked for napkins. Food was good overall. I do warn to double check your burger cooking temp before biting in. I asked for to-go box and waited for some time watching tv and such. Finally I wanted to go so I just got up and asked somebody else for a box. Maybe my server was just doing too much? Needed help? Shift change? I don't know and I don't even know her name because she never said it. Needless to say my tip reflected what my service level was. I felt bad, but servers should not expect a handout. I want to preface this by saying that we've eaten here at least 5-6 other times (& at different times of the day/evening). We came to eat here last weekend @ lunch & I debated getting up & leaving. The 'background' music was at a dance club volume level. I finally asked the staff to turn it down (after 15 minutes, thinking it was just a song or 2) so that we could have a conversation across the 2' table without yelling at each other. The staff did manage to get it down to a level that was still louder than necessary (but I didn't have to yell across the table), but told me that it would probably get turned back up again. When the football game came on, it went way up again. It was seriously ridiculous & I noticed that I wasn't the only one wincing when it went back up (& this was people who were obviously there to watch the game). Supposedly the other side of the restaurant doesn't have any music/TV sound at all, but it's loud enough on the bar side that it would still be blaring in the 'no speaker' area too. I can understand that if there is a game on that they do turn the volume up louder & that is fine, but they need to give you the option to sit elsewhere when you walk in. They did give us the option to move, but I really didn't think it would make that much difference as it's not a very big place. I don't think I will go back again unless it's confirmed that they've started making their background noise actually *part of the background*. If it would have been just the football game, I wouldn't have been nearly as irritated, but this was the regular 'background' music too. If I want to go out to a bar/club, I expect that noise level... but at 1:30 in the afternoon having lunch? No thank you. The staff was very nice & the food was pretty good, but the atmosphere ruined it completely. read more

Awesome service, not just from our server, Addie, but I got several thank yous from staff as we headed out. That always makes me feel as if our business is truly appreciated and feel good about spending my money there. Great beer selection. Fun seasonal cocktails. We had a good sized group and split several appetizers--pulled pork nachos, bacon Mac and cheese, pizza bread, fire roasted stuffed mushrooms. Only criticism is the dipping sauce for the pizza bread was cold, like just out of the fridge cold. Pulled pork nachos were my favorite. Split the half size plantation salad with 3 others and still took soon home. Delicious! Par 3 pizza was fantastic as well. They did a fun little celebration for my birthday and the big tree swings kept my son entertained. Will definitely be back! read more

Cute fun and cozy. From out of town and we had a small family gathering here. Our waitress was very pleasant, drinks and food were great. For some odd reason it smelled very barbaque upon entering, but fortunatily there was a great selection on the menu and it was not a barbaque pitt. Was there yesterday (07/13/2020) having lunch with 5 others, atmosphere is wonderful outside, food good, we all had salads, not hard to mess up a salad but one was lacking a topping of anchovies which she stated they were out of. The waitress was quick with an apology but should of offered the customer a different option if she wanted. Then either a manager or the owner came over to our table and explained to us what was going to be happening with more outdoor additions, sounded amazing but then he had to throw out political statements which should not be happening from a person in charge of customer relations. One star because my pizza and red moscato was tasty. I wish I had know about all the other issues and poor ethics tied to this establishment though. I would have never gave them my money and I will never be back again. I can see how this passes as a nicer restaurant in the area, but I would argue there are better. It's just basic bar food, the food and beverage menus are huge which is usually a tell tale sign the restaurant has some problems. I like the wood fire touch, but my pizza came out burnt around the edges. The server was decent, I think her name was Hailey, she was doing what she could, but it's not fine dining service. They do well to make the interior feel like an oasis from the strip mall location with a crappy parking lot, but again the plethora of TVs with sports on does not make fine dining or a "date night" dining spot imo. It's a lot of chaotic energy and not relaxing. And the tables are stacked on top of each other. Google the place and ownership prior and then enter at your own risk. read more

We were a group of six. It took at least an hour to get served our meals after placing the order. The food was unremarkable. Had to remind server to provide napkins and utensils and took several minutes to get them. No staff wore masks, thus any patron wearing a mask had more concern for employees health than they had for their customers. The wise crack comment the owner made towards one in our party who was masked was unwelcome. Granted, they were very busy this Saturday evening, but they appeared very disorganized and overall were less than hospitable. This one of our go-to dinner spots in the area! Treehouse has a relaxed vibe, with plenty of screens to watch sports, and a nice outdoor area when the weathers nice! We are out of towners who visited due to the recommendation of the nearby hotel staff. We are 5 people, 3 of whom are children. We came after a typical dinner rush. We were seated right away and decided to sit on the patio where there was live music. Inside there was music and sports on the many TVs inside. No joke, service is slow. But we brought good conversation, enjoyed the music and the ambience. We also were not in a hurry. Food was awesome. One of us ordered the maple tree bacon pizza, which was fantastic. Two ordered burgers, and both remarked that they were delicious. Appetizer of wings was well received, and the accelerator salad was devoured. Kids loved it, adults loved it. read more

The owner met us at. the door, made us feel welcome, described his specials that day and hooked us up with a talented server. She suggested their signature jalapeño peppers for a start, nothing like the fried bombs sold elsewhere...these are hand selected giant peppers, sliced and filled with good stuff, smothered in cheese and broiled. To die for. The steak/shrimp/scallop entre was perfect in flavor and preparation. Value / Price is right in line. This is a must stop if in the Quad Cities. Stopped in at 1:45 on a Saturday. Service was a little sketchy but food quality was excellent. Manager/owner Brian came over to resolve a drink order issue and offered a complimentary drink for the mistakes. He also checked on us two more times and told us about a special dinner feature available on weekends and hoped we would give them another try. We will definitely return. I've been reading about the Treehouse Pub and Eatery for months and was very curious to come and see which rumors were true. Turns out everything I read about the service was dead on, possibly even downplayed. However the food was really great all around, making my experience, in reality, probably about 3.5 stars. Because I'd still like to come back sometime, I'm bumping my rating up to 4. They lost our reservation. When we arrived, at 6:30 on a Friday, we were told that "whomever took your reservation must have forgotten to write it down." Huh?! Isn't that, like, the only necessary step of taking a reservation? Isn't it just a phone call otherwise? Luckily it was early and there was a table big enough for our group available anyway. Eventually our waitress arrived. Eventually she brought a drink menu (one, for our table of nine). Eventually she brought out drinks. Eventually our food. Eventually I had to go find her standing by the bar to find out about refills. When she did come to our table, she would periodically apologize for the poor service, explaining 'My life is a mess right now.' What? Stop. Also she never removed her sunglasses, even well after the sun had gone down and it was actually dark outside, which was fascinating. The food, as I've already mentioned, was fantastic. We started with a generous portion of hummus, which was awesome, and came with a small cup of pesto that was even better, but it was almost like the kitchen was running low on carrot and celery sticks, as we started out with about eight, then got maybe six more upon request, leaving us with about a cup of hummus that we had no way to eat. I ordered a Par 4 pizza, which was bacon jam with bacon and cheese, and it was like a party in my mouth. There were a couple of other pizzas at our table, and a couple of people ordered side salads which were ENORMOUS had full of really high quality vegetables and lettuce. I got to try somebody's plantation dressing, apparently a Quad City institution, and loved it. The girl sitting next to me ordered chicken sliders that looked absolutely perfect. Portions were generous; I wound up with half a leftover pizza, perfect for feeding my hangover the next morning. So I'm sold on the cooking, and that's what I'll come back for. And, to be fair, it was very busy on Friday night. Still, the bathroom was completely of toilet paper, and when I told somebody, she said, "I know," before stalking off in a totally different direction. And between getting our waitress to bring the check, getting her to take the payment, and getting her to distribute the receipts, settling the bill took more than thirty minutes. If you want to roll the dice and visit the Treehouse it's possible that you could, eventually, end up with a really delicious meal. The chaos in the front of the house seems not to extend to the back of the house. Make sure you've scheduled plenty of time, and bring along a friend who's an excellent conversationalist; you'll need the diversion while you wait. read more

Came for beer and a few appetizers. Appetizers were VERY mediocre. Beer selection was average for the QC area. The (what I presume to be) the owner was quite drunk at the bar. We sat on the deck. When we walked by the bar to head to the deck, came in to use the restroom, and when we left.. each time he did something different that was very off putting. I assume he was the owner because when I walked in he yelled at me, "THE BATHROOM'S THAT WAY! CALL IT THE MAN CAVE! DECORATED IT MYSELF!" I said, "Um.. okay, thank you?" At one point, the lights turned off on the deck, mind you its 10 pm so it's now very dark. He pops his head out the door, "YOU GUYS LIKE IT WITH THE LIGHT ON OR THE LIGHT OFF??" CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD BILL AFTER EATING THERE. Would have given this eatery a good review if it wasn't for the fact that an extra tip was added to my credit card when the receipt clearly shows a big X on the tip line and the total amount on the bottom final line. My Brother and I ate there and I paid the bill while my brother left a 25% tip in CASH.They also automatically add an additional convenience fee for using a Credit Card on top of everything. I called to get it corrected and they admitted the wrong change but told me they could not credit back my card and I would have to come back down there to get my money back...really...keep the money, you get a review instead!!!
