We came to visit TREE HOUSE. This location is easy to spot because it has huge, all-glass windows around it. They greeted us right away and told us they had their main menu and a small area for breakfast. We chose for a meal to get. My wife ordered a Mediterranean Combo, there were choices of Grilled chicken, falafel, or skirt steak, we chose the Skirt steak for our protein with a side of Onion Rings. I ordered an Ahi Tuna burger with a side of Onion rings. For the drinks that come with our combo, we chose Matcha Latte and Thai Tea. The Mediterranean bowl was packed and so much flavor on it. I really like my Ahi Tuna burger, that's the best one, juicy and delicious. All in all it's a great Lunch, I will come back again to this place for sure. Treehouse has a beautiful open-air perch when you first see it, and once you go up the stairs you arrive at a tall light-filled space with patios on either side. In addition to the beautiful wood and windows, the menu offerings are some of the most appealing in my book. Their best drink is the dirty chai latte. Our barista Alfi was great and brought our order of portobello fries to us at a booth we sat down at. They have great appetizers and fusion influence in addition to pizza and truly good prices to match. I find the two bar counters very convenient and would love to come eat and work here again. You're paying for the ambience more than anything else. I used to come here a lot when there wasn't a section for no computers and it used to be a decent enough study area. I'd prefer starbucks over their beverages and their food items are pretty basic. Also the wifi hardly works. Regardless this place was cool until they made sections for no computers which makes this place super crowded even earlier in the morning. One thing Ive noticed is how rude the staff has become, especially the older male managers. They're so manners or etiquette in telling me and a friend that we couldn't sit in the out door seating area when we had just arrived and were trying to find any place to use our laptops. He was so rude we decided to leave and he watched us like a hawk until we drove off. As we were driving off, I noticed other outdoor seating all through the building's perimeter so I figured it had nothing to do with this business. I didn't want to be rude and just sit there so I looked around to see if any workers were there to ask if I was allowed to sit in these empty tables. While standing outside a building to see if there were workers inside for 2.5 seconds another man from across the street comes out and very rudely asked if he could help me. He was one of the managers from treehouse and I asked him if this was a place I could study and he looked at me like I was dumb and he was very disrespectful in cutting me off. He was watching me drive off like I was a delinquent (I'm just a girl who's 5 feet with a ucsd backpack clearly looking like a student who wanted to study) so I'm not sure what threat I looked like. I felt very ashamed for asking but I really wasn't trying to be a nuisance and even after their rude comments I was very quick to say sorry for being a bother. Reflecting back, I didn't deserve to be spoken to like that and the staff should work on being kinder especially since kindness costs nothing. read more

Hidden in the suburbs almost as though intentional. Perhaps I'm not even supposed to be writing about this. Treehouse has such a beautiful space--it's modern, simple yet not too minimal, and serene. It's like being in a posh hotel lobby without the morning checkout rush. Lots of patio space and great seating. This is the an ideal spot to relax, focus, or actually work. Everyone respects the silence as if it was the subtle rule. I was completely in awe. I got a mocha and enjoyed it outside; it was decent and a tad bit sweet for me. I love visiting different coffee shops/cafes and the Treehouse was one that I saw on my fyp. There is a parking structure next to the shop that you can park at or there is also street parking available. It is located up the second floor, which you can take stairs or an elevator up. The inside was very spacious, high ceilings and plenty of seats depending on the time you come in. I went on Veterans Day and I came in early around 9 am and there were seats available, throughout the day, it got busy and I noticed people were struggling to find a seat. The downside is that it is closed weekends so if you work Monday to Friday, you may not be able to experience it. I got an iced matte latte with oat, which was a lighter green matcha. I probably wouldn't recommend it to people who are looking for a good matcha drink. read more

Tried Treehouse Café for lunch and was really impressed! I had the chicken sando with gochujang sauce and fries--super flavorful, juicy (not dry at all), and the fries were hot and crispy. Definitely something I'd order again. The space itself is huge with tons of seating, bright and airy even though it's set inside an office building. It has a modern, open vibe that makes it feel more like a community spot than just a café. I also liked that there are other options on-site, like a coffee shop, so it's easy to grab a drink before or after eating. Bottom line: Great food, spacious and inviting atmosphere, and perfect for lunch if you're in the area. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu! read more

I had the poke, but honestly don't feel too great after eating it.... Also, although it was extremely busy the service is really quick. My experience however was completely thrown off by how I was treated. As a first-time customer, I didn't realize there was a "no laptop" section because there wasn't a sign on my table (even though I later noticed some on others). While I was eating, a staff member came up to me and, in a pretty blunt and unfriendly tone, told me I could finish my food but then had to leave and move. I understand having rules about laptop use -- that's totally fine. But the way it was communicated felt unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming, especially for someone who was clearly new and already dining there. A simple, friendly explanation would have made a huge difference. Hopefully staff can work on their approach, because interactions like that make people not want to come back read more

UCSD has discovered this place as almost every table in the early afternoon had college kids with their laptops studying at the tables. This is an incredible co working space! Tons of seating and natural light and the structure has a ton of parking. (Looks like it's in a new business park so go visit before they finish the structure and start charging haha) The staff was very friendly and my food and coffee came out pretty fast. I got the chile smash burger (DELISH) and the toasted marshmallow iced latte. The coffee was pretty good just a little sweet but I think that was just the flavor choice on my part. If you're going to advertise this as a shared community workspace - Get more plugs! There was a row of them above booth style seating in the center, but if you don't snag one of those, charge before coming! 2. The WiFi was not working! My friend and I ended up using our hot spots and when I inquired about this to one of the staff, they unfortunately did not have a solution. Our first time experience there was horrible and disappointing. 9am when we arrived at the place, not so busy at that time, I was scrolling through their menu online and sat down to study with my classmates when a bald man staff didn't even bother stopping and continuously walked when he started telling us about their "no outside food or drink" policy. He went back to us for the second time under a minute while we were packing our things to recommend "drinking our drinks outside then comeback". When we decided to just go somewhere else and looking for place to go, he talked to us again outside 20 ft. away saying "courtyard is close and for tenants only" mind you we were not even sitting anywhere that time, we were just standing outside for just a few seconds. First of all he's the one that recommended us drinking our drinks outside first then comeback. I feel like he could've approached the situation in a better way and not be so blunt and rude about explaining the do's and don'ts for their first timers. They don't even have visible signs about their policy too. He needs to work on his communication techniques because the place itself has a good ambiance on it but not right after encountering with him, he looks like he's one of the managers there as well he should know better about communicating with their customers in a friendly manner. read more

Treehouse Sorrento Valley is such a cool spot tucked into the biosciences business park. I stopped by The Can Do and ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and their avocado toast. The service was friendly and the iced latte was honestly one of the best I've had in San Diego: 10/10. Smooth, balanced vanilla flavor (not too sweet or artificial) and they use the good ice (Chick-fil-A ice fans will know what I mean). The avocado toast was $11 and came out absolutely beautiful with edible flowers on top and a generous amount of avocado. I'd rate it 8.9/10. The only thing I'd change is slightly larger bread since there were a few times I went to take a bite and avocado was falling off, which is not a bad problem to have, just something I noticed. Yes, the total was a little over $20 with tip, but the space itself makes it worth it. The design is stunning, there's lots of seating (though the shady spots fill up fast in the late morning), and the overall vibe is inspiring. It felt good like being surrounded by other working creatives: people on laptops, recording content, editing, etc. The atmosphere is easily a 10/10.
